Die Entscheidung an sich stand für unseren heutigen Gast schon sehr früh fest: sie würde Schauspielerin werden, klare Sache. Nun ist das ja erstmal ein Wunsch, der vielen jungen Menschen im Kopf herumschwirrt und von dem die Film- und Fernsehbranche von jeher profitiert - denn sie wird idealisiert. Und romantisiert. Und löst dann in der Realität dieses Glitzerige und Abgefahrende oft gar nicht ein. Das merkte auch Elena Uhlig, die sich aber schon deshalb nicht umentscheiden konnte, weil sich Mutter und Großmutter finanziell ganz schön strecken mussten, um der jungen Frau das Studium zu ermöglichen. So hielt die 1975 in Düsseldorf geborene Elena durch, auch, als es richtig schwer für sie war. Zum Glück, denn irgendwann platzte der Knoten und Frau Uhlig konnte zeigen, was sie auf dem Kasten hat, z.B. 4 Jahre lang in der Erfolgsserie "Mit Herz und Handschellen" an der Seite von Henning Baum, 2002 ging's los, oder in so großartigen Filmen wie "Alles auf Zucker" und "Klassentreffen". Inzwischen hat sich die 4-fache Mutter, die mit dem österreichischen Schauspieler Fritz Karl zusammenlebt, längst breiter aufgestellt: Sie ist ein Social-Media-Star mit über 400.000 Followerinnen allein auf Instagram.
