I greet you in Jesus' precious name! It is Monday morning, the 8th of December, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We go to the Gospel of John 10:4 and this is Jesus speaking. He says:”And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice.” I want to ask you a question this morning, I'm asking myself the same question. Do we know His voice? It is vital in these last days that you know the voice of the Good Shepherd because there are other shepherds who are not good and you can so easily be misled.I've just come back from visiting my great-grandson. I am now a great grandfather. He is a small little baby. He's one year old and he is still suckling from his mother's breast and I want to tell you, it is so wonderful for me and my wife Jill to see the communication that that little baby has with his mother. Why? Because he knows his mother's voice, and most of all because he spends all day with his mother. Jesus says that we must know His voice.The shepherds in the Middle East don't herd their sheep with sheep dogs as we do in the West. No, the sheep follow the shepherd, and how is that so because the shepherd spends all day long with his flock of sheep, because in the Middle East, they don't have fences to hold in sheep. We have fences in the west to hold in the sheep. We put them in the paddock and we leave them there and then when it's time for them to come out, we get our sheep dogs and they work very gently with the sheep, don't get me wrong. My son has got working dogs but in the Middle East they don't have fences so the shepherd is sitting under the tree with his sheep all day long like the Good Shepherd. It's because of spending time. I have seen where a number of shepherds will come down to a watering point on a hot, hot day with their respective flocks of sheep. Maybe five or six shepherds with six flocks of sheep and all the sheep are mixed up together. A nightmare for a shepherd in the west and they drink together and the shepherds sit under the tree and they talk to each other and when it's time to go they call their sheep, folks. It's a fact, and those sheep will leave the mixed up flock and they will follow their shepherd. Then the next shepherd will call his sheep and they'll move off in another direction because they know his voice.I want to encourage you to get to know the voice of God. You say, ”How?” by spending time with Him, by reading your Bible every morning, by praying and talking to Him every day, in the workplace, when you're travelling and by listening to Christian music and spending time with other Christians, you will hear the voice of God.Jesus bless you and have a wonderful day. We start in the Book of Numbers 6:22-26: “And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: “Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying, ‘This is the way you shall bless the children of Israel. Say to them:“The Lord bless you and keep you;The Lord make His face shine upon you,And be gracious to you;The Lord lift up His countenance upon you,And give you peace.” 'What a beautiful blessing from God, spoken by Aaron, the High Priest! Then we go to the Gospel of John 14:27. Jesus said: “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” What a beautiful blessing from the Master, Himself! Now, I remember many years ago, I don't know if this is true, it probably is, or just a legend, but when John, the last apostle, was a very old man they would bring him in to the different meetings and as he would walk in, the first thing he would say was, ”Little children, love one another.” And often they would say, “But John, you always say that when you come to visit us - the first thing you say, 'little children love one another'.” Then tears would fill his eyes and he would say, “Because that is what the Master used to say to us.” Yes, John was the last disciple, and he quoted Jesus.I want to say to you over this Christmas period, “Little children, love one another and bless each other in a world that has gone upside-down, where it is all about “me”, and “give me this!” and “give me that!” and “this is mine!” Just love one another. There is nothing more powerful in this world, especially in the family. When family come home, be patient with them and love them. I greet you in Jesus' precious name! It is Saturday morning, 6th December 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We start in the Book of Leviticus 6:13: “A fire shall always be burning on the altar; it shall never go out.” Now that fire was made in the tabernacle, which was the portable temple of the people of Israel. It was never, ever allowed to go out. As over a million people wandered through the wilderness, the tabernacle went with them and the cloud, but inside the tabernacle, there was a fire on the altar. That fire was never allowed to go out. The priests would carry it from place to place. Then we go to the Book of Jeremiah 23:29: “Is not My word like a fire?” says the Lord, “And like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?” Oh, my dear friend, this morning, remember as we approach the Christmas period, do not let the fire of the Holy Spirit go out in your life because of all the stress and all the running around. Keep the fire going! I was born in Central Africa and many times I've gone into the rural areas where there are not many people. Small groups of tribesmen - they don't have access to lighters and matches to start a new fire every day. They keep the embers glowing all the time. They choose a special wood which is extremely hard and they keep the fire smouldering. I've seen them moving from one place to another and they would carry a handful of red hot coals in a piece of bark, shaped into a container, and they would put those coals in there and when they got to their new campsite they would just blow on those coals, put some grass on top of the coals and the fire would just burst into new light. I want to say to you today, we must carry God's word with us wherever we go. We must take it with us in our hearts, hide it in our hearts. Keep the fire going. You say, ”There are certain places that I'm going to, I can't take God's word.” I want to suggest to you, maybe you don't need to go to those places. I greet you in Jesus' precious name! It is Wednesday morning, the 3rd of December, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We start in the Gospel of John 8:32: “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” What a beautiful promise from the Lord! The truth sets us free, but the lies of the devil enslave us. I want to speak particularly to young people this morning. It is so easy to tell a lie. There is no such thing as a white lie. A lie is an untruth, and it's from the devil himself. It's not from the Lord because what it does is, it enslaves you, it entangles you. You know what they say, tongue in cheek? They say if you are a liar, you have got to have a good memory because your lies will catch you out! You tell a lie, then you have to tell another lie on top of that, and then you have to remember the first lie, or you get caught out. Don't go there. Just tell the truth. The most important thing is to say, “I am sorry, I made a mistake. Please forgive me.” That person will normally forgive you straight away, but when you start telling lies, it just gets worse and worse.Now, Who is the truth? Well, I want to say to you, moms and dads, His name is Jesus Christ. He is truth. He is my best Friend. He is the one who set me free from telling any kind of lies. Now Pontius Pilate had Jesus standing in front of him, and he asked Jesus a question (in John 18:38). He said, “What is truth?” Now, you know he was looking right into the very face of truth itself. Jesus says if you tell the truth, you shall be made free, free from any accusation of the devil. The truth sets us free, and lies enslave us. Do you remember we used to wear those bracelets around our wrists with the letters, “WWJD” - what would Jesus do? Maybe we should put those on again because I want to tell you now, Jesus would always tell the truth. So when you go to school and you haven't done your homework, don't tell a lie when the teacher asks you. Just say, “I am very sorry I have not done my homework.” You will get punished, and then it is finished, but when you start making excuses and telling lies, you get into worse trouble.Today, ask Jesus to make you accountable for the truth. Whatever they ask you, tell them the truth. I want to say to that man, tell your wife the truth and you will be set free. I want to say to that lady, go to your husband and tell him the truth, and he will love you even more.Jesus bless you and have a wonderful day,Goodbye.

We go to the Book of Leviticus 5:16:”And he shall make restitution for the harm that he has done…” Then we go straight to the New Testament to the Book of Luke 19:8: ‘Then Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord, I give half of my goods to the poor; and if I have taken anything from anyone by false accusation, I restore fourfold.” Four hundred per cent! I want to say to you today, maybe there's something troubling you in your life. Maybe you've had an experience with the Lord, and you've got extreme joy and peace in your heart but there's something that is tugging at your conscience, and he is the accuser, he's the devil. He doesn't want to let you go, and every time you want to stand up for the Lord, he reminds you of some unfinished business from your previous life. I want to say to you today, sort it out, deal with it. Make restitution, pay back what you owe, go and apologise to the person you hurt, write a letter to that loved one and say, “Please forgive me for my part in the argument,” so you can be free indeed. Now you know my story, I've told you this story before. Many, many years ago, I came into South Africa with all the farming equipment that I could get out of the country. I came through customs, and I did not declare everything. Now that didn't bother me as an unbeliever, but once I gave my life to Christ, I started to feel guilty. That guilt does not come from the Lord, it comes from the devil, he's the accuser. Jesus is the one who convicts and I said to my family one day, ”I'm going to the Customs Department in Pietermaritzburg and I'm going to declare all the stuff I brought in without telling them.” I had all kinds of accusations from the devil. “They are going to put you in jail. You've got a young wife, you've got children, who's going to look after them?” But I could not have peace in my heart until I had made restitution.I went to the Customs Office, I declared everything that I'd brought in. The Customs Officer said to me, “Sir, all those things you brought in are duty free. You don't owe us anything.” Well, I want to tell you, I didn't walk out of that office, I flew like an eagle out of that office. I was so relieved. A burden was taken off my back, a lie from the devil.Today, sort out anything outstanding so that you too, can be free.Jesus bless you and have a wonderful day.Goodbye.

We go to the Gospel of John 8:12: Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the Light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the Light of life.” Jesus is the Light of the world. Then that scripture that you and I know so well, Psalm 119:105: “Your word is a lamp to my feetAnd a light to my path.”If we know Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Saviour, you and I should never, ever get lost because He is the Light and He will show us the way home. I am talking the way home to Heaven. We are not talking so much about physical sight. We are talking about spiritual sight. Helen Keller was an amazing woman. She was born blind and deaf. That baby had no contact with the world. It was like she was in a steel cage and she couldn't get out, but eventually she started to respond to movements on her hand, and then she could speak, she could preach, she was one of America's greatest ambassadors, but she said something that really startled me. She said, “There is nothing more pathetic in this world, than someone who can see but has no vision." Now, I want to ask you a question this morning and I am asking myself the very same question. Do we have vision? We can see but we are going nowhere. Why? Because we need to meet the Man from Galilee. He is the Light of the world.If we look at John 1:1, it says, “In the beginning was the Word…” and then we go to Psalm 119:105, “Your word is a lamp to my feet…” It's the Bible, folks, it is the Bible that will give us vision. Helen Keller couldn't see, she couldn't hear, but she had plenty vision. I want to say to you today, open your spiritual eyes. Spend time reading your Bible every single morning and then obeying what you read in the Bible and you will have sight and you will know the way. I love the Christmas season - the mince pies, the sparkling lights, the music, the crafting, the gingerbread house making, the wintery films, all the snuggling under blankets and having an actual real-life tree in the house dripping with lights and homemade decorations. I also love this month, of course, because it is THE Goodbye, Hello season - the season of collectively reflecting and dreaming. This is the month where many of us will crack open our brand new Goodbye 2025, Hello 2026 journals for the first time to start the journey of reflecting back on the year we've each been through and watch our dreams and desires for the year ahead emerge on the pages of our journals. Getting to do that process at the same time as thousands of people all over the world, feels utterly magical to me! You know what an orator is? I looked up the Oxford dictionary - "a person who is good at public speaking”. Well, who was the greatest orator of all time? His name is Jesus Christ! When the High Priest's soldiers were told to go and arrest Him and they heard Him speaking, they couldn't touch Him. They said, ”We have never ever heard a man speak like this before.”I've got a book, it's called ”Speeches That Changed The World”, and it's got the most famous speeches, right from the beginning, right up until now, all kinds of speeches, good ones, bad ones, ugly ones. We just think of Abraham Lincoln. He said, ”Government of the people, by the people, for the people.” Then we look at Winston Churchill during the Second World War, he said, ”Blood, toil, tears and sweat. We shall fight on the beaches, but we will never give up.” Prime Minister Nehru, at the Independence of India said, ”At the stroke of the midnight hour, India will awake.” Then we think of John F Kennedy. He said, "Ask not what your country can do for you. Rather ask what you can do for your country.” But I want to tell you about my friend, Jesus Christ. He spoke to me, almost audibly, through a man, not even a preacher, we're talking about laymen. They came to our little church and started to tell us about Jesus, and it was like my eyes were opened for the first time and Jesus said, ”Come to me, all of you who labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. I greet you in Jesus' precious name! It is Friday morning, the 28th of November, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We start in the Book of Leviticus 3:1:‘When his offering is a sacrifice of a peace offering…” Then we go straight to the New Testament in the Gospel of John 14:27. Jesus says: ”Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.“ The dove, the symbol of peace. It symbolises peace and also new beginnings. If we remember Noah's Ark when the whole world was flooded, the dove returned when the rain stopped, after everything had settled, with an olive branch in it's beak, signifying the end of the flood and new life and new beginnings. Yes, the dove is also the symbol of the Holy Spirit. At Jesus' baptism, at the Jordan river, remember, the Holy Spirit came down in the form of a dove and settled on the Lord. The dove represents reconciliation, mom, dad, brother, sister, reconciliation between God and man. If we look at Matthew 5:9: ”Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God.” We named this farm that we are on at the moment “Shalom” and we named it almost fifty years ago. When we arrived with our truck and trailer from Zambia, with our little children, they were just babies. I will never forget, I'd come home for a bit of lunch, in those days there were no cellphones, we had the old crank system on the telephones, two shorts, one long! Do you remember that? Yes, the older people do, the younger people have no idea. We got a phone call from the Deeds Office in Pretoria. They said, ”We have just approved the subdivision of your farm; we need a new name.” I shouted through to the bedroom, ”Jill, I've got the Deeds Office on the phone. They need a name for the farm.” This was before we became Christians. "Give us a name quickly, any name.” I heard that beautiful voice come through and say, ”Call it Shalom.” I said to the Deeds Office, ”The name is Shalom.” And those of you who know us well will agree that the peace of the Lord Jesus Christ has really blessed many multitudes on this farm. We start in the Book of Isaiah 55:11, and the Lord says; ”So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” Then we go to the New Testament, John 7:26:”But look! He speaks boldly, and they say nothing to Him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is truly the Christ? “ Now, remember what happened. Jesus told the disciples to go up to Jerusalem to the Feast of Tabernacles. He said, ”I will come later,” because they were seeking to kill Jesus. So eventually He came to Jerusalem on His own, and then He started to teach in the temple. His words were so bold that everyone listened without a word. The power of the spoken word of God. They recognised Jesus as the Christ, the Messiah, by the words which proceeded from His mouth.I want to say to you today, my dear friend, and this applies to me, we are not using the word of God enough. That is where the power is! William Shakespeare was a great writer, but there's no power when you quote Shakespeare. When you quote Sigmund Freud, there's no power. When you even quote Albert Einstein, supposed to be the most brilliant mind, there's no power, but when you quote the Word of God, there is power which accompanies the spoken Word of God.I have had the privilege of speaking at the Feast of Tabernacles in Jerusalem a number of times, and I want to tell you when you say, ”thus says the Lord,” the power comes down folks, especially if you believe it. If you look at some of those old crusade tapes of Dr Billy Graham and he says, ”and the word of God says….” As soon as he quotes Scripture, you can feel the presence of the Holy Spirit in that stadium amongst those thousands and thousands of people. I've experienced it in my own life, standing up there, feeling totally inadequate, but as soon as I start quoting the word of God, a supernatural power comes down and energises me, and I can see a change in that vast crowd.I want to speak to mothers today. You've got a sick child. Oh mom, go and lay your hands on your child and speak the Word of God over that child, speak healing over that little child. I want to say to dad, he doesn't know what to do at work anymore, there are big problems there. Speak the Word of God. I really mean that, quote Scripture. I greet you in Jesus' precious name! It is Wednesday morning, the 26th of November, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We go to the Book of Exodus 40:37-38: “But if the cloud was not taken up, then they did not journey till the day that it was taken up. For the cloud of the Lord was above the tabernacle by day, and fire was over it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.” They did not move until the cloud moved. Then we go to the Book of Acts 1:4: “…He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father,…”The Lord wants to talk to you and me this morning about not becoming so impatient. Many of us think that the Israelites just wandered aimlessly through the wilderness for 40 years. No, they didn't. Their Heavenly Father did not leave them as orphans. He put a cloud over the tabernacle and He said, “Don't move until the cloud moves,” and then at night a pillar of fire, as a sign of protection over them. We must not move until the Lord tells us to move. We go to the Acts of the Apostles, after the Lord Jesus Christ had been resurrected, they were totally lost, the disciples were all huddled together in the Upper Room. I have been to that room, I have laid on the floor of the Upper Room. I was so blessed, Jill and I. There wasn't a soul in that Upper Room when we were there that day, and we just lay on that floor and we just worshipped God. He said that we must wait for the promise of the Father. Now that is where a lot of us are making mistakes. We are running ahead of God, and that is why we are getting into trouble. As a young farmer, I remember us going through a drought period. I had planted my maize crop, but there was no rain. I wanted to disc it in and start again, but I didn't have the money. I waited, and you know something? My neighbours put the plough in and started all over again. I waited and I waited and then the rain came! When the rain came, that maize came through. It was a beautiful crop. If I had not waited, I would have got myself into terrible financial trouble.Today, wait for the promise of God. When the cloud moves, you move. When the cloud doesn't move, you stay. If God doesn't tell you to go, you better stay. If God tells you to go, pack your bags, then leave today. Jesus bless you and have a wonderful, peaceful day,Goodbye.

Samuel Contreras-Garcia, who police say fled the scene on foot, has been charged with felony hit-and-run, reckless driving, and more. The crash happened around 5:30 a.m. on Nov. 16 at Buford Highway and Duluth Highway. Officers found a mangled silver sedan wedged between poles, and the unrestrained front-seat passenger had been thrown from the car. Critically injured, they were rushed to the hospital. Surveillance footage allegedly shows Contreras-Garcia abandoning the wreck without calling 911. He was arrested two days later. STORY 7: Gwinnett's tag offices moving to new hours of operation in 2026 Starting in 2026, Gwinnett’s tag offices are trimming their hours—closing 30 minutes to an hour earlier each day. Beginning Jan. 1, offices will run from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Right now, they stay open until 5:30 p.m. most days and 6 p.m. on Wednesdays. Why the change? Tax Commissioner Denise Mitchell pointed to the growing use of self-service kiosks—16 in total, with three available 24/7. “We want to make things easier,” she said. Oh, and heads up: all tag offices, the main office, and the call center will close at noon on Dec. 5 for system updates. Back to normal Dec. 8. I looked up the Oxford dictionary. It means being excluded from a group or social interaction and being given the silent treatment. Have you ever felt like that? Oh yes, and especially if you're at school or university, you're not one of the boys, you're not one of the girls anymore. Why, what have you done wrong? No, you've done nothing wrong. What you have done is, you have identified yourself with Jesus Christ. That's all you've done. You feel lonely? Well, I want to tell you, Jesus couldn't even go up to Jerusalem because the Jews were waiting for Him, they wanted to kill Him. What had He done wrong? Nothing at all. He came to save the world!Have you felt left out of the office party? It's coming to the end of the year. Will you be welcome there? Yes, we can come but they don't talk to us, especially when they start getting drunk and they start telling filthy stories. You feel totally isolated, don't you? What about that sports team? You are one of the best players, you know that, but they keep preferring other people. Why? Because you are not popular because of your stand for Christ. Have you been overlooked at work maybe, for a promotion, because you will not back down and say that all roads lead to heaven, live and let live? No, because you love people, you've told them the truth but it's made you very unpopular.Well, I want to tell you today, shout for joy because you must be doing something right. If you look at Luke 10:20. The Lord says that your name, my name is written in the Book in Heaven, oh yes! When Jesus comes back, will He identify you as His friend or one of the gang?
