This Bible verse answers the question. Everything a person is as a believer begins and ends with Christ. The Bible says that Christ “has become for us wisdom from God.” That means you don’t have to figure out how to reach God. You don’t have to decode spiritual mysteries through your own intelligence or intuition. God’s wisdom has already come to you, wrapped in the person of Jesus. When you look at Christ crucified, you see God’s heart, God's plan, and God’s love laid bare. Christ is your righteousness. Think of that word the way a judge would. Righteousness means innocence, a perfect record, a spotless standing before the law. You don't earn it. You don’t polish it. You don’t maintain it by good performance. Through faith, Christ gives you his own record, his own obedience, his own perfection. In Christ, God looks at you and sees “not guilty.” He is your holiness, too. Holiness isn’t about how flawless you feel on your best days. It’s about being set apart by God as his treasured child. Because of Jesus, you are declared holy even when your heart feels cluttered with the same old sins. Your status in God's family rests on Christ, not on the strength of your spiritual progress. And Christ is your redemption. That word pictures a price paid, a slave set free, a prisoner released. Jesus didn’t just speak forgiveness over you; he purchased it with his own blood. He didn’t just open the door of your cell; he walked you out into the sunlight of a new life. So today, remember what defines you. Not your success or failure. Not your feelings or fears. Not your wisdom or weakness. Christ is your wisdom, your righteousness, your holiness, your redemption. In other words, you have everything you need in him. Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you for being everything I need. Teach me to rest in your righteousness, walk in your holiness, and trust in your redeeming love. Amen. “For they {Earthly Parents} disciplined us for a short time . . . but he {God} disciplines us for our good, that we may share his {God's} holiness" (Hebrews 12:10) MESSAGE SUMMARY: The Lord disciplines his children; therefore, so should we. Our discipline can take many forms, for example: 1) teach children a lesson, even hard lessons; and 2) it is OK to take away children's privileges. The Lord's discipline is out of love; and our discipline, for our children, should, also, be out of our love. Nobody likes discipline -- we do not like it; our kids do not like it. However, discipline works to bring righteousness and peace, and discipline brings fruit to us and our children down the road. In Hebrews 12:7-10, the author of Hebrews succinctly describes the Biblical perspective regarding discipline: It is for discipline that you have to endure. God is treating you as {His} sons. For what son is there whom his father does not discipline? If you are left without discipline, in which all have participated, then you are illegitimate children and not sons. Besides this, we have had earthly fathers who disciplined us, and we respected them. Shall we not much more be subject to the Father of spirits and live? How can God use a weak and broken life for His glory? What does it mean to truly follow Christ? In this episode, we reflect on the life of David Brainerd, a frail and often melancholy man who wholeheartedly obeyed Jesus' call: “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men” (Matthew 4:19). Despite sickness, loss, and rejection, Brainerd chose hardship over ease, taking the gospel to unreached Native American tribes. He is not only the Savior who cleanses, but the coming King who will swiftly judge evil, calling all to repentance so they may know Him as merciful rather than merely just.

2 Corinthians 6:14-7:1 - Speaker: Lukus Counterman - The book of 2 Corinthians betrays a strained relationship between Paul and the church of Corinth. Even though he brought the good news of the gospel to these people, and even though he started the initial congregation, they turned on him. The relationship was cold and distant and so at the end of chapter 6, Paul explains the cause. The believers in Corinth were intermingling with unbelievers. They were toying with sin. They mistakenly thought they could blend Christianity and worldliness. But in the end, they were contaminated and their relationship with Paul was compromised. The way back home for distant Christians is to root out evil and run towards holiness in the fear of God. May the Lord teach all of us that lesson as we gather in worship this weekend.

He died A.D. 1275.Here are some concrete ways we can be more like him today:St. Raymond was a master of canon law, but he didn't use knowledge to dominate others. He used it to clarify, protect, and heal.Seek truth seriously (study, listen, think deeply).Speak truth with charity, not harshness.Use knowledge to serve people, especially when they're confused or vulnerable.Ask yourself: Does my understanding help others find peace and justice?As a confessor and advisor, Raymond emphasized compassion—especially for sinners trying to return to God.Be patient with people's struggles.Make forgiveness easier, not harder.Assume good will before judging motives.He reminds us that law and rules exist for the salvation of souls, not the other way around.Despite his brilliance, Raymond lived simply and accepted responsibilities only when needed.Do the work in front of you well, even if it's unnoticed.Avoid chasing recognition.Say yes to service when it's asked of you in love and obedience.Holiness for him wasn't dramatic—it was steady.St. Raymond advised kings and helped confront moral failures at the highest levels of power.Be willing to speak up when something is wrong.Do so respectfully, without pride or anger.Stand with those harmed by injustice.Truth without courage stays silent; courage without humility becomes harsh. He held both.His effectiveness flowed from a deep spiritual life.Make space for prayer, even when busy.Let prayer shape how you think and act.Ask God for wisdom more than success.1. Love truth, and handle it carefully2. Put mercy at the center3. Serve quietly and faithfully4. Courageously seek justice5. Stay grounded in prayer

Holiness here is not emotional or dramatic.
