News: Earlier this week was St. Patrick's Day and Disneyland had limited offerings. The only things at the resort were a version of the Gray Stuff – called The Green Stuff at Red Rose Tavern, and a St. Paddy's Day t-shirt featuring Kermit the Frog. Of course, the Little Man of Disneyland, Patrick Begorra was celebrating at his tiny home in Adventureland. – https://www.micechat.com/411058-disneyland-news-constructions-projects-new-management-cutbacks/ Guests staying at the Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will delight in the updates happening. New entry gates are being installed to go along with the new entry gates at the Monorail station in Downtown Disney, and the entrances to Disney California Adventure and Disneyland. Two of the full-service restaurants, Storytellers Café and Napa Rose, are undergoing refurbishments, a new concierge lounge, and updated to rooms. – https://www.micechat.com/411058-disneyland-news-constructions-projects-new-management-cutbacks/ Over at Carthay Circle restaurant, there are costumes on display from the Snow White live action feature. The costumes are worn by Snow White, played by Rachel Zegler, and the Evil Queen, played by Gal Gadot. The original, animated feature Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs premiered at the original Carthay Circle Theater in Los Angeles on December 21, 1937. – https://www.micechat.com/411058-disneyland-news-constructions-projects-new-management-cutbacks/ https://mickeyblog.com/2025/03/17/live-action-snow-white-costumes-are-now-on-display-at-disneyland-resort/ This week, the Easter Foodie Guide was posted by Disney. This year, you can book a spot at Goofy's Kitchen Celebrates Springtime! at the Disneyland Hotel, or Storytellers Cafe Easter Buffet at the Grand Californian. Another Easter item is a Thumper Spring popcorn bucket. – https://disneyparksblog.com/disney-experiences/disney-eats-easter-foodie-guide-2025/ An Easter tradition is not returning this year. The coveted chocolate Easter eggs at Candy Palace are not going to be on the menu. This is a result of cost-cutting measures at the candy kitchens. Bob Chapek has left the company and Bob Iger is expected to stay for just 2 years while he works to set someone else up to take over the company. – https://thewaltdisneycompany.com/the-walt-disney-company-board-of-directors-appoints-robert-a-iger-as-chief-executive-officer/ and https://variety.com/2022/biz/news/bob-iger-restructuring-disney-kareem-daniel-exit-1235439263/ We have a date for the opening of Mickey's ToonTown! The full land will open on March 8th — a little over a month after Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway is scheduled to open on January 27th. As a recap, we can expect to see an update to Goofy's House with an interactive playground for kids; a new spot for Donald's Boat playground equipment and video portholes; A re-themed Gadget's Go-Coaster focusing on Chip and Dale; And the return of Mickey and Minne's Houses, Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin in addition to dining options at Café Daisy and Good Boy! Grocers. – https://twitter.com/DisneyParks/status/1593620677612998656 We heard this announcement this past Friday, as the park celebrated Mickey & Minnie's 94th Birthday with special buttons handed out at the main entrances and a birthday cavalcade downtown Main Street. The parade featured the Dapper Dans led sing alongs from the Omnibus, the Disneyland Band playing “Happy Birthday” with a bunch of characters, the Mickey and Minnie as the guests of honor before the cavalcade ends with a giant birthday cake for the pair. – https://www.micechat.com/340104-disneyland-news-return-of-the-king-cursed-keys/ Indy is back open after its 3-day refurb, but it's not what we were hoping. MiceChat says many of its major effects are still not working and is in desperate need of a rumored major overhaul. Meanwhile, in DCA Monsters Inc.: Mike and Sulley to the Rescue! opened up over the weekend with updated black light effects, fixed projection effects and some new safety features. The outside also got a fresh coat of paint. – https://www.micechat.com/340104-disneyland-news-return-of-the-king-cursed-keys/ Magic Keys were back on sale at Disneyland for a brief time this week. All keys except the Enchant level were open for new sales. Not long after, the Believe key was sold out and the others followed later. Magic Key sales are closed for now. Disney utilized the online queue for new sales like they have done in the past. – https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2022/11/17/disney-has-paused-select-magic-key-pass-sales/ Disneyland is adapting Disney World's latest cancelation policy for dining reservations. That means reservations must be canceled at least 2 hours prior to avoid a $10 per person cancelation fee. DisneyFoodBlog reports Disney saying this does not apply to Downtown Disney District restaurants, the World of Color Dessert Party, the Princess Breakfast Adventure at Napa Rose, and Tomorrowland Skyline Terrace. – https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2022/11/17/update-made-to-dining-reservation-cancelation-policy-for-disneyland/ We are not even past Thanksgiving in the United States, but Disney is already thinking of the Lunar New Year and the California Food and Wine Festival. In 2023, Lunar New Year is starting on January 20th and running through February 15th. For 2023, it is the Year of the Rabit for the Chinese New Year, which symbolizes luck, but the Vietnamese New Year is the Year of the Cat. Two new Lunar New Year marketplaces arrive this year; Bamboo Blessings and Wrapped with Love. The Food and Wine Festival will run from March 3rd through April 25th. With the Food and Wine festival, Soarin' Over California will return once again. – https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2022/11/lunar-new-year-celebration-and-disney-california-adventure-food-&-wine-festival-return-in-2023-to-disney-california-adventure-park/ A week after the rest of the resort, the holidays arrived at Downtown Disney and the resort hotels. Trees, nutcrackers, snowmen and more line the streets of the shopping district. Inside the hotels you'll find the annual staples — the Gingerbread house and giant tree in the Grand Californian Lobby, Mid-Century Modern decor adorns the Disneyland Hotel. Though MiceChat is reporting a rumor that this style of holiday decorations will go away next year. – https://www.micechat.com/340104-disneyland-news-return-of-the-king-cursed-keys/ On November 18th, the Mandalorian and Grogu landed in Star Wars Galaxy's Edge in Disneyland. The duo greeted guests and even interacted with Boba Fett in the land. They should be out and greeting guests every 30 minutes. No news on how long they will be visiting Batuu, so if you are interested in meeting them, get to the parks soon. – https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2022/11/18/photos-and-video-we-met-baby-yoda-in-disneyland/ This past week featured Life Day — the holiday celebration in the Star Wars Universe. You can get a taste of holiday-inspired dishes back in Galaxy's Edge. At Docking Bay 7, you can find Trandoshan-style Past with Braised Bantha — which is a braid beef over Cavatelli pasta with veggies, a zesty avocado sauce, and balsamic glaze. We've heard it's a bit spicy. Or there is a Yobshrmip Mix stew with Swamp Grains — another spicy dish featuring shrimp, sausage, veggies, and rice with a tomato curry sauce. – https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2022/11/20/we-have-one-word-to-describe-these-2-new-disney-snacks-spicy/ Guests who shop early and want to grab their merch on the way out of the park instead of carrying it will now find it at the Disneyland Merchant's Guild, located in the former Guided Tour building next to Disneyland's City Hall. – https://www.micechat.com/340104-disneyland-news-return-of-the-king-cursed-keys/ Discussion: Marceline, MO – https://www.downtownmarceline.org/tour/

News: A galaxy far, far away came to Disneyland 35 years ago recently. This was the first time that fans of the Star Wars universe could actually be apart of the universe, years before Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. The opening of the landmark attraction was celebrated by the park staying open for 60 hours. – https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2022/01/star-tours-at-disneyland-park-celebrates-35-years-of-galactic-adventures/ Another great sign of progress to get the trams back operating for guests is underway. There are construction walls up around the loading area in Downtown Disney, with paving taking place behind the walls. According to our friend David over at FreshBaked reported that 7 trams are in operation and being tested, up from just 4 recently. – https://www.micechat.com/311792-disneyland-update-lightning-lane-shenanigans-and-staffing-problems/ and https://wdwnt.com/2022/01/photos-downtown-disney-parking-tram-station-construction/ Lunar New Year is coming up quick on February 1st. To celebrate, the mural in Downtown Disney on the corner of the former ESPN building has been updated to reflect the occasion. Being the year of the tiger, the mural includes Tigger, along with Mushu, Mulan, Chip, Dale, and Goofy. The artwork was created by Disney Live Entertainment art director Elizabeth Lisa Kang. – https://dlnewstoday.com/2022/01/photos-new-lunar-new-year-mural-featuring-tigger-in-downtown-disney-district/ A slighly healthier snack has come to Disney California Adventure. Chocolate covered bananas have debuted at Carabelle's Ice Cream Shop. Not only will they be covered in chocolate, but also with a variety of toppings. Rainbow sprinkles, Mickey confetti, crushed peanuts, and crushed waffle cone. This follows the return of the bananas to Walt Disney World a couple of months ago. – https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2022/01/09/weve-been-waiting-for-this-treat-to-arrive-in-disneyland/ Some popular Disney treats have seen a price increase recently at Walt Disney World. This could mean that the price changes are coming to Disneyland in the future. Some notable prices are $5 for a 20oz bottle of soda, Mickey Premium Bars up to $6.25, and the Dole Whip at $6.99. It is not certain that prices will increase, but something to keep an eye on. Some of the items at the restaurants have also increased by a couple of dollars each. – https://www.wdwmagic.com/attractions/epcot/news/10jan2022-disney-hikes-the-price-of-mickey-bars-and-dole-whips-along-with-hundreds-of-other-food-and-beverage-items-at-walt-disney-world.htm The Disneyland Monorail will be going down for refurbishment, possibly in relation to the changes coming to the Downtown Disney District in February. Currently, the monorail is scheduled to close February 14th, with no exact end on the calendar yet. – https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2022/01/06/disneylands-monorail-to-close-temporarily-this-month/ There are just a few more days to visit a couple locations in Downtown Disney. Earl of Sandwich is currently scheduled to close on January 22nd, Sugarboo & Co will close on January 16th. The Starbucks located in the same building as Earl of Sandwich has already closed. This is in preperation for the makeover of this section of the shopping district, which should be starting soon. – https://www.mouseplanet.com/13096/Disneyland_Resort_Update_for_January_10___16_2022#news0 and https://www.micechat.com/311809-disneyland-news-monorail-downtown-disney-shops-prepare-to-close-in-advance-renovation/ With the recent surge in COVID cases, due to the omicron variant, staffing at the resort has been challenging. The resort has been cross training as many cast members as possible and moving cast members around as much as possible to limit the impact of the shortages. The most notable closure is Napa Rose. Reservations were cancelled for guests who had booked dining at the location, due to staffing issues. – https://www.micechat.com/311792-disneyland-update-lightning-lane-shenanigans-and-staffing-problems/ Disney Vacation Club members should be aware of some new changes to the program. Interval International exchanges are now officially available. Exchanges with this program include thousands of resorts all over the world, including “high-quality properties” such as Marriott, Sheraton, Hyatt, and Westin. Disney Stays include not only Disney Vacation Club Resorts, but also traditional Disney Resort hotel exchange options. Disney Experiences include exchange options like Disney Cruise Line voyages, Adventures by Disney guided trips, National Geographic Expeditions, and the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser. – https://wdwnt.com/2022/01/disney-vacation-club-adds-new-exchange-options-for-disney-experiences-and-non-disney-resorts-through-interval-international/ The next century of the Walt Disney Company is just around the corner, and CEO Bob Chapek has released some goals for the next century. Chapek released the “three pillars of success” in a memo to Cast Members. The three pillars are storytelling excellence, innovation, and relentless focus on the audience. On the surface, these pillars are exactly what the public expects from the company currently, and are nothing new. Time will tell what these pillars mean for the company going forward and what will change based on these. – https://dlnewstoday.com/2022/01/ceo-bob-chapek-establishes-his-three-pillars-of-success-for-the-next-century-of-the-walt-disney-company/ Discussion Topic: Star Tours Deep Dive Disney Parks Blog – https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2022/01/star-tours-at-disneyland-park-celebrates-35-years-of-galactic-adventures/ Wikipedia – https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Tours WDWNT – https://wdwnt.com/2022/01/looking-back-on-the-history-and-impact-of-the-original-star-tours-35-years-later/ Behind the Attraction – Episode 3

A selection of desserts and beverages is provided and takes place at 7pm and 9:30pm on party nights. Stores around the Disneyland Resort have already started stocking new Halloween merchandise. From tees, to ears, to hats, and more, there is something for everyone. Some standout items include a Haunted Mansion/Madame Leota necklace or ear rings, a pair of hitchhiking ghosts socks, and a Haunted Mansion wallpaper folding hand fan. – https://www.micechat.com/298137-disneyland-merchandise-update-spooky-beginnings-mansion-marvel/ and https://www.shopdisney.com/halloween-shop/ Mickey and Minnie have come to the resort in a new way! Strollers at the resort now feature the classic couple, along with their classic red and black color scheme. The old design was black and blue, so this is an upgrade! The sun shades feature Mickey and Minnie on either side of the seat. The wheels are black and yellow to complete the look. For guests needing to rent one, they are $18 a day for the single stroller, and $36 for the double stroller. – https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2021/08/07/disneylands-strollers-just-got-a-super-cute-upgrade/ Just a quick reminder to anyone who will be visiting Disneyland in the next few weeks, the Haunted Mansion is scheduled to be down for the transition to Haunted Mansion Holiday from August 16th to September 2nd. This will be the 20th anniversary of the holiday overlay and will feature nods to each of the 20 years in the gingerbread house in the ballroom scene this year. – https://www.micechat.com/297892-disneyland-update-magic-keys-and-cast-member-needs/ Another quick note to guests going to the parks soon, Mickey's Mix Magic, the fireworks show that is currently shown at Disneyland has moved to 9pm from 9:30pm, and starting August 30th, the fireworks portion of the show will be on weekends only, with projections only on the weekdays. – https://www.mouseplanet.com/12997/Disneyland_Resort_Update_for_August_9__15_2021#news4 With the return of the popular bread bowls in Disney California Adventure, Disney has posted a TikTok video of how they are made! There a few steps and watching the Cast Members make these bowls of awesomeness so fast is amazing to watch. To see this for yourself, check out the link in our show notes at dlweekly.net. – https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2021/08/02/video-see-how-disney-makes-their-iconic-bread-bowls/ The Wonderground Gallery in Downtown Disney has reopened after a brief refurbishment. None of the physical aspects of the store were changed, but most of the items available for sale were replaced and refreshed. – https://dlnewstoday.com/2021/08/photos-wonderground-gallery-reopens-at-downtown-disney-district-after-brief-refurbishment/ The Orange County Register reported this week that Disneyland has 19,000 cast members working at the resort, and is continuing to rehire furloughed and laid off cast members. This only represents 3/5 of the total workforce pre-pandemic. Much of the cast that works third shift are still on furlough, with the overnight duties falling to day shift. – https://www.ocregister.com/2021/08/06/disneyland-workforce-reaches-19000-unions-want-thousands-more-rehired/ There was a union protest outside of Disneyland on August 5th, representing a number of different Cast Member unions that work at the resort. They protested to call attention to returning to work and fighting for a living wage at the resort. The resort has been understaffed since it's reopening at the end of April and has not been able to get all the cast members to return. – https://www.micechat.com/297892-disneyland-update-magic-keys-and-cast-member-needs/ Another sad situation for Cast Members is the ticket restrictions that have been in place since reopening, making it nearly impossible to use this valuable perk of the job. Cast Members are given three different types of passes to use. Self-admission, which is unlimited, but subject to blockout days, the main entrance pass, which allows cast members and up to three guests into the parks, which is limited to about 16 days per year, with blackouts, and finally complimentary tickets, which are one-day park hoppers given to cast members two to three times a year, with no blockout dates. The first two passes have been blocked out since reopening, and the third is limited by a low amount of reservations available for the ticket type. – https://www.micechat.com/297892-disneyland-update-magic-keys-and-cast-member-needs/ The Walt Disney Animation Studios Disney+ long-term series production is moving out of Burbank. The team will be relocated to Vancouver, Canada, while the feature animation team will remain in Burbank at the studios. The relocation and added space, will allow for more projects to be worked on at the same time. The new studio is scheduled to open in January. They are also looking for new members of the team, which can be found at the link in our show notes. – https://dlnewstoday.com/2021/08/walt-disney-animation-studios-to-move-series-production-to-new-vancouver-location/ Walt Disney Imagineering has been named a Beat Workplace for Innovators by Fast Company for 2021. The title goes to companies that successfully foster cultures of innovation and encourage employees to discover, explore, and invent. Some of the stand out innovations that Imagineering has created include the Stuntronics at Avengers Campus, the gesture tracking on Web Slingers, the latest A-1000 model of animatronics, as seen in Galaxy's Edge, and more. – https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2021/08/fast-company-names-walt-disney-imagineering-a-best-workplace-for-innovators/ Discussion Topic: Chris from DisneyChris.com

News: With the theme parks having just opened almost two weeks ago, more dining locations are returning. The Paradise Garden Grill reopens on Thursday, May 13th, the Alfresco Dining Terrace for Legacy Passholders and their guests on Thursday, May 20th, the Blue Bayou on Thursday, May 27th, the Napa Rose for dinner only on Friday, May 28th, Storytellers Cafe for breakfast and dinner on Friday, May 28th, and finally the GCH Craftsman Bar, also on Friday, May 28th. For a complete list of all the dining locations, please check out the link in our show notes. – https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2021/05/update-foodie-news-dining-guide-to-disneyland-resort-reopening/ The Blue Bayou is reopening soon, so we finally get a look at the updated menu, which now includes some alcoholic beverages. Appetizers include the Signature Gumbo, the Grilled Heirloom Jumbo Asparagus, and the House salad. Entrees include the Monte Crist Sandwich, Jambalaya, Cauliflower Steak and Grits, and more. Two dessert options – an 8 layer chocolate and hazelnut cake, and a vanilla0bourbon creme brulee. A variety of wines and the new Hurricane round out the options. – https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2021/05/11/first-look-at-the-alcohol-coming-to-disneylands-blue-bayou-restaurant/ Another restaurant has reopened in Downtown Disney this past week. Catal has returned with a brand new menu, featuring Ahi Avocado Toast, Traditional Paella, Filet Mignon, and Three Cheese Mac and Cheese. – https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2021/05/06/another-downtown-disney-restaurant-has-reopened-this-time-with-a-new-menu/ With the likelihood that most restrictions will be lifted next month, Disneyland still is taking it slow due to a number of reasons. The biggest at the moment is the staffing issues at the resort. Furloughed workers had to be called back first and must be given two chances to turn down their jobs before Disney can bring back laid off employees. One visible sign of this is the Disneyland Railroad, which explains why the attraction has been shut down by 3pm each day. Disney has worked through the furloughed cast, and has begun contacting laid off cast. – https://www.micechat.com/290274-disneyland-update-one-week-in-heres-how-its-really-going/ The most budget friendly of the Disneyland Resort Hotels will be reopening next! The Paradise Pier Hotel will reopen on June 15th, with limited capacity. The Grand Californian’s special entrance to Disney California Adventure will reopen on May 28th. Still no word on when the Disneyland Hotel will reopen to guests. – https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2021/05/news-from-the-hotels-of-the-disneyland-resort-disneys-paradise-pier-hotel-reopening-june-15-more-restaurant-dining-returning-to-disneys-grand-californian-hotel-spa/ With the weather getting warmer, it is nice to have a popular water attraction back open! Grizzly River Run has returned to operation this week, and is looking great. The attraction usually has its annual refurbishment around this time of year, so this is nothing new. – https://www.micechat.com/290274-disneyland-update-one-week-in-heres-how-its-really-going/ Another attraction is joinging the virtual queue system, if only for testing at this time. The Indiana Jones Adventure is running a test of standby and virtual queue at the same time off and on at the moment. With the current limitations on indoor queuing, the line has been clogging up the nearby walkways. The Jungle Cruise extended queue, which Indy has been using, will be needed by the Jungle Cruise when that attraction reopens this summer. For now, guests can get in the virtual queue through the Disneyland app. Only one virtual queue per guest, per attraction, per day at this time. – https://www.micechat.com/290527-breaking-disneyland-news-indiana-jones-to-get-the-virtual-queue-treatment/ and https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2021/05/11/another-ride-joins-disneylands-virtual-queue-system/ The costumes for Avengers Campus have been revealed. Cast Members will be known as Campus Representatives in the various parts of the new area, each with their own distinct style. Web Slingers and Web Suppliers Cast Members will wear modern, techy emblems, made from lightweight, breathable fabrics. Pym Test Kitchen Cast Members will wear lab coats, hats, and ties, with unique pieces like pocket protectors. The Ancient Sanctum costumes feature mystical looking textures and sewing techniques, while food cart cast members will sport designs reminiscent of New York cart workers, and a Terran inspired look from Guardians of the Galaxy. Finally, the campus uniform took on the look of Shield agents, with cargo bottoms, a training shirt, and a tactical-inspired vest. – https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2021/05/first-look-avengers-campus-cast-members-assemble-in-new-cast-costumes/ We know that it is hard to believe, but we are halfway to Halloween, and the Disney Parks are celebrating. The Disney Parks blog has posted some delectable treats to celebrate at Disney Parks on both coasts. – https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2021/05/disneymagicmoments-conjuring-up-the-magic-recipes-for-your-halfway2halloween-celebration/ Along with the treats, there is, of course, some spooky good merchandise as well! New nuiMOs plush costumes inspired by the upcoming Cruella movie, a new Disney Villains Streetwear collection, which features a lot of denim with Haunted Mansion designs, plus some ears, and much, much more! Some of the items are available on shopDisney, with others offered in the parks. – https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2021/05/shriek-peek-celebrating-halfwaytohalloween-with-a-spooky-first-look-at-some-spine-tingling-new-products/ Rounding out the halfway to Halloween news, guests can take self guided tours of the Haunted Mansion style attractions around the world. Uncle Deadly from the Muppets hosts the experience, which allows guests to tour the Haunted Mansion in Disneyland and Walt Disney World, Mystic Manor at Hong Kong Disneyland, and Phantom Manor at Disneyland Paris. At the end, there is a surprise look at a Haunted Mansion special premiering on Disney+ this fall. – https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2021/05/a-self-guided-tour-of-the-most-mystifying-disney-parks-attractions-around-the-world/ Cast Members will be offered the COVID-19 vaccine on property though June. Active and furloughed cast members and their families can get either the Pfizer or Johnson & Johnson vaccine starting on May 13th at the Disneyland Hotel. Active cast members only can get a single-shot JJ vaccine as of May 10th backstage. This week, Mousetalgia hosts our annual "Best of" episode - but since 'Twenty was such a dumpster fire, we've decided to share our bests of a lifetime of Disney fandom. Topics include favorite movies (Parent Trap? The Haunted Mansion?), and our favorite television shows (The Mandalorian, Wonderful World of Disney). We also discuss our favorite merch, including items from Disneyland's 50th anniversary and the Tronorail. Of course, we discuss favorite Disney foods, including mentions of Club 33, Blue Bayou, Napa Rose, and 21 Royal. Also, our favorite books, our top experiences with our Disney fandom, our awkward "Oswald" moments - and more.

They are made on Sundays and finished on Mondays, when you can purchase them. They are limited to 2 per guest and come in five different flavors. For $9.99, you can pick up chocolate fudge, peanut butter, black walnut fudge, vanilla creme, and vanilla nut cream. – https://www.micechat.com/253279-disneyland-update-spring-virus/It may be the start of the Spring Break season at Disneyland, but the crowds have been light since the onset of the Coronavirus. The first place this was noticed was the boarding groups for Rise of the Resistance being available for quite a while after park opening. Even popular attractions like Indiana Jones and Smuggler’s Run were less than 25 minute waits on Friday, usually a busy day. – https://www.micechat.com/253279-disneyland-update-spring-virus/In a move to encourage more passholders to come to the park, Disney has launched its new AP Magic program. The program highlights things like the extra hour to ride select attractions, passholder-only meet and greets, special event pre-sale tickets, discounts and more. – https://www.micechat.com/253279-disneyland-update-spring-virus/Some discounts are coming to an end soon, so take advantage of them now if you can. The Spring version of this same deal for stays until June 18th expires on March 16th as well. Finally, the 3-day, one park per day child ticket for $67 per day ends on May 18th, with the ticket good until May 21st. – https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2020/03/09/these-3-disneyland-discounts-are-ending-soon-find-out-how-to-save-with-them-here/With the Spring weather settling in around the resort, the trees in the parks have started to bloom. The most beautiful of these are the Pink Lapacho (lah-paa-chow) trees that are in the hub. Other than the trees, there are a number of Spring flowers that are blooming around the parks that make this time of year exceptionally beautiful. – https://www.micechat.com/253279-disneyland-update-spring-virus/Disney’s Chief Medical Officer of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products released a statement, which in part reads “As part of our commitment to the health and well-being of our cast, guests and the larger community, we are carefully monitoring the evolving coronavirus situation and are in regular contact with health agencies for information and guidance. For the first time in way too long, the Food and Wine Festival has returned to Disney California Adventure. It's going on this month every Friday, Saturday and Sunday ending on May 1st. It's a celebration of the tastes of California and an opportunity to sample an assortment of beverages and tasty treats you can't otherwise find at DCA. You can eat and drink your way from Carthay Circle to Paradise Pier at 8 different Festival Marketplaces, plus there are a number of beverage seminars and culinary demonstrations happening throughout the event. In Hollywood Land, they've set up a celebrity kitchen. For $99 per person you can enjoy presentations by famous chefs like Andrew Sutton, Guy Fieri, Keegan Gerhard, G. Gavin and Graham Eliot--and no, not all those presentations are sold out yet. You can find out more by visiting https://disneyland.disney.go.com/events-tours/disney-california-adventure/food-and-wine-festival. Last weekend, Team Mouse Castle dropped by the Food and Wine Festival and, oh yes, we sampled as many culinary offerings as we could. Saturday night, we all got together at Napa Rose inside the Grand Californian Hotel and shared our thoughts about Food and Wine, how it compares to similar past events at DCA and especially how much of a value it is for guests. Team Mouse Castle overindulges in food and wine—what could possibly go wrong?  Enjoy!www.TheMouseCastle.comRSS Feed: http://themousecastle.libsyn.com/rss

Team Mousetalgia offers a Disneyland Paris trip report this week, hitting the major highlights: Phantom Manor and the bride - does the cohesive storyline give this attraction a leg up on its cousin, the Haunted Mansion? Also discussed: the holidays at Disneyland Paris and how the celebrations compare with the American parks; the European atmosphere and cultural differences; and highlights from the theme parks, including Space Mountain, Crush's Coaster, Ratatouille, Pirates - and that Eyvind Earle-inspired Sleeping Beauty Castle (guarded by a semi-slumbering dragon)! The shopping experience is also discussed, as is the dining experience at the resort. When in France... do you eat in the parks, go for the chicken nuggets, or zip over to the nearest bistro? The answer might surprise you! Also - Disney artist Jarrod Maruyama talks about Hipster Mickey and his latest book projects, a listener shares some Napa Rose memories - and more.
