We look at the new Pixel Buds Pro 2, the most recent iteration of their evolving ear buds series. Pixel Buds Pro 2 reviewed Here comes the latest version, how different will they be? How good will the noise cancelling be, especially now that some other types we have reviewed recently have really raised the level in terms of what you can now come to expect. How is the price relative to other options out there? Our testers had enjoyed the previous two iterations of the buds, so they were certainly interested. The snaggy, hooked ear holders are absent. Instead you have a range of mini 'black tyres' to adjust where needed. That said our testers were happy from the get go and felt that the size that they came with did the job perfectly well. They are light, fit well, and don't seem inclined to fall out, so maybe we have all, users and designers, been over thinking the whole will it fit issue. They are described and water and sweat resistant. With the first you never really want to deeply try this, and the second, after a moment of ick sensation, you realise it is not something you ever deeply thought about. As always you are reluctant to truly trash something to see if it is actually true or not. Therefore our testers slightly sat on the fence for this one. Switching in and out of the sound mode is near instant and not too clunky, so that works well. Overall our testers felt these were pretty good, not crazily expensive, especially with some of the deals on various large scale selling platforms. As always one of the interesting factors will be how quickly they charge, and retain their charge a year or more down the road but this is impossible to know for now. It seems like a solid evolution of the design, and they do sound good, stay in your ear well, and hopefully we will continue to not lose them at our end. A thumbs up from our testers. More about Pixel Buds Pro 2 Pixel Buds Pro 2 are deeply integrated with your other Pixel devices. Features like Clear Calling,3 Spatial Audio with head tracking, precise location tracking of your buds and case with Find My Device,4 and seamless switching make them the best earbuds for everything Pixel. We will shortly be reviewing the Pixel Buds Pro 2, so here is some general information about them ahead of the review. 10 Things to Know About Pixel Buds Pro 2 Designed to be the most comfortable earbuds. Pixel Buds Pro 2 are designed to be the most comfortable and secure-fitting earbuds. They were designed using 45 million data points from ear scans to come up with the optimal shape for maximum comfort and a secure fit. Combined with the new Tensor A1 chip, we were further able to reduce the size by 27% as well as make them lighter while increasing performance and battery life. Twist-to-adjust stabilizer for adaptable fit during exercise. Use the twist-to-adjust stabilizer when you're exercising to lock your Pixel Buds Pro 2 securely in your ear, or adjust in the other direction for all-day comfort. The first Tensor chip in an earbud. The Tensor A1 chip was built for advanced audio processing and Google AI. It processes audio 90 times faster than the speed of sound to adapt to you and your environment, cancels twice as much noise, and helps deliver clear calls. Silent Seal 2.0 cancels twice as much noise. Active Noise Cancellation with Silent Seal 2.0 adapts to your environment up to 3 million times per second, and adapts to your ear to cancel up to twice as much noise as before. By expanding the frequency range, Silent Seal 2.0 also cancels a wider range of noises, including even higher frequencies. Upgraded acoustic architecture for premium sound. Pixel Buds Pro 2 have large 11 mm drivers for powerful bass and a new highfrequency chamber for smooth treble. Multi-path processing on the Tensor A1 chip adds an additional signal path for music. This allows it to bypass the Silent Seal processing chain to deliver unaltered, pure sound to the speaker drivers. Improved Clear Calling. Clear Calling on Pixel reduces the noise around the person on the other side of the call, enhancing their voice so you can hear them even more clearly. For example, when your friend is on the subway, you'll hear them clearly through your Pixel Buds Pro 2, no matter which phone and earbuds they use. This year, updated algorithms reduce noise in even more settings. No more taking out earbuds to talk. With Conversation Detection, Pixel Buds Pro 2 use AI to tell when you start speaking. Your music gets paused and the earbuds switch to Transparency mode. When the conversation ends, the music resumes automatically, going back to Active Noise Cancellation without you taking any action. More precise location tracking for your earbuds and case. Pixel Buds Pro 2 support the new Find My Device network, so you can find your earbuds' precise location on a map. When you're close, just ring them or the charging case to find them even faster. Switch audio automatically. Easily switch from watching a movie or show on your tablet to listening to your running playlist on your watch. The best earbuds for Pixel. Pixel Buds Pro 2 are deeply integrated with your other Pixel devices. Features like Clear Calling,3 Spatial Audio with head tracking, precise location tracking of your buds and case with Find My Device,4 and seamless switching make them the best earbuds for everything Pixel. But as the technology has evolved, it has grown beyond stocking stuffers into a $4B industry with limitless uses for consumers and businesses alike.   Pebblebee is at the forefront of Tracking 3.0 and is creating a connected global tracking ecosystem for all.    A major complaint against digital tracking solutions such as AirTag, SmartTag, Tile, etc. is that they either only work exclusively for iOS or Android, or you have to  use it with a specific app. Pebblebee is the first tracking solution that is cross platform compatible and works natively on iOS or Android.    Pebblebee includes both B2B and B2C offerings. The company has announced new partnerships in 2023 with sports brands including Peak Ski Company and Henry-Griffitts golf clubs.   On May 10, Pebblebee will be part of a major global announcement and will be introducing three new devices that will further the company's mission to create its global tracking ecosystem.     Pebbelbee – Track What Matters Most   Notes: Meet the next generation rechargeable item trackers for Android   3 New Tracking Products in 2023 Tag for Android Our smallest rechargeable item tracker ever! 8-month battery life, loud buzzer, bright LED, and compatibility with Find My Device. Today Apple and Google jointly submitted a proposed industry specification to help combat the misuse of Bluetooth location-tracking devices for unwanted tracking. The first-of-its-kind specification will allow Bluetooth location-tracking devices to be compatible with unauthorized tracking detection and alerts across iOS and Android platforms. Samsung, Tile, Chipolo, eufy Security, and Pebblebee have expressed support for the draft specification, which offers best practices and instructions for manufacturers, should they choose to build these capabilities into their products.   “Apple launched AirTag to give users the peace of mind knowing where to find their most important items,” said Ron Huang, Apple's vice president of Sensing and Connectivity. “We built AirTag and the Find My network with a set of proactive features to discourage unwanted tracking — a first in the industry — and we continue to make improvements to help ensure the technology is being used as intended. This new industry specification builds upon the AirTag protections, and through collaboration with Google results in a critical step forward to help combat unwanted tracking across iOS and Android.”   “Bluetooth trackers have created tremendous user benefits, but they also bring the potential of unwanted tracking, which requires industrywide action to solve,” said Dave Burke, Google's vice president of Engineering for Android. “Android has an unwavering commitment to protecting users, and will continue to develop strong safeguards and collaborate with the industry to help combat the misuse of Bluetooth tracking devices.”     Seg. 4 RFID – tracking tech with badges Safety – tech tracking to find people in remote places like ski mountains or hiking trails Long Range tracking thru radar tech like walkie talkie  Satellite connectivity w/ smart phone – track people with little to no cell coverage, using direct line of sight to the sky for a satellite  Safety on college campus – ie – Georgia Tech implemented safety alert system Other industries can use this type of tech also – Hospitals with nurses, or Hotel staff  Crowd GPS – can pick up tracking device via other cell devices in close area, if person with tracker lost their phone     Tech Topic: https://brt-show.libsyn.com/category/Tech   More - BRT Best of Tech: Best of AZ Tech Council BRT of Tech 2022 BRT S02 EP52 (99) 12-26-2021 – Tech for the Holidays – BRT    Thanks for Listening Please Subscribe to the Podcast   Business Roundtable with Matt Battaglia The show where Entrepreneurs, High Level Executives, Business Owners, and Investors come to share insight and ideas about the future of business. BRT 2.0 looks at the new trends in business, and how classic industries are evolving.  Common Topics Discussed: Business, Entrepreneurship, Investing, Stocks, Cannabis, Tech, Blockchain / Crypto, Real Estate, Legal, Sales, Charity, and more…  BRT Podcast Home Page: https://brt-show.libsyn.com/ ‘Best Of' BRT Podcast: Click Here BRT Podcast on Google: Click Here BRT Podcast on Spotify: Click Here                    More Info: https://www.economicknight.com/podcast-brt-home/ KFNX Info: https://1100kfnx.com/weekend-featured-shows/   Disclaimer: The views and opinions expressed in this program are those of the Hosts, Guests and Speakers, and do not necessarily reflect the views or positions of any entities they represent (or affiliates, members, managers, employees or partners), or any Station, Podcast Platform, Website or Social Media that this show may air on. 8 Steps To Take After Your Phone Gets Lost or Stolen 1. Call Your Phone It's possible that you simply misplaced your phone. Call your number and send a text. If the phone is within reach, you will hear it. Or if you misplaced it, someone may answer. 2. Log On To Find My Phone on iPhone or Find My Device on Google For an Android phone, use Google's Find My Device. For an iPhone, go to Find My iPhone. Use those services to send a sound to the phone, display a message on the lock screen or erase the data on your phone. 3. Notify Your Service Provider You want to inform your carrier of the loss. It can suspend your service until you locate your phone or buy a new one. Your carrier can also prevent the phone from being used on its network and mark the phone as unusable, even with a new SIM card.  4. File a Report With the Police Why? In case the phone is used for illegal activity or if you incur fraudulent charges or identity theft. 6. Change Your Passwords If a thief has your phone, that person can potentially gain access to all of your personal information, including your passwords and security questions for the websites you visit. Change all of your passwords and security questions. 7. Contact Your Bank, Credit Card Companies and Other Financial Institutions Notify all major financial and other important agencies of the loss so that they are aware your accounts are in danger. You can ask the bank and credit card companies to issue new cards. 8. Think About Insurance If you have coverage for your phone, contact the insurance company. Contact your cell provider and see if it covers any of the replacement costs. If you use a credit card to pay your monthly phone bill, contact the issuer. Some offer replacement coverage at no cost to you. https://clark.com/credit-cards/credit-cards-free-cell-phone-protection/ 35 companies. Usually there is a $50 deductible then they cover between $500 to $800 for a new phone.  4 Steps To Take Before Your Phone Gets Lost or Stolen 1. Make a List of Important Information For a cell phone, log the place and date of purchase, the amount of the purchase, the make and model of the phone, the serial number and the IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) or MEID (Mobile Equipment Identifier) number.  2. Set Strong Security Settings Using a password plus biometric authentication is best. Biometric authentication is when you use your fingerprint, facial or voice recognition to log in to your phone. Also, use a strong password. If your phone allows it, skip the 4-digit PIN and instead choose a password that is at least eight characters long and contains a combination of letters, numbers and symbols. Both Apple and Android phones will lock you out after so many failed login attempts. An iPhone will disable for 1 minute after six failed passcode attempts in a row. The seventh incorrect passcode attempt will lock you out for 5 minutes, the eighth attempt for 15, and the tenth for an hour. 3. Enable Find My Phone When this setting is enabled, you can use a computer or other device to locate your phone if it turns up missing. For it to work, the phone must be turned on and connected to Wi-Fi or cellular. It can also report the last known location that was logged as long as you have location tracking turned on.You can also choose to share your location with friends and family and locate your device even when it is offline. 4. Backup Your Phone When you set up a new phone, you will be prompted to enable backup. Apple uses iCloud and Android uses Google Drive. Follow the prompts to enable the backup feature.  The idea for this show came from a Great Clark Howard article. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/elgordocircuito/message
