The left is getting children and even kindergartners to join nationwide "walkouts" to protest ICE. Meanwhile, at the Grammys, stars denounce America as a nation of "stolen land," and the mayor of Boston says the entire planet has the right to move to America. Everything about this works in concert: It's a bid to use highly emotional images and rhetoric to delegitimize America. The show team unpacks the agenda, then talks to Rich Baris about an unfortunate special election down in Texas.Support the show: http://www.charliekirk.com/supportSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
WarRoom Battleground EP 939: Shaking Up Texas
Episode 5111: Left Feels Empowered After Emmys Victory; Massive Shake Up In Texas
Joan Bernal's episodes originally aired in October 2020. In December of 1988, Joan Bernal, her husband, and their children had plans to leave their home in Joliet, Illinois, and head to Texas to visit her husband's family for the holidays. Things didn't go as planned, and they weren't able to bring Joan's children from a previous marriage due to custody issues. According to Joan's husband, Gil, they decided to make the trip anyway. He later told investigators that Joan became upset during the drive and that he dropped her off near a bus stop in McAlester, Oklahoma, and gave her cash so she could return to Illinois. The plan, he said, was for Joan to pick up her other children and then fly to Texas to meet them. Joan Bernal has never been seen or heard from again.Over the years, this case has been marked by conflicting accounts, unanswered questions, and lingering uncertainty about what truly happened to Joan. Investigators and Joan's loved ones have wrestled with whether she could still be alive, whether foul play was involved, and why no verified trace of her has ever surfaced.Update:In December 2025, 37 years after Joan Bernal was last seen, the case took a significant turn. A Will County grand jury returned a sealed indictment charging Joan's husband, Gilbert Bernal, with first-degree murder in connection with her disappearance. Stay tuned through the end of Part 2 for more details on the recent developments in this case.If you have a missing loved one that you would like to have featured on the show, please fill out our case submission form.Follow The Vanished on social media at:FacebookInstagramPatreonSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
As the GOP hardens its position on Roe v. Wade we are beginning to see the future of what Alito's draconian decision holds. In Missouri, like in Texas, if you get an abortion in another state, you could still be arrested. In Mississippi, they want to charge mothers with murder for terminating a pregnancy. If it all sounds insane, it is. Walt Masterson joins Mea Culpa to discuss what he's seeing on the ground infiltrating MAGA Rallies.
Stu Burguiere dives into the very clear distinctions between what the Left and its pet mainstream media are saying about “journalist” Don Lemon's arrest and the realities of the case that pose very important questions regarding the freedom of religion in America. Then, film critic Christian Toto joins to help break down last night's AWFUL Grammy Awards. And Stu examines the results of a disastrous Texas special election from this weekend and determines what it might mean for the upcoming midterm elections. In this Monday Headline Brief of The Wright Report, Bryan explains why Washington is once again on the brink of a government shutdown, with Democrats demanding cuts to ICE funding and Republicans pushing a bill to block non-citizens from voting in federal elections. He then unpacks the escalating political and cultural backlash to immigration enforcement, from mayors openly defying federal law to judges issuing error-filled rulings against ICE. Bryan also covers the White House's decision to pull back federal enforcement from Democrat-run cities, new tensions inside the GOP after a surprise Texas election loss, and a landmark jury verdict that could dismantle the so-called gender-affirming care industry nationwide. The episode closes with explosive domestic and global fallout from the latest Jeffrey Epstein document release, raising new questions about elite corruption, intelligence ties, and why being reflexively anti-Trump offered powerful political cover for years. Hello, my friend! Thank you so much for joining me for another Encouraging Word. This week, we're concluding our study of Joshua and the Israelites' journey to the Promised Land. When I originally preached these messages at my church in San Antonio, Texas, we began each day with a Glory Days Declaration. I want to share it with you today and invite you to recite it with me—wherever you're listening. Glory Days Declaration These days are Glory Days. My past is past. My future is bright. God's promises are true, and His Word is sure. With God as my helper, I will be all He wants me to be, do all He wants me to do, and receive all He wants me to receive. These are Glory Days.
Today's Headlines: The federal government is currently shut down after Congress failed to pass a spending bill by Friday's deadline, though Speaker Mike Johnson claims the shutdown could end as soon as tomorrow. Even so, the funding lapse barely registered amid a flood of other major news. On Friday morning, journalists Don Lemon and Georgia Fort were arrested following their coverage of an anti-ICE protest at a Minneapolis church, despite both repeatedly stating they were there in a journalistic capacity — a development that raised serious press freedom concerns. Around the same time, federal records identified the two immigration agents involved in the fatal shooting of Alex Pretti in Minneapolis, adding more scrutiny to ICE and CBP operations. There was at least one rare piece of good news: 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos and his father were released from an immigration detention center in Texas and returned home to Minneapolis after a judge ordered their release. That decision stood in stark contrast to reports that ICE allowed a suspect in the $100 million Brinks jewelry heist to be deported while continuing to detain families with young children. Elsewhere, the DOJ released more than 3.5 million pages of heavily redacted Epstein files, signaling that no new indictments are expected. President Trump also sued the IRS for $10 billion over leaked tax returns, promoted new Trump-branded savings accounts for children, announced plans to shut down the Kennedy Center for two years, and capped off the week as Democrats scored a surprise victory in a deep-red Texas state Senate district. In this episode of Farm4Profit, we sit down with Lance Weaver, a Texas native, former ag banker, and now business coach with Legacy Farmer, to talk about what really happens behind the scenes in agricultural lending — and what farmers need to understand to protect their operations. After earning degrees in Ag Business and Ag Economics and spending over a decade in ag finance, Lance reached a breaking point. Despite good intentions, he realized the system wasn't built to serve farmers the way they thought it was.We dig into:The moment Lance said, “I can't do this anymore as a banker”Why loan officers don't always have your back in loan committee meetingsRed flags in both farm financials and bank relationshipsWhy balance sheets, cash flow, and production knowledge must alignThe danger of confusing bank renewals with actual profitabilityHow farmers can start thinking — and operating — like CEOs of multimillion-dollar businessesWhat Legacy Farmer does differently to help producers build clarity, structure, and long-term resilienceThis episode challenges farmers to take ownership of their numbers, their leadership role, and their future — because the bank will always protect its own interests, but your farm needs someone protecting yours. In this episode, we sit down with Dr. Ashley Farmer to discuss the life and legacy of Queen Mother Audley Moore—an organizer, theorist, and political visionary who helped shape the very foundations of modern Black nationalism and the contemporary reparations movement. Though she was, as our guest writes, "one of the most important activists and theorists of the twentieth century," Mother Moore's figure has been largely confined to a handful of photographs and passing references, even as her ideas reverberate across generations. Dr. Farmer discusses how if Rosa Parks is remembered as the mother of the Civil Rights Movement, then Queen Mother Moore should be understood as someone who midwifed the political traditions of Black radical nationalism. Farmer traces Moore's extraordinary life, which spanned nearly the entire twentieth century—from the aftermath of Reconstruction to the rise and fall of Jim and Jane Crow, all the way until the late 1990s. Like Du Bois, her longevity allowed her to inhabit multiple political worlds, sometimes in tension with one another. We discuss how her early experiences in Jim/Jane Crow Louisiana, witnessing lynch mobs and growing up in a family shaped by both slavery and free Black community life, forged her political consciousness. We also explore the radical sisterhood she shared with Eloise and Loretta, women who were themselves deeply involved in Black liberation struggles and who helped shape Moore's earliest political actions. The conversation moves westward as they examine Moore's migration to Los Angeles, where the promise of escape from Southern racial terror collided with the realities of redlining, discrimination, and the rise of the Ku Klux Klan in Southern California. We look at how these conditions transformed LA into a hotbed of Black nationalist organizing—and how this period pushed Moore toward Chicago and eventually Harlem, where her political life would take on new dimensions. A portion of the discussion centers on the state's surveillance of Moore. Targeted first by HUAC and later by the FBI's Counterintelligence Program (COINTELPRO), Moore amassed thousands of pages of government files—documents that reveal both the threat she posed to the racial order and the broader pattern of state repression directed at Black radical women. Dr. Farmer analyzed thousands of these files and discusses some of what she discovered in them. Dr. Ashley D. Farmer is a historian of black women's history, intellectual history, and radical politics. She is currently an Associate Professor in the Departments of History and African and African Diaspora Studies at the University of Texas at Austin. In addition to this book, she is the author of Remaking Black Power: How Black Women Transformed an Era. If you like what we do and want to support our ability to have more conversations like this.
