In this illuminating conversation, William Linville redefines purpose beyond what you do—it's the unmistakable presence when "your heart is opening and expanding and expressing with ease and grace" signals alignment with your authentic path. The primary block? William explains how our minds create artificial barriers like comparing ourselves to others or the fear of what you have to give up stops you from moving toward your purpose. When you dissolve your blockages, your purpose becomes an undeniable inner power.Your presence itself is a purpose you can bring to any situation. The ultimate purpose is to embody your higher consciousness and allow it to guide your path.
Purpose. Do we have only one? Or maybe more? Does it change over time? Do we need to 'discover' our purpose under some mystical rock? Or perhaps it comes to us in a dream? Do we simply choose it, based on what matters to us? Like our values, beliefs and goals? Maybe it reveals itself to us with a subtle tap on the metaphoric shoulder? Or perhaps we have a significant experience or life event, and as a result, our purpose becomes clear? This episode is me (Harps), riffing on all of that. Enjoy.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

What if everything you thought you wanted left you feeling empty inside? Tyler Cerny, an international keynote speaker who travels globally teaching students, athletes, and professionals how to align with their God-given purpose, shares exactly this experience on today's profound episode.Tyler opens up about reaching what many would consider the pinnacle of success - financial prosperity, an enviable lifestyle, and great relationships - only to wake up one morning feeling completely hollow. This pivotal moment led him to a transformative realization: the Lord was in his life, but only when convenient. The difference between being interested versus committed to spiritual growth became the turning point that changed everything.Through powerful biblical insights, particularly John 15's metaphor of the vine and branches, Tyler explains how human effort combines with divine assistance in a beautiful partnership. Some days we show up at 70% capacity and God meets us the remaining 30%, while other times we barely manage 0.01% and need God to carry us 99.99% of the way. This balanced perspective acknowledges both our responsibility and limitations while offering tremendous hope. The conversation explores practical approaches to integrating faith into business, finding your unique purpose, and winning each day with intentional habits. Tyler breaks down the concept of purpose etymologically and practically, providing a framework anyone can apply: identify who you're serving, what problems you're solving, and how you're uniquely equipped to solve them. His insights on sacrifice, discipline, and the fruits of spiritual growth offer both challenge and encouragement for listeners at any stage of their journey.Whether you're questioning your path, seeking deeper meaning in your work, or simply curious about merging faith with everyday life, this conversation will inspire you to look beyond worldly measures of success toward something infinitely more fulfilling. Finding Your Purpose What if the path to wealth, happiness, and fulfillment isn't in doing more — but in feeling more? In this powerful episode of Richer Soul, Nate Ewert joins Rocky to share how he helps men break free from unconscious survival patterns and step into lives of true purpose and alignment. Through his work with Igniter Men's Group and Somatic Synergies, Nate bridges ancient wisdom, neuroscience, and trauma-informed healing practices to guide transformation from the inside out. Whether you're feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, or you're seeking deeper emotional freedom and clarity in life, this episode reveals the subtle, yet profound shifts that unlock authentic success — not just externally, but within. Key Takeaways: Healing Isn't a Luxury — It's Foundational. Nate emphasizes that unresolved trauma impacts your nervous system, your decisions, your relationships, and even how you handle money. Real transformation begins by learning to feel safe in your body. Masculinity Needs a Redefinition. Men are often conditioned to suppress emotion and “man up,” but Nate shows how true strength lies in vulnerability, community, and nervous system regulation. You Don't Need to Be Broken to Grow. Many of Nate's clients come to him not because they're falling apart, but because they know there's more. More purpose. More depth. More alignment. And they're ready to go deeper. Somatic Work Is the Missing Link. Talk therapy often stays in the head. Somatic healing helps release stored trauma and energy from the body — the place where transformation really begins. Money Learnings: Nate's early money story was shaped by scarcity and survival. He shares how financial lessons were limited to rules like "save 10%," but these didn't help when fear and nervous system dysregulation ran the show. Through deep inner work, he's transformed his relationship with money — from fear-driven to purpose-aligned. The big shift? Understanding that your nervous system must feel safe in order for wealth to grow and stay. About Nate Ewert: Nate Ewert is a trauma-informed somatic healer and founder of Igniter Men's Group and Somatic Synergies. With certifications in conscious breathwork, nervous system regulation, and deep emotional release, Nate creates sacred spaces for men to unlearn cultural conditioning and step into embodied leadership and authentic purpose. Key Discussion Points: Nate's “dark night of the soul” and how it sparked his healing journey. The difference between somatic healing and traditional talk therapy. Why regulating your nervous system is the foundation for a fulfilling life. How societal expectations around masculinity harm men's mental health. Tools to begin healing: breathwork, embodiment, emotional release. Nate's approach to building authentic community and sacred space for men. How trauma patterns influence how we earn, spend, and feel about money. Redefining success: from hustle to harmony. Conclusion: This episode is a call to stop doing and start feeling. Nate Ewert offers a rare, vulnerable, and deeply practical guide to healing, purpose, and aligned living. If you're a man feeling disconnected or driven by invisible forces… or if you're simply seeking more from life than performance and checklists, this is your wake-up call. Send us a textThe age-old question "What is my purpose?" does actually have an answer. Are you surprised? One reason it's been so difficult to find is because we're looking in the wrong place. As we have journeyed together, we have learned that it takes surrender and humility to live for God. These certainly aren't qualities that the culture magnifies. (This narrows down our search, for sure.) It means we won't be seeking and finding our purpose in the culture or ourselves. So, let's keep searching and pursuing God together. Send us a textWhat happens when you've checked all the boxes of success but still feel something's missing? James Walters, photographer, author, and host of "A Joyful Rebellion" podcast, joins us to explore the transformative power of creative risk-taking and authentic living.James shares his fascinating journey from commercial photographer (who initially used photography to escape math class) to wedding photographer capturing unpredictable moments, to helping others tell their brand stories. This evolution mirrors his philosophy on life—embracing change and finding fulfillment through creative expression and self-awareness.At the heart of our conversation is the concept of a "joyful rebellion," that pivotal moment when you realize external success markers aren't bringing internal fulfillment. James explains how many people diligently follow others' scripts—parents, teachers, society—only to discover they're not living their own story. The rebellion comes in reclaiming authorship of your life, sometimes through small adjustments and other times through complete reinvention.Perhaps most surprising is James's counterintuitive approach to creativity: making certain aspects of life intentionally "boring." By streamlining decisions about wardrobe, food, or other personally low-priority areas, we free mental energy for pursuits that genuinely matter. As James puts it, "Look for something in your life that you can make boring, repetitive, a no-brainer, and that leaves so much more space to put your energy into being creative."James also discusses his books—from "Accessory to Marriage" chronicling outrageous wedding photography stories to "Meditations of the Mundane," where he photographs and creates stories about everyday discarded objects. His current project aims to help children develop storytelling skills through photography.Listen now to discover why awareness is the essential first step to meaningful change and embrace James's powerful mantra: "Nothing changes if nothing changes." Your own joyful rebellion might be closer than you think.Want to be a guest on Living the Dream with Curveball?
