Sen lättar Krick upp Ponkans sinne genom att försätta honom i påhittade filmscener, t ex ”It's 1986 and you've just handed in your badge and gun after things went bad”.

#425 Talking Turkey, Lunaz, Morgan & Corvette. Did Mercedes make the right decision for Lewis in Turkey? James Bond's No Time To Die cars, the all-electric DB6 that's not an Aston. Alex drives a truly nutty Morgan CX-T and the new mid-engined Corvette.

This week Jonny and Richard sit in a field drinking wine and talking about things they've seen at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. So naturally the conversation covers Brut aftershave, buying wine at 9am, Sweden's top TV chef, sporting event streakers, aerobatic display team The Reawarrs, Gordon Murray's hydration strategy, Michael Bolton on a bicycle, talking like a pilot day, the perils of magnet fishing, a French Garfield phone mystery, pretending to be a dangerously unqualified handyman, Bridget Jones's welding, watching the International Space Station go overhead, what all Prince songs are about, Jim Glickenhaus's surprising trousers, and the Duke of Richmond weeing in a sink. Despite this there's also some car talk covering an overheating Jag, the Ferrari Roma's base model grille, a shirtcocking Jeep, the beauty of an early Countach, plus the Maserati MC20, the McLaren Artura, the Lotus Emira, the Kimera EVO37, the Aston Valkyrie, the Corvette C8, the Glickenhaus SCG004 and some Hispano-Suizas. There's always a lot happening in the auto industry. But it's been a particularly wild ride lately. Tiger Woods crashed a new 2021 Genesis GV70. I test drove a 2022 Rolls-Royce Ghost for four days. And a new coffee table-sized book on the new mid-engine Corvette C8 has been published. Co-hosts Bruce Aldrich and James Raia discuss the three topics and more on this episode of The Weekly Driver Podcast. Woods sustained multiple leg injuries early February 23 when he was involved in a single-car accident in Los Angeles County. The accident continued the golf icon's years of misfortune while driving. After removing Woods from his vehicle with the “jaws of life,” the golfer was taken by ambulance to Harbor UCLA Medical Center. It was Woods' third car accident since 2009. Woods, 45, an 82-time PGA Tour winner, was in the Southern California area for his annual Genesis Invitational golf tournament at the Riviera Country Club in the Pacific Palisades. A lot still remains unknown about the accident and Woods' future. Bruce and I give our opinions, which mostly streamline to: "Hey Tiger. Live Longer. Hire A Driver." Tiger Woods suffered multiple leg injuries Feb. 23 in a single-car accident in Southern California. It was Woods' third car accident since 2007. Woods recently had another in his long series of back surgeries and he recently said his recovery could recent back surgery could keep him out of the upcoming Masters tournament in Augusta, Georgia. The 2021 Rolls-Royce Ghost attracted as much attention as any vehicle I've reviewed in 16 years as an automotive journalist The entry-level Ghost and siblings Cullinan, Dawn, Phantom and Wraith attract attention like no other carmaker's offerings. Global sales of 5,125 in 2020 continued the brand's reputation. It's a name everyone knows, a car few see. The Cullinan, the company's first SUV, debuted in 2018. It catapulted sales to record levels. The Ghost is described as the carmaker's “purest expression.” Podcast No. 172: Tiger Woods, Rolls-Royce, Corvette CB Book Who's to argue? Newness abounds this year in the long-anticipated five-passenger sedan's second generation. The so-called entry-level Rolls Royce was the brand's top-seller for the previous decade. The new Ghost features a 6.75-liter, twin-turbo, 48-valve V12. It produces 563 horsepower and advances from zero to 60 miles per hour, via its eight-speed automatic transmission, in 4.6 seconds. The top speed is 155 miles per hour. The drive is powerful, smooth, quiet and carried on 21-inch, 10-spoke wheels. And while the wheels spin, the RR center emblems remain upright. It's all impressive for a vehicle that weighs 5,540 pounds and extends slightly more than 18 feet. And speaking of beauty, consider the new Corvette. The debuts of the 2020 C8 and its 2021 sibling, both delayed in production by the coronavirus pandemic, feature what Chevy considered for decades — a mid-engine. With diminishing sales for several years, the eighth generation is unlike any previous Corvette. Its engineers, like other renowned American artists, were influenced by European supercar masters from Ferrari, Lamborghini and McLaren. Some purists were aghast, others welcomed the change. With a starting price of less than $60,000 and stunning specs — a 6.2-liter V8, top-speed of 194 miles per hour and 0-60 mph in less than three seconds — the new Corvette has global sales aspirations. Chevy hopes its sports car flagship's reputation, cultivating since 1953, accelerates across continents and into competitors' domains. The new Corvette also disrupts previous signature traits. An eight-speed, double-clutch transmission replaces a stick shift. Please join us for another episode as we examine the ever-changi...
The 2021 Chevrolet Bolt EV delivers an EPA-estimated 259 miles of range on a full charge. And that's comparable to a gas-fueled vehicle with a full tank. So, consider that. Plus new insanely competitive pricing on the compact electric wagon. And it's easy to understand how sales are taking off. 2021 Chevy Bolt EV Top-3: Range Drive Interior Plus Chevy's just getting started with more electric product offerings on the way soon. I recently picked up a nicely equipped base-model from my friends at Martin Chevrolet for this review. -->Continue reading or click play below to listen.

Amped up from two back-to-back successful Florida auctions, hosts Matt Avery and John Kraman dive right into this On the Move, spotlighting the top sellers from both Mecum’s Kissimmee event as well as the no reserve sale of Rick Treworgy’s Muscle Car City. Some of the ultra-historically significant hardware discussed include Carroll Shelby’s personal 1965 427 Cobra roadster, which sold for $5.94 million. The guys chat about what this momentous occasion indicates for the rest of the year in terms of car collecting, as well as some of the other more modern Corvette machines that crossed the block. Matt weighs in on the sale of a 1969 COPO Camaro that brought top money, using his expertise to explain some of the reasoning for that high figure, including the fact that it was sold new at the iconic Berger Chevrolet in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Wrapping up the segment, the guys give their final Florida thoughts, with John expecting to see even more Resto Mods at future events while Matt regals the happy coincidence of seeing a trio of special 1965 Z16 Chevelles while in the Sunshine State. In the second segment, Matt and John are on the move and on the road once again, this time on-site at Mark Pieloch’s American Muscle Car Museum in Melbourne, Florida. Joining them for a special conversation is Ed Dedick, operations and restoration manager at the world-class facility, which spans 42 acres and houses 347 vehicles and two motorcycles. Ed pulls back the proverbial curtain, giving an inside look at details like how the collection came together, sharing some of the highlights of the collection including it boasting one of the largest gatherings of Yenko Camaros as well as Porsche tractors, and discussing the care that goes into maintaining such a vast assortment of rolling treasures. He also shares some of the many charitable and community events held at the museum throughout the year and a taste of what’s in store for 2021. In the final segment, Matt has a slew of questions for John, all relating to his recent purchase of one of the hottest vehicles currently on the market: a 2020 Corvette C8. While John shared snippets of the process before, now he’s diving deep, explaining everything from how he first heard of the all-new generation vehicle to attending the media unveil, the delivery and the very exciting first few miles with the all-new high performer.
Test driving the 2021 Chevy Camaro convertible for this review reminded me that my job ain't that bad. :0) And, it highlighted that I no longer live in the Midwest! Because it was on an afternoon in December. Cruising along the Pacific Ocean. With the top down. In Southern California. So if you happen to be reading this from anywhere but SoCal, then I'm sorry you're missing our mostly perfect-year-round weather. And a quick shoutout of thanks to my pals at Martin Chevy in Torrance, California. Because while they hook me up with lots of test drivers - this one was a special treat for sure! -->Continue reading below or click play to listen.

In this On the Move hosts Matt Avery and John Kraman launch right into their latest columns in the latest edition of the Mecum Magazine. In his ‘At the Redine’, John is zipping through some Z-car history, focusing on the Datsun 240Z, 260Z and 280Z. Meanwhile, Matt shifts to share how in his ‘Free Revs’ he wrote about the 2021 Ram Power Wagon 75th Anniversary Edition. The off-road-focused truck will receive special badging as well as other equipment like unique 17-inch painted cast-aluminum beadlock-capable wheels with 33-inch tires. Then its on to talk of the Dodge’s dazzling Gold Rush paint color being rolled out to other 2021 Challengers in addition to the 50th Anniversary Edition. Transitioning back to trucks, the guys talk about the 2021 Ford F150 Tremor, an off-road package that’s not quite up to the Raptor capabilities but still provides enthusiasts a robust rig for backwoods adventures. Then with Christmas around the corner, John shares a gift suggestion for motoring enthusiasts – Matt’s COPO book. Matt discusses why those ultra-rare Chevrolet muscle cars processed through the brand’s Central Office continue to command serious attention and dollars. Wrapping up, a giddy John gives the latest on a very special present he’ll be expecting at the end of the month – his long-awaited 2020 Corvette C8. In Segment 2, the guys connect with Rachel De Barros, automotive content creator and TV personality. The do-it yourselfer gets the guys up to speed with her background, including memories of her first car, a late 1980s Oldsmobile Firenza and how during her time in college she hung up pink fliers around the campus advertising her car repair services for fellow students. Then then goes into her time as one of the hosts for the hit TV show, ‘All Girls Garage’ and how since she’s left she’s now launched her own online stream of repair content. In Segment 3, Matt and John pause before the close of 2020 for a special ‘Mecum Year In Review’. They look back through the past twelve months and go into the highlights of Mecum’s string of successful live and safe events kicking off with memories of the iconic 1968 Ford Mustang GT known as ‘Bullitt’ crossing the Kissimmee 2020 block and hammering for a staggering $3.74 million.

Sergio y Beto platican del nuevo Corvette C8. ¿Está tan bueno como para matar a Porsche? No se ponen de acuerdo si sí o si no. Pero de que está buen está bueno y de que Beto envidia a Sergio por manejarlo lo envidia.

It was Nissans turn, the 370z is 10 years old and it was time for a change, a big change! In 2019 we saw two big names release some game changers, with the all new A90 Toyota Supra, and Chevy had a go with the new Corvette C8. All seeming like old news at this point, and now it's Nissans turn to wow us all. Let's start off by talking about the elephant in the room, or should I say front bumper in the room? Every car or automotive sketch artist I can think of on youTube seems to have a better idea of what the front bumper should look like. Is it missing something? More details? Are they making the same mistake as BMW with an out of this world front bumper? However Nissan does claim the car is not 100% completed, so the photos and videos all over the internet are not a completed product. In the interview during the release they did state “ its very close”. So we can expect the car to be very close to what we will see in a final product.According to many online sources, the powertrain will be very close, if not identical to the Infiniti's Q60 Coupe engine. Nissan confirmed the Proto Z will feature a twin-turbo V6, which we expect to be the same unit from the Q60. Now here is where it gets interesting...Will the “400Z” name and some claims online state the goal of 400HP? That platform is already developed with the Q50 Red Sport, but if we plunk that into a much lighter vehicle...crazy track monster? I think so!! So, are we going to see a Nismo version, with the carbon accents, bigger brakes and a 400HP drivetrain? And then a base, or limited model with the 300HP twin turbo like the Q60 base? Another points to mention would be the suspension, we at Paradigm are all about suspension tuning, so this interests me the most. Nissan states they will have a completely updated version of the 370Z chassis and suspension design. Its expected to have options or certain models with adjustable suspension, upgraded steering, most likely electric, and a limited-slip diff in the rear! Thats awesome, and I cant wait to drive one!Now lets get to the best part.. the part we as car enthusiasts have all been waiting for, the mistake they made with the New Supra.... The Nissan 400Z comes stock with a MANUAL TRANSMISSION!! Thats right! This is something that too many manufacturers have been getting away from. But why? There is nothing like cruising down a long curvy road, making every decision possible. Braking, down shifting, hugging the corners and reacting with every feeling the road gives you. Shifting with a manual transmission is such a pure driving experience. Not to mention drifting, auto cross or other motorsport potential this car will offer right out of the box! I think this car is a bit of a game changer, even though we have still not seen a 100% finished product. We also have to talk about one final thing before we go. It's an important thing that we do not want to leave out. THE PRICE TAG?? What is Nissan going to do here? It's been said to release with an MSRP of $42,000 US, but that has not yet been confirmed. We have no idea what to expect, and I think this will play a major role in how this does in the car scene and or car market today. If they price this too high, then they will compete with way too many cars, if they price it just right, 45k mark or less? I think there may be a lot of 370Z's for sale

Kicking this On the Move off, hosts Matt Avery and John Kraman have some hot picks from the upcoming Mecum Indy Fall Special. Matt is digging a 1956 Chevrolet 210 hardtop restomod that features tons of modern upgrades like a JW Rod Garage chassis, a 5.7L LS1 engine and big wheels, tires and brakes. John’s selection is a 2020 Ford Shelby GT500 showing just three delivery miles. It’s number 1,997 of the 5,000 produced for the 2020 model year and more than ready for track use. Keeping the performance theme rolling, Matt has the latest from Hennessey. The Texas tuner announced they’ll be offering a supercharged upgrade to the 2021 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat. The stock horsepower of 710 gets bumped to 1,012. The company claims the SUV will have a zero to 60mph time of just 2.8 seconds while the quarter mile will click off in 10.8 seconds at 126mph. Just 50 will be built and will come with a 1 year/12,000 mile warranty. Another SUV boasting upwards of 1,000 horsepower is the forthcoming GMC HUMMER EV. Matt and John are eager for the reveal, happening October 20th and discuss their best guess of what’s in store for the all-electric supertruck. Wrapping up car news, John has a bit of unpleasant news for Corvette C8 owners in that production has been paused yet again. Joining Matt and John in Segment 2 is Jack Roush, Jr., of ROUSH Performance, a long-standing powerhouse of providing performance solutions. Jack gives the latest on the company, including the growing interest in trucks like the F-150 and Ranger. He also details the most power Mustang yet, the 2020 Jack Roush Edition. It delivers 775 horsepower and 670 lb-ft of torque and boasts a claimed zero to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds. Jack talks about some of the special cars in his personal collection and even teases some future plans for the company including performance variants of the Mustang Mach-E and Bronco. In Segment 3, Chip Miller, of Wagonmasters, is on the line. Wagonmasters, based in Kerrville, Texas specializes in providing parts and restoration services to Jeep Wagoneers and Grand Wagoneers. Chip talks about how the business has grown including his early memories of the family riding around the farm in Jeep products. He also talks about his recent experience with the Grand Wagoneer Concept and gives his thoughts on the rebirth of the American icon.
