He begins with his strict upbringing as a Pharisee and his zealous persecution of Christians. Paul then describes his dramatic encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus, where he was blinded and chosen to become a witness to both Jews and Gentiles. He explains how Jesus commissioned him to open the eyes of others, converting them from darkness to light and from Satan to God. Paul's message from Jesus emphasizes the forgiveness of sins for those who repent and turn to God. Festus interrupts, accusing Paul of madness, but Paul remains composed and appeals to Agrippa's understanding of the prophets. Agrippa is impressed but chooses not to respond to the gospel.  Paul's defense starts with a recounting of his past before Christ redirected him. This illustrates his humility, as he acknowledges that he believed he knew what was right but was mistaken and needed to repent. We should share aspects of our journey before coming to Christ when possible. This is a wonderful way to give all glory to the grace of Christ, who redirects and redeems us. Paul further explains that Jesus has given him a mission, which is why he risks his life and remains tireless in his teaching. Like Paul, we should be honest and bold about our mission of service to Christ, living with integrity, and challenging others with scripture in a wise and hopeful manner.  Great God of kindness and grace, thank You for bringing us through our sinful past and to a place of hope and faith. Please help us to always give glory to You for who we are in Christ Jesus. Open doors today to share our story with others, to praise the name of Jesus, and invite others to repent and turn to the Lord so that times of refreshing will come. Will You please soften the hearts of people like Agrippa, who are so close to committing their lives to Christ? How can we help? Ray, E.Z., Mark, and Oscar discuss the controversial topic of capital punishment, highlighting its complexity and the wide spectrum of beliefs among Christians. While some believers stand firmly for the death penalty, others oppose it with equal conviction. Christians are called to seek biblical truth with humility, not pride, even in secondary issues where disagreement is allowed. Jesus often responded to difficult questions with another question, inviting deeper thought rather than debate. Ray supports the death penalty in principle but recognizes the flaws in the justice system, pointing out how false witnesses in Scripture and in history have led to unjust executions. The guys agree that capital punishment must be handled with care, remembering that each life involved—perpetrator or victim—bears the image of God.Genesis 9:6 and Romans 13:1-4 are cited as the strongest scriptural support for the death penalty, with God affirming the sanctity of life by requiring justice for the shedding of innocent blood. E.Z. emphasizes that those in authority are placed by God, whether as a blessing or judgment, and voters must be mindful of this truth. Still, the group stresses that decisions involving life and death should never be made flippantly. Decided I needed a break from the battle so as to remember the foundational stuff---we can get back to the rest next week, Lord willing. Looked at a few Psalms and just considered what is eternal and important--and will be important next week, next month, and 100 years from now--rather than what grabs our attention and often steals our joy today. Romans 1:3-4 — Is Jesus really God? Some say He became divine at his baptism while others suggest He became the Son of God at His resurrection. The deity of Jesus Christ has always been challenged, not by those who are saved, but by those who want to remain in their sin. Now that King Solomon has died, the prophecies of God spoken through his prophet Ahijah have come to fruition. In our last episode, Ahijah tore a new robe into 12 pieces and gave 10 pieces to Jeroboam, symbolizing the number of tribes he would rule over. Remember that Solomon's son Rehoboam insults Jeroboam, who formerly worked under Solomon as a supervisor over forced labor. After Jeroboam led a revolt, he became king over those 10 tribes. Despite the Lord's kindness to Jeroboam, he also turned away from God and immediately set up two sanctuaries, each with a golden calf. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark and Adam McManus Escalating persecution of Christians in Africa International Christian Concern released a new report on the escalating persecution of Christians in Africa.  Targeted attacks are increasing in countries with large Christian populations like Nigeria, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Kenya.  The report documented attacks that have killed hundreds of Christians in Africa this year. These attacks not only involve brutal killings, but also abductions and displacement. They are often perpetrated by Islamic militant groups.  Please pray for our persecuted brothers and sisters in Christ in Africa.  Conservatives arrested for protesting transgenderism Belgian police arrested two conservative activists last Thursday in Brussels, Belgium for protesting transgenderism. Lois Miller, a Senior Legal Communications Officer with Alliance Defending Freedom International, was holding a sign that read: “Children are never born in the wrong body.” And Canadian child protection advocate Chris Elston was holding a sign that read: “Children cannot consent to puberty blockers.”  The two activists called the police after facing aggressive harassment from bystanders. However, the police decided to arrest Miller and Elston! Listen to comments from Miller. MILLER: “They saw that a mob was formed. They saw that we were in the minority, that we were the ones that were being attacked. And instead of standing up for our rights to have those conversations about really important topics to Belgians everywhere, instead they took us away and they let the mob go free.” Proverbs 17:15 says, “He who justifies the wicked, and he who condemns the just, both of them alike are an abomination to the LORD.” Progress in U.S.-Chinese trade talks U.S. President Donald Trump announced a preliminary trade deal with China yesterday. Trump said China will provide rare earth minerals and magnets to America and that the U.S. would restart Chinese student visas.  U.S. tariffs on imports from China stand at 55 percent, while Chinese tariffs on imports from the U.S. stand at 10 percent. Total tariffs between the two countries reached 245 percent before trade talks began. Congress might repeal pro-abortion Freedom of Access to Clinics Entrances Act The U.S. House Judiciary Committee advanced a bill this week to repeal the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act also known as the FACE Act. The Biden administration used the act to target peaceful, pro-life activists. Between 1994 and 2024, 97 percent of FACE Act prosecutions were against pro-lifers.  Republican Rep. Chip Roy of Texas said, “With a Republican-led Congress and President Trump's support, we can repeal this law and protect free speech for all.” Clarification on religious groups story from yesterday We apologize for any confusion from our story yesterday about the growth of religious groups around the world. To clarify, the total number of Christians did increase from 2.1 billion to 2.3 billion between 2010 and 2020. However, as a percentage of the world's population, Christianity actually decreased from 30.6 percent to 28.8 percent over the same time period. You see, even though the number of Christians grew over that decade, it did not grow fast enough to keep up with global population growth, especially the fertility rate of Muslims, and thus Christians decreased as a percentage of the world's population. Religious instruction under public school umbrella Public school students in Iowa can now take courses in religious instruction. Iowan Republican Governor Kim Reynolds signed the bill into law last Friday. The measure allows parents to send their children to religious instruction provided by a private group during the school day. Greg Chafuen, senior counsel at Alliance Defending Freedom, said, “Parents have the right and responsibility to guide the upbringing and education of their children. The government should not stop families from raising their children in their family's faith.” Southern Baptists call for overturn of Obergefell homosexual marriage ruling The Southern Baptist Convention adopted multiple resolutions this week on the topics of marriage, sexuality, and human life. One resolution called for the overturning of the U.S. Supreme Court's Obergefell v. Hodges ruling which legalized faux homosexual marriage. Another resolution called for Congress and state legislatures to ban chemical abortion drugs. And a third resolution called for the banning of pornographic content.  Representatives to the Southern Baptist Convention urged, “all Southern Baptists to advocate in the public square for laws and policies that reflect the moral order revealed in Scripture and nature, and to bear witness to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which alone restores broken lives, redeems sin, and brings eternal hope.” Psalm 119:46 says, “I will speak of Your testimonies also before kings, and will not be ashamed.” Worldview listeners in England, Canada and Texas share their hearts I invited Worldview listeners to share what they enjoyed about the newscast in 2-6 sentences. Romans 1:3-4 — Is Jesus really God? Some say He became divine at his baptism while others suggest He became the Son of God at His resurrection. The deity of Jesus Christ has always been challenged, not by those who are saved, but by those who want to remain in their sin. Tragedy strikes the family that has shown hospitality to Elisha when the son dies in his mother's arms. Although his father is indifferent toward the Christian faith, the mother turns toward Elisha as the only one who can offer any help. The LORD brings about a miracle by restoring the child's life in answer to Elisha's prayer. As Elisha's ministry continues, the LORD continues to concern Himself with the bodily needs of His people. Elisha's miracle of providing more than enough food for one hundred men particularly foreshadows Jesus' greater miracle of providing abundant food for five thousand men. Rev. The division in the kingdom of Israel in this part of history was greater than a matter of north and south. The biggest division was between the people and their God. Yet even as the people rebelled against the LORD as their King, still He remained faithful to call them back to Himself through His prophets, working through history to send the good and gracious King, Jesus Christ.

Man, when I see my grown children eat now, it surprises me they ever needed help! But they did. And, of course, they're doing great now all by themselves. But there was a time when they had to be fed. And then I watched that with my grandchildren. See, sometimes - especially the very little ones - they need help, especially when they have this big piece of meat or chicken placed in front of them. If you're little and you can barely see over the top of the table, a piece of meat on your plate looks like this pretty daunting challenge! You can imagine as you sit there you might be going, "How do I tackle that?" So, Dads come or Moms come and cut that meat into little pieces that the little guy can handle. That's how you tackle it. Well, I'm Ron Hutchcraft and I want to have A Word With You today about "Parenting in Bite-Sized Chunks." Now, our word for today from the Word of God comes from Psalm 118:24. It's a familiar verse, probably one you've sung or maybe memorized. But let's apply it to life's great challenge called parenting. "This is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it." I have repeated here that scriptural impression that life is meant to be handled in days. It comes up over and over again, not just here. David said, "This is the day...I'm going to handle life as days." But all through the Bible it talks about these 24-hour bite-sized chunks that we're supposed to do. It talks about strength that comes as your days come; picking up your cross daily, getting mercies that are new every morning. The Bible says "our inward man is renewed day by day," and then the Psalmist comes along and says, "I've got this day the Lord made." Not this year, not this month, not this life - I've got this day. Now, that's really helpful when it comes to the challenge of parenting. Man, you look at all that needs to be done in your child's life. They need to know that they're loved by you. You say, "Oh, there's so much to learn about discipline. They've got weaknesses I really need to work on! They've got strengths they don't believe they have, and I really need to build them up. And they have so much to learn about the Lord. There's so much to learn about life, and I have so much to get done in their life." And you look at all you need to accomplish in their lives and you're overwhelmed; you're paralyzed like a little child looking at this big piece of meat on his plate. But you've got to cut it into bite-sized chunks called days. Your mission is simply to have a good day with your child. Don't try to put a whole life, or even a whole month together. Have one good day. One day where you show your child demonstrated affection, where you debrief each other's day; one good day where you just have some laughs with each other. One day where you deal with one piece of an issue in your life or their life. One day when you give them a specific compliment. One day where you touch the Lord together and talk to Him together about something. And then let the Lord stitch those days together into a tapestry that makes a life. See, we tend to be paralyzed by guilt over the past or anxiety over the future. Our fears. Why not trust the Lord to cover both of those, and you have a good day today. That's how you build a better future. So, don't be overwhelmed by that whole piece of things you need to do as a parent. Just take it one bite at a time.

Today, Karl and Crew continued the weekly theme of “Fathers in the Bible” by discussing how God can break generational curses passed down through families. As followers of Christ, we have a Father who can deliver us from wicked patterns, so long as we turn to Him for guidance. We see this in 2 Kings 21, where we read about King Manasseh, the most wicked king in the Bible. Manasseh chose to do evil in the sight of the Lord, and after his reign, one of his sons, Amon, followed in his footsteps; however, his grandson, Josiah, broke the pattern and sought the Lord throughout his reign as king. We also heard similar stories from our listeners as they called to share how they chose a different path than their family when pursuing the Lord. We then spoke with David Stephens about the importance of discipleship with younger believers. David is a pastor, speaker, and coach with nearly 20 years of experience leading and discipling young adults. He has also authored the book “Getting It Together: 10 Lessons to Help Young Adults Live an Insanely Fruitful Life.” Dr. Michelle Watson Canfield also joined us to discuss the importance of a Father-Daughter relationship. Dr. Canfield is a licensed professional counselor, national speaker, and author. But what does this mean, to convince the world of sin? I greet you in Jesus' precious name! It is Thursday morning, the 12th of June, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We start in Genesis 9:13: “I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth.” Then we go to the Book of Hebrews 12:24:”…Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant,…” God gave us, you and me, the most beautiful sign in the sky that He would never ever flood the earth again. Now, being a farmer, I study the clouds, I study the weather, and after a beautiful shower of rain on a hot summer's afternoon, what do we see? We see a beautiful rainbow in the sky, a sign that the Lord has given to you and me that He will never flood the earth with water again, but God has now given us yet another even more powerful sign - a cross. You know folks, I want to tell you honestly, Jesus Christ has been made the Mediator (that is what it says in Hebrews) between God and ourselves. What is a mediator? Well, the Oxford Dictionary calls a mediator, a peacemaker, a go-between, a middleman, and that is what Jesus Christ is to you and I. I don't know how many and maybe a lot of you listening to this message have seen it as well - I have seen a cross in the sky. Oh yes, I have seen a cloud with a cross cut out of the cloud. Then I have seen a cloud in the form of a cross, not once, many times in our great outdoor meetings, and there are thousands of witnesses who have seen the same cross. That cross is a New Covenant between you and me and the Lord Jesus Christ. The Father sent His Son down to finish the job. “Go down Son, and be the final covenant between Myself and man.” If any man or woman, boy or girl, be in Christ Jesus, they are a new creation. So if you love Jesus Christ today, you have nothing to fear. When you see the rainbow in the sky, it is a beautiful reminder. Oh, but when you see the cross, you know that we have eternal life through Jesus Christ our Saviour. Have a beautiful day and continue to be a cloud watcher, because remember, at the end of the day, the Master is coming back in the clouds to take you and I home to be with Him in glory forever and ever, amen.
