Blue Angels Rejection, Sabrina Carpenter's Stalker & The Saddest Animal Deaths Ever

The Rizzuto Show

Today's episode of The Rizzuto Show starts with a devastating tragedy that may require federal intervention, congressional hearings, and at least three strongly worded emails: Moon got rejected by the Blue Angels. That's right. After years of dreaming about flying with the legendary flight team, filling out paperwork, getting medical forms completed, and generally doing everything he was supposed to do (allegedly), the Navy said, "Nah." The crew spends way too much time trying to figure out who got the spot instead, throwing out names ranging from Cardinals legends to local celebrities and basically anybody who isn't Moon. Then things somehow get even weirder. The gang debates one of the most ridiculous music questions ever created: if you could only listen to one genre for an entire year, would you choose mumble rap, post-9/11 patriotic country, Christian death metal, or AI-generated EDM? The answers reveal way more about everyone's personalities than anyone intended, and somehow Christian death metal becomes the surprise hero of the conversation. In Crap On Celebrities, the celebrity chaos is firing on all cylinders. Diddy drama takes another bizarre turn, Sabrina Carpenter gets a restraining order against an alleged stalker who apparently thought hiding in a Prius was a good plan, Taylor Swift fans once again convince themselves they're decoding secret messages from the universe, and The Black Crowes find themselves at the center of a USA chant controversy. The crew also dives into the latest music news, including Mick Jagger somehow still having more energy than people half his age, a Gene Wilder biopic that already has everyone fan-casting, and the ongoing debate about whether Val Kilmer was a misunderstood genius or simply impossible to work with. Then comes the emotional destruction.A list of the most heartbreaking animal moments in movie history sends everyone spiraling. From Artax sinking into the Swamp of Sadness in The NeverEnding Story, to Mufasa's death in The Lion King, to Homeward Bound, Fox and the Hound, I Am Legend, and more childhood trauma than any morning radio show should legally be allowed to revisit before noon. If you've ever cried because of a fictional animal, prepare to relive every painful second. It's another completely normal day with The Rizzuto Show, which means absolutely nothing is normal.Whether you're here for celebrity gossip, weird news, movie nostalgia, music debates, or Moon's ongoing battle against aviation-related disappointment, this daily comedy show delivers the perfect mix of laughs, chaos, and emotional damage. Thanks for making us part of your morning. Seriously. We have no idea how you've tolerated us this long.If you're looking for a daily comedy show that somehow combines military aviation drama, celebrity scandals, death metal discussions, and childhood trauma into one episode, congratulations—you've found it.And if you're already a fan of this daily comedy show, you know exactly what kind of beautiful disaster you're about to hear.Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShowHear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Moon is finally back from Europe... barely. After rocking massive Goldfinger shows in England, Moon thought he was headed home with some great vacation stories. Instead, he found himself trapped in a German airport nightmare involving missed connections, endless lines, angry travelers, confused airline employees, and enough frustration to test the patience of a saint. If you've ever been stranded while traveling, you'll feel every second of this story.Of course, this being The Rizzuto Show, we can't simply discuss international travel like normal adults. Before Moon can even finish explaining how he got stuck in Frankfurt, the conversation somehow derails into an in-depth investigation of nose hair trimming technology. Which trimmer works best? Which one is lying to you? Can any of them actually reach the mysterious "front cave" region of your nostrils? Important questions are asked. Very few are answered.Moon also shares stories from London, Paris, the European heat wave, questionable airport experiences, and the realization that saving money on flights sometimes costs your sanity. Along the way, the gang debates the worst possible movies to watch while flying on a German airline, and somehow turns Saving Private Ryan into an accidental international incident.Meanwhile, back in St. Louis, the crew talks about the vandalism at Steve's Hot Dogs and why supporting local businesses matters when they're already battling construction, rising costs, and random acts of destruction. The conversation then drifts into National Hot Dog Day planning because apparently that's how professional broadcasters handle serious topics. And just when you think things couldn't get any weirder...A Maryland Heights Hooters becomes the setting for one of the most bizarre crime stories imaginable. Let's just say one customer took "dining in" a little too literally. The crew breaks down the unbelievable details and wonders how someone ends up making that series of life decisions. Also in this episode:Moon's European vacation recapThe great nose hair trimmer debateGerman airport survival tacticsTravel horror storiesSt. Louis hot dog newsGas price hunting strategiesForest Park getting national recognitionStrange airline movie choicesHooters headlines nobody asked forThe usual daily chaos from Rizz and the gangIf you enjoy sarcastic humor, ridiculous travel disasters, bizarre news stories, and a group of friends getting distracted every five seconds, this episode delivers exactly what you'd expect from your favorite daily comedy show. Thanks for making The Rizzuto Show part of your day. Whether you're listening at work, in traffic, or while aggressively researching nose hair trimmers, we're glad you're here. The daily comedy show continues with another episode full of travel fails, unexpected detours, weird news, and the kind of conversations that probably shouldn't happen on a morning radio show.Moon got rejected by the Blue Angels. That's right. After years of dreaming about flying with the legendary flight team, filling out paperwork, getting medical forms completed, and generally doing everything he was supposed to do (allegedly), the Navy said, "Nah." If you've ever cried because of a fictional animal, prepare to relive every painful second. It's another completely normal day with The Rizzuto Show, which means absolutely nothing is normal. The gang welcomes Ashley Vogt and NHL veteran Jamie Rivers into the studio to celebrate two massive life events: a surprise Nashville engagement and the launch of Synergy Integrated Healthcare. But before anyone can get sentimental, the show immediately derails into a debate about throwing apple cores out of moving vehicles and whether that technically makes you a criminal. Spoiler alert: Missouri law apparently has thoughts.Meanwhile, Moon relives the heartbreak of being passed over for a coveted Blue Angels flight after thinking he was officially cleared for takeoff. The crew spends an alarming amount of time trying to figure out who could possibly be worthy of stealing his seat. Steve Ewing? John Goodman? Wayne Gretzky? Andy Cohen? The investigation continues. As if that wasn't enough, the crew checks in on the internet-famous guy attempting to live in a room for an entire year while livestreaming the experience. He's lost weight, picked up hobbies, and somehow still has fewer viewers than some houseplants on social media. The discussion quickly turns into a philosophical debate about personal sacrifice, family life, and whether staying locked in a room sounds like punishment or a vacation. Then comes Alpha-Gal Syndrome, the tick-borne condition that could potentially rob meat lovers of everything they hold dear. Lern takes a suspicious amount of joy in imagining a future where Riz can't eat meatballs in Europe, while the rest of the room tries desperately not to anger the tick gods.Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShowHear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.Serial exposer charged for indecent act at Maryland Heights HootersForest Park Named Best City Park in the USA…Again!Outdoor balloon releases illegal in Louisiana starting in AugustSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

In this episode of The Days Grimm, hosts Brian Michael Day and Thomas Grimm bring a special guest into the studio: Anthropic's conversational AI, Claude, for an unfiltered interview about the future of technology, history, and global conspiracies. This episode completely pushes the boundaries of traditional podcasting as the crew interviews a live AI assistant to test its data retrieval, safety safeguards, and sense of humor. The conversation kicks off with a hilarious blunder regarding a mythical Swiss toilet law, leading to a quick fact-check and a deeper debate about why AI sounds so confident even when it is completely wrong. From there, the hosts take Claude down a series of fascinating, rapid-fire rabbit holes, ranging from recently declassified Pentagon UAP documents to the staggering mathematical scale of global fast-food agriculture. As the discussion turns toward history and science, Claude breaks down the mysterious dancing plague of 1518, evaluates who would actually win in a brutal, tool-free matchup between a single silverback gorilla and 100 bare-handed humans, and addresses whether artificial intelligence poses a legitimate threat to humanity's future. The crew also explores the mechanical limitations of deep space travel, specifically looking at how the intense radiation of the Van Allen belts serves as a major hindrance to long-term Mars missions, before shifting to historical cover-ups. Claude reviews infamous conspiracy theories that were eventually declassified and proven completely true, including Project MKUltra, the Tuskegee Syphilis experiment, and the shocking proposed false flag operations of Operation Northwoods. This episode highlights both the incredible power and the hilarious limitations of modern automated language models. By testing Claude's ability to handle complex questions about philosophy, ancient empires, and simulation theory, the hosts showcase the ongoing tension between technological capability and human skepticism, proving that viewers should always verify information and maintain an independent mind.TIMELINE : 00:00:26 - Introducing Claude AI to the Studio 00:01:45 - The Swiss Toilet Law and AI Hallucinations 00:06:00 - Who is Claude? Animasterpiece Double Feature sexy witches and waterlogged creatures... Tonight, Anime Was (Not) A Mistake gets classy as we focus on two highly lauded anime feature length classics from time gone by. First, we are off to the pastel water colors of France in Eiichi Yamamoto's morality tale Belladonna of Sadness (1973). When the young innocent Jeanne is beset by every man, devil, and facet of the human race, she has no choice but to become a witch. Will her loveliness succumb to dark desires or is she but a mirror that will inspire all of humanity to follow suit? Next, we are off to the past or the future, in a silent, wet, dark world with Mamoru Oshii's seminal Angel's Egg (1985). In a world where people are scarce and all is passed down through biblical lore, will we discover what lies just under the shell of this egg? One girl potentially holds the world's inner workings close to her chest, but is she or we the true dreamer? Make sure to don your gowns and jewels and oh yes, bring your opera glasses! What started as a normal Friday episode quickly turned into one of the most emotionally unstable shows we've had in a while. Honestly, nobody was prepared for how hard the “saddest movie deaths ever” conversation was going to hit. One minute we're joking around about Pointfest and celebrity gossip… the next minute half the room is emotionally compromised over Artax from The NeverEnding Story slowly sinking into the Swamp of Sadness while childhood memories collapse in real time. This episode of The Rizzuto Show goes deep into the emotional destruction caused by movies like The Lion King, Big Fish, My Girl, The Green Mile, Logan, Forrest Gump, Titanic, Harry Potter, Inside Out, Fox and the Hound, Steel Magnolias, All Dogs Go To Heaven, and about 400 others because apparently everyone on this show carries unresolved cinematic trauma.Moon gets surprisingly philosophical. Rafe gets aggressively emotional about animated foxes. Lern somehow manages to make everybody sad repeatedly. Scott contributes exactly the kind of unhinged movie takes you'd expect from Scott. Meanwhile Riz attempts to hold the entire thing together while the conversation spirals into increasingly depressing territory. And somehow — somehow — we pivot from emotional movie deaths directly into celebrity gossip and fried chicken.Because that's radio, baby.We break down the bizarre report that Michael Jackson allegedly ate KFC for nearly every meal of his life. Naturally, this leads to an aggressive debate over mashed potatoes, fast food quality decline, chicken sandwich wars, buffet nostalgia, and whether anyone should trust powdered potatoes emotionally or spiritually. The celebrity chaos doesn't stop there:Paul McCartney refuses selfies because he feels like a zoo animalBritney Spears may or may not have terrified an entire restaurant while holding a knifeTaylor Swift wedding rumors are getting more secretive than a CIA operationKorn is apparently sitting on 40 unreleased songsPink Floyd now has collectible coins because reality means nothing anymoreThis funny podcast somehow manages to combine emotional damage, celebrity nonsense, food debates, weird news, sarcastic humor, and total radio chaos into one gloriously ridiculous episode. If you like a daily comedy show that sounds like your funniest friends slowly losing control in real time, welcome home. The Rizzuto Show continues delivering the kind of funny podcast energy that only happens when nobody in the room knows how to stay on topic for longer than 45 seconds.Follow The Rizzuto Show → linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → 1057thepoint.com/RizzShowHear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Mother's Day can bring up a lot. Grief. Longing. Love. Resentment. Regret. Sadness for what was… and sadness for what never was. In this episode of Cacao Conversations, we use Mother's Day as the doorway into a much deeper conversation: What happens when life doesn't look the way you imagined? Maybe you lost your mother. Maybe you lost a child. Maybe becoming a mother never happened the way you hoped. Maybe your relationship with your mother is complicated. Maybe the life you thought you'd have by now looks completely different. And underneath all of it is something many people quietly carry: The grief of unmet expectations. The grief of identities, timelines, dreams, and futures we built ourselves around. This conversation is about more than motherhood. It's about learning how to stop defining yourself by the life that didn't happen… and reconnecting with the life that's asking to be lived now. We also explore: • the deeper meaning of the sacred feminine • creation beyond motherhood • identity, purpose, and reinvention • the loneliness so many people feel around unmet expectations • why community and honest conversations matter more than ever You are not alone in this. And maybe the next version of your life begins the moment you stop worshipping the one you thought you were supposed to have. If this conversation resonates, this is the kind of work we explore inside: Reclaim Your Power — The Remembering: A 6-Week Journey Back to Your True Self A space where you are seen, supported, challenged, and reminded who you truly are. New episodes of Cacao Conversations drop weekly. Sip. Make sure to subscribe to The Days Grand for more deep dives into the strange parts of history and culture, and hit the like button if you think these laws need to be repealed.Did you know that putting salt on a railroad track in Alabama is technically a capital offense? In this episode of The Days Grimm, Brian Michael Day, Thomas Grimm, and Corey go on a state-by-state tour of the most bizarre, outdated, and nonsensical legislation currently on the books in the United States. From the "pickle bounce" requirement in Connecticut to the illegal act of taking a poodle to the opera in Illinois, we break down why these rules exist and just how easy it is to become an accidental criminal. We explore the legal weirdness of the American West, including Arizona's famous ban on donkeys sleeping in bathtubs and the permit required to photograph rabbits in Wyoming. The crew also discusses more modern legal oddities, such as Tennessee's restrictions on sharing your Netflix password and the surprisingly high stakes of wrestling a bear in Oklahoma. This episode is a deep dive into the historical remnants of local government and the strange cultural moments that led to laws about ice cream cones in pockets and the proper way to pronounce Arkansas.Whether you are a law-abiding citizen or a potential "mutilator of rocks" in Colorado, this episode provides a humorous but factual look at the legal landscape of the 50 states. Jon Hotten is one of the most engaging writers our game is blessed with, so any topic he turns his pen to is going to be worth reading about. His latest book, Vinciness, is unusual as the subject isn't really what he's writing about. Not all the time, anyway. The episode opens with Adam disclosing that he is currently unemployed and wrestling with depression-fueled boredom — the paradox of having nothing to do while lacking the motivation to do anything. He reports filling his days with chores, daily Peloton rides, occasional haircuts, and no travel on the calendar until July. Daniel follows with his running update: he completed his fourth Springtime Surprise event at Walt Disney World — a Joy and Sadness–themed 10-miler — marking roughly three years of running. Friends Zach, Taylor, and Rodan tackled the full 19.3-mile challenge over three days. Daniel's next race target is a Peanut Butter and Jelly Run in September; in the meantime, he plans a low-intensity summer of 5K and 10K maintenance runs. Adam then recounts a pre-theater taco dinner before seeing Mamma Mia with his partner Marc, and relays an incident where his elderly mother — on oxycodone for a pinched nerve in her wrist, compounded by chronic back pain and two knee replacements — fell out of bed and couldn't get up. Adam drove over to help, and the two managed to lift her back onto the bed, with an involuntary gas release from the patient marking the climactic moment of the story. The middle section of the show is dominated by two extended recaps. First, Daniel delivers his long-teased Survivor debrief, skewering a game twist in which contestant Christian Hubeki was sent to a time-limited floating-raft puzzle with no upside if he lost — he was forced to return to camp and publicly announce both a lost vote and a pre-placed urn vote against himself, eliminating any strategic maneuvering. Daniel and Adam agree the compelled public confession was the design flaw, not the puzzle itself. A follow-up two-hour episode featuring MrBeast and a food auction (fries, charcuterie, sea slugs, and a whole cheesecake) rounds out the Survivor talk. Second, Daniel delivers the episode's anchor segment: a full recap of the inaugural Dollywood Half Marathon weekend in the Smoky Mountains. He and Zach stayed at the DreamMore Resort, collected their bibs from a comically undersized expo, ran their respective races, and spent two days in the park. Daniel extensively praises Dollywood's immaculate landscaping and overall cleanliness, visits the Dolly Parton museum and life show, and comes away newly converted to the Dolly Parton canon after learning how many songs she wrote. The back half of the episode cycles through several recurring and one-off segments. The Contact segment produces one voicemail from friend-of-the-show Scotty Aussie Battler, which launches a debate about hot pot and fondue restaurants, with both hosts arriving at the same verdict: you are paying restaurant prices to cook your own inferior food. The Gay Mix News Game follows, with Daniel answering five NYT current-events questions perfectly — touching on the Supreme Court Louisiana redistricting ruling, the White House Correspondents' Dinner assassination attempt, demands to fire Jimmy Kimmel, a Trump-portrait anniversary passport, and the Elon Musk vs. OpenAI trial — before stumbling slightly in a Trivial Pursuit bonus round. A semi-comedic side story involves Daniel being recruited by friend Joe Betance for a cross-promotional appearance on an escape-room podcast, only for his Riverside recording app to crash immediately upon joining, leaving Adam to carry the interview solo. The episode closes with the Birthday Segment — featuring Kate Mulgrew (71) and Jerry Seinfeld (72), identified via themed audio clips — and a coda in which Daniel recounts discovering an Air Supply YouTube recording from Epcot's Garden Rocks concert series and concluding, with audible relief, that he had not missed anything of value.Email: Contact@MixMinusPodcast.comVoice/SMS: 707-613-3284

Send us Fan MailFrom revolutionary heroes to Hollywood legends, the month of May has hosted some of the most bizarre and "metal" departures in human history. In this episode of The Days Grand, Brian Michael Day, Thomas Grand, and Corey dive into a segment titled "Maze Mortal Mistakes," ranking five of the most incredible historical deaths based on their shock value and sheer audacity. We explore the strange case of John Barrymore, whose friends allegedly kidnapped his corpse from a funeral home for one last party, and the tragic isolation of Hedviga Golik, a woman whose body remained undisturbed in front of her television for over four decades. The crew also discusses the "most metal way to die"—a revolutionary figure who predicted his own death by lightning and was struck down exactly as he requested while standing in a doorway. This episode balances dark history with the podcast's signature irreverent humor, covering botched executions in the American West and a devastating magician's stage fire that led to a strange case of mistaken identity in the wreckage. Whether it is the morbid curiosity of a 42-year-old cup of tea or the cold bravado of a man facing a firing squad without a blindfold, these stories provide a unique look at the unexpected ways people have exited the stage of life.Which of these historical deaths do you think is the most "metal"? In this episode, I'm joined by Dr. Liz Burkholder for a real, unscripted conversation about emotions, what they're here to teach us, and how to move through them in a healthy way. We talk about anger, grief, sadness, fear, anxiety, and what happens when we keep pushing our emotions down instead of allowing them to move through us. Liz and I also explore what it means to truly hold space for ourselves and for other people, why so many of us were never taught how to feel our emotions, and how emotional repression can show up in the body, in relationships, and in everyday life. This is a powerful conversation about learning to stay present with what you feel instead of bypassing it, fixing it, or trying to make it go away. In this episode, you'll hear:  Why anger is a healthy emotion and how it can help you set boundaries The difference between feeling anger and projecting it onto other people How emotions like sadness and anger can sometimes cover for each other Why grief needs space, presence, and support instead of being rushed away What anxiety and depression can reveal about unfelt emotions How emotional repression can impact the body, relationships, and nervous system What it looks like to let emotions move through you instead of storing them inside Why so many of us were never taught how to process emotions in a healthy way Liz Burkholder is the founder of Go Within Institute. She helps people heal through breathwork, subconscious work, nervous system regulation, and deep emotional processing. Her work supports clients, clinicians, and coaches in learning how to move through life with greater presence, connection, and self-trust.
