Jindalee Lithium Ltd (ASX:JLL, OTCQX:JNDAF) CEO Ian Rodger sits down with Jonathan Jackson in the Proactive studio to discuss a A$6.7 million capital raise through a combination of placement, entitlement issue and convertible notes, with an option to increase this by A$9 million. The funds will support the completion of the McDermitt Lithium Project's pre-feasibility study (PFS), focusing on optimising capital intensity, operating costs, and production outcomes. Additional activities in the US will include baseline studies, permitting, and stakeholder engagement. In 2024, Jindalee plans to advance McDermitt by securing tribal agreements, US Government technical cooperation agreements and producing battery-grade lithium carbonate. Other milestones include updating on POSCO test work, completing the optimised PFS, potentially receiving US Government grant funding and starting a strategic partnership/investment process. Firm commitments of A$4.1 million for the placement include A$600,000 from institutional investors, directors and management at A$0.30 per share. This also includes A$500,000 from Mercer Street Global Opportunity Fund II, LP. Eligible shareholders can participate in a non-renounceable entitlement issue to raise up to A$3.1 million on the same terms. Directors and management have pre-committed A$500,000 to this issue. Additional funding up to $12 million via convertible securities from Mercer Street is also available. Rodger emphasised the importance of this funding for Jindalee's future work programs, highlighting the value optimisation at McDermitt. Mercer Street's managing partner, Jonathan Juchno, expressed confidence in Jindalee's potential, noting a significant value disconnect between the company's market valuation and the strategic potential of the McDermitt Project. #ProactiveInvestors #JindaleeLithium #ASX #OTCQX #McDermittProject #Lithium #ASXJLL #Funding #PreFeasibilityStudy #BatteryGradeLithium #CapitalRaising #USActivities #StrategicPartnership #LithiumMarket #EntitlementIssue #ConvertibleNotes #MercerStreet #Investment #Mining #LithiumProduction #EnergyStorage #RenewableEnergy #BatteryValueChain #invest #investing #investment #investor #stockmarket #stocks #stock #stockmarketnews

The death of a 66-year-old woman whose body was found in a Seattle homeless encampment earlier this month has been ruled a homicide.A medical examiner's report identifies the woman as Annette Barnes and suggests she died four days before her body was discovered in an encampment on Mercer Street in South Lake Union on March 14.The report said Barnes died from asphyxia due to manual strangulation and suffocation.KOMO News recorded drone video of the area on March 13 for a story about frustrations from neighbors who have been calling the city with safety concerns around the encampment.A neighbor who asked to not be identified told KOMO News on Tuesday that she is considering moving out of South Lake Union to the city and state's inaction to clear the encampment."I want to feel safe again. The police keep getting these phone calls, the fire department keeps getting these phone calls, but nobody is doing anything. If I continue not feeling safe, there's no way I can keep living here anymore," she said. The Mercer street encampment has had multiple prior issues, including at least eight reported fires since last summer.A resident of the encampment was arrested and charged in 2022 for an alleged rape that occurred in the encampment. Those charges were later dismissed due to 'evidentiary issues', according to court documents.Support the showSign Up For Exclusive Episodes At: https://reasonabletv.com/LIKE & SUBSCRIBE for new videos every day. https://www.youtube.com/c/NewsForReasonablePeople

Drivers who enter I-5 at Seattle's Mercer Street on-ramp pass by a growing encampment for the unhoused that is obscured behind trees and repurposed "welcome to South Lake Union" banners.Inside the camp, Kandice and Mark, who asked to be identified only by their first names, are busy building their home.99 percent of this house is stuff that came out of dumpsters," Mark told KOMO. "We don't have a house or a home right now and this is how we know to survive.Mark said it's taken him about a month to build the tiny house, which includes an A-framed roof, foundation, window, and door."We found ourselves on the sidewalk after that with all our stuff just trying to guard it. We figured we'd build this structure here because it's better than just a tent," he said. The house is going up in the same encampment where KOMO reported last week about a series of fires, threats with weapons, and damage to the Seattle City and Light power infrastructure. The property where they are building the house belongs in part to the Seattle Department of Transportation and Washington Department of Transportation. Both agencies told KOMO they are aware of the encampment and coordinating on how to deal with it.Support the showSign Up For Exclusive Episodes At: https://reasonabletv.com/LIKE & SUBSCRIBE for new videos every day. https://www.youtube.com/c/NewsForReasonablePeople

Box 508 Georgetown, KY 40324 Kenworth, one of my favorite truck manufacturers, like so many other truck manufacturers came into being by someone buying or merging into another company. Kenworth was no exception. Gerlinger Motors of Portland, Oregon was a car and truck dealership owned by two brothers George T. Gerlinger and Louis Gerlinger Jr. The dealership was not enough for the Gerlinger brothers so in 1914 the brothers expanded into vehicle manufacturing. The Gerlinger brothers began marketing a truck they named the “Gersix”. Their truck was powered by a inline six-cylinder engine. One of the first six-cylinder engines put in a truck. The truck was named the Gersix after the engine. The Gersix truck was framed in structural steel. The heavy-duty construction of the Gersix found itself in demand by loggers through the Northwest. By 1916, Gerlinger Motors had outgrown its plant in Oregon. The plant was relocated to Tacoma, Washington. The Gerling brothers leased a building from Edgar K. Worthington. In 1917, Gerlinger Motors fell on hard times and filed for bankruptcy At that time Gerlinger was placed for sale. E.K. Worthington saw a good deal, so he acquired the company with his business partner Captain Frederick Kent. They renamed the company the Gersix Motor Company. In 1919 Harry Kent, his son, replaced Captain Kent, as a partner in the company on Sr. Kents retirement. By 1922, Gersix Motor Company produced 53 trucks in its final year at its factory on Fairview Avenue at Valley Street. By 1923, Gersix Motor Company had created a strong demand for the Gersix model line of trucks. With Gersix Motor Company success Gersix Motors was reincorporated as the Kenworth Motor Truck Company, thus, combining the names of partners Kent and Worthington. The factory was once again relocated within Seattle to 506 Mercer Street and later to 1263 Mercer Street. Wasn't that a colorful history, of how Kenworth came to be? Of course, that's not the complete story. There are many more years of Kenworth history. But for now this will do. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/logan-skeele/message

Architect Morris Adjmi talks about Scholastic, Inc. building. The world headquarters of the educational publisher Scholastic Inc. provides new office and retail space in a ten-story building on the edge of SoHo. Designed in collaboration with Aldo Rossi, and posthumously completed, the Scholastic Building honors the architectural traditions of its landmarked SoHo neighborhood in a contemporary architectural vocabulary. The building's Broadway façade, in steel, terra-cotta and stone, takes its inspiration from the classical organization of the elegant 19th-century facades that line the street. A second façade, equal in scale and dimension, expresses a more utilitarian and industrial character of Mercer Street that it faces.

Dan Lazare, investigative journalist, and Ted Rall, Political Cartoonist and Syndicated Columnist join us to discuss New York Governor Andrew Cuomo. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has resigned from office amidst a notorious sexual harassment scandal. Cuomo said that the investigation is politically motivated and "New York tough means New York loving, and I love New York, and I love you. I would never want to be unhelpful in any way."K. J. Noh, peace activist, writer, and teacher, joins us to discuss the US military as a vector for the transmission of Covid. K.J. co-authored a scholarly article in which he examines the US military as a vector for transmittable diseases from a historical and current perspective. K.J. argues that "the underreporting of this disease vector notwithstanding, as our analysis will show there is well documented evidence for the military as a pathogen transmitter spanning over a century."Mark Sleboda, Moscow based international relations security analyst, joins us to discuss Belarus. The US empire's recent moves to support regime change in Belarus have produced the opposite reaction from the former Soviet satellite nation as the nation's president announces plans to further integrate with Russia. Dr. Yolandra Hancock, board certified pediatrician and obesity medicine specialist, joins us to discuss the current major news stories regarding the ongoing covid crisis. Medical experts are working to understand why covid infections have hit the highest numbers since last February, before vaccines were widely available. Also, a seemingly partisan battle over school mask mandates is heating up, as children are set to return to school in most states. Laith Marouf, broadcaster and journalist based in Beirut, Lebanon joins us to discuss the attack on an Israel linked vessel named "Mercer Street." US leadership is sending contradicting signals as Secretary of State Tony Blinken blames Iran for the attack, as the Pentagon dispatches soldiers to Yemen allegedly to search for the persons responsible. Meanwhile, Iran denies any involvement and Israel pushes for a disastrous war against the Islamic Republic. Frederick B. Mills, professor of philosophy at Bowie State University and deputy director of the Council of Hemispheric Affairs, joins us to discuss the Monroe doctrine. Professor Mills argues that the prosecution of the Monroe doctrine that the US has levied against the Bolivarian republic, Latin America and the Carribean is simply an external form of the same Jim Crow/Apartheid policies it has continually perpetrated against Black Americans. Steve Poikonen, national organizer for Action4Assange, joins us to discuss an odd situation in Buffalo. Now that the citizens of Buffalo have selected an avowed democratic socialist as the new mayor, the Democratic party establishment is exploring ways to circumvent that choice. The latest extra Democratic maneuver proposed by the city council involves dissolving the powers of the mayor into a new position called a "city manager."Leo Flores, Latin America coordinator for Code Pink, joins us to discuss Venezuela. The draconian US sanctions against the Bolivarian republic have drained an estimated $57.1 billion dollars in asset losses from the people of Venezuela. Also, regime change proponents are now pushing for "free and fair" elections in November, despite the reality that the Venezuela elections have been dubbed some of the most fair elections on Earth by international election observers.
On COI #147, Dave DeCamp – News Editor at Antiwar.com – returns to the show to discuss how American pols increasingly use China as a political weapon. Secretary of State Antony Blinken recently warned that the US must pass a massive infrastructure spending bill or risk ‘losing' to China. He also warned that Beijing is in the midst of a nuclear buildup. However, the Chinese nuclear arsenal is many times smaller than the American arsenal, and the US is planning to spend trillions updating its own nuclear weapons stockpile. The US is working to influence the geopolitics of Southeast Asia against China, forming stronger ties with many of the country's neighbors and endorsing territorial claims that rival Beijing's. The last several US administrations have also sought to form stronger ties with Taiwan, including through arms sales, while an American commander recently stated the US is ready and able to defend the island. Dave and Kyle update the Taliban offensive in Afghanistan. Provincial capitals are falling at a rapid pace as the Biden administration continues to say it is holding firm on the August 31st withdrawal date. The US still has 650 troops deployed to the Kabul embassy and is bombing Taliban targets at an increasing rate. However, the US airstrikes are not enough to turn back Taliban advances. Dave and Kyle discuss what Biden will do as the crumbling Afghan state faces tough decisions. The Mercer Street was the first of two cargo ships attacked off the coast of Oman in recent weeks. The attack was blamed on Iran by the US, Israel and many Western allies. Israel is demanding action against Iran – which has denied involvement – and even suggested it would carry out a unilateral response. New reports from the UK press say British special forces are working with their American counterparts on the ground in eastern Yemen to bring the culprits to justice. Dave and Kyle examine the possible actors behind the attacks. Dave updates the US mission in Iraq. A recent agreement between Washington and Baghdad said the American mission would shift to training only. However, that agreement appears to be a PR stunt attempting to appease the American and Iraqi people's desire for the occupation to finally end. BLUE CAST Ep6 - Scott + TriciaBlue Blood on the GreenThis BLUE CAST Episode, Tricia Carey talks with Designer Scott MorrisonDesigner Scott Morrison was born and raised in Palm Springs, California, and attended the University of Washington, Seattle, on an athletic scholarship for golf. A professional in the sport by age 23, he developed an interest in the clothing industry while in college, and soon accepted a position with local clothing designer, Derek Andrew. Two years later, in 1998, Scott was hired to oversee the sales and marketing of a new denim division of Mudd Jeans, based in New York City. Scott chose to remain in the city and subsequently founded ‘Paper Denim & Cloth' in 1999.Scott's reputation in the industry grew over the next four years at Paper Denim. After almost five years of developing, designing, and managing one of the first American success stories in the ‘Premium Denim' market, Morrison left Paper Denim to launch a new denim brand called ‘Earnest Sewn' and clothing line known as ‘An Earnest Cut & Sew' in 2004. Both reflected his passion for quality, the Japanese aesthetic principle of wabi-sabi (i.e. beauty in imperfection), and his love of American heritage.Earnest Sewn became a modern day testament to quality, tradition, and the ever-present influence of denim in a continually evolving world culture. Scott continued to develop his love of architecture and interior design during those years, designing all three of the Earnest Sewn stores, and the Milk Bar at Milk Studios in New York City. Morrison chose to move on from the brand in 2009, and briefly helped with the rebranding and repositioning of Japanese cult denim label, ‘Evisu' from 2009 to 2010.In February 2011, Morrison took what may be his most personal vision, and launched ‘3×1'. The name “3×1” is derived from denim's standard weaving construction, the ‘3×1 Right Hand Twill', and also references Morrison's third venture, following Paper Denim and Earnest Sewn. As a label, 3×1 is defined by its transparency, quality, and uniqueness with a location at 15 Mercer Street housing a 4,000 sq.ft. retail and gallery space, an entire manufacturing facility as well as their 3,200 sq.ft. design studio. In 2020 Scoot sold 3x1, and moved back to California with his family to return to his 1st love Golf and start a company called Radmor with his college roommate Bob Conrad. Radmor is the first brand in the golf industry to focus on the elimination of using ‘virgin' polyester on a garment level. and using Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) Organic and Extra-Long Staple (ELS) Pima cotton apparel while incorporating more environmentally responsible performance technologies, and thereby reducing our impact on the environment.Tricia Carey is a well-known advocate for innovation and sustainability in the textile and apparel industry. Twenty years ago, Tricia joined Courtalds Fibers NY to develop the marketing plan for a brand new fiber called TENCEL. When Lenzing Fibers acquired Tencel Inc. in 2004, Tricia became the USA Merchandising Manager for Womenswear, Menswear, and Intimates. Today, Tricia directs the Global Denim Segment, as well as the Americas Business Development teams, with a special interest in advancing more sustainable apparel development from fiber to consumer use. Tricia holds a Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising from The Fashion Institute of Technology and certificates in Digital Marketing and Strategy from Cornell University and MIT. 2 June 2019 Seventh Sunday of Easter John 17:20-26 + Homily 17 Minutes 11 Seconds Link to the Readings: http://www.usccb.org/bible/readings/060219-7thday.cfm (New American Bible, Revised Edition) From the parish bulletin: To have known Father Stanley Jaki for more than twenty years was a privilege and a challenge. The privilege was to count as friend and mentor this Benedictine cited by many as one of the five priests whose science has most shaped our understanding of the world. The others are Copernicus in astronomy, Mendel in genetics, Mercalli in seismology, and Lemaitre in physics. The challenge was in being corrected often by this fiery Hungarian whose zeal in debate took no prisoners. In my book Cloud of Witnesses, I mentioned how Jaki cautioned me against making the Big Bang theory into a theological statement. That was similar to the polite correction Georges Lemaitre made, on a higher plane, in 1951when Pope Pius XII had implied that Lemaitre’s Big Bang proposition proved a Creator as well as Creation. Einstein admired Lemaitre, and you might say that he was agnostic about agnosticism, observing cryptically: “If God created the world, his primary concern was certainly not to make its understanding easy for us.” Einstein could be impatient with outright atheists: “The eternal mystery of the world is its comprehensibility.” He could not say more without compromising the limits of his own science. Saint Augustine wrote: “We do not read in the Gospel that the Lord said, ‘I will send the Paraclete to teach you the course of the sun and the moon;’ in fact, He wanted to create Christians, not mathematicians.” Later, Cardinal Baronio, a spiritual disciple of Saint Philip Neri, epigrammed: “The Bible teaches us how to go to heaven, not how the heavens go.” This applies to the enigmatic Shekhinah, or Glory of God, in the form of a cloud that accompanied the wandering Jews (Exodus 13:21) and appeared on Sinai (Exodus 24:16) and on Tabor (Matthew 17:5). Finally, it was seen at the Ascension. While this cloud could be perceived by human senses, it was beyond physical analysis. Here meteorology yields to another dimension for which there is no human definition other than acknowledgement of its existence. The Christian response moves beyond analysis to rejoicing. When Saint Paul spoke of a man who had experienced a “Third Heaven” (2 Corinthians 12:2) he could say no more than that. I knew a woman who, Christmas caroling as a child, sang “Silent Night” outside Einstein’s house at 112 Mercer Street in Princeton. The Professor appeared on the porch with his violin and, while not singing the words, played the music. In a sermon of 388, Gregory of Nyssa mentioned a special Feast of the Ascension to celebrate the Phos tou kosmou, the Light of the World. At the Ascension, the angel told the people not to gaze into the heavens, but to pray. Saint Paul would say: “When the Lord comes again, the living and the dead will be gathered in the clouds” (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17).

Meshell Ndegeocello was born Michelle Johnson in Berlin, Germany and raised in Washington DC.By the early 90's, she had landed in New York armed with a demo recorded in her bedroom, joined the Black Rock Coalition, and was soon signed to Madonna's label. Her records, 8 to date, have offered lyrical ruminations on race, love, sex, betrayal, God, and power, and she has simultaneously embraced and challenged listeners with her refusal to be pigeon-holed musically or personally. Genre defiant, Meshell has been celebrated for choosing the road less traveled - a winding adventure through her own musical ambitions rather than the industry formulas. Along the way, she has earned diehard fans, critical acclaim, the unfailing respect of fellow players, songwriters and composers, and 10 Grammy award nominations. http://www.meshell.com Devil's Halo, Meshell's 8th album and her first for Mercer Street, harkens back to the way records used to be made: no click track or electronic synthetics, with a focus on musicianship and live band energy. Meshell feels that Devil's Halo represents a return to a place that she truly appreciates, music that is created and performed by people's hands. Produced by Meshell and guitarist Chris Bruce, and influenced by a wide breadth of sounds from The Human League to Wu Tang to Yes, Devil's Halo displays Meshell's vocals and diversity throughout.

My interview with dancer-choreographer Ashleigh Leite, conducted in the fall of 2007, is a reminder of how critically important it is for emerging creative artists here in New York to have the support of organizations like Joyce SoHo. As an artist-in-residence at Joyce SoHo's Mercer Street studios, Ashleigh was provided with ample time, rehearsal space, guidance and helpful feedback as she developed Crawl Space, her evening-length, multi-media ensemble which received its premiere at Danspace Project in November 2007--a major step forward in her career. I hope you'll enjoy my talk with this interesting, thoughtful artist and look for the next opportunity to see her work. GUEST BIO Ashleigh Leite, originally from Scottsdale, Arizona, graduated (cum laude) from SUNY Purchase with a BFA in Dance Performance in 1997. Upon graduation, Ashleigh joined Stephen Petronio Company, where she served as Assistant Director/Rehearsal Director and a dancer for over eight years (1997-2005). While maintaining a full schedule with Stephen Petronio Company, Ashleigh began to pursue her own work as a freelance choreographer. In March 2006, at Joyce SoHo in New York City, she premiered Autopsy for which she received a Lower Manhattan Cultural Council Swing Space Award. During the fall of 2006, Ashleigh was an Artist-in-Residence at Dance New Amsterdam and premiered flawed in December; this year, she has been an Artist-in-Residence at Joyce SoHo. She is a current member of Pavel Zustiak's Palissimo and has performed in works by Jamie Bishton, David Allen Harris and Jeremy Nelson.
