Luke Gilford's debut feature NATIONAL ANTHEM sees Charlie Plummer (LEAN ON PETE, ALL THE MONEY IN THE WORLD) as Dylan, a 21-year-old ranch hand who starts his journey of self-discovery through the age-old catalyst of meeting a girl. In this case, the girl is Sky (Eve Lindley), a rodeo performer who's part of a wider community of queer rodeo lovers who've crafted their own family and live off of the land, no corporations necessary. Dylan not only begins to fall for Sky but also takes his first steps into the drag world, discovering the importance and freedom that comes with finding one's own people. --- Follow "The Movies" on Twitter: @TheMovies_Pod Credit Music: "It Is What It Is" - Kacey Musgraves

Stories are central to the human experience; we love to tell them and love to listen to them, and we tend to walk away from them having been changed in some way. Jesus was a master storyteller: He had a way of telling stories (the Bible calls them parables) that forced His audience to ask profound and relevant questions about their lives. Listen as Pastor Clint explores Jesus' parable of the rich fool, and how Jesus is calling us to move from a life of scarcity to a life of abundance. Sermon Resources: 1. Canada has been the home of several great actors but one of the true legends was Christopher Plummer. We pay tribute to the icon on the latest episode of The Movie Breakdown with reviews for four of his movies. His most well-known picture is probably the smash-hit musical filled with some of the most memorable songs in The Sound of Music. He also has a major supporting role in the Terry Gilliam directed trippy sci-fi thriller, 12 Monkeys. We also discuss two movies where he landed Oscar nominations in the Ridley Scott directed based on true events All the Money in the World and the picture about the last year in the life of Leo Tolstoy in The Last Station. Plummer had a long and successful career, and we are only giving you a small snapshot. It was great being able to celebrate a movie legend and we had a blast talking about his movies. We really hope you love listening to it, and if you do, please help us out by spreading the word about us on social media. Reminder that you can subscribe either to The Movie Breakdown feed (a subscription link is at the top right hand of this site), or subscribe on sites like Spotify, Stitcher, Google Podcasts, CastBox, Amazon Music and Apple Podcast. The Movies' Four-Star RatingThe Sound of Music **** (CS) & ***½ (SM)12 Monkeys ***½ (CS & SM) All the Money in the World *** (CS & SM) The Last Station *** (CS & SM)

The previous year he was nominated for Golden Globe Award – Best Original Score for Danny Boyle’s Steve Jobs, starring Michael Fassbender and Kate Winslet.Drawing on a richly diverse set of influences, from English folk to hip-hop; nordic metal to musique concrete; Daniel’s score to Guy Ritchie’s King Arthur: Legend Of The Sword is a showcase of a composer unafraid to take risks and revel in pushing the boundaries of modern film scoring. His previous collaboration with Ritchie on The Man from U.N.C.L.E. was widely critically lauded for its bold writing and innovative arrangements earning him – alongside the features Steve Jobs and the Cannes Palm D’Or nominee Mal De Pierres – a nomination for Film Composer of the Year at the 2016 World Soundtrack Awards. Pemberton's most recent score is for the feature film SPIDER-MAN: INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE.Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the creative minds behind The Lego Movie and 21 Jump Street, bring their unique talents to a fresh vision of a different Spider-Man Universe, with a groundbreaking visual style. Spider-Man™: Into the Spider-Verse introduces Brooklyn teen Miles Morales, and the limitless possibilities of the Spider-Verse, where more than one can wear the mask. The film features the voices of Shameik Moore, Jake Johnson, Hailee Steinfeld, Mahershala Ali, Brian Tyree Henry, Lily Tomlin, Luna Lauren Velez, Zoë Kravitz, John Mulaney, Kimiko Glenn with Nicolas Cage, Kathryn Hahn and Liev Schreiber. In this episode, Daniel Pemberton unties his musical web of themes; instruments and "Technics" he used for Into the Spider-Verse. He dives deep into his unique utilization of the hip-hop staple of record-scratching, where HE employs Londoner DJ Blakey and his multifaceted scratching abilities in a multi-layered recording process that may also be a first. He also talks about writing this score both in London but also, due to the ongoing collaborative nature of the project, in Los Angeles. There, he found himself in a small bit of space in the Sony Animation studio, from where he would complete the score as the production period of the film wound to a close.ANNOTATED TRACKS AND SEGMENTS02:04 - "Into the Spider-verse"05:08 - "Only One Spider-Man"10:01 - "Visions Brooklyn"12:00 - "Catch the S Train"14:25 - "Aunt May and Spider Shed"18:33 - "Spider-Man Loves You"SOUNDTRACKThe original score was released by Sony Music on 12/17/18 both digitally and on CD. Gears and Beers: The Unashamedly Unprofessional Automotive Podcast

We're back for episode 73! This week starts off the rails immediately, with our return special guest Ben asking us what our favourite car-themed movies are, which insights some lively discussion about car movies. After 11 minutes, we finally move onto some news. We start off with a bit of news about Volkswagen's passenger vehicles no longer having manuals, including their performance range. We then talk about HSV's second go at the Colorado; the HSV Sportscat R. The Sportscat R features some red decals, pumped guards and hood, but no performance improvements. Then we talk about the Ford Ranger Raptor's television commercial being pulled from television due to it depicting super-fast acceleration inside a shed. We then talk about Jeep's Gladiator ute, a car that Mitch and Ben think is ugly, but Matt and Joseph like... Then we ask whether 1 chicken wing is equal to 3 (4) chips. Mitch then brings up how Mitsubishi has no immediate plans for a new Pajero to replace the current 20+-year-old model (with facelifts). Then we talk about Toyota Australia bucking the trend from Toyota Japan/Global in not wanting a full range of plug-in hybrid's as most Australian consumers aren't interested in them. We then talk about the update to the Mitsubishi Triton, which is rumoured to become the basis for the future of the Renault-Mitsubishi-Nissan Alliance ute platform, which would presumably include the Mercedes ute, too. And while Mitch, Joseph, and special guest Ben look for the best V8 cars; 4 cars each, for 4 separate categories: Track Car, Drag Car, Best Value, and All The Money In The World. We are back for episode 72, and we kick off living up to our 'Unashamedly Unprofessional' motto before actually talking about anything worthwhile. This week we talk about carbon fibre conrods unveiled at SEMA 2018, then we talk a bit about SEMA in general and some of our favourite builds from the show. We then talk about class restrictions for some local racing series that Joseph competes in, we then talk a bit more about Joseph's racing. Then Mitch triggers Matt with a bit of a hot take about turbos, and not-so-gracefully transition to Subaru's (and Toyota's) recall on MY12 to MY13 vehicles fitted with the FA20 engine. Subaru says that the valve springs may fail and cause complete engine failure. We then talk about Chevrolet making a 1-off electric Camaro drag car, and segway onto talking about the differences between the used car markets in Australia and America. Joseph then brings up Toyota Japan wanting to introduce a subscription model where people can drive whatever Toyota they want depending on their needs at the time. No word on when that's actually happening, or if it'll ever happen in Australia. We then play the six-cylinder edition of the new game we've been playing the last few episodes. Joseph and Mitch are tasked with finding 4 cars each, for 4 separate categories: Track Car, Drag Car, Daily-Driver, and All The Money In The World. While Joseph and Mitch find their cars, Matt and Joel talk about Motorcycle Minute, the carbon fibre conrods we mentioned earlier, and the recent work Joel has put into his Z32. Then, we had to cut the end, because even for us, what was said, should not be heard by anyone.... :P Find us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and everywhere else by Googling Gears and Beers Media! www.gearsandbeersmedia.com

Director Ridley Scott (Alien, The Martian) pulls off an incredible feat of filmmaking by replacing Academy Award winner and now-notorious-creep Kevin Spacey (The Usual Suspects, American Beauty) with Academy Award winner Christopher Plummer (The Sound of Music, Beginners) in All The Money In The World. Continued outrage dogged the movie when it was revealed that Academy Award nominee Mark Wahlberg (The Departed) made more than 1,000 times as much money for the required reshoots than Academy Award nominee Michelle Williams (Manchester by the Sea). A movie filled with intrigue and money troubles embroiled in intrigue in money problems - how meta.

With her son’s life in the balance, Gail and Getty’s advisor (Mark Wahlberg) become unlikely allies in the race against time that ultimately reveals the true and lasting value of love over money. Daniel and Tyler made sure to weigh in. Alexander Payne is the authority on films about white men going through a midlife crisis, and Downsizing sits squarely in his wheelhouse. Matt Damon shrinks himself down to outrun his problems. Is tiny Damon better than regular-size Damon? We’re not so sure. We’ll have plenty more reviews coming your way in the days to come, so keep an eye out for those soon! Special Guest: Tyler Howat.

Academy Award-nominated director Ridley Scott (Blade Runner, Black Hawk Down, The Martian) joins me on the podcast to discuss how he saved his movie ALL THE MONEY IN THE WORLD from the Kevin Spacey scandal by making the unprecedented decision to recast the role with the legendary Christopher Plummer and reshoot much of the film just 6 weeks before it hits theaters.  He talks about the late billionaire J. Paul Getty, why the richest man in the world refused to pay his own grandsons’ ransom, and what the oil magnate’s heirs have had to say about the film.  Then actor Charlie Plummer (Boardwalk Empire, The Dinner), who plays Getty's kidnapped grandson talks about the unimaginable wealth and privilege that came with being a Getty and what it was like to re-enact the gruesome moment when the real-life John Paul Getty III got his ear chopped off. ALL THE MONEY IN THE WORLD opens in theatres on Christmas day 12/25.  To find out more visit www.allthemoney-movie.com.  Today's episode is sponsored by Grasshopper.  Please subscribe to Kickass News on Apple Podcasts and take our listener survey at www.podcastlistener.com/KICK.

Just my thoughts, love the show.   Have any geeky thoughts on this news that we might not have addressed on the podcast? Daniel talks about finding his interests in creating sounds and music, and how that led to him pursue a career as a composer. Daniel shares a story of how he met John Powell by coincidence when his girlfriend was doing a photoshoot with John's wife, Melinda. The two chatted on a bridge at 2am and Daniel learned a lot from John that evening. We go on to discuss many of Daniel's projects such as his scores for directors like Ridley Scott and Guy Ritchie. Also why Daniel decided to remain in the U.K. and not relocate to Los Angeles. This interview was also conducted on the day it was announced that Christopher Plummer would be replacing Kevin Spacey in All The Money In The World, and Daniel gives his thoughts on Ridley's bold skills as a filmmaker. From composing on a small game called The Movies to honing his inner Ennio Morricone to find the right sounds for Guy Ritchie, we cover lots of great stuff in this fantastic chat.Interview Produced & Presented By:Kaya SavasSpecial Thanks: Daniel, for taking an Uber deep into Burbank to make this interview happen even though you were only here on business for a quick trip! Charlie, Jess, Daniel and Jake discuss the week's films, discus why we still haven't seen a queer superhero character, ask what actors should be erased from films à la Kevin Spacey, and speak to a former spy to sort out the on-screen fact from fiction.Reviews▸ Justice League▸ Lucky▸ The Killing Of A Sacred Deer▸ Blade Of The ImmortalTrailers▸ The Post▸ The Leisure Seeker▸ Game NightNews▸ Amidst the praise being directed at ‘Thor: Ragnarok’, actor Tessa Thompson revealed that she played her character Valkyrie as bisexual. Marvel then confirmed that a scene that makes this more obvious was actually cut from the film. Marvel seemed to think it deserved kudos for including a queer superhero character - but does it? Does revealing this character information after the fact earn them the points for representation, or is this piecemeal offering actually more insulting when you can’t even see this in the final film, especially when Disney have already been woefully guilty of this in the past twelve months?▸ The hits just keep on coming in the wake of the Hollywood sexual assault scandal. Oscar winner Kevin Spacey is the latest to crumble beneath the avalanche of accusations, with Netflix not only cutting ties with the actor, but also cancelling the highly popular series ‘House Of Cards’. Further to this, just five weeks out from release, Ridley Scott has made the extreme decision to replace Spacey from his latest film ‘All The Money In The World’ with fellow Oscar winner Christopher Plummer. This last-minute scramble is a huge gamble for the film as is enters awards season, which makes us reflect on other pictures that have made such dramatic 11th hour changes, and ask if you could erase any actor from a film, what would it be?InterviewTo celebrate the release of 'Atomic Blonde' on home entertainment, Jess was invited to attend Atomic Spy School. All The Money In The World [121] appeared first on Low Battery.

Hello again, welcome to our 10th episode of Beer N Biceps - coming to you a little later than usual due to our incredibly busy schedules (I was tidying the flat so had to reschedule from Monday to Thursday, exciting!). In this episode we talk about the Great British Beer Festival that we attended on the 11th August, we also talk about a grapefruit infused beer called Elvis Juice from Brewdog - a Scottish Brewery that really helped put British Craft Beer on the map. We also discussed some frequently asked questions that I have encountered as a personal trainer - and answer them ... obviously. The Great British Beer Festival 2017 Great British Beer Festival 2017 I have a long history with this beer festival, it was the first one that I attended. I went with my dad and his friend, I mainly remember drinking beer from Badger Brewery (or Hall & Woodhouse as they are apparently named), eating a pork pie, and going for a Chinese meal afterwards. Okay so maybe I have boring memories, but they're still good ones. I went back on several occasions and have always enjoyed myself. Beer N Biceps Members (4 hours in) This year was no exception, Todd and I managed to bring quite a large group from our Beer N Biceps page (plus my dad) and we all had an amazing time. We'll definitely be looking to bring even more people next year! There were some really good beers on offer, Tiny Rebel Brewery's Stay Puft Marshmallow Porter was probably the best we tried but other excellent beers include Bunny Hop Pale Ale by Purity brewery, Pale Rider by Hooded Ram Brewing Company, Reverend James by Brains Brewery, Misty Law from the Kelburn Brewing Company and Moonshine from Abbeydale Brewery . Bunny Hop by Purity Brewery Frequently Asked Questions As I mentioned before, being a personal trainer for 7 years has led to me being asked a LOT of questions, most of them concern the same subject (how fast can I lose weight doing the minimum amount of work). I can't judge these questions, in a lot of ways my job is to find out the answer, and if I did I would make approximately ALL THE MONEY IN THE WORLD. But I thought that answering some of the more common questions would be a great use of this podcast, so here are five frequently asked questions that concern fitness and nutrition. What is the best exercise for losing weight from my (insert body part here)? Whether it is a young lady asking how she can lose her bingo wings, to a 20 year old guy who wants to lose fat from his upper thighs, a lot of people have asked me about losing fat from specific parts of their body. Sadly this is not possible. You have no real control about where your body loses fat, but if you are looking to get lean and healthy you will eventually lose excess fat from all over your body (including the area that is causing you grief). Which means that you will eventually hit your goal, no matter what specific exercises you follow (provided you are in a calorie deficit). This is actually a GOOD THING, because it means that instead of spending time on body specific training, you can use exercises that burn the most calories: Deadlifts, squats, lunges, presses, bent over rows, pull ups, even burpees for crying out loud! What is the Best Diet? As I explain in the podcast, this question is usually a bit longer, it goes along the lines of "What is the best diet if I want to lose 3 stone before my holiday in 2 weeks?". Truth is that most diets are poor when it comes to long term results. If you really only care about getting in shape for your holiday - and don't care about anything else then the answer is simple. Cut calories drastically, exercise a lot, sleep lots, and keep protein as high as possible.  Long term, the best diet is the one that works for you! Everyone is different, and as such no diet will work the same for two people. But there are some things that all good diets should include: Lots of protein Lots of fruit and vegetables Lots of fibre
