This week's podcast is packed with an incredible mix of stories from the intriguing, to the shocking, to the hilarious. So.. business as usual. First on the Ann and Phelim Scoop: Pope Is the new Pope the first Catholic Pope in over a decade? Or does his Progressivism drown out his faith. We bring you the good news and the bad news. And we reveal the World War II anniversary that Ireland would rather you didn't know about. Let's just say there is a long history in Ireland of not caring about Jewish sensitivities (to say the least). And speaking of hidden news, this week's entrants in our “Bury The Lead” are from publications on the west and east coast. And they are real bangers. The media will go to extraordinary lengths to hide the truth from you - particularly if it makes the Trump administration look good. And speaking of coverups we expose the lies, the new Artificial Intelligence technology will spin you about abortion. They are well schooled in censorship. And we reveal the lies about the abortion pill and the harm it does to thousands of women. We also follow how the Trump administration has been rooting out waste, fraud and abuse, and this week we focus on the Environmental Protection Agency which is in a hot seat that global warming zealots would be jealous of.And where are Ann's jet setting airpods after she lost them on the Mark Steyn Cruise? Watch our new favorite game as we use the Find My feature to see the Airpods fantastic journey. This week we have an interesting twist in the saga. Also we always love hearing from you guys and today we will be reading some of your comments on the show.Don't forget to subscribe and leave a comment wherever you get our content and please consider leaving a donation at unreportedstorysociety.com We are a 501(c)(3) so your donation will be tax deductible.

Jonah Chapter 3 Part 1

Unraveling The Words of Yahweh

Play Episode Listen Later Feb 24, 2025 72:28

JONAH was the most ancient of all the prophets whose writings have come down to us. He is supposed to have prophesied in the latter end of Jehu's or the beginning of Jehoahaz's reignThe author of the book is Jonah. His name (הָונֹי Yonah) means “dove.” Yahshua Messiah mentions Jonah, and the account of this book, as true history (Mat 12:39-41).The book of Jonah was written to Israel to show that Yahweh's grace and mercy extends to Gentiles, even those whom Israel regards as their evil enemies. In this study we will begin in Chapter 3. In the last chapter we saw Jonah being spit or vomited up onto dry land by the great fish. In this Chapter 3 we are going to see that the people of Nineveh instantly accept Jonah. This would certainly seem odd for a heathen Pagan city, if we did not understand that the Ninevites worshiped a fish-headed god name 'Dagon'. Side note if you look and the headdress of the Catholic Pope and bishops you will notice the Dagon fish like hat that they wear! So to the Ninevites this man Jonah, who claimed to speak for Yahweh, and whom was delivered unto them by an immense fish, must be a Divine sign. The Ninevites took to Jonah and his message like a fish takes to water. But seriously, if they worshiped a fish god, and this man was delivered (sent) to them by a fish, they would almost worship him, and would most certainly heed any warning he delivered. Perhaps this was Almighty Yahweh's plan all along.2    great city = Not good, but this word 'great' in the Hebrew is 'gadowl'; Hebrew word #1419, and it means: massive, proud, disrespectful, and of old.3   great city of three days' journey = Not three days from where Jonah was, but this was a form of measure in those days. What this is saying is that the city was so large that it was three days walk to go around its outer walls. Three day's journey was approximately sixty miles around. Quite a large city for those days and in [4:11] we see that Nineveh had six score thousand inhabitants (120,000).4   began to enter into the city a day's journey = Jonah walked 20 miles into the heart of the city. cried = Proclaimed (same word used for 'preach' in verse 2).  forty = In Biblical numeric's, the number forty represents probation, and Nineveh had just about exhausted Yahweh's patience, their probation from destruction was ending in forty days. overthrown = Destroyed. This is Hebrew word #2015: 'haphak', and it is the identical word used of Yahweh's destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah [Gen 19:24-25]. The Ninevites may have been aware of the 'legend' of Yahweh's judgment and destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah5    believed = Believed the proclamation of their impending doom, and sought to atone to Yahweh wherein they might be spared.  proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth = A sign of mourning and repentance from the greatest. . . = Everyone in Nineveh heeded Yahweh's words through Jonah, and they all participated in the offering of repentance to the Lord.Jonah's message had an extraordinary effect upon the people in Nineveh. They understood that Yahweh had sent Jonah to declare this message on Yahweh's behalf. So they gave careful attention to what Jonah was saying. They believed that Yahweh had made his judgment against them. They had just 40 days until the time when they, and their great city, would suffer a terrible punishment. In that punishment, they would lose their lives and everything that they possessed.Join me as we go Chapter by Chapter, Verse by Verse, Unraveling the Words of Yahweh!Have any questions? CULTIVATING SAINTS, SAGES, AND STATESMEN THROUGH THE GREAT TRADITIONThis is the first episode in our new series, "Setting the Record Straight: The Truth vs. Anti-Catholic Myths," in which we will refute various anti-Catholic myths, and share eye-opening accounts that paint an entirely different picture of the Catholic Church than we are often given. In this first installment, we cover a largely unknown story of a Pope who not only repented of the sins of priests and Popes at the very beginning of the protestant "reformation," but also provided a stunningly accurate and prophetic warning about where Luther's errors would lead. When I first heard this story as a protestant, I was shocked. I never knew a Catholic Pope, amidst the heat of the "reformation," had shown such transparent humility. It showed me a side of the Catholic Church I never knew, and was certainly never told about. In addition, the Pope's warnings about where Luther's principles would lead rang uncomfortably true with my experience as a protestant. This story will help refute two comment protestant assertions: that the Catholic Church was unrepentantly corrupt, and that Luther's principles were an attempt at "reform" rather than a revolution.CHAPTERS00:00 - Intro02:35 - Roadmap04:16 - Historical Context09:04 - The Pope Repents15:00 - The Pope Prophesies27:24 - ConclusionLIKE, SHARE, AND FOLLOWWe hope this episode of the Eternal Christendom Podcast is a blessing to you and those you love. Dr. Tony Costa discusses several problematic issues with Pope Francis and analyzes the various problems with the Roman Catholic doctrine of Papal Infallibility. In this episode, we discuss some of the scandals that Pope Francis has been through including changing views on divorce, universalism, the denial of Hell, being accused of heresy by Catholic theologians and more. We examine the top theological issues with Pope Francis and whether he could be legitimately considered a heretic by both Catholics and Protestants. We also look at reasons why Pope Francis has pushed leftward on many issues and consider whether the Roman Catholic doctrine of Papal Infallibility holds any weight. This is an episode we hope will help Protestants and Catholics alike think carefully about these issues and equip them for fruitful conversations. Tony Costa earned a B.A. and M.A. in Biblical Studies from the University of Toronto and earned his Ph.D in New Testament and Theology from Radboud University in the Netherlands. He is a professor of apologetics at the Toronto Baptist Seminary. He also teaches as an instructor with the University of Toronto in the areas of Gospel Studies and Archaeology of the Bible and the Ancient Near East. Tony is also an ordained Minister of the Gospel. He is the author of 'Worship and the Risen Jesus in the Pauline Letters' and 'Early Christian Creeds and Hymns'. His forthcoming book 'No King but Christ: The Collapse and Bankruptcy of Secular Worldviews' will be released later this year. As I listened to Anne, I was struck with how much she LOVES family. She's a single woman. But she clings to family, including those by close blood relations, those of her Nation, those who love Jesus Christ, and those who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She started really regularly going to the temple because of the Catholic Pope. Seriously. She sees how The Book of Mormon can heal hearts, minds, and souls. She loves attending church and powwow--because both bring people together to worship our Creator. And she continues to strengthen her faith by practicing the formula we've been taught: ask a question, search for answers, and do the thing that she wonders about. It was a total joy to visit with Anne.

Many people believe that Christianity is antithetical to sexual freedom and pleasure. Today I sit down with Christopher West, the President of the Theology of the Body Institute, to discuss the beauty of God's plan for human sexuality. Former Catholic Mike Gendron Compares Cultic Catholicism with Biblical Christianity

After three decades in the Catholic church, Mike Gendron realized that he needed to put down the rosary and pick up the Bible. After turning his life over to Jesus Christ, Mike is now an evangelist with Proclaiming the Gospel, and he says that America is a nation that is likely under divine judgment for turning its back on God. Mike says that we are being lied to by the people who lead our nation, and that it's important for Christians to make the most of every opportunity to share the Word of God with the time we have left. Mike also discusses the critical importance of discerning false teaching, and why objective truth that is rooted in the Bible is so deeply needed in our postmodern culture.   TAKEAWAYS Mike has written two eye-opening books, Preparing for Eternity and Contending for the Gospel. The Catholic Pope teaches a false and fatal gospel and dares to call himself the ‘Holy Father' . Discerning between God's perfect doctrine and the doctrine of Satan's demons is important when identifying false teachers.  Christians need discernment to examine ourselves, the world, other men's teachings, and to expose the heretics.

The Missing Chapter: History's Forgotten Stories

There are 2 camps of people in the world – cat people and dog people. If you're as old as the Catholic Church, it's safe to say, you've had your fair share of battles and have made your fair share of enemies over the years and the Catholic Church, it would seem, undeniably falls into the latter camp and is certainly not… cat people. The Church's war against felines in the 13th-century was of epic proportions and would have repercussions that extended far beyond which domesticated animals people welcomed into their homes. In fact, the decree issued by the Catholic Pope in 1233, would help contribute to the death of nearly 25 million people in Europe. In this episode of The Missing Chapter Podcast, we look at history's disdain for cats and how the Catholic Church's attack on them would help ignite a pestilence that gripped an entire continent. Your earbuds will watch “The Facts of Meth” when Big Luck's, Ol' Blue Eyes, Schwartz and Chumahan rip apart the bullshit on music and the huge catalog sell-offs by legacy artists and the question is: where the fuck is the new music? Find out Tech Corp's plot to kill off new music, to create and milk the shit out of old music catalogs with the freezing power of nostalgia. Dogface? Stevie Nicks. Why does Chumahan hate the term “4-D Chess.” Chumahan's invitation to send in Silly Shit to hluckshow@gmail.com. Are viral nostalgic fake-assed blowups choking out true blue grassroots new talent? OBE's advice for new artists comes to light and Schwartz's buddy Silly Puddy. OBE's music crisis and whether the HLS Intro is too long.Transcript:Good morning and welcome to the hard luck. I'm sure about qualify west side host Steve lucky Luciano. That's why these gentlemen you've tuned into the greatest show on earth is to our look, show, come eat. If you, from the people youth center in Santa Monica college. Sidney across from me, my cohort,Indian, Southern California.all that grind on that's wrong. You know why? Because I live for the pain of that foot. Stop me. Stop me.Yeah, just like that. And on soundShawn Lewis, social awkward damn dog, goodengineersfrom P E to the.And talking about gee, we got the Xtrordinair showrunner. Yay. Ordinary show runner run. The extraordinary show. Yes, what's up boy. What's up fellas. Oh man. When they say that's an extraordinary show because we had shorts on, he was touching the shit in the turns extraordinary. Cause that's true. Tell us the secret to your magic.Yes. It's just, you know, being a 85 year old man trapped in a 40 year old body. Uh, that's my secret man. The wisdom, the wisdom, the wisdom of ancient wisdom bang and with some more wisdom for you. Yeah. It'sAli on the visuals. You already know, know what time it is. All right. You guys, you heard it? Yup. Oh man, that pumps me up more than anything else in the entire world, just yelling. I was trying to come inside to the studio, get out of it. I got away from the dumpster and we got to go inside. Then you cut to here. You already dealt with the avid is Allie. It's your boy. It's your boy. I lik I just make demands, right. Cosmic. Right. Hey, tell us what's coming up in the, in the fashion weeks. What's on the, you're not, are you tell us, get predict, please predict I just released here. What I've done or like, no, no, no. You're a fashion Maven.Obviously the dreads prove that. And tell us, sir, please. If you will, where is fashion going in the next year? Digital everything is going cyber. So you gotta get on the way before it's too late. A lot of things are changing and, and IMTS and all sorts of block chains are really going crazy right now with the web three. So you just gotta take advantage of the tools that. Right now. All right. All right. So Hey, blockchains are going crazy. Real insight. Good. Going crazy. Speaking of, uh, new technologies and digital and all this fucking shit, that's coming down upon us while we're still in a social coma from COVID. One thing I've been thinking about is new music, new music, new music. It's fun. There's only a few people making good music. When you say that, Sean, I would say that I, as a matter of fact, it's funny, you mentioned it. Well, I'm glad I was glad, I'm glad you asked. So I'm reading the Atlantic today, this morning at like 4:45 AM. And, uh, I was looking at this article. It said that, um, 70% of all the U S music market is old shit like catalog.Right. Like, no one is listening to new music. How many artists have sold their fucking complete portfolio? I just saw that. What was it? Uh, some Bob Dylan, Bob Dylan, Bob Dylan. His whole fucking for how much? I don't know. Look it up. Look it up. Look it up. Uh, I've heard about Neil young, all a Spotify thing with them.Well, wait, let's go back. Okay. Let's go back to Sean's thing and then we'll pick up on the BA uh, Neil young. Go ahead, Sean. So nobody's listening to new music. Nobody. Yeah. This is why I'm always saying that. Fuck nostalgia. I'm sick of fucking the scholarship because it's killing us. But go ahead. Why? So let me read this quote. It says 200 most popular new tracks now regularly account for less than 5% of total streaming. Wow. Dang, believe that. Think about that top 200 shots that the top two new only account for 5% of total streams, that means it's virtually not penetrating anything, right? That means it's not doing anything. It's also because it's mostly. No, I'm not interested in looking at it. Right. Look at people ain't even interested in going there to listen to it. Okay. Just, I did just look this up. Bob Dylan's catalogs sold between two 50 and 300. 200, 2 50, 300 mil cash out for Bob Dylan on his fucking, all of his. And I guarantee you when that dude was down in the fucking village and he was fucking drinking coffee and doing Coke and all the other shit he was doing, he did not think in a million years that his body of work was going to wind up selling for 250 mil.I gotta be honest as much as that is, it seems low. Bob, Bob, Bob, doing as my point of view, is that like, if you're an artist nearing like sort of the end of your life, I mean, basically he's got retirement. Yeah. Why not? Cash? We just talked about just that cashed out on ESPN, on the games. Um, the, uh, um, football.Who cashed out EA sports gave fucking what's his name? Two 50, right? Same. Right. That was a cash out for sure. Right. Right. And I don't think that guy, when he was fucking a PE teacher ever thought his name. Would sell for two and is the type of thinking, and we're not going to get lost on that track, but that's the type of thinking where, when he's talking about blockchains and all this shit that you have no idea, right?Oh, that's going to be even, but the boss, Bruce Springsteen. Yeah. Five 50 for his catalog. That's more for Bruce Springsteen. Did that, dude. I mean, think about some of the iconic music that, that, listen, I'm not saying we're fans necessarily, but I'm just saying, if you think about middle America born in the USA, for sure. But also like on, when I lived in New York, like you always heard Bruce Springsteen on the radio and you always heard, uh, piano fucker. Oh my God. What the fuck? What the fuck is this? And he got fat. Oh my God. Billy Joel. Yeah, it's constant airplay on the radio has used them though. The people that are paying out these huge catalog fees, right?Yeah. Group that decides we're going to give Bruce Springsteen five 50. We're going to give Dylan two 50 upfront. Yeah. These companies to make an investment like that. They have to already know they're going to make a hundred times that off of the investment. I mean, what is a hundred times. Five 250 million, right?25 billion. So these groups are making investments of that size on that, like, to be able to deal out 250 million, right. They get what I'm saying. Like if they're pack these guys understand digitally, what's going to happen with that. And when they own it and every way they can squeeze it out and make a hundred times that do both those guys abuse, that will literally last forever.Forever, but yeah, but, but, but so going back to this and you know what, actually, Darren Craig talked to me about this, it's kind of, and he said, it's tripping me out. But what he's seen is is that a lot of major pieces of catalog from publishing houses, studios, and legacy celebrities are being purchased for enormous sums upfront money.Right. And he, he doesn't understand yet, but he thinks. There's something that everyone in tech has predicted that is going to mean that these things are going to be worth 10 times. That for some reason, well, now they are. What do you mean? Everyone starts listening to old music. I mean, these are worth way more than you would think they're worth, right? If we're not creating any new legacy of this, then we're going to have to lean on these old catalog. For the Mo the majority of our listening. Sure. Which means that, you know, investing, you know, 300 million into something isn't really all that big of an impact. Check this out. Stevie Nicks made a deal for a reported hundred million dollars with primary wave for her portion of publishing rights to some of her biggest hits of this means that the portion that listen her. That means that the studio or the producer who recorded it, whoever owns the masters, all that shit probably still has their piece. Uh, and it's only for like edge of 17 in landslide right now. Dog face. Yeah. He must've made that shit. Oh my God. So, so, so, so sit back for a second. Just think about this.Cause these guys are playing like four D chess. I hate that fucking term, but anyway, right. So I guarantee you that when you see some virus viral things and you go like, how come dog face? How did that, like, why did that blow up the way that it did? And it occurred with that music right to fucking Fleetwood Mac.How did that blow up? And then also at some point we're learning that Stevie Nicks is selling catalogs and it's adding to the nostalgia and updating the nostalgia. I guarantee you there's a connection there. Ah, dude, there's gotta be people playing everybody that they're, they're floating out and, and they're squeezing off new artist.Yeah, well, but artists are talking about that though. What do you mean artists are talking about how they can't get in and play. We got to pay to play, right? And they don't make these deals. They're not getting any of the streams where every that's been going on. Right. So look at it this way. If you're able to circulate in nostalgic track, you're able to extract more money out of one song and you don't have to deal with the artists. They're bullshit. The fucking whatever they're lawyers, they're Coke, they're bitches they're. You don't have to deal with none of that. You don't have to figure out how to pay the fucking writer and the blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. You just take that one track. And if you can create a value in these nostalgic hits and you close off the new.You got way more control. It's a similar thing that's happening in film and television. One of the driving forces of animation and CGI is that please, dear God, please. There's some producer, right? Some PFAFFA producer would say fucking, just oily packages lined with gold. He's just make money, hand over fist. The one thing that sticks in his fucking cry is that he can't control Jack Nichols. Because the guy's a fucking star and he's got to pay Tom cruise prices. And who knows, if he's going to go off the rails, quit the production, hold it all up, all that bullshit. Right. But you got to deal with when you're dealing with a mega fucking blue chip star, that's a human being. The minute you can turn him into a cartoon, that's real enough that it looks real. He's never gonna be. He's never going to fucking join a union. He's never going to develop a weird Coke habit animate me. So let's, and let's, let's create this. Metaverse create movies without having to pay any humans. And we can fucking control costs like a motherfucker. And that's what's happening with music in nostalgia, in an audio version, freezing an artist. What they already created. And trying to milk the fuck out of that. So here's the next gig, if you want, if you want to ensure your legacy as a paid actor, start getting into voiceovers. Yeah. That's right. Start working on your, uh, You're imitation game. That's why my boy I'm telling you, he works a lot, bro. Silly putty, silly kid. Yeah. He works a lot, man. And, and uh, you know, makes decent coin doing it to decent Wayne. Hey, what? So, so the, so that's what I think, podcasts. This is what I've been trying to kind of flow out there is that right now it's a flood.Oh, yeah. So like, if you can build up the world and the characters and the, and the interpersonal dynamics and a following, and that the dah on a podcast situation, you are creating those audio gigs that you're talking about. What else. Okay. But, okay. So, so we got to that. So go on with the new music. What else is there to explore on this topic?I mean, there really isn't, I mean, it's just that like your numbers, that you were always tripping off those numbers. I was, uh, I was sort of at a crisis myself about, you know, I read some YouTube comment. Just like, you know, everybody chips off the, you know, why not trip off some YouTube comments? There was a comment on one of our, our videos. And it was saying that the, the interest too long. Yeah. Somebody said it's a waste of time. S 8 1 8. Yeah. And he said, and the intro's a waste of time. But then again, bro, I've heard other people say that they look forward to the intro cause they don't know half of the tracks that we're throwing up. And I know for me, like if I listened to a podcast, I kind of skipped the intro. It's like the same old shit. And I guess in a sense. What you're saying is right. Some people listen because they want to see what playing or whatever. Cause yeah, you're right. I didn't even think about that. I do the same fucking thing on podcasts. I listened to. I skip our own shit all through it. Yeah, yeah, yeah.Yeah. But that's the type of people we are. Well, that's, that'd be where and the other thing I want you guys to remember is to just keep in mind. A lot of us amongst each other have commented about how sometimes the show just starts. And there's nothing, all of a sudden you're in the middle of a conversation.Right. We've all kind of weighed in and said, we liked that. And we play with that. Yeah. I personally, when we were rolling right into a conversation, I love that. I mean, I'm attached to it. Yeah. Introduction, because that's how we've been branded branded. And that's kind of what we were showing is you do an introduction. So I don't, but I think we keep them guessing, well, we live in a that's true, but we live in a society right now where intros are deemphasized. And think about this time they want, think about, think about this in shows, used to be for moot television shows. They used to be formerly. Right. They used to be, there was a guy, Mike post, Sean who's Mike postHe's a, I mean, he's a record producer, but he's also a composer and he did a bunch, bunch of, uh, interest for me was basically, yeah. Television shows. Right. And so like, you used to fuck you. Back in the day, like you would come on and watch small wonder, and it'd be like a whole fucking intro. Everybody trying to eat a sandwich or a taxi.Listen to that depressing music on the east coast facts alive. Right? You take a book, you take a bag and all that. The facts of math, right? That'sright. But now in the age of being. And, but, and also remember there were credits during that, so you'd know like, oh, okay. Who the stars are. There was no fast forward though. There was no fast food. There was no, you know what I mean? I've seen that game, bro, like, right. Nobody would ever watch that shit so different, bro. Now, when I do a show like a binge watching a show, I skip intro. They give you a button that says. I was one of the first one, and then I write it out. I'd skip it. I remember Narcos skipping all that shit, but because it's the same every fucking time. Well, ours isn't if you're concerned. Ah, but listen, if you're consuming on a, on a what'd I binge watch, right?Yeah. You don't want to be watching the fucking intro all that time. I think we, I know something, I don't, ain't going to say it, but you said enough with that. Right. Right. And you know what, and you know what, I'll tell you something else, man. I mean, the other piece of this that I'm looking at is, you know, you can't put art out there. You can put art out there without having critics that like one piece and don't like another piece. Right. And it, the game, you know, I'm not a mass appeal kind of guy. That's not my strong suit that Steve, your strong suit is that you do understand, we had that talk about. Uh, Mount w uh, Westmore Westmore, and that collaboration between Snoop and fucking 40 and all that shit.Right. And you understand mass appeal and all that stuff. So on a certain level, you know, I don't think media is necessarily set up for mass appeal like that, unless they're trying to create this nostalgia thing, you know, or they're trying to, they're trying to chum the water. Right for this like other stuff. And I think that, um, this is a jumping off point. This shows a jumping off point. I don't think that this show has an end into itself. I don't either, uh, listeners Ben and whoever's listening right now to the show. If you can draw. Yeah, you can draw, you need to reach out. At get, you know what? Just get it, the show.Get it. Hard luck. Uh, luck show@gmaildotcomhluckshowatgmail.com and you know what? I'm looking for some help with some artists, Hey, and send in some silly. Um, I'm telling everybody you want to email anything. You can take a picture of your fucking balls. You can fucking get, Hey, come on. What do you mean? I don't want boss. He's got to read the email you don't want. And you know what though? Go ahead and should have, well, I would love to do a Q and a show if we get listeners sending in questions. Yeah. And where's the phone thing we're supposed to be able to start calling. Yeah, Schwartz that goes on the, on the, on, listen, this is what I'm saying.Look, you don't want balls. I want balls. Okay. Send the ball. But what I'm trying to say is right there, Sean, I want both, you forward all genitalia to you behind. Yeah. Attention to Mohan on the fucking email contains balls. Yeah. Questions and anything, any your silly shit, you little silly fucks out that are out there listening. And you got something funny to say you're out. You see any fucking parking lot lizards that you're flying Jang clearly wrong around trying to cycle zombies. Yeah, exactly. All the weird shit you come in. Hey, you get a little snippet video of you talking to the homeless or talking to a city council person.I don't give a fuck what it is. It might make it onto the show. It might be part of the discussion, but start flooding the inbox with crazy silly shit from. And I don't want you to put any filters on it. I know. All right. I don't want any motherfucking filters, cause this is an unfiltered show. Send it in and it might make it onto the fucking show.I want to hear it. See, it was a fucking hate me. Oh, you right there. I see you. Like, I want you to send me that, that one person, that fucking was trying to get me off the show since we fucking started you. I'm talking to you. You fuck you little fuck. That was one of those math bub, PCP, Barbara, speaking of PCP, bubbles. Uh, Schwartz or me and Schwartz told me that he had like a small conversation with Diablo, big deal. I did man. Shout out to Diablo. Um, yeah. And he was, uh, he was definitely on a creative tip that night.Creating some new tracks and wanting to share him with me. And we talked about, talked about all kinds of shit, man talks about religion, talked about, you know, what did you guys talk about religion? What was because we were texting back and forth and all of a sudden, like he kept on saying like Schwartz is Schwartz. And he's like, you know, I don't know if you're Jewish, but you are. And, and, and, you know, and he started talking about like his experience in prison. Um, you know, Jewish food and then actually go into services and different things like that. Didn't sound like he was a candidate for conversion. No, but he even shared with me that he did sing shallow Malem, which was pretty funny. Why is that funny? No, it was just interesting. You don't want, what does that mean? It's a song. It's a song that song every, a Chavez every Saturday. But when you, what is it? What's the name of the dude? I gotta tell you, I can read Hebrew perfectly and sing it, but I just don't know what it means.Unfortunately, I know Shalom is peace. Shalom Aleichem Shalom. I left my son. Good. Vincent could break it down. Unfortunately, man, I can't sing it. Sing it right now. Come on bro. Do it. Let's let's do this. You can't do no, no, no, exactly. Yeah, but it's not yet, but we're connected to my no, no, you didn't do anything. What about, is there some, is there a prayer on site? Go ahead.which one is, uh, I don't know. I mean, I can get any of it, right? Come on. I'm going to break bread with somebody, you know, you sayor it's mascot fucking, now you can eat the holla. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Give me, give us a couple. There was another one. That's it. I don't know. Yeah. Anyways, so bang back. How long my conversation with Diablo, he was sharing PC, bubbles. He tie, he talked about even share me stories about a woman that his mother worked for, that they were close with. And, um, Yeah, it was really weird. You out and be real, man. Does it weird you out? And we're not saying Diablo is up to anything cause he's not. Cause he's probably honestly trying to ask you about our share or like bond with you about it, but does it ever weird you out that. Does it ever weird you out that, uh, when someone tries to do the Jewish stuff with you and they're not Jewish, do you feel weird about what do you know?Cause there's, there's different. I, I will pick up on the temperature of it real initially. And if people have interests or like a genuine. You know, knowledge that they want to gain or share with me, I'm totally with it. If somebody is trying to do some clowning, shit's going to be a problem real quick.Right. But, but, but you are way more into the Jewish faith earlier on, right? For sure. Yeah. Well, I. But I'm pretty religious. So I went to like a Orthodox Hebrew school, even though I wasn't like Orthodox, but I did go and do that, which is why, like, it's funny because I've been in relationships before where they wanted to go to, like, what's, there's kind of Orthodox is like the highest of high I explained to Mr.And Mrs. Ear buds, who aren't at, what is the Orthodox. Orthodox specifically the, like the black hats, the long beards, um, the women with head coverings and long dresses, stuff like that. Um, you also have, which I have family in New York that are modern Orthodox, which. Do everything the same as those people who look and that's actually traditional, like old school Polish garb, like in Europe.Yeah. But that's like Eastern European. Right. Okay. So let me put, pinpoint real quick right here. Cause that's right. So my godfather, one of my other golfer, one godfathers, Lou Palmer Rico from new castle, Pennsylvania. The other one is Elliot shelter. From Los Angeles. Okay. Shelton, uh, listen, he's a real mench. This one. Here's your godfather. He's also my godfather. He was these two guys were law partners. I mean roommates with my dad when they were in law school together at Pepperdine, Elliot Shelton. Cause I asked him one time I go. Why? So there's all these different kinds of Jewish folks. Right? You got these refills.Which pretty much is like, they don't really do much of anything. They're there they're Jewish, but they're not getting, and then I'll ask them, I'm like, what's with the hats. Like I see some, then there's another group that got the black hats and the beards. He explained to me exactly what Schwartz said, which is that this is a style.Old days in Eastern Europe and there was a very influential or Abby or somebody and everybody just adopted that and just glommed on to that. Does that, does that comport? That's true. Okay. And so you were modern Orthodox, and what does that so modern means you follow all the same shit, but you live in the modern world. You look like you don't have. There's kind of work around, like one of the things where you see people with the long beards is you're not allowed. There's four different points on your head and your face where you're not allowed to actually touch a raiser, touch a blade to your skin. What? Yeah. So that's why, that's why you see there's one right here. That's why you'll see. They have like longer, uh, sideburns a little bit. And what's the reasoning behind not touching a razor to the four points on your face. Right? Embarrassed to say, I don't remember, but, um, there are re but so like the modern Orthodox guys will use like electric razors, right? Because it typically the razors not touch.Correct. This is one of the things I love about the Jewish faith is that they have. So they have these rules where you're like, what the fuck? I don't know, that's around it. That they all share. Somebody came up, right. Somebody came up as a way to observe it and then work around it. Right. And you can kind of see where that would encourage you to.Right. Yes, you're absolutely. Right. Right. So it's, so it's, there's different levels. So you have that and below that you have like, what's called conservative, which is kind of conservative. It's it's weird. So you have conservative, then you have like reformed, which is like the lowest level of rules. If you, and.You know, like in an Orthodox temple, like the men and women are separated. Right. Um, you don't sit together. You'll never see a woman up, like at what's called the Bema, which is like where you, they bring the tore out and put it in, do the read. You'll never see a woman touch that you'll know. It's very, so like my, my wife, Megan, you said right.Dude. I won't even see him looking at that year. Me dude, I had a guy that I went to law school with Dan clench, your fist and relax. Nah, dude, I'm telling you, bro, you're never going to fucking see a woman if she's menstruating. She not even entering the building like that. I think that that kind of has something to do with it, but also like, dude, it's funny when early on.Megan. And I were like going to my family stuff like back in New York and that shit would piss her off, bro. Like, oh, it's sexist or all that, you know, but just the whole separation. No, Megan definitely loves God, the whole separation of the men and the women. But then you go to a conservative and it's first of all, at an Orthodox synagogue, it's all Hebrew.Like there's no heat, there's no English reading. You go to a conservative temple. It fucks me up, bro. Like all these songs have a certain rhythm and shit like that and you'll see them up there. Men or women and women wear fucking yamikas and shit. And where tallest is, it's real true. Like a yamaka Keepa, not like a, just only in shool.Like I didn't really like in shool is temple. Yeah. And anyways, so it would fuck me up though, because like somebody would be up there and they'd be singing. These readings in the same rhythm and tone, but in English up there. And it would just really like, fuck me up. I kinda like to go in, do my shit.Unfortunately it takes away a little bit of the. The meaning. Cause it's not like, you know, in English you get to understand a bit more obviously, right? It's like opera, it's like opera sometimes in opera, you hear the Italian, it sounds great. You don't really know what the fuck they're saying, but that's kind of part of it.And then sometimes they'll sing it in English and you're like lemonade and it kind of changes the nature of it. There's no mystical aspects. Yeah. So anyways, so that's, it's a different setup, but no. So we were talking about, he was sharing with me, his experiences. Um, Sharon, some new music with me and he's coming on.Uh, next week, actually, we're going to have him on and he's excited to come in and bring some new shit that he has been working on. Um, and we're hoping to connect the week before, if not, we're going to do it soon after the conversation. It was about an hour. Okay. And were you actually on the phone with the device to your ear?Uh, no. I had headphones. And so you will walk around talking to the Abla for, I smoked maybe like half a pack of smokes, like just kind of out there and towards the end, Megan, and texted me a few times. And I was like, Hey, I gotta, I gotta jump. And definitely, I think I listened to like four or five more tracks after that.Is there anything hard at now? Listen, no disrespect to the, but is there anything harder than listen to your friends tracks on the phone? Shawn, how many times have somebody been like, Hey, I want to play so, and then they, and then they played their phone right next to. Do you love that? I hate it. Yeah, it actually, I gotta be honest with you.It wasn't bad cause I, it wouldn't, it didn't sound shitty. It actually sounded pretty good. Um, like the sound quality and the music was good. Um, so it wasn't that bad. Um, but it was cool, man. It was a real, like we had actually been kind of playing phone and text tag and shit and, um, and fucking snapping each other with towels in the gym.Amen. So, no, but, uh, and it was good to finally get. Right on forward to doing some stuff with a man Mr. Diablo, his neighborhood, man. It's funny is that, and we're going to talk about that later, um, with Mr. D and you'll see why we're going to talk about it. But when you brought up the thing about somebody is like, yeah, my mom or my parent used to work for like sure.I'm going to check the temperature quick. And I've had a couple people try and make a Jewish joke in front of me and it went south. I told you about that and me and left key in the joint they call the fucking dudes with Roger gets a bit. Well, yeah, they'd be all loving and happy and never. And I got this.I didn't even, I didn't even know what it meant. They'd be Shaloma these dudes might be breaching it off Hitler. And one time, as soon as I walked by, they're like, oh, I got, I was young. You know, I don't even, and they have all, you know what I'm saying? Like, it's funny, bro. And, you know, I've had a couple of people through my life, do some shit, like make a mistake and say something like, why are you being so Jewish over there with that?Or, you know, something like that when I drew them down. Right dude. And I'll be like, I won't even, I won't even need to say anything upset, go, you know, I'm part Jewish and I'll, and, and they start, I came in and shut up after that winter. Oh, bro. I didn't, you know, I, some I did,but best friends now, uh, that, that was, that was, but it's. Um, 90% of the time people talk to me and I tell them they, some of the best stories bro, they've told me about. And we're going to talk about Mr. Duke is Jeffrey was one of them that it's like, and that's so many people, dude, my mom used to work for and they would invite us.And the, and here's the crazy thing about a lot of these stories. Listen to me, when I tell you this, these people that were telling me over and over again, we're not Jewish parents work for these people. Yeah. Over and over again, these people were telling me about what these, their parents, who they worked for did for them. They took all. I got to go to the theater and see this, I got this. I got that. I'm like, well, nigga, yeah, they helped like these, these Jewish people had really influenced these people's lives for their parents working for them. I was hearing stories that didn't what a boss doesn't usually do. Do you get what I'm saying?Yeah. Or a story after story? Oh, I was given these books. I was given this, I was showing that as a man and. It's and I experienced that through my own family. And I've seen that around dude. And like, people are quick to want to try and say some shit about Jews, you know, they are, and I've always experienced Jews, not being. The closed up, you can't get in. It's only us play. Maybe it's perceived like that, but I always see them making it a point to involve, put their hand out, observe respect other, other races and other things. And like, but, but, but let me ask you this question. I'd like to hear your guys' thoughts on this.Judaism. If you were to look at it from one angle is really. Yeah, right. And yet somehow it's evolved into almost quote unquote erase thing too. Yes. Ethnicity. Yeah. It's it's weird. And when I've talked to some Jewish friends, they are like, well, I don't, I actually am not Jewish because I'm not in the, and I'm like, yeah, but you're from Israel. And they're like, yeah, it doesn't matter. And a lot of those Israeli Jews tried to tell me that shit, but I don't buy into it. And so therefore I'm not Jewish, it's a religion and they get offended. If I say. Explain or say that other folks think of it more than a religion. I have that same thing. Cause people will be like, you're Jewish.I'm like, okay. But I don't practice Judaism. Right. I am Jewish by blood birth. I love it. These things are beautiful, but I don't follow Jewish faith. That's not my. Right, but you still here to them, but you still identify that there's a biological component for you as being Jewish. Absolutely. So, so I mean, it, it, it is a religion.I mean, I grew up all the time. People finding out that I was Jewish or, oh, you don't look Jewish. It's like, well, fuck. Like what is looking? You know, like, and then that's a weird discussion. Like what does a Jew look like? Because it is a religion now it's funny because a lot of people that do come from Israel. On on the large blue, more, less observant than like Jews and other countries, whether it be America or Eastern Europe, which y'all always, I found interesting. No, he's saying that folks that are from Israel tend to be a little less observant than people than Jewish folks that are living in other countries. But that would make sense because there's no doubt of their heritage because they actually come from the fucking country. So they don't need to prove it. Right. I'll hold on to anything. Right. Okay. Got it. So know that that's, it's an interesting discussion, but just to go back on the topic real quick, it was funny when Diablo said to me last night about his mom working for this family and kind of what they did and it was Jerry Heller, right? No, it threw me back, man, because growing. We had, you know, I didn't, I've made jokes. I'm not handy. And like growing up in my family, it was like, literally, if there was something wrong or something needed cleaning or something needed done, there was a person for that. And these. Would have kids. And so many times they would come with them.I befriended them. Our family took them to Dodger games or, or sports games, stuff like that. So when he's, he's telling me that from like the other side and it kind of tripped me out because, you know, I didn't, it's not like I kept in touch with any of these people. These were like, long-time people that work like throughout my childhood and growing up.And, um, so it was interesting to hear the other side of it. So like cooks and man. Yeah. I mean, why are we trying to dance around that? Yeah. I mean, why? Well, no, it's, it's it's whatever, it's not, yeah. It's cleaning people. Yeah. Maids. Okay. Yeah, because you know what, that's true, but I think that's true of, you know, because I've been reading, uh, lately I've been reading about African-Americans and I've been reading about world war II and African-Americans and preparation for black history. We're going to do a black history month show. It's not going to be, you know, following Carver or the peanut and any of that shit, but it is going to be about world war II heroes that are black, that were denied the medal of honor based on race when they were fighting fascism and Nazis. Now think about that, bro.Fucking disgusting to me. Think about that. Where gin and up support against racist Nazis. We want black Americans to help in the effort they do and go beyond the call of duty because they believe that once I deliver on this hero wisdom and S and N and sacrifice my fucking book. To the cause of freedom, they go right back to fucking America and they can't even drink at the same soda fountain or walk through the front door of an established Erika. She be ashamed. So in doing that, though, there was a culture of, uh, uh, house maids and cooks of which this hero that I'm talking about. And in that culture, I'm going to say this. They would become friends with the kids. And they would these even like these races, white families, and I think some part of having a class system where you got an owner or a master, if you want to call it that, and then you have house help, right there is already built into the system that we're going to treat you more like family than not.Because we're bringing you in and you're below your, you're below us economically, and you're going to carry the fucking shit. You're going to do the laundry and all this other stuff. And, and, and this is beyond race or whatever. So sometimes I think about like, okay, yeah, that's cool. Everybody that had the money to hire a man, they were cool because they talked to the kids and the maiden, all that other stuff. But there's a long tradition in the elites doing that to maintain the status quo. Does that make sense? Yeah. Do you hear what I'm saying about that show? I'm not saying necessarily that was Diablo his case, but I'm just saying, do you understand that? You're absolutely right, because I'm going to make nice, nice.So long as you stay where you're at and you don't fuck up my shit. Yeah. I don't know that that's everybody's intentions, but I understand what you're saying. Absolutely. There's a lot before that. Sure. There's a lot that's laid down before that happens. Right. Sure. And I understand that. But I also understand these stories are like, it's, it's weird.I hear these stories so often. I'm not, I'm not taking away from that. That's true. That there was great. Uh, business people or whoever they were that extended it like a welcoming, uh, embrace right. To people that were their employees. I'm not saying that. I'm just saying, I'm just saying that the America, not even the European system has in it.Cause that's what, well, that's where it came from. That's what down NAB. Like when y'all all these stupid fucks, watch this down NAB and they sit there and they fucking play with themselves and watch, you know, and all this old British bullshit. Right. It's all about looking at this great master and look at the lives and the servants and they, and they were nice and they really cared because they showed up and they helped that old Mae fix her leg.And then they sent her back to work, but it was cool and all that kind of stuff. Well, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. All that shit. Yeah. But what, your one thing that you're missing. That I think you're missing that Jews have always been persecute. They've always been oh, for sure. And I think Jewish people carry that with them and consciously I don't want consciously, they have that on their mind and they consciously want, I feel like most Jewish have that and out of either, either.Guilt or whatever they, they seem to want to extend themselves more and not carry that. I would agree with that. I agree with that. You're absolutely right. That makes total sense to me on that level. And that is a piece that I think should be added to the particular instance in which we're talking about, for sure, because there's no way you can be somebody who was Jewish faith living in.Before they add boats to bring over any other race that we're using the Jews. Not only that, but like I was reading about the Spanish inquisition. Right. It's funny Diablo. And I actually talked about that the other night. What did he say? Well, no, he, cause he was talking about how he explained, I guess there was in prison. He was talking with Jewish guys and there was certain, there was a slang term for pork and. It wasn't the actual name in Spanish for pork in these Jews, these Jewish guys in prison asked him not to use that term because it actually referred to a certain sect of. Um, in Spain where Jews are, are there, there's a, there's a lot of Jews in Spain and, you know, I said, I've done minimal reading on it, but that the whole Spanish inquisition, what I'm saying is talking about the Spanish inquisition and how literally the theory of Christopher Columbus and all those people on the ships were actually Jews that they had been basically sent off because of all the shit going down, but listen. So, all right. That's interesting. The thing is too, to piggyback off of. Right. Is that the Spanish inquisition, a lot of the Spanish acquisition was trying to fair it out through torture and violence, secret Jews, because there were laws back then that the Catholic Pope pushed that said, if you're Jewish, you got convert to Christianity. You can't be fucking around with it. We're not, we're not playing games. Right. And so then, and so then a lot of Jewish people, uh, And then probably as has true with a lot of different civilizations, maintain their true identity underneath, right. And the inquisition was designed to torture, fucks and find out who's a false.Trying to find the real quote-unquote Jews. So the issue there is, I can see where if you come from an experience or a heritage that suffered that, that when you're in the driver's seat, you might act different. You on it, you might act a little different. Yeah. You, you broke that down exactly how right? I didn't want to necessarily make it so that I didn't understand what you're saying. And, but I also didn't want to lose the piece that just economic structurally. There's also an element of that there. Sure. Absolutely. Right now, listen, I'm hearing a bunch of noise out there. Yeah, I think we got, I think we've got guests or Dean, his manager Jeffrey count. Do they want to shit? Oh God damn it.Jesus fucking Christ. Is it running down hill? Why? What happened? Just a little dribble, tiny little drip. What do you want to do? Cause I'm going to start. What are you going to start doing when these guys pull them in? I'll fucking fucking in the goddamn shit. Uh, yeah. Can we end this man? This shit all blew up. has got the Niners game on his mind. He can't even think straight. We haven't even gotten to talk about that. Yeah, we will. We will. This crazy fuck. Will look at his face. Look at that guys. Happier than I've ever seen. Wouldn't phase him. You can't break his, his spirit. There is no, no touch of you came into Starbucks loud. He was like, oh really? Yeah. He was like, oh, when you know, Sean's feeling good when he's like, oh, boop. And he starts poking you and shit like that, bro.Yeah. I'm like, ah, he's on one. Nah, fucking 900 high on the night when she talk about that. Cause it's LA and the Niners, but honestly I was rooting for the Niners last week, but for the sake of, for the sake of our sanity, I think the Niners should win so that we don't have to see Sean's bummed out face. I mean, I've never seen him more alive know miracle grow.Doesn't do this. What would be a really bummed out phases if they did win tomorrow and then they get crushed? No, no, no. Cause at least he'll be, he'll be able to say like they weren't even supposed to get to the he's already using it already. I know he's already, he's already trying to protect his feelings by being like, listen, the way I'm looking at it.They shouldn't even be here playing all the houses. Yeah. All that you did the last two weeks, it's been straight reverse psychology. Oh, he's like texting, like, oh, Packers are going to win. Yeah, they should have one. How did that happen in green bay loose? You know, they're, they're doing now, but you know, whatever, if they went fucking right on, I just want to know one thing he loved Jimmy G or not. No, I'm not a Jimmy G fan. That is by the way, the proper way to kill the animal on the altar to ask the gods to grant. You do that? It's a vocal version. He's not superstitious, but he hates Jimmy G and we're probably not going to win this.I don't hate him. I don't think he's the future. So funny dude, every night or fan is fucking saying that shit. They're like, oh, you should be happy with Jimmy. G's gotten you guys in NFC championship. Listen, the guy, the guy that sleeps in our studio when we come at six in the morning, right. I'm still getting blowback from one individual about my comments on Catholics the other day. He wrote this morning: Wow – it would take me months to respond to all of the Catholic/Pope bashing . . . I can't rewrite history – nor do I know the reason the pope didn't address the abortion issue with Biden and Pelosi . . . https://www.wordsfortheday.com/index.php/2021/11/catholic-blowback/

The Catholic Pope recently met with both Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden. Despite the Catholic church's teaching about abortion being an abomination, the Pope allowed them to keep receiving communion and according to them, the Pope told them they were good Catholics. He has since been slammed by many Catholic priests all over the world because no one is working harder to kill unborn children than these two. They have innocent blood on their hands, and it is an unholy sin of which neither has shown the slightest propensity for repentance. They should not be applauded for it, but that sin should be condemned . . . https://www.wordsfortheday.com/index.php/2021/11/is-the-pope-leaving-you-at-the-bus-station/

Bible Study with Jairus – Romans 12- A Discussion of Gifts Our discussion in Romans 12 begins with a focus on verse 3. This verse says, "For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned." A man asked me a question about this. He said, “What is the direct relationship between this verse and the previous verses? Why does Paul mention this here? What does it mean to think with ‘sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned'?” We must understand that the background of the book of Romans is the fierce conflict between the Jews and the Gentiles. This conflict caused all the Jews to leave Rome in the time of Claudius (Acts 18:2). At that time Priscilla and Aquila left Rome and traveled to Corinth. Corinth is where they met Paul, the apostle. Since all three of them were tentmakers by trade, Paul remained there and helped to build tents.   Perhaps it was prior to the time that Paul was burdened to write the Roman Church. He was also urged to write the book of Romans because he was determined to go to Jerusalem, and he was uncertain if he would leave Jerusalem alive and eventually visit Rome. Racial conflicts in society usually penetrate the church. Therefore, in our study of Romans, we have also mentioned that one of Paul's burdens was a hope that both the Jewish and Gentile believers of the Roman church could accept each other and live in peace. This may also help us understand Paul's words in the highlighted text. Paul is admonishing both Jewish and Gentile believers to see each other's strengths and not to think highly of themselves. Spiritual Gifts in the Body of Christ I shared that there are two great problems with Christians or churches. The first is that they think highly of their own gifts or callings but belittle the gifts and callings of others. Secondly, they look down upon their own gifts and callings but admire or even envy the gifts of others. First of all, this is true among individuals. Paul uses the different parts of the body as a metaphor in Romans 12:4-8. Each of us is a member of the body of Christ, and each of us has our own function. Both the mouth and tongue are parts of the body, but they have different functions. With regards to the function of speaking, they are both indispensable. But if the mouth thinks too highly of its gift and acts like it does not need the tongue's cooperation, it cannot speak alone. If the tongue feels that its work is less efficient than the mouth's, it may belittle itself, become envious of the mouth, and give up its function. Again, the mouth would not be able to speak. This is what “to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned” means. We need to know and understand the measure of faith, the calling, and the gifts that God has given us. First, we need to do our part. When we do our part, we can complement each other and accomplish God's work. From the body's perspective, it is important that the mouth does not attempt to control the tongue or likewise. To produce a cohesive outcome such as eating or talking, the two must agree to work together.  The same must also be done spiritually. Therefore, when Paul talked about us being different members of the body of Christ, he specifically mentioned that we use our gifts “according to the grace given to us.” Romans 12:6-8 lists these gifts and how we should use them: “if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness. When we are faithful to the talents and gifts that God has given us, God will multiply our gifts. For example, you may only have the gift of preaching at first. You have shared the gospel and people were saved so you are now an evangelist. As you begin to teach these newly saved believers the truths of the Bible, you gradually develop the gift of teaching. Because you need to shepherd them, you will also develop the gift of pastoring. When the number of people or even churches you lead increases, you will become an apostle. Of course, if you pursue the gift of prophecy, you might be an apostolic prophet. My Gifting Allow me to use a personal example to further explain. I left the Local Church Movement (LCM) in 2015 to study in the charismatic church. There I encountered many people with prophetic gifts. When they met me for the first time, many people said, “You have the gift of teaching. God has given you a gift in which once you understand a truth, you can express it in a language that others can understand.” Many people have prophesied to me like this. They have the gift of prophecy and I can confirm this because they do not know about my experience in the Local Church Movement. The LCM practices prophesying in the way of forth-telling [see note at the bottom] and PSRP (pray-reading, studying, reciting, and prophesying). It encourages every brother and sister to learn to speak for the Lord. Therefore, many brothers and sisters in the Local Church Movement have the gift of teaching. The Local Church Movement's position is that everyone prophesies. If speaking is not your natural talent, everyone will say amen and encourage you. Everyone dares to speak over time, and everyone is granted the opportunity to learn to speak. Everyone is afforded the opportunity to speak with boldness.  Since the church encourages everyone to study the Bible diligently, many people have the ability to teach to some extent. Everyone can speak boldly. In 2015, I had been attending meetings in the Local Church Movement for 13 years. My wife and I had been married for almost 10 years but we were infertile. Therefore, it was my hope to seek help from some brothers and sisters who were attentive to the voice of the Lord and could help us understand God's will. We needed direction on how to be healed. But no one could help me in the Local Church Movement.  Later, under the leading of the Holy Spirit, I visited some charismatic churches and met some Christians with prophetic gifts. They could see prophetic visions or receive miraculous revelations after praying. Some people even saw in their prophetic vision that we would have a child and shared that with us, which became our comfort in difficult times. Some of these prophetic words have yet to occur. But in general, there was indeed some hope and comfort for us at that time. Later, God also spoke personally to me. After this, we had our miracle baby! During the process, I realized that the gift of prophecy is real and that I was very eager to pursue it. I studied and completed the prophetic class offered by Randy Clark's Global Awakening. I continued to learn and practice. Gradually I was able to activate the gift of prophecy. Although the gift has been stirred up within me, it must mature. I have started to have many prophetic dreams and some prophetic visions. Although these gifts are very controversial for many Christians, my experience is real, and I did experience an increase in my measure of faith and in my gifts. Because the Local Church Movement does not acknowledge, understand, or teach the gift of prophecy (in the sense of foretelling), it was naturally impossible for me to learn or grow in the gift of prophecy in its meetings. Using your gifts is like exercising.  if you exercise a muscle often, this muscle will be naturally strong; but if you do not exercise or never use a certain muscle, this muscle will not be strong. The reason why the Local Church Movement does not teach the gifts of prophecy in terms of foretelling is based on the inaccuracies of many foretelling prophecies in the Pentecostal churches, including revivals or earthquakes that did not come as prophesied. This judgment is true, but the gift of prophecy was immature at that time when the leaders of the LCM made such conclusions. There have been more developments and progress since that time. But the Local Church Movement completely closed this door based on its bad experience from the past. As the saying goes, they “threw the baby out with the bathwater.” Another saying, “Misuse is not the excuse to not use," does a better job of explaining what they should have done. There are many misuses of gifts in the history of the Charismatic Movement, but the misuse of gifts is not an excuse for us to neglect gifts. The Local Church Movement does not advocate for or teach miraculous healing because they believe that pursuing miraculous healing will make believers pay less attention to spiritual life and growth. However, on the other hand, if our bodies cannot be healed, it would conversely limit the spiritual growth of believers. My own needs were not met in the Local Church Movement. Didn't this prove that I was missing something? My experience is unique to me, but common to the body of Christ. I shared my experience on YouTube and WeChat, and believers from the Local Church Movement in the United States and China wrote to me to affirm my experience. They also discussed with me how to get healed. Although the gift of healing is new to me, it is being developed so that God can use me to help others. After talking to others who share similar beliefs, we all agreed that the Local Church Movement does not teach or exercise the complete five-fold gifts as described in Ephesians 4:11-13. Therefore, in addition to the gift of prophecy, I also pursued the gift of healing. I went to New York to attend the healing meeting of Kenneth W. Hagin, the son of Kenneth E. Hagin, and asked him to pray for me to receive the gift of healing. After some hesitation, He said “This is entirely up to God.” He reluctantly prayed for me. However, I had a prophetic dream that night. In the prophetic dream, I saw Jesus telling me from a high place that He had given me the gift of healing. I said, “I didn't receive it.” Then the Lord said, “Raise your right hand.” I then raised my right hand. A current flowed through my hand. Then the Lord Jesus asked me to raise my right arm again. This time the heat current flowed through my entire arm. Later, many people with prophetic gifts said that God has bestowed on me the gift of healing to help me steadfastly pray for my wife. God healed my wife through my prayers which resulted in a miraculous pregnancy! Just as my prophetic gift is currently dormant, my gift of healing is also limited. In addition to my wife, I have prayed for many other people. Not many have received healing. However, when I look back on my experience over the past few years, my measure of faith and my gifts have indeed increased. Although there is still room for improvement, I have made progress. I am thankful to the Local Church Movement for its help of activating the gift of teaching and spiritual growth.  I also thank the charismatic church for helping me activate the gift of prophecy and the gift of healing. My gifts may be limited, but God's gifts are unlimited. We cannot think highly of the gifts of our teachers and belittle the gift of prophecy in other people (or vice versa). How Teaching and Prophecy Fit Together Rick Joyner, a well-known prophet in charismatic churches, compared the gift of teaching with the gift of prophecy, thinking that these two gifts need to balance each other. He said that prophets often receive revelation from God, but if there is no balance with the gift of teaching, they often are in danger of teaching heresy. For example, in history, "Mountainists" paid a lot of attention to the gift of prophecy. They declared that they had received special revelation. In the end, they taught wrong truths, which had a great impact on the misunderstanding of the gift of prophecy by Christianity in later generations. Another example is William Marrion Branham, who was a prominent figure in the healing and charismatic revival in the 1950s. He had a keen gift of prophecy. He could often tell the symptoms of patients and heal them. But in his later years, he taught heresy and wrong truths, even calling himself Elijah. Therefore, the gift of prophecy needs a balance of the gift of teaching so as not to go to extremes. The gift of teaching also needs the balance of the gift of prophecy. Many traditional churches only give importance to the gift of teaching. They deny, neglect, or belittle prophetic gifts. Gradually, teaching tends to become dogma. If the church lacks prophetic vision, it will gradually face spiritual death. This is the result of over-emphasizing the gift of teaching and neglecting the gift of prophecy. The Bible says that, “Where there is no prophetic vision the people cast off restraint.” (Proverbs 29:18). Many people may feel that “casting off restraints” here may be too serious, but the fact is that many churches are spiritually dead. The reason is that they have too much teaching. They lack fresh words from the Lord or fresh encounters with the Lord. It is not that we don't need the gift of teaching. But if we only value the gift of teaching, the situation that Solomon said will happen: "My son, beware of anything beyond these. Of making many books there is no end, and much study is a weariness of the flesh” (Ecclesiastes 12:12) This does not mean that we should not study, but that studying should be combined with experience. Prophetic visions and prophetic dreams are our subjective communication with the Lord. They belong to the category of prophetic experiences. They are to know the Lord through subjective experience. Meanwhile, reading the Bible and studying are to know the Lord in objective truth. They belong to the category of the gift of teaching. They are to know the Lord through knowledge. These two need to balance each other. We need both the knowledge of the Lord and experiences with the Lord. The Gifts In Practice After I left the Local Church Movement, I visited many churches. I observed that every church has a different assignment before God. Some churches focus on teaching the truth. Some churches focus on worship. Some focus on 24-hour prayer and worship. Some focus on fasting and prayer. Some focus on religious ceremonies. Some focus on saving the children's ministry. Some focus on caring for the poor, and so on and so forth. Every church and every denomination has a call from God. But the disagreement between churches is often because they regard God's call to themselves as God's most relevant call. Actually, this is not the case at all. We might reverence our own call as the most important, but it does not necessarily mean that what we are called to do is the most important thing to God. Because each of us has a limited energy, we can only focus on one thing. God has a titanic size workload.  Therefore, in God's eyes, different churches are different members of His body. They work together to accomplish His perfect plan. If we regard God's calling to us as God's entire work, or as God's most central work, and neglect to learn, understand, and cooperate with other people's callings and gifts, we will easily wither or become biased. Because we are different members of the body, those of us with the gift of teaching need to balance those with the gift of prophecy. Those who have the gift of prophecy need to balance those with the gift of teaching. If you pay attention to the situation of different churches, churches that value gifts but are not solid enough in God's Word are often prone to have wrong teachings on the truth or not have enough spiritual maturity. This type of church falls apart easily as they tend to be lukewarm, unrooted, and not disciplined. The churches that value the teachings of the Bible, but not the gift of prophecy, have a lot of knowledge, but without God's anointing and not exercising gifts at the appointed time, they tend to be confined to their ivory towers. Such churches often think they know the truth, but many of their teachings are full of tradition-based knowledge. Often, they are not strong enough in the operation of the Holy Spirit. They, along with their followers, often die and wither spiritually. Such churches are often prone to legalism. I just cited two gifts -the gift of teaching and gift of prophecy for comparison. There are other gifts that are also vitally important. For example, many churches do not attach importance to the work of deliverance ministry, which will gradually lead to many problems. There are controversies about the gift of apostleship and whether there are apostles in the church today. But I believe the apostolic ministry is still vital today. Due to time constraints, we will not discuss other gifts in detail here. Unity in the Body Therefore, in addition to individual Christians needing to admit that their faith and gifts are limited and thus need to be paired with those of other members of the body, churches must also admit this fact. Unity in the church is not conformity. In order to achieve unity in the church, the church must recognize the diversity in churches and their different callings before God. The unity in the church does not lie in any one method. It comes from a oneness in the understanding of the knowledge of God's truth. Let's consider the following example. In the early years, the Local Church Movement practiced gathering in Los Angeles in accordance with the locality's principles and on the basis of oneness. A group that advocated speaking in tongues had gathered with the Local Church Movement on the basis of oneness. But in the end, everyone had a different understanding of speaking in tongues. This caused a separation. Although the leader hoped that everyone would put aside their differences and attend meetings on the basis of oneness, they still could not be at peace with each other.  I left the Local Church Movement and went to the charismatic movement in 2015. After experiencing the baptism of the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues there, I realized that speaking in tongues is an important truth in the Bible, which is essential to a Christian's spiritual experience. Speaking in tongues is not what many people think, the smallest gift among the gifts. Speaking in tongues is a very important gift and a requirement for the growth of other spiritual gifts. Many people need to pass this requirement first before they can pursue more gifts, and even spiritual maturity (though speaking in tongues itself will not guarantee spiritual maturity). If used properly, speaking in tongues can help believers to obtain more maturity. There is a lot of controversy about this truth, but remember that Paul specifically asked the church not to forbid speaking in tongues (1 Corinthians 14:39). He said that he spoke in tongues more than anyone else (1 Corinthians 14:18). But many churches have actually forbidden speaking in tongues, which is inconsistent with Paul's teaching. I don't have time here to explain the truth about speaking in tongues. But for people who understand its importance, it is difficult to stop speaking in tongues. Speaking in tongues is a gift.  Although I don't need to speak in tongues in meetings, I know that people who don't speak in tongues lack knowledge of certain spiritual truths and spiritual experiences regarding tongues. I do not force others to speak in tongues, so others do not need to force me to quit praying privately in tongues. The difference in understanding of this basic truth caused the church to split into two major divisions. Who says that speaking in tongues is the smallest gift? If it is, why does the smallest gift cause the biggest split in Christianity? Does this make sense? It is evident that speaking in tongues is a very important truth. It is a truth and gift that the enemy strives to prevent Christians from knowing and practicing. The purpose is to prevent Christians from growing up in their spiritual life and receiving spiritual gifts to fight him. Of course, counterfeit tongues and the fleshy situation of Christians who are speaking in tongues have always existed, whether in the Corinthian church or the modern church. There are also many wrong teachings about speaking in tongues. For example, the statement that “speaking in tongues is necessary for salvation” is not in line with the Bible. This will cause the people who don't understand about speaking in tongues to stumble. But as we said earlier, “Misuse is not the excuse to not use.” In fact, this is another method used by the enemy to attack the truth about speaking in tongues to make people misunderstand it and to stigmatize it. When anything is stigmatized, it is often more important. Consider the example of speaking in tongues. I pointed out that the Pentecostal and Charismatic Movement, which is comprised of 600 to 700 million Christians, cannot be in oneness with other evangelical denominations which have around same number of people. This is because everyone's understanding of the truth is not in oneness, and everyone's lives are not mature enough. Under this premise, any method, including the basis of "oneness in our locality" (which may be a good method and in line with the Bible) won't bring people into oneness. The problem does not lie in the method but in us. Under these circumstances, if you insist on oneness, there will be two results. One is organizational unity, such as the Catholic Pope and the different levels of religious systems trying to maintain oneness. The other is trying to unite us in a coalition. But often you are friends only on the surface. Neither method can achieve true oneness. Andrew Murray said that the division between churches and denominations lies in the fact that they have not allowed themselves to be filled more with God's Holy Spirit. He gave the following example. He said it's like when the tide goes down, shoals appear one after another. Each shoal is like one denomination. There are fish in it. Everyone does their own thing there; they shepherd their own fish. The barriers of the shoals are like the barriers of the denominations. Only when the tide rises will all barriers be removed and will oneness be achieved. The true oneness is for the Holy Spirit and the Lord's glory to fill the earth. People's knowledge of the Lord fills the land as when the water fills the sea. Before this, no method can let us achieve oneness. I told the brother who asked this question that there is no need to pursue oneness just for the sake of pursuing it. Our oneness with the Lord is enough. Slowly, as the body of Christ grows in stature, a better understanding of the truth will slowly bring about oneness. Oneness is made by the Holy Spirit, not by us humans. Before that, learning to love one another is the most important. In conclusion, let us review the four sections of Romans 12, which sums things up well. The first section tells us to “present our bodies as a living sacrifice, which is our spiritual worship” (Romans 12:1). The second section tells us we should “be transformed by the renewal of our minds” (Romans 12:2). The third section tells each of us we should look at ourselves “according to the measure of faith God has assigned.” We should not think of ourselves more highly than we ought to think, and we must use our gifts alongside those of other believers. But at the same time, we must also yearn for an increase in the measure of faith and an increase in gifts. The fourth section is a reminder that there should be love in everything. Love one another with brotherly affection, love your enemies, and live in harmony with one other. (Romans 12:10, 14, 18) When we live out love, we live out oneness. Perhaps this was Paul's burden for the Jew and Gentile believers in the Roman Church.   Note on forth-telling: “Foretelling is the declaration of future events as revealed from the Lord, pertaining especially to the kingdom of God Forth-Telling is to utter forth, declare, a thing which can only be known by divine revelation; declare the divine will, to interpret the purposes of God, or to make known in any way the truth of God which is designed to influence people. It can only be uncovered and revealed through prophets.” Source: https://joycewaiwai.wordpress.com/2016/11/23/prophecy-foretelling-vs-forth-telling/

“Hope is a luxury we cannot afford losing.  Especially women, if we lose hope, we lose the future of our children.” – Huda Abu Arquob Born in Jerusalem to respected Palestinian scholars and educators, Huda Abu Arquob’s great-grandfather was one of the many Muslim Palestinians who took in and protected Jewish residents of Hebron during the 1929 massacre. “That story has not been properly documented,” Huda says, “perhaps because it challenges the simplistic narrative of Palestinians and Israelis fighting for 3,000 years. I’ve felt throughout my life that is it important to challenge these false narratives and to try and change the way we look at the ‘Other’.” And that’s precisely what she’s now doing as an adult. Based in Hebron, Huda Abu Arquob is the Regional Director of the Alliance for Middle East Peace (ALLMEP), a coalition and network of more than 130 civil society organizations working in Palestine and in Israel on conflict transformation, peacebuilding and nonviolent direct actions. She is also a recognized leader in grassroots initiatives focused on Feminist Inclusive Political Activism (FIPA), and an advocate of UN 1325 seeking to increase women participation in decision making levels in Palestine and Israel. In 2017, Huda received the first-ever Laudato Si’ Award from the Catholic Pope in the Vatican for her lifelong commitment to peacebuilding and conflict transformation. A teacher turned peacebuilder, she believes that the world has a wrong perception of Palestinians as an inherently violent, militant people and that this stereotype needs to change. “Palestinians are not violent by nature,” she says. “Most of us are determined to work together and we are determined to live together with Israelis. We’re the majority but we aren’t reported about in the media." While she admits that "not all Palestinians are eager to see the humanity in Israelis,” she insists that many grassroots organizations are using “the power of nonviolent resistance to regain our humanity. If we are a people fighting for our rights we should not in the process lose our humanity.” For Huda, a sustainable peace solution to the current Israel-Palestine conflict lies not with political leadership at the top, but with internal people-to-people dialogues, particularly among women. Her life work revolves around building strong grassroots Israeli-Palestinian relationships as a foundation for lasting peace. But she learned early on that simply fostering contact among people alone, without more collective healing work and social change education, does not transform conflict. A Fulbright scholarship brought Huda to U.S. in the early 2000s, where she did a graduate degree in conflict transformation and peace studies. While living in the U.S., she teamed up with a Jewish man to form Abraham’s Vision, a San Francisco-based nonprofit that brought together Palestinian and Jewish university students in comparative conflict analysis for a summer of experiential learning, including a four-week visit to the conflict-ridden former Yugoslavia. “Unlike some programs that mix Israelis and Palestinian young people, we don’t believe that just having contact with each other is transformative—we don’t sweep our differences under the rug,” said Huda of the approach she and her co-founder took at Abraham’s Vision. “We believe it is important to understand social-identity and power dynamics of people in conflict. We put a huge amount of effort into healing collective and individual traumas before we position people to work together to resolve their conflicts.” Upon returning to Palestine, Huda began to forge connections between Jewish and Palestinian people. Her goal is to tear down stereotypes and create a new language and imagination of new possibilities based on "sincere curiosity that strives to reveal what we share and what is possible." According to Huda, women, in particular, have a unique contribution to make in the peacebuilding process. "Women don’t have the ego-centric proposition for peace," she has said. Unlike some narrow-minded politicians, women “put their eyes on the goal and not competition." Reflecting on life amid a longstanding and violent conflict, Huda says, “I refuse to be either an enemy or a victim. The helplessness that comes from feeling yourself to be a victim is paralysing but it was not in the nature of the women I grew up with; they were always fighting, adapting and progressing.” Huda is the oldest of twelve children, and an aunt to twenty-eight (and counting!) nieces and nephews. Now residing in Hebron, she lived for eight years in the U.S. and has traveled extensively in Europe and the Middle East. PART 3: In the book of Revelation, chapter 13, we learned that one of the seven heads on the SEA Beast was wounded and appeared to be healed. Since each of the SEA Beast’s seven heads had a blasphemous name, this indicates that all the heads are of a religious nature. As we continue our investigation into determining who the SEA beast from Rev 13:1 is we are going to look into the prophecy in Daniel 7. In Daniel 7 we learn that the awful beast in that prophecy known as the Pagan Roman Empire was broken up into 10 European countries in 476 AD. There arose amongst those 10 countries a little horn power. This little horn power turns out to be the Catholic Church headed by the Pope. The Catholic Church held power over Europe for over 1,260 years [the Dark Ages]. Three of the ten countries that were set up after the Pagan Roman Empire was destroyed were uprooted and destroyed by the Roman Catholic Church. During the dark ages, The Catholic Church held many inquisitions throughout Europe. As a result of these inquisitions many Christians were martyred for their faith. In Daniel 7 we learn that the saints “shall be given into his hand” for 1,260 years. We learn in Daniel seven that at the end of the 1,260 years, God the Father in heaven intervened in favor of the Saints. The Catholic Pope was arrested and put in jail thus breaking the Catholic Church’s stranglehold over Europe. So, we have learned that the ‘HEAD’ in Revelation 13:1, that was wounded is actually the Pope. We have also learned that in 1929 The Catholic Church was granted an ‘Independent State’ from Italy. While this doesn't grant the Catholic Church the honor and privilege and power that it had during the dark ages it is a step in healing it’s wound that was inflicted in 1798.

The Borgias were a noble family from the years of the renaissance. Although hailing originally from Spain, they rose to great power in Italy and more than one Borgia became a Catholic Pope. However, despite entrenching themselves in religion, they were known for caring little about morality. They made enemies with many powerful noble families, and have been accused of nearly every depravity you can imagine.

Anne Boleyn lost her head. Everyone knows that. Little else is known about the infamously short-lived second wife of King Henry VIII. Largely because her husband all but erased her memory from the history books, scraping her name from all monuments, burning her pictures, making it a crime to speak her name aloud—all of which, of course, came after he had her head chopped off. In Howard Brenton’s perceptive and audacious comedy-drama ‘Anne Boleyn’—running through May 7th at Marin Theatre Company in Mill Valley—the award-winning author indulges his own meticulously researched speculations about ‘Anne Boleyn’s’ life, resulting in an intelligent, funny, and probably not all that historically accurate collision of sex, politics and religion. Directed with confidence and creativity by Jasson Minadakis, Brenton’s play fills in the missing bits of history with gutsy glee and a perceptive understanding of how politics and religion work. It’s fun, too.In the opening scene, Anne Boleyn’s ghost appears, bloody but unbowed, clutching a bag we assume contains her severed head. “You want to see it?” she asks the audience. You bet we do. What happens next, though, is a bit of a surprise, a good one, and it’s just the first of many in Brenton’s clever, intelligent tale of blood, sex, and faith, as Anne Boleyn returns from the dead to tell her side of the story. Bouncing between the16th century court of King Henry VIII and that of the 17th Century King James I (both played brilliantly by Craig Marker), the play eventually suggests that the world might not have ended up with the King James Bible, had not a deeply religious Boleyn strategically employed her sexual charms to force a break between her king and the Catholic Pope. Thus did one of history’s most notorious home-wreckers purposefully pave the way for the Protestant reformation—of which she was a kind to freelance secret agent—which was subsequently allowed to gain a foothold in a staunchly Catholic England. Unable to provide a male heir to the King, Boleyn’s machinations eventually make enough enemies that, well, her head’s removed. Oops. But not before giving birth to Elizabeth, who will eventually succeed her father on the throne, and will eventually be succeeded herself by James of Scotland. Did I mention there’s a lot of historical detail? In the King James parts of the story, having discovered Boleyn’s secretly hidden and thoroughly forbidden Protestant Bible, King James hits on a way to unify his fractured kingdom, by commissioning a new translation of the word of God, a Bible that will ultimately bear his own name. It’s a bit thick with information, yes, and there are a number of lengthy conversation about the meaning of variation scriptures, but Minadakis is masterful at keeping the story clipping along and not forgetting that, we the audience, want to see lots of sex and slinky stuff along with the bits about the Bible. As Anne, Liz Sklar is magnificent, playing so many spot-on emotional notes you’d think she was auditioning for the symphony instead of giving the performance of her career. Aided by a jaw dropping set by Nina Ball and era-blurring fashions by Ashley Holvick, the large cast, able and energetic, swaps costumes and characters almost as frequently as Henry swapped wives. ‘Anne Boleyn’ runs Tuesday–Sunday through May 8 at Marin Theatre Company. This Friday was the fourth time, since becoming pope of the Roman Catholic Church in 2005, that the leader of the PLO, Mahmoud Abbas has met Benedict. In May 2009 Benedict visited Israel, where he gave a large public relations boost for the Arab Palestinian cause and also called for the creation of a Palestinian state. The last pope, John Paul II, reached out to Arafat the leader of the PLO and supported him even when was still considered a terrorist in the 1980's. Arafat became a frequent visitor to the Vatican. The pope and Abbas meeting yesterday did not receive much media coverage and little was reported about it. The main point of the meeting was made quite clear however, by means of a statement issued after the meeting. The central theme was: "...the attainment of the Palestinian people’s legitimate aspirations for an independent State."
