Our lives are dependent on our bodies, and how we treat our bodies dictates the degree to which they operate. Shit in - shit out. This episode along with the previous one seems to be marking the start of my journey to better understanding ourselves on a strictly biological level. If you have an interest or an area of expertise that might be relevant I'm all ears and can be contacted via OTL's WhatsApp no. 0806047888
Data, when organised (put in formation) becomes information, and with information comes the possibility of narrative extraction. But when you have a pre existing narrative (or Ideology), how do you reverse engineer it to reveal the information that led to its inception? And from information, how do you reverse engineer it, to see the data which gave rise to it in the first place?! That's what this episode is all about. That and vaccines. And timelines. If you have anything to share on any of this I am all ears and you'll get me on 0896047888. As always I can be supported via patreon (link in bio) or by Revolut using the username @offthelead.

Please join MJ and Dr. Cynthia Vessel in part II as they discuss how education can win souls, the importance of wisdom, understanding & much more. I promise this will bless you!Contact: dr.cynthiavessel@gmail.comABOUT THE GUEST:At around seven years old, Prophetess Vessel accepted Jesus as her personal savior, after attending a service at the Gospel Mission on Skid Row in Chicago. There she was taught the Bible through stories about the various biblical characters as well as scriptures with their references that would be recited at churches throughout the Chicagoland area.Dr. Cynthia Vessel attended University of Illinois Chicago, Northeastern Illinois University and, lastly at National Louis University, where she earned a doctorate in Adult Continuing Education. Recorded live on Tuesdays at 8pm (UK time) on the Sports Therapy Association Facebook Page and also streamed live to YouTube, host Matt Phillips (creator of Runchatlive) brings guests from the Sports Therapy industry to answer YOUR questions and discuss topics chosen by YOU. As soft tissue therapists, how comfortable are you working with hypermobile individuals, be it within the athletic or non-athletic population? Is it just a case of handing out more strength work and being careful with stretches? In reality, Hypermobility is far from a straight forward syndrome, and it can often for example take an average of ten years for a diagnosis of Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. In Ep.41 of the Sports Therapy Association Podcast we are delighted to bring you Bonnie Southgate of pilatestherapy.co.uk, Sports Therapist, Pilates Teacher and Teacher Trainer. As a former professional ballerina in the USA and with the Royal Ballet in the UK, Bonnie has a fantastically instinctive understanding of how the body moves and superb knowledge on the subject of Hypermobility. In this hour of live chat, Bonnie takes us through the difference between hypermobility and hypermobility syndrome, how to recognise it, and screen for it, as well as looking at the causes and most importantly how to deal with it. It's a truly inspirational hour which highlights in particular how much WE can be doing as soft tissue therapists to help our patients and clients see the right person at the right time, which in many cases can make a huge impact on the quality of that person's life. Look out for details on the STA website of up & coming courses with Bonnie Southgate! In this episode, I chat with the wonderful Amy Bucher, VP of Behavior Change from Mad*Pow in Boston in the United States. We chat about the emerging role of behavior change design and how it intersects with other disciplines like service design and user experience. I'll also cover off my personal unease with behavior change design, and unpack its ethical use - and sometimes its misuse - across industries. Amy gives fascinating examples of her work in healthcare and how she has used behavior change design to help improve the lives of people using those services. And we discuss how behavior change design practitioners sit within a more traditional design process and discuss the origins of her new book Engaged: Designing for Behavior Change on Rosenfeld Media. In this week's episode of The Homespun Yak, Nic and Kyle take note of how "Black Friday" has expanded to encompass nearly the entire month of November. Back in their day, you had to drive down to the local Circuit City with your sleeping bag, camp out overnight with strangers, get trampled in the entryway of the store, and duel to the death just for the chance of buying the latest and greatest CD player that was 20% off. The musical and cultural 'Big Bang' that occurred in the 1960's is also discussed in great detail. Why do so many artists from that decade still have such a lasting impact today? Was Woodstock the pinnacle of 'Peace, Love and Understanding' so commonly characterized with that period in American History? Did psychedelics play a role in this massive shift in mentality? The guys share their opinions on this and so much more. Tune in, subscribe and support! If you already do, then Ich liebe dich. IG: @homespunyak
BISnet host Sam Harris sits down with colleague and fellow trainer Andy Southwell following their 2 day course 'Understanding and Supporting Autistic individuals with Demand Avoidance [PDA] and Strategies to support them.' A recording of guest presentations from a session on 'Preventing Harm and Building Resilience' at the Cumberland Lodge conference on 'Understanding and Policing Gangs', held in June 2019. The session was chaired by Dr Rick Muir, Director of the Police Foundation, the UK’s independent policing think tank. Our three guest speakers were: - Sherry Peck, Chief Executive of Safer London (from 1:20) - Will Linden, Co-Deputy Director of the Scottish Violence Reduction Unit (from 16:00) - PCC Mark Burns-Williamson OBE, Chair of The Association of Police and Crime Commissioners (from 28:45) Participants in the conference were invited to discuss the presentations in groups afterwards, and to put questions to the guest speakers. A recording of the 'Social Divisions & Identities' session from the Cumberland Lodge conference on 'Understanding and Policing Gangs' in June 2019, featuring presentations from: - John Pitts, Vauxhall Professor of Socio-legal Studies at the University of Bedfordshire's Institute of Applied Social Research (0:50) - Lord Victor Adebowale CBE, Chief Executive of Turning Point (from 17:52) This session was chaired by Chief Constable Olivia Pinkney QPM, national policing lead for children and young people, and the guest presentations were followed by group discussions and questions for the panel. Prof Pitts shares some of his wide-ranging research into the changing face of youth crime and gang culture in the UK today, drawing on examples from across the country. He addresses the question of how a sense of alienation, inequality and lack of belonging in disadvantaged communities can propel individuals to join high-risk groups. He also talks about the 'racialisation' of disadvantaged communities. Lord Adebowale describes his work on youth crime prevention and with gang members, including his work on the London Youth Crime Prevention Board. He talks about the 'flow' and 'stock' of gang membership, touching on knife crime, fear as a driver, declining youth service infrastructure, and the influence of parenting, as well as the rehabilitation of offenders and behavioural interventions. He describes gang culture not as a 'youth problem', but as 'an adult problem, which makes it our problem'. Today I'm heading over the border to Sunny Shropshire to talk to farmer and co-founder of Small Robot Company, Sam Watson Jones @samjwj @smallrobotco We talk about his family's farm near Newport where they've been for 4 generations, and the various enterprises they have going on there, and also Sam's decision to become a farmer whilst studying english literature at Newcastle University. We go into the various job's he during the 5 years he spent away from the farm, including teaching at a tough inner city secondary school, and working for a global consultancy firm. We also discuss some of the changes he made after returning to the farm, including why he felt diversifying the business's income streams was so important. We then talk about Small Robot company at length, including how it initially came about, how the robots (Tom, Dick, Harry, and Wilma) work, what they're trying to achieve with it, and how robotics are going to change agriculture sooner than we all think. How has the meaning of home changed in today’s mobile society? What constitutes home for those who have had to forcedly abandon or voluntarily leave their houses? Dr Sarah Goode spent six years talking to, and writing about, self-defined paedophiles - grown men sexually attracted to children. She believes, if our society were more accepting of this ‘involuntary’ sexual predilection, then more children might be protected from abuse - if the men concerned were prevented from acting out their fantasies. In this compelling interview with Olly, Dr Goode outlines her contentious view and why she believes hysteria around predatory paedophilia ironically fails to protect Britain’s children. She also explains why she believes the internet can be a force for good in combatting child abuse - despite the presence of online grooming, and the wide availability of child sexual abuse imagery. Sarah has written two academic books based on her research, 'Understanding and Addressing Adult Sexual Attraction to Children: A Study of Paedophiles in Contemporary Society' and 'Paedophiles in Society: Reflecting on Sexuality, Abuse and Hope'. Both are available to buy via Amazon. If you think you are sexually attracted to children, please seek professional advice. The organisation referred to in the interview is StopSO, the Specialist Treatment Organisation for the Prevention of Sexual Offending: www.stopso.org.uk If you've been affected by child sexual abuse, remember there are always people you can talk to. In the UK, the Samaritans can be contacted on 116 123. In the US, the National Suicide Prevention Hotline is 1-800-273-8255. In Australia, the crisis support service Lifeline is on 13 11 14. Dealing with People You Can't Stand - by Dr Rick Brinkman 'How to Bring Out the Best in People at Their Worst' This is a phenomenal book. Top 10 in our eyes. EVERYONE has someone in their life that they can't stand (and there's plenty of people that can't stand you either). The two Dr Ricks provide some great tactics for dealing with all different personality types. The 'Lens of Understanding' itself is worth the money and time invested into reading this book. It combines two spectrums (task/people focus and passive/aggressive assertiveness levels), three zones (cooperation, caution and danger zones), four behaviours (get it done, get it right, get along, get appreciated), four intents (control, perfection, approval, attention), and thirteen different personality types (tanks, snipers, grenades, know-it-alls, think-they-know-it-alls, yes people, maybe people, nothing people, no people, whiners, judges, meddlers and martyrs), all in one simple diagram! Absolutely amazing. Grab a copy of the book from: https://www.bookdepository.com/Dealing-with-People-You-Cant-Stand-How-Bring-Out-the-Best-in-People-at-Their-Worst-Rick-Brinkman-Rick-Kirschner-Dr/9780071785723/?a_aid=adamsbooks Enjoying the show? Four Questions for Dr. Sara Dorman: Mugabe's ZANU-PF lost the 2008 election. So why does he still retain power? Why have opposition politics and civil society been unable to push back? What - if anything - can outsiders do to support 'good governance'? What does Zimbabwe's experience of power-sharing tell us about supporting 'good governance' more broadly?
Kathryn interviews The Finish Line COO Melissa Greenwell, author of “Money on the Table: How to Increase Profits Through Gender-Balanced Leadership”. There is no question that women are under-represented at the top of the corporate world. Greenwell's advice and expertise on gender in the workplace is featured in Harvard Business Review, FORTUNE, CNN Money and Forbes. Kathryn also interviews social psychologist Alexandra Stein PhD, author of “Terror, Love & Brainwashing: Attachment in Cults and Totalitarian Systems”. What are the dangers of extreme psychological control? Dr. Stein draws on her 25 years of research to explain how almost anyone can be radically manipulated to participate in dangerous and incomprehensible acts. A survivor of a political cult herself, Dr. Stein draws upon her own experience, as well as stories from a range of religious, political and commercial cults, in order to portray the psychological impact of these environments.
Is money really the root of all evil? Can it make or break you? Our attitudes and habitual ways of thinking and understanding money can make the difference in our financial success or failure. Either way it can be epic. Fortunately, our attitudes are subject to change. When we know better, we do better. Special guest Leslie Carr, Financial Strategist, New World Economists.

This week we will continue the third lesson, "The Finer Forces of Mind and Body Identified as the Garden of Eden: Elemental Substance and Life" of the Charles Fillmore class series titled "The Fourth Dimension and Its Uses by Man." In this talk, Fillmore states that "the central idea for this lesson is 'Understanding-wisdom-discrimination-judgment.'" Here is one key idea: "This universal Substance is pictured in the Mind of God, as Jehovah, because Jehovah God is the second presentation of the creative Mind which it breathed into the dust of the ground and man came forth. There you see the process. You have Mind and Its idea and then that is made manifest."
This week we completed reviewing the second lesson in the 13-lesson series titled, "The Fourth Dimension and Its Uses by Man." This second lesson is titled, "How Man, by Super-Mind Thinking, Can Control and Use the Luminiferous Ether of Space." From this lesson, we learned "the thought of man is the directive power not only of his mind, but of all the universe all about him. … we are the avenues through which this essence [God] is made manifest." Through glimpses of the luminiferous ethers in our minds, we can express it in any function of the organism in strength. We then just started reviewing the third lesson, "The Finer Forces of Mind and Body Identified as the Garden of Eden: Elemental Substance and Life," delivered on Tuesday, October 4, 1932. Charles Fillmore shares, "In this course of lessons, we are seeking to explain man's fundamental spiritual being and his relation to the manifest world; especially that manifestation that takes place in his immediate neighborhood, which is his own mind and body." Further, Fillmore states that "the central idea for this lesson is 'Understanding-wisdom-discrimination-judgment.'"
Early November 2008 Phyllis Bennis gave a lecture in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, about the future of the USA and the world under president Barack Obama and about her new book titled: 'Understanding the US-Iran crisis'. The Bush administration spent years threatening Iran – for its alleged nuclear ambitions, support for terrorism, and ambitions in the middle East – and war has often seemed only a step away. How did relations between the US and Iran come to be in this state? Are these dire claims even true? Is Iran in fact a serious threat? This primer provides an essential history and analysis of US-Iranian relations. Bennis's illuminating discussion responds to calls for aggression toward Iran with alternative strategies for defusing the crisis. This book is invaluable for anyone trying to prevent a new war in the Middle East. Phyllis Bennis is a fellow of the institute for Policy Studies in Washington, DC and of the Transnational Institute in Amsterdam.
