We’ve all heard the term Paleo, and now the latest buzz word in diet and nutrition is Keto. But what does it really mean, how does it work, and why would you consider following this type of diet and lifestyle? We discuss all this with my guest on this episode, Naomi Norwood. Naomi has been one of our clients at The Strength Code for almost 6 years now and she has shared with us her personal journey discovering the Paleo Lifestyle, how it changed her life, and how she ultimately became an expert and now serves as the President of the Ancestral Health Society (AHS). The AHS is motivated by the belief that evolution has much to teach us about healthful living and effective healing through their annual Symposium and their Journal of Evolution and Health. The AHS Symposium brings together a community of scientists, healthcare professionals, and health enthusiasts who collaborate to understand health challenges from an evolutionary perspective. The Journal is a peer-reviewed open-access journal serving academic researchers and clinical practitioners who seek to cultivate interdisciplinary collaboration to develop and test evolutionary approaches to health. Naomi has a wealth of information to give us and has also included an extensive list of resources, books and websites about Ancestral Health that are included in the Show Notes here. Through the course of me doing this podcast, I have become more and more aware of energy. The energy that surrounds us every day – the energy of our thoughts, words and actions – the energy of others – the energy of nature. I have also become more aware of how to tap into that energy – through meditation, breath work, sounds and movement. Also, by learning about ancient healing practices and chakras, mantras and ceremonies. As I gain this knowledge, I realize that I have so much more to learn and there are many paths to achieve what we define as success, or fulfillment in life, and that definition is constantly evolving. This is why I’m so very excited to introduce you to Dharma Love. Dharma is a healer, or as she puts it – a “helper” – it is not what she does, it is who she is and her mission is to help others have the most authentic relationship with themselves – to help them to awaken their own gifts. Dharma believes these powers have always been a part of us, and that they stay dormant until one is ready to acknowledge them and make these unique powers part of every day life. If you feel you’re ready for a vibrational change that will translate to the discovery of your life purpose, then I cannot wait for you to meet this beautiful being. www.iamdharmalove.com Instagram: @iamdharmalove https://linktr.ee/iamdharmalove Check out our Sound Mind & Body YouTube Channel here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4EanYu-gJYsBydq-i4vz2Q Contact Sheila with what's the most Woo-Woo thing you've ever done by visiting www.soundmindbodypodcast.com Vibrant Living Wellness Center Podcast http://bit.ly/VibrantLivingWellnessCenterPodcast Join Producer Tim Edwards on the 28-Day Cleanse! http://bit.ly/28DayDetoxCleanse If interested in producing a podcast of your own, like the Sound, Mind, & Body Podcast, contact Tim Edwards at Tim@InBoundPodcasting.com
Sheila speaks to chef, food philosopher and nutritionist Sherry Strong, the author of Return to Food and the founder of the Sweet Freedom project. Having been a full-on sugar addict and twice her present size, Sherry now inspires people to trade the white stuff for the right stuff so they can live their best life. Sherry helps people get sugar-free naturally by doing the inner work that makes eating behaviors a natural shift. As the former Victorian Chair of Nutrition Australia, Melbourne President of Slow Food, Curator & Co-Founder of the World Wellness Program, Sherry has developed coaching methodologies that have attracted elite athletes, CEO's, celebrities and billionaires who have sought Sherry out for the transformational process she now trains food coaches to apply with their clients. Find out how dangerous sugar really is, that it can be more addictive than cocaine and is related to developing dementia and Alzheimers! Yikes! Never fear - Sherry has holistic “anti-diet” strategies for ending sugar addiction while still enjoying sweet things. Sheila’s guest is Yoga Nidra expert, Dr. Hanna Chusid. Among her many years of experience and credentials she is a licensed psychologist, a mindfulness and meditation educator, a yoga therapist and teacher and a somatic healer. Dr. Chusid magically weaves all of her experience and education together into her healing and therapy and provides clients with sessions tailored to assist with their specific needs, however she calls the practice of Yoga Nidra “the gemstone” of all of these and considers it to be the “medicine of our time.” Scientifically proven to affect our biochemical and neurological systems, some of the benefits of Yoga Nidra include deep rejuvenating rest, improved sleep, increased emotional balance and regulation, energy and clarity for effortless right action, healing of trauma and daily stress, expanded and focused creativity, improved immunity, relaxation, intuition and reduced pain, anxiety and depression. The best part about Yoga Nidra is that it has no learning curve, and requires no prior experience. You can simply attend a session with an experienced practitioner, bring your yoga mat, blankets and pillow, lie down and relax through it, and reap the benefits. Deceptively simply, yet the effects are profound! Meditation Master Swami Deva Arhato and Yogi Karen Russell of YogaNoHo In this episode we continue to explore meditation with Sheila’s guests, Karen Russell, owner of Yoga Noho and Swami Deva Arhato (aka Shashi) – a Master Meditation teacher and Founder of Nirvana Yoga Shala, a yoga and meditation teacher training school and healing center in Mysore, India. Sheila recently experienced a Meditation Workshop led by Shashi at YogaNoho and was introduced to several different sutras (practices) of meditation based on sound and light. Swami Deva Arhato or Shashi -- is a Yogi, Shaman and Founder of Nirvana Yoga Shala in Mysore, India. At the age of 16 his mother’s sudden death created a deep desire to understand the meaning of life, and he started on his spiritual path. At the age of 27 he resigned from his job and started traveling to different ashrams in the Himalayas where he visited many ashrams to deepen his knowledge and in 2000 he was renamed to Swami Deva Arhato, which means “Divine Witnesser ”. In addition to being a Master Meditation Teacher, he is trained in yoga, massage, Akashic records, past life regression, Munay ki , Tantric Pulsation breathwork , Bardo and many more practices. In 2006 he started” “Nirvana Yoga Shala “ with the main intention to help spiritual seekers work simultaneously on Body, Mind, Emotion and Spirit for the multi-dimensional expansion of human consciousness. Karen Russell is a Master Yoga Teacher and co- owner of YogaNoho, but she was formerly a singer and dancer working with legends such as Michael Jackson, Madonna, Bette Midler, Kenny Chesney and Alice Cooper. A dance injury in 2000 ultimately led her to a professional yoga career and since 2005 Karen has been an active teacher, producer, community outreach representative, and owner of several yoga studios. Karen and Shashi are also partnering in a wellness channel soon to be launched this year. @nirvana_yoga_shala_mysore @Swami_deva_arhato http://mysoreyoga.in/teachers/swami-deva-arhato-founder https://www.yoganoho.com/ @yoga_noho Check out our Sound Mind & Body YouTube Channel here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4EanYu-gJYsBydq-i4vz2Q Contact Sheila with what's the most Woo-Woo thing you've ever done by visiting www.soundmindbodypodcast.com Sound Mind & Body is brought to you in part by Audible. Explore Enlighten Evolve - Celebrating 2018 Join Sheila as she celebrates a year of podcasting in 2018 with her producer Tim Edwards of The InBound Podcasting Network, the one and only Lisa May of 95.5 KLOS and Kala Maxym of 5 Senses Tastings. Kala created and presents a very special music and tasting story based on the Sound Mind & Body mantra – Explore Enlighten Evolve. Listen to the extraordinary music and tasting that Kala procured as Sheila, Tim, Lisa and Kala reflect on the year and discuss the different ways they have explored, been enlightened and evolved. EXPLORE: To seek out new experiences, information, and education with an open mind. To get outside your comfort zone and try out new territories of mind, body and soul. As Sheila says, “When I think of exploring I think of that feeling of excitement, and being a little scared when I’m trying something new. That’s what I call those woo-woo moments.” ENLIGHTEN: Through experiencing and learning, your mind, body and spirit are enlightened. You discover new thoughts and feelings, new ideas and attitudes, and new places for you to shine. The result of being enlightened is that you evolve. EVOLVE: Sheila believes this is a life purpose to do her part to evolve in this lifetime, which in turn will help the entire human race evolve. In order to evolve we must be open to explore and experience new things, new thoughts and new habits. Through that we are enlightened and see our world differently. We explored so many different topics during 2018 with all of our wonderful guests, what were some that resonated with you? The episode ends with a wonderful rendition of “Twas the Night Before Christmas” narrated by Sheila’s dad, Mike Melody aka Grampa Melody. Happy Holidays to All! It seems we are hearing more and more about sound baths these days, but what exactly is a sound bath? Do you get wet? Is it private? Sheila connected with Sound Alchemists Shanila and Gina and has tried their amazingly relaxing and healing Sound Baths in Los Angeles and they are the guests on this episode. Gina & Shanila describe their journeys in becoming Sound Alchemists and what it has done for them personally. Now they are working together creating unique and beautiful sound experiences all over Los Angeles. They use different sound frequencies and vibrations from ancient instruments like crystal singing bowls, Tibetan bowls, and gongs to revitalize the mind, body, and spirit. Their sound baths are described as an immersive journey, taking you through a deep meditation, the jungle, the ocean, and all the way to a simple happy place. All YOU have to do is lie back, relax, and let the sounds wash over you. They even treat Sheila and Tim to a mini sound bath in the studio! www.alwaysplay.org Instagram: @wealwaysplay @sha_nila @soundbathhaven Check out our Sound Mind & Body YouTube Channel here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4EanYu-gJYsBydq-i4vz2Q Contact Sheila with what's the most Woo-Woo thing you've ever done by visiting www.soundmindbodypodcast.com Sound Mind & Body is brought to you in part by Audible. In this very special episode, Sheila introduces one of her life long role models, Nancy Davidson – aka NahNah. Sheila met Nancy when she was about 24 years old, and was immediately impressed with her optimistic attitude, beauty and style. Nancy is Sheila’s son Michael’s grandmother – thus she is known as NahNah. Throughout the years Nancy has been a role model for healthy, beauty and fitness and has been imparting her knowledge and wisdom to her family and loved ones – which eventually turned into the phrase – “NahNah Says”. NahNah talks to Sheila about her early years when she worked on Park Avenue in New York City as a Dennison Copy girl and didn’t know about healthy eating, how she was introduced to nutrition and wellness by her mentor, Ruth Jarrett, and how that transformed her life forever. NahNah shares some of her top recommendations including Swedish Bitters, juice fasting, and a great exercise that only involves breathing called Oxycize, and even coffee enemas! NahNah has much more to say and we will be sharing her tips and tricks in future “NahNah Says” posts. Whether you are finding your gift, owning your sh*t or gracing yourself with mindfulness, you will benefit from this conversation with Leigh Koechner. Leigh is a speaker, parenting expert and a spiritual teacher with a Masters in Spiritual Psychology and is committed to being of service by shining her Light and sharing her story. Leigh inspires others by being unapologetically who she is – she has been described as being ballsy, vulnerable, and funny as hell – and yes, she tells you to own your sh*t! Leigh relates her journey growing up in a family of 6 children with a mother who was mentally ill and unavailable to her. She explains that when she was a child, she thought she wasn’t even worth her mom’s attention. But she has learned through her life journey to let go of that disempowering belief and use her story to impact the world, teaching others the power of being connected to your authentic self. Follow Leigh on her Facebook Live Series “33” as she discusses mindfulness, relationships, self care, FYG & GYG (find your gift and give your gift), and her own unique style of “ownersh*t”, as the parenting expert on Deepack Chopra’s JIYO app, or work with her privately. She is also holding an event in Los Angeles on March 7, 2019 “Embrace your Messy Imperfect Life”. Sheila speaks to Tamara Mark, an extraordinary woman who is the mother of two severely autistic boys. Tamara’s life story is inspiring. Tamara is an accomplished Broadway actress and dancer who started her career touring with the first International Company of “A Chorus Line”, and has worked with THE top theatrical directors and producers including Bob Fosse, George Abbot and Hal Prince. And … as if that can be topped, she was hand picked by Sidney Poitier to be one of the leads in his dance film, “Fast Forward” …and that’s how she ended up in Los Angeles. Shaken up by the sudden death of a beloved acting teacher, Tamara was driven to leave her thriving career and embark on a spiritual journey. She was called by a vision to follow an Indian Spiritual Master, Meher Baba, and although he is no longer in human form, his teachings deeply affected her. But Tamara’s true spiritual journey began when she became the mother of two severely autistic boys, who are now 20 and 17. Tamara's story is one of courage, faith, presence and true love. https://www.facebook.com/tamara.mark1 https://www.instagram.com/tamaramark27/ https://www.facebook.com/Autism-Awakenings-Musings-of-an-AutMom-852904321439259/ https://www.autismspeaks.org/about-us Check out our Sound Mind & Body YouTube Channel here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4EanYu-gJYsBydq-i4vz2Q Contact Sheila with what's the most Woo-Woo thing you've ever done by visiting www.soundmindbodypodcast.com Sound Mind & Body is brought to you in part by Audible. Part 2 of Sheila’s update with a few of our past guests who she connected with at the MindBody BOLD conference in San Diego a couple weeks ago – and in this episode we talk to Sadie Nardini and Cory Sterling. As Sheila mentioned in the last episode, MindBody is one of her favorite “conscious companies” in the world! Sheila uses their software to manage her strength-training studio (www.informfitnessla.com), and for the past 3 years she has attended their BOLD Conference -- and each year it gets better. Last year we were introduced to Sadie Nardini – she was doing a talk about making $6 figures while you sleep. That sounded pretty good to us, so we went to her seminar. We had no idea who Sadie was – and we were delighted to see this Fierce Rock Chick with a Mohawk up there talking about doing her own style of Yoga to “Guns n Roses” -- we were in! Not only was she an amazing teacher, she was so inspiring to help us find our own unique voice. After her one hour of time ended in the conference room, she told everyone to meet her at the pool bar and she continued to show us her social media tricks for at least another hour, while enjoying a glass of Pinot Grigio. What’s not to love! We had the chance to meet her again early this year at a BOLD event in Los Angeles and Sheila invited her to be on the podcast. She graciously said yes, and you can hear our first interview on Episode 26. This year at BOLD we connected again and had the chance to sit down at the same pool bar and talk about what she’s been up to. We also had the chance to catch up with Cory Sterling at BOLD. You might remember him from Episode 31 – he’s the Heart Leading Lawyer who calls his company Conscious Counsel. I actually told Cory about the MindBody BOLD conference – and sure enough, he showed up! He lives in Vancouver – that is, when he’s not traveling around the world! This was our first time meeting in person, and it was such a blast! Cory is an incredibly kind and intelligent person, who also happens to be a kick-ass attorney who leads with love. We ran into each other several times during the conference, and he was often barefoot – it’s so inspiring to see someone living and enjoying the present moment so fully, while also doing his work as an amazing attorney -- and it was great to sit down with him and find out what’s new with Conscious Counsel. http://sadienardini.com/ @sadienardinioffical www.counsciouscounsel.ca @consciouscounsel Check out our Sound Mind & Body YouTube Channel here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4EanYu-gJYsBydq-i4vz2Q Contact Sheila with what's the most Woo-Woo thing you've ever done to soundmindbodypodcast@gmail.com or visit www.soundmindbodypodcast.com Sound Mind & Body is brought to you in part by Audible. Sheila attends the MindBody BOLD conference in San Diego and touches base with former guest, Co Founder and Evangelist of MindBody, Blake Beltram. MindBody is one of our favorite “conscious companies” in the world! Sheila uses their software to manage her strength training studio (www.informfitnessla.com). MindBody’s biggest event is the BOLD conference, where they bring together thousands of wellness and beauty companies from around the world to learn, play and inspire. Sheila and her lead trainer Ann Kirkland (Ep. 11) have attended BOLD for the past 3 years and each year it gets better, they meet amazing people, have a great time, and come back inspired to continue to do their part for the Wellness Revolution! Each year there are amazing speakers as well – the first year it was Deepak Chopra, last year Ariana Huffington and Magic Johnson, and this year – Michelle Obama! Blake Beltram kicked-off the conference this year and gave an incredibly heart-felt, emotional, and inspiring talk. Sheila had a chance to sit down with him and have a one-on-one later that day and discuss a recent “dark night of the soul” he experienced, which he calls a “nervous breakthrough”, his 12 year old daughter meeting and introducing Michelle Obama at the conference, and his latest vision – the MindBody Mindfulness Tour. www.mindbodyonline.com Instagram: @blakebeltram @mindbody Check out our Sound Mind & Body YouTube Channel here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4EanYu-gJYsBydq-i4vz2Q Contact Sheila with what's the most Woo-Woo thing you've ever done to soundmindbodypodcast@gmail.com or visit www.soundmindbodypodcast.com Sound Mind & Body is brought to you in part by Audible. In this episode, Sheila speaks to Dr. Suzanne Schiller, a Holistic Chiropractor who specializes in women’s wellness and uses a method called Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy, or ATMAT. ATMAT is founded on ancient Mayan techniques of abdominal massage, which increases circulation of blood, lymph, nerve, hormone and energy within your belly, whole body and energy system. It also teaches you daily self-care tools so you can stay healthy and vital. As a life-long investigator, Suzanne has explored meditation practices since the age of 5, spent decades honing her intuition by reading energy patterns in herself and others, and adventured deep into healing frontiers of movement, somatic arts, and ritual. She is a true holistic energy healer and this extremely powerful therapy is only one of the healing methods Suzanne uses in her practice. Sheila also describes working with Suzanne in an energy healing session and the profound insights that came from the therapy. In this episode we are talking about the Fat Positive Movement! Sheila’s guest is Kathy Deitch, actor, activist and Co-Host of the Plus This! Show. After discovering that 67% of American women are a size 14 or above, Kathy and her co-host Eva Tingley felt that the moment has arrived for media, entertainment and fashion to catch up with content for this under-served majority and they started the vodcast. Plus This! features pop-culture, fashion, and current debates regarding food and health, the societal negativity and stereotypes that surround women who dare to take up a little bit of space. Kathy is a New York transplant who was in the original Broadway companies of FOOTLOOSE and WICKED and her Los Angeles acting debut was at the Hollywood Bowl in RENT directed by Neil Patrick Harris. Kathy also played Catherine/Senator Martin in the LA cast of SILENCE! Get the Kleenex ready! In this highly emotional and personal episode, Sheila is taken through a personal example of the deep and powerful therapy called Eidetic Imagery, by her guest, Wendy Yellen, one of the Top 3 transformational experts in the field of Eidetic Image Psychology. An eidetic image is a type of vivid mental image, not necessarily derived from an actual external event or memory, which can help someone to come to terms with events and feelings that occurred in the past and are still buried deep in the subconscious. Wendy is a former psychotherapist who closed her waiting-list-only private practice when she found that none of the traditional and non-traditional therapies she was certified in were enough to help people really change in the ways they were seeking. Years later, she was re-introduced to the father of Eidetic Imagery, Akhter Ahsen, and she knew she had found the Holy Grail of transformation. Wendy works with people who are ready to let go of the old “change paradigm” and are ready to expand their connection to their self and heart, in their very own, unique way. https://wendyyellen.com/spiritualmanifesto Contact Sheila with what's the most Woo-Woo thing you've ever done to soundmindbodypodcast@gmail.com or visit www.soundmindbodypodcast.com Sound Mind & Body is brought to you in part by Audible. In fact, your body is actually endowed with many self-defense measures to hold on to fat. Sheila’s guest is Dr. Sylvia Tara, author of the The Secret Life of Fat. Dr. Tara brings together cutting-edge research with historical perspectives to reveal fat’s true identity: an endocrine organ that, in the right amount, is critical to our health. Sheila’s guest is Ian Morris, a multi-instrumentalist, poet, artist, intuitive healer and the founder of Listening to Smile – a unique sound wellness and healing modality based around sacred concepts of sound and vibration. Ian Morris began his personal journey with the wellness and healing potentials of sound and specific frequencies while working with Homemade Genius, a non-profit organization he established in 2004 that worked with underserved children. Homemade Genius used music as a tool for promoting creativity and connection with children. Through those experiences, Ian began to notice significant improvements in overall attention, engagement, confidence and even academic performance with the kids. In 2011, Ian experienced his own healing journey using music when he became ill with an ambiguous disorder. He built his own “sound table” and began to use sound and frequency treatments on himself, and eventually lost over 100 lbs and cured himself. He started sharing his “sound table” with family and friends, and as they listened and felt the vibrations, they would always begin to smile. Thus, Listening to Smile was born, and now continues to utilize and share the healing force of sound and meditation paired with collective intention. In this episode, we are talking about consciousness and energy and what is possible. Sheila’s guest is Mylene Aldrich, an energy healer and body therapist who uses a method called “Access Consciousness”, created by Gary Douglas and Dr. Dain Heer. It’s a different point of view about life, allowing you to change anything you cannot change and create everything you desire in a different and easier way. Access Consciousness is based on the idea that consciousness can shift anything. A belief that there is an infinite array of possibilities from which you can choose anything that would be wonderful for you and practitioners like Mylene assist you in opening up your energy to access those possibilities. Sheila relates her experience working with Mylene and pondering the questions: What else is possible? How does it get any better than this? You may have heard the term “Functional Medicine” being thrown around lately, but what exactly does it mean? In this episode, we welcome back Dr. Sandeep Kapoor (Ep.7) who is incorporating Functional Medicine into his practice. Dr. Kapoor has recently taken the specialized certification courses with the Institute for Functional Medicine and explains this holistic approach of determining how and why illness occurs by addressing the root causes of disease for each individual. “I listen to my patients – rather than focusing on the presentation of the disease and its symptoms, I find out what makes them tick and what life experiences have helped to shape their health. When she was 24, Elysia diagnosed her own stage-3 breast cancer, and when her doctor dismissed it, she scheduled and paid for her own biopsy, which confirmed her diagnosis and saved her life. In 2012, she began teaching meditation and mindfulness to teens and young adults as a method of disease prevention and has since gone on to educate the corporate world about the powerful effects of mindfulness in the workplace. Many of her high profile clients seek her guidance on daily mindfulness and meditation techniques to handle their busy lifestyle. Sheila’s guest is Dr. Sherrill Sellman; a naturopathic doctor, author, and international lecturer who talks about the health risks of exposure to Electro Magnetic Frequencies – or EMF’s. Like cigarettes and the toxic chemicals before it, emerging science is revealing the concerning reality that some people may suffer health impacts from radiation from wireless devices. Although these frequencies are invisible to us, they surround us on a daily basis through the use of cell phones, iPads, computers, wifi, Bluetooth technology, smart meters – it’s endless. And it’s only growing as 5G technology is rolling out everywhere. Dr. Sellman discusses how our devices and technology are affecting our health, and what we can do to protect ourselves by changing how we interact with our wi-fi world from using proprietary technology that works with our devices, turning our cell phones on airplane mode and turning off our wifi routers at night, to hard wiring our computers again. Sheila and Dr. Sherrill promote the important documentary GENERATION ZAPPED, a powerfully moving and thought-provoking documentary, daring to shine a light on this invisible inconvenience, and empowering audiences to understand how to reduce their exposure to protect themselves and their families. This episode is a MUST LISTEN for everyone, and especially for those who have children, grandchildren, nieces or nephews or any young people in their lives because they are the one’s who will be the most impacted. www.whatwomenmustknow.co https://generationzapped.com/ Generation Zapped Trailer: https://www.google.com/search?q=generation+zapped+trailer&rlz=1C5CHFA_enUS503US503&oq=generation&aqs=chrome.3.69i57j0l2j35i39j0l2.5772j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8 The Sound Mind & Body Podcast is brought to you in part, by audible - get a FREE audiobook download and 30-day free trial at www.audibletrial.com/InBound. He explains the acronym YAPFISH, “You Always Pay For It Some How” and how he and his band mates came up with that after experiencing the alternate reality of life in a professional band touring and recording. Sheila speaks to Nicola Berlinsky, the drummer for the band No Small Children, and an elementary school teacher. Nicola details how she got into teaching, her 26 years of experience, and the book she is writing for teachers on how to create an original play with students each year based on a historical moment of change that challenged inequality and the status quo. But that is only the tip of the iceberg with this amazing woman! Nicola also opens up about the grief of realizing that she and her husband would not be able to have children. After going through an intense mourning period she turned it around at 40 years old by getting back into music. That led to her creating No Small Children with fellow teacher, Lisa P (Episode 8) and Joanie P and they are now breaking out everywhere! An extremely active person, Nicola also had a serious back injury – twice -- that she came back from and describes the early warning signs and how she healed. Her latest achievement is being sworn in as a CASA advocate for foster children in the Los Angeles Court System, something she decided to do after a trip to Nepal where she and her husband visited a wonderful foster home there called Ama Ghar and that inspired her to find a way to work with children. Nicola’s woo-woo moment was during the Harmonic Convergence of 1987 – remember that? The Harmonic Convergence was one of the world's first globally synchronized meditation events, which occurred on August 16–17, 1987. This event also closely coincided with an exceptional alignment of planets in the Solar System. www.nosmallchildren.com www.casaforchildren.org https://www.facebook.com/amaghar

Max and co-creator, Mark J. Francis, were able to capture the daily routine and rituals of monks and nuns on a quest to develop a deep sense of presence. Max describes the experiential approach they took to create the “visceral and immersive experience” audiences around the world have been able to enjoy. Distributed through Theatrical on Demand, Sheila was able to become a Movie Captain and show the film in her local city in November 2017. It was a wonderfully serene and meditative experience to watch this beautiful movie and feel the calmness while sitting in a theatre, where we normally experience special effects, intense drama and non-stop scene changes. www.walkwithmefilm.com
