Rancho La Puerta in MexicoDear Ones,This is a spontaneous blessings for the women after a week at Rancho LaPuerta.Shiloh Sophia Woman, sister, friend, you really have been through so much. You complete a cycle of initiation and a new one begins. I am walking in a storm in the dark.A crossroads appears out of nowhere for me, and for you. When you thought you were nearing your destinationa new journey opens. It's like a labyrinth. It seems to go on and on. Always looking to reach the center. Then as soon as you have arrived, making our way back outcrossing other people on the pathHopefully when you return to your life, you know the place you came from, newly, for the first time. Because after all, it is your life. And returning over and over and over to your same life with different eyes This is life. Breathe with me.As you breathe in, acknowledge, I am a sacred being, as you breathe out, all beings are sacred. Breathing in, I am a sacred being. Pausing and breathing out, all beings are sacred. Breathing in, I am a sacred being. Breathing out, all beings are sacred.Woman, Sister, Friend,I can't really imagine all the things that have shaped you into who you are. You really have been through so much. But right in this moment, I just want to acknowledge you for making it this far. There were times you thought you wouldn'tand I want to say to you that in this very nowin this now-ness, in this sacred exchange, right here between me and you, there's a shared field of supportive love and presence. The colorful weaving of threads, a fabric shawl woven to place gently about your shoulders. While I can't see you with my human eyes, I see you with the eyes of another woman. The sacred in me bows to the sacred in you. I walk around these stones in a storm I place my hands on the flashing mica. The rain comes and kisses my handsand I have this wish that you were with meI think of how we are earth, earthing,I think of how we are this stardest, starringin our own lives, perhaps not quite as glamourouslyas we once may have dreamedbut we are still Star Girls, aren't we? We are cooling sacks of stars.Woman, sister, friend, this whole thing is an initiation!I don't have to tell you that, because you already knowbut it is good to be reminded.I know, as sure as I know anything, this it isn't exactly as you dreamed and maybe not what you wanted or how you thought it would go.And like me you wonder and worry about things like trust, about health, about prosperity, longevity about the state of the world and your house and the health of your childrenand your children's children. We wake up wondering, how did we get here?We wake up worryingWhat can I fix today?I walk around the stones. One cowgirls boot in front of the other.I come face to face with to a giant Grandmother Oak.I place my hands upon that mossy bark and I say, thank you for helping me breathe. I want to breathe with you.Breathing in, I am a sacred being. Breathing out, You are a sacred being. Right in this moment there is a sacred exchange of energy flowing between us that lets us know we are so much more than enough. Let us drop the ayers of imposedunworthiness that we took on without even knowing it.Outdated patterns that serve no one, Be gone! Let me just assure you now, you ARE worthy. Your worthiness is innate, no onecan give it to you and no one can take it from you.May the voice within you that has been hard on you be catalyzed into fierce wisdom and discernment and sharpened as a tool with your mind. You have honed over many years of witnessing what was safe and what wasn't,it tried to protect you but now it's too hard on you. What if your our inner voice could starts to show you how and when to protect yourself, without hardening yourself.Oooh. That is the riddle for women, isn't it? How do we not harden ourselves as we guard ourselves?Walking alone at night in this village of wisdom-keepers and healersI have no fear and I recognizethis is a rare feeling. I know you know.Yet right now, there's a field around us a softening into love. My bubble of love bounces up to your bubble of love and says, Hello Friend!I affirm you, you are so much more than enough! And you are so worthy of all the love you have to give. The reality that you even exist is a radiant miracle to me!I bow at the feet of Mother Life for you at this tree. Let us pause and let all the beauty come into usand let all the beauty we choose to express flow out from us. This is a sacred exchange of energyinto the matter-based beings that we are.Between us and all creationto all the directions, all the elements, ahhhh…you are sacred beings and we are sacred beingswith you.Woman, sister, friend, I choose each step around this circleof stones and I raise my hands up to the skystars shining through rain andI say to the whole universe, I remember you! And I do.Woman, sister, friend, let us remember one another and reach, across those crossroads for one another's hands.I feel your heart beating in mine. This red thread extending The song of ancestors moves in these circles of stones.Shiloh Sophia For the women at Wisdom-Keepers week at Rancho LaPuerta Get full access to Tea with the Muse at teawiththemuse.substack.com/subscribe

There is a lot of talk about how creativity and collaboration "should" be done these days. Some say processes are stifling. Others say you have to all be in the same office to collaborate effectively. Today's conversation will offer you a different take on how collaboration can actually lead to the most creative solutions on the planet.Today, I speak with Laetro co-founder and firmer Disney creative, Dave Zaboski! We talk about what Disney taught him about effective collaboration, including the idea of "plussing" to ensure the best outcome. He candidly shares how process and structure don't stifle creativity but ensure it's repeatable, and actually helps creatives get good work out into the world. We talk about the unique position we are in as humans to tell stories, the role mission plays in mobilizing a team, and how empathy is required by artists. Dave also gives his take on AI and creative technology and where the dangers and opportunities lie.To access the episode transcript, please click on the episode title at www.TheEmpathyEdge.com Key Takeaways:Solutions can and should be beautiful. Beauty is created when you add to others, not when you are negative to them. Empathy in creativity allows bridges to be built and connections to be made between different experiences of different people. Storytelling is a power - stories create our reality. What would happen if we stop telling the apocalypse stories, and start to use the technology in the stories to enable society to flourish. There is process and structure, even in creativity. It is not a bad thing, it is a way to get replicable results no matter what industry you are in. Rules are necessary for creativity to flourish. Brene Brown has a chart of how to cultivate ‘wholehearted' living which has always intrigued me. It reads like a 'how-to' manual of living an intentional life.  Last week I had an incredible experience of being in a place that I think embraces wholehearted living in a holistic way. I believe living authentically requires us to pay attention to true wellness: Physical, Mental, Emotional, and Spiritual. As I experienced this special place, I was hyper-aware that not everyone has the means or the privilege to travel to a wellness resort. So, I wanted to share my biggest takeaways from Rancho La Puerta, and how I believe we can incorporate the spirit of “the Ranch” wherever we are! This episode invites you into the world of play, rest, movement and more. Discover how food, community and music can play a part in true wellness. Then, see how you can incorporate these pricipals of whole-istic wellness in your everyday life. The teaching of the Ranch are the essence of living an intentional life! If you would like to be a part of our community, I invite you to check out The Sober Edge Book Club where we bring in community, play and personal growth as we explore the fun of reading together! We are so honored and thrilled to have our Fashion Bestie, Supermodel EMME, back with us on the podcast this week! She is here to share her favorite summer fashion picks and give us a short recap from our last show where we interviewed the winner of her “Fashion Without Limits” competition, Nina Chen.     Go back to EP 152 and have a listen!      EMME's Favorite Summer Fashion Picks:  Our BFFF (best fashion friend forever), EMME spent some time in Mexico this summer at Rancho La Puerta, a wellness resort in Tecata on the Mexican border - and as you can imagine - it was HOT and SUNNY!     So, what are her secrets for beating the heat while staying in style?     A large reed beach bag that she cannot leave home without.  A large sun hat, long sleeves and clean-ingredient sunscreens!  Anything linen. She says breathability is key, so go with the wrinkles if you are hot!   Smocked Tops (you may even be able to go without a bra if you do it right).  Any sort of tunic which will provide cool and stylish coverage – think Morocco.  NYDJ skinny jeans.  Gladiator sandals.  Fresh pedicures (due to a “hiking toe”).  Bathing suits that will stay on her body because she likes to move around in the water. Favorite swimwear brands include Anne Cole and Nautica – whose designs bridge the gap between coverage and style.     Hot Tip: check out Swimsuits for All* for the best selection of women's swimwear!    *As we speak, Holly is wrapping up an interview at the SWIMSUITS FOR ALL headquarters in NYC. Stay tuned for that episode!     EMME's vision for Fashion Without Limits Design Competition  To recap: Supermodel Emme is a Division 1 college athlete who put “athletic curvy” on the map and rose to fame in the mid-1990's as the world's first plus-size Supermodel, and is once again shedding light on size inclusivity in the fashion industry.     After beating cancer a few years ago, EMME felt strongly about creating a legacy project. The result of this vision was the creation of the Fashion Without Limits Design Initiative.     Teaming up with her alma mater Syracuse University and online plus-size retailer OneStopPlus (OSP), the nationally recognized advocate for body positivity, health and wellness is promoting fashion inclusivity in the classroom with the 8th Annual Fashion Without Limits (FWL) Design Competition.      Emme enlisted the help of fellow advocate and veteran plus-size fashion designer Zahir Babvani, head of design & style for OneStopPlus, to inspire a new generation of up-and-coming fashion designers to put their talents to work for the silent majority -- the estimated 70 percent of American women who wear sizes 12 and up! #FACTS    Emme says that she created this competition to galvanize the design school community around the exciting career opportunities in one of the fastest growing, yet most under-served, segments of the fashion industry.      The 1985 Syracuse University grad, athletic Hall of Famer, and Fashion Without Limits founder says, “Learning from successful designers like Zahir Babvani shows young designers that this is a rewarding career path. Syracuse University is at the forefront of making inclusive design an exciting area of concentration, giving tomorrow's designers the skills, and ability, to enact real change on the fashion landscape. We hope this program will become a template for other schools moving forward.”    According to Emme, curvy women are professionals, celebrities, mothers, daughters and sisters.     “All women want to feel special, confident, and secure in their clothes.  At Fashion Without Limits, we believe that love, happiness, and success have no size limits. Our goal is to offer fashion design students an inclusive curriculum that enables them to provide women of all shapes and sizes with the apparel they want and deserve.” – EMME    It has been so fun catching up with the delightful EMME. We will continue to follow her Fashion Without Limits program, and her mission to change fashion for the better with size-inclusive styles.  #YAAASSSS!    Thank you, EMME!       VOTE FOR US!  In other fashion news, we have been nominated for the People's Choice Podcast Awards honoring podcasters since 2005, and we would love for you to vote for us.    Please vote via this three-step process:      Go to https://www.podcastawards.com/ and create an account.    Please verify your account via your confirmation email.    Then you can vote for us in the People's Choice Award, and in the Arts Category.       We know this is a big ask. Roger BelAir - Join in this amazing episode with Roger BelAir - a very successful and charismatic pickleball influencer who has introduced pickleball to many people - including the most notable philanthropy work done within American prison systems ( 60 minutes link below) Enjoy his many stories including advice from Vince Lombardi ( yes THE Vince Lombardi) as well as the actual pickleball founders and history, as well as insights on helping others wherever their journey may take them. We are very excited to present this episode with the great Roger Belair - please enjoy the impressive body of work from this accomplished author, philanthropist and pickleball enthusiast. Years ago Roger BelAir was introduced to Barney McCallum, the only living founder of the game. They quickly became friends and many of the anecdotes and vignettes Roger shares about the game come directly from Barney. Next Roger came to know the management of Pickle-Ball, Inc., the company formed by the three founders to promote pickleball. He learned even more "behind the scenes" stories. As a result, Roger's clinics are uncopiable! With a style that mixes humor, insights, and proper technique, Roger has taught 3,000 people ... from a former Wimbledon tennis pro to Fortune 500 executives to grandmothers who want to stay active and have fun. He is frequently the Guest Teaching Pro at the renowned Rancho La Puerta (one of the "Five Best Destination Spas in the World" according to Travel + Leisure magazine). Inspired by a CBS's "60 Minutes" segment on crime, Roger envisioned pickleball as a means of teaching "life skills" in prisons. Since 95 per cent of all inmates are eventually released, perhaps pickleball could help make them better people ... making it safer for all of us once they return to society. His thinking was correct. Roger introduced the game to men charged with murder at Chicago's Cook County Jail and his program was hugely successful. Gang members who wouldn't even talk to each other were playing pickleball together. Soon they were even laughing together! Disciplinary problems at the jail were reduced. The success of his program in Chicago led Roger to prisons coast-to-coast, from Rikers Island in New York to San Quentin in California. His life-changing efforts have been applauded by the Washington Post, NPR, a front-page story in USA TODAY, and others. A documentary is currently in production. Off the court, Roger is a financial expert who has been profiled in a cover story of Money magazine; an acclaimed author of books on finance and investments; and a keynoter at business conventions around the country. He's been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, and many other publications. If you love the show and would like to support it, please share this episode!  You can also Buy Me A Coffee! ☕❤️ As an indie podcaster, that would mean the world to me!------------------------------------------------------The end of Nancy's 26 year marriage broke her to the core.  Her subsequent split with her fiancé years later, finally woke her up that there were lessons here she needed to learn and that is exactly what she has done.  For Nancy, it was a journey back to self as she crawled back out of her victim mindset to become the thought leader and guide that she is today. For so long, Nancy thought she was living her own life's vision.  She was raised to be a wife and mother – with maybe a side career to go along with it. A natural caretaker, she readily stepped into that role and was good at it. Whatever passion or purpose was important to her husband, it immediately became hers. She loved their life and she loved her role in keeping it all together... until her husband had a personality break and midlife crisis. So, when it all came crumbling to pieces, she told herself that he ruined her life. She thought if he no longer wanted me, then she no longer wanted herself.  She was stuck in grief and blame – he broke our family picture.  He broke her.  Nancy couldn't see anything good in her life and she certainly couldn't see her role in any of it. She was devastated and she didn't have the tools to move forward and heal and it took her many years to recover and find herself again. In that time, all she knew is that she wanted her life fixed. So, she dove into another relationship again, where her role was to keep it all going.  She felt whole and life was fun again.  But, the problem was that no matter how hard she tried to keep the pieces of the picture together, it didn't work.At the end of that relationship, she knew she had to take a deeper look at what was happening. Coaching finally opened her eyes to see the role she played in her life circumstances.  With greater emotional awareness and understanding, she discovered that she had been following a life blueprint that was not her own.   Nancy went from being "other referenced" (seeing her worth through the eyes of her husband) to self-referenced and  only needing her own self love and trust to know her worth.Nancy is now a master life coach and international best selling author.  She learned to reinvent herself after her marriage fell apart and she uses the tools and strategies she learned over the years to inspire others to live their best life.  She is a speaker, coach and presenter at resorts such as Rancho La Puerta. Her passion is helping others move beyond their fears and disempowering beliefs formed in their childhood.Nancy's personal life story is a testimony to her proven methods. At the age of 61, she climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, in addition to other amazing experiences and achievements that recalibrated her way of being and became her vision for a bigger life. Not everyone must climb a mountain to live larger. As her book well shows, each of our versions of a bigger life can be anything that brings elation, accomplishment, fulfillment, and connection with the spirit of who we are. Bigger Better Braver  provides the pathway to uncover our personal vision of what living bigger means and opens the door for a major life change. CONNECT WITH NANCY:  https://nancypickardlifecoach.comhttps://www.facebook.com/Nancypickardlifecoachhttps://www.instagram.com/nancypickardlifecoach/https://www.linkedin.com/in/nancy-pickard-771993a6/youtube-https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChIRgQALX2z1dFUp55g_fTgtwitter-https://twitter.com/cnancyrun CONNECT WITH COACH JON:NUTRITION: https://www.freedomnutritioncoach.com  ⁣YOUTUBE: https://jonmclernon.link/YouTubeCRUSH YOUR CRAVINGS GUIDE: https://www.freedomnutritioncoach.com/book  ⁣FREE 7-DAY CHALLENGE: https://www.freedomnutritioncoach.com/7-day-challengePODCAST: https://jonmclernon.link/btba-podcast

Founder of Club Change Jill is a Professional “student of change.” Her first job within the recreation realm was directing the department at the YWCA in Madison, Wisconsin, followed by teaching kayaking and skiing in the Alps. A decades-long MBA-fueled run, in high-tech publishing, creating, and managing many brands in the SF Bay Area and New York ended after 9/11, and a transformative week-long stay at Rancho La Puerta in 2002. The effectiveness of the program became clear with zoom sessions during the pandemic. This success spurred her to then launch Club Change, where participants support each another in making the necessary choices to enhance their bodies, minds, spirits, and communities. She guides members with kindness, breath, vision, and even some gentle movement when chanting, sitting, journaling, or speaking. What is more important in your life than your health and wellness?Jill Thiry obtained her MBA from the University of San Francisco and spent decades in high-tech publishing. 9/11 and a transformative week-long stay at Rancho La Puerta in 2002 changed everything. Her work has evolved into an 8-step process that allows you to create easily identified tasks in a way that ensures desired change. Club Change is a place where participants support each another in making the necessary choices to enhance their bodies, minds, spirits, and communities. Highlights: 1.    Life is precious – each moment, each breath and we have the opportunity to choose what we are bringing into our lives 2.    Be conscious of your choices – Just like it's OK to say YES to new things, it's OK to say NO, too! 3.    Ask: What is more important than my health and wellness?4.    Self-care is not selfish! The more people who practice self-care the more beautiful our world will be. 5.    Self-care is a time saver (I know, it sounds counterintuitive to “add” something to your already busy schedule BUT try it – you will get more done).6.    Language is important – not “should” but “I get to” and not “busy” but “full” and not “could” but “will” not “goal” but “gift.”7.    Set an alarm at night that signals you to UNPLUG8.    Start by picking ONE thing you can change that will contribute to your wholeness (exercise starts at about the 14-minute mark)9.    8 Steps: Show up for yourself, Think about it, Write it Done, Envision, Choose, Practice, Track, Share10. To create your practice fill in this sentence: I will [practice here] for a minimum of [minutes here] for [number here] times this week.11. Keywords: Kind and achievable (don't use gray area words – like “more” or “healthier” – be CLEAR on what you are choosing).12. Ask yourself why you make the choices you do.13. When you are whole and centered you are STRONGER in ALL aspects of life: school, family/friends, career, etc. There is nowhere to go but here – and it's perfect it as it is!Connect with Jillhttps://www.facebook.com/ClubChangeNowhttp://jillthiry.comGet a 10% discount by following these steps:1.     Send Jill an email at jillthiry7@gmail.com  with HAPPYDOC in the subject line. What would make you feel delicious?  That is one of my guest's favorite questions. She is Elena Sonnino, a Martha Beck life coach, yin yoga teacher, keynote speaker, cancer survivor, mom and wife.Delicious isn't usually a word we associate with our feelings, but if you think about it, isn't it great? It's yummy. It conjures up happiness and joy. And that is what Elena does in this episode, spreads joy, encourages us to inhabit our joy (yes we have a choice), and I know that I felt inspired after our conversation.Elena is on a mission to inspire individuals and groups to thrive in their lives with more curiosity, more delight and more purpose.  One of her favorite things to do when working with clients is to ask them good questions and give them space to answer. Sounds simple, but how many of us do that?Elena teaches a yearly retreat at one of my favorite destinations, Rancho La Puerta, and she has given a talk for Al Jazeera and works with humanitarian brands and organizations motivating and inspiring them. Her new book is called Inhabit Your Joy - A book of nudges. It's the perfect bedside book for you to pick up and follow a daily nudge or prompt. It helps us ask the questions of ourselves that we need to be a bit more introspective and determine what it is we need in our lives at that moment. What would make me feel delicious is YOU sharing the podcast with your friends. Jill Thiry. Teacher, Leader, Coach. Chief Energizing Officer and Founder of Club Change. Jill started many of these practices years ago and is now delighted to have them all “packaged” here for easy reference, participation and membership! After receiving her BA at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Jill followed her teaching and fitness passion as a recreation director at the local YWCA. She led aerobic dance classes before its massive popularity, attended yoga classes before its renaissance, and started a travel group for singles! She then pursued travel: two years teaching skiing and kayaking in Europe and then trekking for months through southeast Asia before her return to the United States. That initiated years of exploration of different styles and philosophies of spiritual practice. Upon her return to the US via San Francisco she earned her MBA from University of San Francisco and fortunately landed in the publishing industry. Years of successful growth ensued, managing and developing multiple international magazine brands in print, online and events. Then 9/11 hit, the economy was stalled, and her marriage was headed in the wrong direction. Jill was ready to explore her old passions with an open mind and heart. She began saying “yes” to new things, and “no” to some things. She started singing with a local threshold choir, did a teacher-training in yoga which included chanting, created a local hiking group, and started working on her own independently. Her projects varied from developing new revenue ideas to community building projects in fitness, HR, education, research, consumer publishing, and healthcare. At this critical time in 2002 Jill also began her annual visits to Rancho La Puerta, LLC, a place that helped nourish her courage and confidence in exploring new yes's and new no's in her life. In 2013, Jill moved to Tecate, Mexico to work at “the Ranch” full time. She works in guest services and fitness teaching chant, swimming, hiking pole use, created her “Set Your Ranch Intention” class, and modified an existing class for “How to Live Your Ranch Experience” at home. These “book end” classes, as she refers to the arrival and departure at the ranch, are the direct result of a lifetime of exploring the Ranch Mantra of “Siempre Mejor." We can “always better” do, act, learn, be. She has done annual goal setting with her siblings for over 20 years now, and still does. Flowing East and West: The Perfectly Imperfect Journey to a Fulfilled Life

In this episode we welcome Leslie McGuirk to the podcast.  When she was young, a teacher told Leslie she lacked creativity; she heard this same refrain from publishers years later.  And yet, Leslie knew she had something to say.  With a little nudge from an astrologer that she met when she was 19, Leslie became an internationally recognized illustrator and book author.  That nudge led to a deep curiosity about astrology.  Listen in as we hear about Leslie's journey, her strong belief that astrology is like an orchestra and with the right guide, all of us can play our most beautiful music.  We are inspired by Leslie's guidance to follow your bliss, own your gifts and never play small.     “Follow your bliss and don't be afraid, and doors will open where you didn't know they were going to be. If you follow your bliss, doors will open for you that wouldn't have opened for anyone else.”  ~Joseph Campbell   About Leslie McGuirk: Leslie McGuirk is an internationally acclaimed astrologer who is breaking new ground in the world of mental health as she collaborates with western trained doctors to put forth a new vision for holistic healing.  Her book, THE POWER OF MERCURY (Harper Collins 2016)  explains how she sees humans as having an owner's manual or pattern which is your natal chart showing where all the planets and constellations were at the time of birth.    For twenty years, she has been a presenter at Rancho La Puerta (the number one destination spa in the world) along with Red Mountain Spa, Paul Gaughin Cruise Line, Campowerment, and many corporations.   Her popular talks on astrology as human design (not fortune telling) have been breaking attendance records for years.    Leslie's passion is to instruct people how to read astrology charts.  She is the founder of The Astrology Wisdom Academy where she brings astrology to life using creativity and storytelling. Brain Health with Dr. Annie Fenn, MD: What to Eat and What to Minimize.

We are talking about brain health, and how to preserve yours. Our guest today is the amazing Dr. Annie Fenn, OB/GYN turned chef and brain health specialist. Annie explains how what we eat drastically affects the health of our brain as we age, and how good food choices can minimize our risk of Alzheimer's and other dementias. Listen on to hear what is good for your brain health and what you might want to avoid. Dr. Annie Fenn is a board-certified obstetrician/gynecologist specialized in menopausal health. After practicing medicine for more than 20 years in Jackson, WY, she realized that helping people change what they eat was just as effective a health-giving intervention as prescribing pills or procedures. She traded her stethoscope for an apron and went back to school to study culinary arts in Mexico, Italy, and at the Culinary Institute of America. In 2015, Dr. Fenn founded the Brain Health Kitchen, and evidence-based online resource about how and what to eat to resist cognitive decline. The Brain Health Kitchen Cooking School, founded in 2017, is the only school of its kind focused specifically on fending off Alzheimer's and other dementias. Students learn which foods are most neuroprotective, which ones accelerate cognitive decline, and how to prepare foods using brain-friendly cooking techniques. Dr. Fenn partners with the Aspen Brain Institute as the host and moderator of a Brain-Healthy Cooking series with leading neuroscientists and physicians in the brain health world. Dr. Fenn takes her cooking school on the road to provide classes throughout the country and abroad. Dr. Fenn lectures frequently about the impact of lifestyle and diet on Alzheimer's risk as part of the Sempre Sano Wellness Retreat in Tuscany, Italy, as a frequent Visiting Chef at Rancho La Puerta, and at diverse venues throughout the country—women's and men's groups, churches, schools, and wellness retreats. To date, more than one thousand participants have enrolled in the hands-on cooking school. Dr. Fenn serves on the Science Advisory Board for actor Seth Rogen and his wife Lauren's HFC (Hilarity For Charity) where she also creates content geared towards helping caregivers eat for brain health. She partners with Maria Shriver and the Women's Alzheimer's Movement to host events to fund grants for female-specific dementia research. She serves on the Scientific Advisory Council for the Alzheimer's Research and Prevention Foundation and is a Scientific Advisor for NeuroReserve. Dr. Fenn is currently under contract with Artisan Books for a science-based brain-healthy cookbook due out in 2022. A 25-year resident of Jackson, Wyoming, Dr. Fenn has served on the boards of Community Safety Network, Teton County Public Health Department, Teton Science Schools, and Hole Food Rescue. She partners with the local hospital to provide the Brain Works 7-day Boot Camp, a novel community-based dementia prevention program. When not developing recipes, writing, or teaching the Brain Health Kitchen method of cooking, Dr. Fenn enjoys hiking, cycling, skiing, fly-fishing, and foraging for mushrooms and huckleberries with her husband, sons, and dogs Orzo and Olive Oyl.
