President Donald Trump is on day two of his U.K. state visit. While Wednesday saw plenty of pomp and circumstance, today will bring the business end. Trump is set to meet with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, and talks about trade and Ukraine are likely to top the agenda. Trump will be back in the U.S. later today, and he's returning as Washington grapples with two big pieces of news: Disney indefinitely pulled Jimmy Kimmel's late-night show off the air over comments made in the aftermath of Charlie Kirk's killing. Meanwhile, Trump said in a post on Truth Social that he is designating the antifa movement a terrorist organization. Playbook's Jack Blanchard and White House reporter Megan Messerly break it all down.

//The Wire//2300Z September 18, 2025////ROUTINE////BLUF: TRUMP STATES INTENT TO CLASSIFY ANTIFA AS TERRORIST ORGANIZATION. CHICAGO MAYOR LAMENTS IMPENDING NATIONAL GUARD DEPLOYMENT.// -----BEGIN TEARLINE------HomeFront-Illinois: Statements by local mayor Brandon Johnson have continued to escalate as the National Guard deployment to Chicago draws near. Johnson stated that “Jails and incarceration and law enforcement is a sickness that has not led to safe communities”, and that he intends to "eradicate" this "sickness".Analyst Comment: It is often a hard sell to convince the public that putting violent criminals in prison is against the best interests of the taxpayer, but Johnson continues to make that argument nonetheless. Right now there is no real confirmation of how the National Guard QRF is to be deployed around the city, though city and state opposition has been high.California: Following yesterday's statements by the FCC Chairman, the ABC network has pulled the Jimmy Kimmel show from it's timeslot indefinitely.Analyst Comment: The network does not care about the crass statements that were made, as it encouraged this behavior for many years. However, getting their license yanked at a time where their ratings are already down would not have been a positive outcome for them.Washington D.C. - Yesterday evening President Trump stated his intent to designate ANTIFA as a terrorist organization on social media.-----END TEARLINE-----Analyst Comments: Beyond President Trump's short post on social media, no details have been provided on this designation yet, or how it's going to work out paperwork-wise. ANTIFA certainly has foreign roots, but in most cases is not explicitly foreign-controlled, so a designation by the State Department as being an FTO might not be an adequate fit. Nevertheless, if the intent is to create a label that ensures more federal charges can be pursued against militants (instead of the catch-and-release that ANTIFA is used to), there are plenty of options. The White House is probably also looking at RICO options regarding the bail-fund practices for ANTIFA members, which have industrialized the process of rotating through the court system.More directly, ANTIFA activities are certain to increase due to this designation, whatever it works out to be. Low-level demonstrations are certain to take place in the usual areas, and more kinetic "Direct Action" attacks are also quite likely to spring up, though larger efforts may take some time to organize. Either way, ANTIFA can certainly mobilize faster than government forces can respond in most cases, though the biggest barriers to ANTIFA operations right now are funding and a lack of coherent picture at higher levels of organization. For many years, ANTIFA has had no natural predators in their environment, and has been allowed to conduct all manner of activities without any sort of barriers at all. Designating this group as a terrorist organization also isn't really necessary; almost all ANTIFA publications directly state that they seek to use violence to further their political goals...which is the textbook definition of terrorism. Where a federal "terrorism" label (however it works out) can be applied, is in cases where local prosecutors won't prosecute terrorist attacks, or more importantly, in the dismantling of the financial networks which have openly been operating under shady LLCs and nonprofit groups, which have acted as shell corporations for ANTIFA funding sources. This still requires federal agencies and prosecutors to *actually prosecute* under the current laws that exist, which is still a bridge too far in most jurisdictions.Analyst: S2A1Research: https://publish.obsidian.md/s2underground//END REPORT//

Utah prosecutors have charged 22-year-old Tyler Robinson with aggravated murder in the shooting of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk. The charges include obstruction of justice, witness tampering, and multiple firearm offenses. According to the affidavit, Robinson confessed to both his roommate — with whom he was in a romantic relationship — and his father. Investigators say Robinson admitted that the motive was political. He told his roommate that “some hate cannot be negotiated” and accused Kirk of “spreading hatred.”Prosecutors allege that Robinson carved antifascist slogans into the bullet casings used in the shooting. They say he left behind clothes and a backpack at the scene, both of which tested positive for his DNA. A bolt-action rifle was found nearby. Surveillance footage and Discord messages allegedly link Robinson to planning the attack, though he has not spoken directly to police. His roommate, someone transitioning from male to female who has not been publicly identified, is cooperating with investigators.Politics Politics Politics is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber. Also at the scene was a second man, George Zinn, who approached police with a knife and told them to shoot him. Zinn allegedly said he had been trying to help Robinson escape. He has not been charged in the shooting, but prosecutors say he was found with child pornography. The two men were not known to each other before that day. This case does not follow the familiar patterns of mental instability or mass shooting chaos. Prosecutors have outlined what they describe as a deliberate, targeted act with ideological motivation. Robinson allegedly stated that he believed the shooting would be “the only way” to stop Kirk. The firearm used was a bolt-action rifle, which indicates planning rather than impulsivity.Governor Spencer Cox, in his television appearances, struck a more composed tone than in his initial press conference. That earlier moment felt like a political speech. Over the weekend, however, he appeared more focused on unity and de-escalation. That stands in contrast to Trump, whose responses were angrier and more inflammatory. The White House has not issued a formal statement, but administration officials have been briefed. One of the major talking points emerging in political media is whether this attack fits into a broader pattern. Names like Paul Pelosi and Ashli Babbitt have been floated — but what happened here is categorically different. The suspect allegedly had a motive, a plan, and a clear ideological framework. This was not senseless. According to prosecutors, it was intentional and politically driven. It's still early, and these are only allegations. But the details laid out so far paint a clear picture: a targeted political killing, carried out in public, with motive stated directly. That's rare. And it's something we'll be forced to grapple with as the trial unfolds.Chapters00:00:00 - Intro00:02:15 - Charlie Kirk Suspect Arrested00:09:53 - Interview with Karol Markowicz00:53:28 - Update00:54:01 - Pam Bondi Hate Speech00:57:39 - Epstein01:00:15 - Hakeem Jeffries and Zohran Mamdani01:02:53 - Interview with Ryan McBeth01:52:45 - Wrap-up This is a public episode. VEHICLE RAMMING ATTACK REPORTED AT FBI OFFICE IN PITTSBURGH.// -----BEGIN TEARLINE------HomeFront-USA: Around the nation, various vandalism incidents continue at Charlie Kirk memorials. In North Carolina, a memorial was defaced at the UNC Wilmington campus, with the university making statements that passively endorsed the behavior and that no action will be taken. In Florida, the memorials painted at the "Graffiti Bridge" in Pensacola have also been heavily defaced over the past 24 hours, and another memorial was defaced in Arkansas as well.Pennsylvania: This afternoon multiple casualties were reported after police responded to a domestic disturbance call. 5x officers were wounded after a skirmish broke out at a rural property south of Spring Grove, with 3x officers remaining in critical condition as a result of the engagement. The suspect was recovered deceased at the scene.Overnight a vehicle ramming attack was reported at the FBI Field Office in Pittsburgh. Donald Henson was arrested after crashing his vehicle into the gates of the facility before fleeing the scene on foot. After a brief manhunt, the suspect was apprehended this morning.Analyst Comment: Though this was a targeted attack, this could be more of a case of mental illness rather than a more coherent attack. The suspect had painted statements on his vehicle, and had previously been reported for erratic behavior by family members.Arizona: A suspicious package was discovered outside the headquarters of Turning Point USA, which triggered a police response. EOD personnel were dispatched to examine the bag, which was determined to be a false-alarm.Alabama: This morning, one medevac helicopter was struck with effective Surface-to-Air Fire (SAFIRE) in the vicinity of County Road 51 in Autauga County. Local authorities arrested Peter Ellison for shooting a Life Flight helicopter in the process of responding to a medical emergency. Several rounds impacted the helicopter and one flight nurse was wounded during the attack.Washington D.C. - This morning FCC Chairman Brendan Carr made statements indicating an investigation into the ABC corporation's licensing stipulations, after comments were made during Jimmy Kimmel's show last night that falsely state that Tyler Robinson was a political conservative, and conducted the murder of Charlie Kirk as a result of conservative ideology.-----END TEARLINE-----Analyst Comments: One of the follow-on effects of the Kirk assassination is the closer examination of platforms which have allowed open calls for violence over the years, with no repercussions. This is why the CEOs of Twitch, Discord, Reddit, and Steam have been requested to testify before Congress next month regarding the overwhelmingly one-sided policing of content on their platforms.Several influencers and content streamers have openly called for violence against political conservatives for many years now, breaking many of these own companies Terms and Conditions for content production. Nevertheless, the violent rhetoric has been allowed for so long, that it's shifted out of the realm of a free-speech issue, and into the territory of quite literal attack planning efforts. The White House (mostly AG Pam Bondi and President Trump himself) is doing an exceptionally poor job at describing this investigative effort, framing the issue without the nuance required to clearly state what is happening. However, as the violence from the political left has not decreased, but rather increased after Kirk's murder, this is a detail very important for risk assessment at a time where the threats are becoming increasingly more serious.Analyst: S2A1Research: https://publish.obsidian.md/s2underground//END REPORT

Donate (no account necessary) | Subscribe (account required) Join Bryan Dean Wright, former CIA Operations Officer, as he dives into today's top stories shaping America and the world. In this episode of The Wright Report, we cover Trump's investigation into the groups behind Charlie Kirk's assassination, a second Venezuelan drug boat sunk by U.S. forces, the White House deal on TikTok, Trump's push to revive America's mining industry, and listener questions on Ilhan Omar, socialism, and whether the U.S. should split in two. From Marxist activists in Utah to uranium mines in Wyoming, today's brief connects the fights over America's culture, security, and survival.   Trump Investigates Groups Behind Charlie Kirk's Assassination: The FBI is probing ties between shooter Tyler Robinson and radical groups including Armed Queers Salt Lake City, trans activists, Marxists, online gamers, and even the “Furries.” VP JD Vance vowed to dismantle institutions like the Soros Open Society and Ford Foundation if found complicit, urging Americans: “When you see someone celebrating Charlie's murder, call them out. And call their employer.” Bryan warns that Marxist Queer Theory's strategy is to radicalize youth, break families, and build a socialist revolution.   U.S. Sinks Second Venezuelan Drug Boat: Trump confirmed the Navy destroyed another cartel vessel, killing three traffickers and scattering cocaine and fentanyl across the sea. “BE WARNED — IF YOU ARE TRANSPORTING DRUGS THAT CAN KILL AMERICANS, WE ARE HUNTING YOU!” he declared. Behind the scenes, Trump's CIA is quietly working with vetted Mexican Navy and Army units to target cartel leaders, leaving Mexico's president to deny cooperation in public while relying on U.S. intelligence in private.   TikTok Deal With China Raises Concerns: The White House reached a framework deal to keep TikTok running under new U.S. ownership, but China secured concessions on investment barriers and trade. Trump's team insists Beijing needs the deal more, as China's economy just suffered its worst month of the year. Bryan warns, “This President likes to make deals with Beijing… I'm nervous.”   Trump Builds Uranium Reserve to End Dependence on Russia: Energy Secretary Chris Wright announced a plan to stockpile uranium for America's 94 nuclear reactors, as Russia still supplies 25 percent of U.S. needs. The administration will repurpose $2 billion in Biden-era funds for critical minerals, including $500 million in cobalt and new reserves of bismuth, a metal once sold off by Bill Clinton. Bryan calls the Mineral Wars “one of Trump's most important legacies” if successful.   Listener Questions — Ilhan Omar, Socialism, and National Divorce: Bryan tells Nichole from Maryland that Omar should face a DNA test with her alleged brother, and if confirmed, be “denaturalized and deported on Air Pinochet.” Robert from Virginia flagged new polling showing Democrats prefer socialism, which Bryan calls “dense and dangerous.” And Morris from the Ozarks asked about national divorce, but Bryan warns partition would collapse America into chaos: “This is our country. We will either defend and reclaim it, or we will fall trying — just like Charlie did.”   "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." - John 8:32     Keywords: Charlie Kirk assassination Armed Queers Salt Lake City, Tyler Robinson shooter investigation, JD Vance Soros Ford Foundation quote, Queer Theory Marxism youth radicalization, Trump Navy sinks Venezuelan drug boat, CIA Mexico cartel targeting, Trump TikTok China deal, China economic slowdown August 2025, Trump uranium reserve Chris Wright, U.S. cobalt bismuth mineral wars, Ilhan Omar DNA brother marriage fraud, Democrat socialism poll Data for Progress, Marjorie Taylor Greene national divorce

Today's Headlines: Utah Gov. Spencer Cox says accused shooter Tyler Robinson isn't cooperating, but the Washington Post found Discord messages where Robinson admitted to the shooting hours before his arrest. FBI Director Kash Patel revealed Robinson had also suggested his plans in texts and a now-destroyed note. Investigators describe him as politically radicalized against Kirk, though he has no criminal record and was still in trade school. Meanwhile, VP JD Vance guest-hosted The Charlie Kirk Show from his White House office, joined by Tucker Carlson, Stephen Miller, and others. Miller went full scorched-earth, calling left-wing groups a “domestic terrorist movement” that the government would dismantle “in Charlie's name.” In other news, Trump wants companies to ditch quarterly earnings reports, the U.S. and China reached a tentative TikTok sale deal ahead of tomorrow's deadline, and the Trump administration plans to destroy $10M worth of contraceptives intended for low-income countries despite global offers to take them. Trump also bragged about another strike on a Venezuelan “drug boat,” Israel launched a new ground offensive into Gaza with Rubio nodding along, and NY Gov. This is the final episode of Elon, Inc., and it comes at a fitting point in the story of the highly controversial entrepreneur Elon Musk. The podcast was launched around the time the South Africa native bought and rebranded Twitter, transforming a mainstream social media platform into something else entirely. Now, the podcast has found a natural conclusion with his full return to his companies, his exit from the Trump administration and the unprecedented governmental upheaval, mass firings and grim global consequences left in his wake.To reflect on this tumultuous timeline, David Papadopoulos gathers the best and brightest Elon Musk experts the Bloomberg newsroom has to offer—including Bloomberg Businessweek’s Max Chafkin and Bloomberg News Musk reporter Dana Hull, technology reporter Kurt Wagner and editor Sarah Frier—to go through the most memorable Musk stories from the past few years and to peek into the future of Musk’s empire and potential political ambitions. Among the stories we discuss are Musk’s outburst directed at advertisers at the New York Times DealBook summit, that time when Musk and President Donald Trump were hawking Teslas from the White House driveway and the right-wing multibillionaire’s “awkward hand gesture.” But in the end, is there any story that can top the rise and fall of the Musk-Trump friendship? Probably not. Musk spent hundreds of millions of dollars getting the Republican back in the White House, but their partnership didn’t make it past the summer. As Chafkin says, “that was obviously the Elon feud to end all feuds.” When it comes to looking forward, speculation abounds, but one thought in particular wins the group’s approval: Hull’s prediction that the South Africa native will one day make good on his promise to open a candy company. As the Elon, Inc. podcast rides into the sunset, future Musk coverage will find a home on the new Bloomberg podcast, Everybody’s Business, co-hosted by Stacey Vanek Smith and Chafkin.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Why the U.S. military is striking boats from Venezuela

President Donald Trump recently celebrated the destruction of a boat that was allegedly carrying illegal narcotics from Venezuela to the United States. The 11 people on board were killed, according to the White House. Trump released a video on social media showing the boat going up in flames, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio has said that more attacks like this could be coming. Members of Congress have yet to gain more details or evidence into the unusual strike, which did not follow typical maritime protocols. The administration has claimed those on board were “narco-terrorists” and members of the criminal group Tren de Aragua, while Venezuela's leader Nicolas Maduro has called in thousands of reservists over concerns that this could be the opening shot in a broader conflict between the U.S. and Venezuela. These and other developments, including a rebranding of the Department of Defense and a visit by Pete Hegseth to Puerto Rico, have many wondering: Have we entered a new era in the nearly quarter-century war on terror? Today, host Colby Itkowitz speaks with national security reporter Tara Copp about the details of the attack and how Trump is making it a military priority to go after drug cartels. Today's show was produced by Elana Gordon with help from Lucas Trevor. It was edited by Peter Bresnan and mixed by Sean Carter. Special thanks to Andy deGrandpre. The Friends of History Debating Society: Setting, Immediate Events, and Media Critique The Friends of History Debating Society convenes with Gaius (also known as John Batchelor) hosting from Londinium, specifically a wine bar he favors. Michael Vlahos participates from the "Edge of the Empire." In his persona as Germanicus, Michael Vlahos is on a mission in Dalmatia, a "slightly untamed" region that serves as "connecting tissue" between the Roman Empire's eastern and western halves, visiting fortified places like Ragusa and planning a trip to Spalato. As Dramaticus, Michael Vlahos is "traveling on the road" and is reminded by Gaius to "walk with Centurions" for protection from potentially "obsequious and violent" locals. The society's purpose is to review weekly events through a "Roman eye," with participants seeing themselves as "Roman citizens" attempting to understand and potentially "help" the 21st century, while also observing. Gaius reports on a recent visit by Michael Vlahos (in his Dramaticus persona) to the "Imperial Court," or President Trump's White House, during the sad news of Mr. Kirk'sdeath. Despite this somber event, the overall atmosphere in the Oval Office was described as "busy, positive, energetic, attractive, and working perfectly," reminiscent of Augustus's imperial court. Gaius notes that the mainstream media, committed to "hurting Trump," unanimously portrays him as a "demon," "evil force," or "another Hitler," with his followers characterized as "Nazis" or "white supremacists." This rhetoric, according to Michael Vlahos, contributed to events like Mr. Kirk's assassination. Both Gaius and Michael Vlahos find this equating of speech with violence "immature and ignorant," revealing a lack of historical understanding among those in the "blue" faction.

The Rich Zeoli Show- Full Show (09/15/2025): 3:05pm- Last week, conservative political commentator Charlie Kirk was tragically murdered while speaking at a Turning Point USA event on Utah Valley University campus. In the aftermath, some on the far-left abhorrently defended the radicalized assassin's actions—simply because they didn't agree with Kirk's political opinions. 3:10pm- On Monday, Vice President JD Vance hosted The Charlie Kirk Show from the White House, explaining that political violence “is not a both sides problem” right now. He continued: “24% of self-described very liberals believe it is acceptable to be happy about the death of a political opponent, while only 3% of self-described very conservatives agree. 3% is too many, of course. Another truth is that 26% of young liberals believe political violence is sometimes justified. And only 7% of young conservatives say the same…The data is clear. People on the left are much likelier to defend and celebrate political violence.” 3:15pm- Joining VP Vance on The Charlie Kirk Show, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. revealed that Kirk was “the primary architect” behind unifying Kennedy with Donald Trump during the 2024 presidential election cycle. 3:30pm- Drew Allen— VP of Client Development at Publius PR and the Editor of the Publius National Post—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss his latest article “The Day Charlie Died.” You can find the full article here: https://substack.com/home/post/p-173559583. Clark also crashed a vigil for Kirk on Saturday—shamelessly arguing with attendees. 4:20pm- During a concert in London, Coldplay's lead singer Chris Martin took a moment to remember Charlie Kirk. Similarly, NFL teams like the Jets, Cowboys, Dolphins, Saints, Chiefs, Steelers, Titans, and Cardinals held moments of silence prior to the start of their games. 4:40pm- On Monday, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent told members of the press that U.S. and Chinese negotiators have agreed upon the framework for a deal involving the social media application TikTok. 5:05pm- President Donald Trump signed a presidential memorandum—and took questions from the press.
