Hearthstone Reveal – 23:30 Hearthstone was my entry to Blizzard games.  There is a new expansion coming soon diving back into the Black Empire.  Also, I invent my second Blizzard game in back-to-back episodes—Hearthstone Classic!  Who's with me?! Diablo Reveals – 29:10 Never really played Diablo, but with a Netflix show and an intriguing announcement of Diablo V, I'm open, or will be in 2029 when it arrives. Starcraft Reveal – 35:27 Also not a Starcraft player, but dude…did you see that cinematic?!  An open-world, story-driven shooter game just might pull me into the SC universe. Retail WoW Reveals – 49:12 All of the news related to the five remaining patches coming in Midnight. 12.2 news – 49:44 12.2.5 news – 1:02:53 12.2.7 news – 1:04:57 12.1.5 news – 1:06:04 12.1.7 news – 1:06:58 Talebound Game Mode – 1:07:12 New standalone game mode that is definitely not Plunderstorm.  Looking forward to this as a solo player! Next Remix is…Wrath! – 1:13:33 Not Shadowlands, we are heading back to Northrend to speedrun it all before the story returns to Northrend for The Last Titan. The Last Titan Teaser – 1:14:56 Slightly unexpected and thin on any details, this brief cinematic definitely teases what's on the horizon.  Giant titan robots. Warcraft III…What? – 1:22:22 An expansion for what now?  The new campaigns added to Warcraft III give us insight into the fall of Lorderon and set up the story at the opening of the next new way to play World of Warcraft… WoW Forever! – 1:28:43 Finally, we put the moniker “Classic+” to bed once and for all.  WoW Forever has enchanted a large portion of the WoW player base and this is only beta.  Launch is November 4.  So excited for this sweet spot combination of Classic and Retail, possibly greater than the sum of its parts. So, What is the Character Limit in WoW Forever? – 1:58:40 There are 52 possible combinations of race and class in WoW Forever as of the beta.  Does the character limit allow you to try them all?  At this moment, yes!  Seems the cap is 70, just like Retail. “What have you done lately?” – 2:05:18  A little bit of my bumping around in retail and switching the main back to feral druid for the rest of Midnight and beyond.  Round 2 of the Xbox Reset has arrived thanks to none of other than the Green Reaper. Joining us is Gene Park to discuss the fallout of these events. Halo is now officially run by Activision as Xbox finally chopped down 343 aka Halo Studios. It has been a long time coming as 343 managed the franchise for 15 years. Their tenure brought us Halo Anniversary Edition, Halo 4, Halo 5 Guardians, Halo Infinite, Halo Wars 2, and Halo Campaign Evolved. Almost all of these were disasters in their own way and as Asha Sharma's team cleans house, this felt inevitable in the wake of poor sales for the latest Halo remake. So, how can Activision rebuild the franchise? What direction do they take things in? Is it time to rebuild from scratch and ignore literally anything done before? Are sprint, ADS, and mantling returning features? How long will all of this take? It is a seismic undertaking and one thing is clear: another 343 led Halo game that sucks would sting, but another new beginning that results in disaster would drive us all to the point of insanity. Xbox must nail this, but that goes for a number of their IP they're now looking to nurture. Obsidian has joined forces with Bethesda and it's no doubt that these two will be at the hip for a very long time as Fallout continues to peak in popularity. What is Obsidian's creative future? Are they forever attached to Fallout or are more experiments on the way? Plus, will InXile join the fold at Bethesda eventually as the Xbox Game Studios family has become incredibly lean. BlizzCon just wrapped, and so there is so much to talk about we couldn't pack it all into an hour. We spent around an hour on WoW Forever, the new Classic+ that was rumored and is now coming to fruition with a sort-of alternate history. There was a lot of Midnight news too, including Talebound, which is an upcoming alt mode a la Plunderstorm. We got a small tidbit from The Last Titan, we saw Holly Longdale's impeccable outfit -- and that was just all the WoW stuff! No wait, it wasn't. There's also going to be Undead Paladins, to tie in to both a Warcraft 3 expansion and Wrath of the Lich KingRemix, the portmanteau for which is still up in the air (I lean toward Wremix, but I've seen a few ReLiches too).There were two very long-range reveals for Diablo 5 and StarCraft, not to mention a Netflix Diablo series with no ETA at all. The Hearthstone Battlegrounds new Anomaly family and the next Overwatch season (and next hero Doctrine) release next week though, for a little balance. The Hearthstone expansion Reign of the Black Empire is a bit further off, though, slated for October.Did I forget anything? Something that a frequent guest host might find terribly exciting, like a new hero for Heroes of the Storm? Eh, probably not. I'd remember something like that.Oh! Amazons! For Diablo 4! BlizzCon 2026 handed out a StarCraft open world shooter that does not land until 2030, a Diablo 5 release window in spring 2029, and a plan to turn World of Warcraft Classic into something called World of Warcraft Forever. Frank and Squeaks were both on the floor for all of it, and they came back with announcement reactions, three hour lines, a Todd McFarlane signature, and Matt Mercer running an Overwatch tabletop game in front of 8,000 people. The Warcraft talk takes up most of the hour, and for good reason. World of Warcraft Forever adds new races, new zones, dungeons and raids to the Classic version of Azeroth, including undead paladins for the Horde, with a beta starting next Thursday ahead of a November 4 launch. Frank played the five man dungeon demo on the show floor and came out talking about how much real communication a slower pace forces back into a group, while Squeaks, who has never touched Classic, walked away planning a warlock.
