Nick shares the unlikely inspirations behind the track, from the storytelling style of Meat Loaf to the influence of Lynyrd Skynyrd's use of slide guitar. The conversation dives into the song's rapid creation and evolution, its nostalgic lyrics, and the emotional depth it captures. They also reflect on working with producer Bill Stevenson, the band's DIY punk rock roots, and the lasting legacy of The Swellers. Early in Drake's career, Kanye West was a mentor, of sorts, to him. West directed his “Best I Ever Had” music video and produced “Find Your Love.” By 2018, Drake and Kanye West had beef, though, surprising many. Originally, Pusha T targeted Drake, back in 2012, and Kanye West stopped this beef. However, when Pusha targeted him, in 2018, Kanye was silent, as the rappers traded insults with each other. Now, it has all come to an end. Last night, on Twitter, Karen Civil inadvertently spilled some major tea. According to her, Drake and Kanye West no longer have beef. Kia Shine aka Kinfolk himself joins The Super Facts Show for an overview of his life and career. In no particular order, we discuss his coffee themed podcast with his wife, making a 2009 song with Maino and Young Dro, not being credited for writing on Drake's "Best I Ever Had", fighting for and receiving 25% of the songwriting credit, releasing Yo Gotti's first album on his independent label, his time on the infamously legendary TVT Records, his acting career, doing a voice role for Red Dead Redemption 2, appearing in Atlanta, how he embraced positivity, his upcoming lead role in a Netflix movie which also stars Jamie Foxx & John Boyega, and much more. Episode 4: Today's episode is not warm or fuzzy. It's Professional wrestling! Ain't nothing warm or fuzzy about it. There have been some adorable wrestling couples who have stood the test of time. I will not be telling you those stories. I will leave that to my brothers and sisters currently living them! I will be talking about the scandalous, missteps I like to call the web of shame. In this episode, I have the opportunity to sit down with The Sweller's drummer Jonathan "Jono" Diener. Jonathan is also the front man for his most recent musical project Baggage. He's also in the musical projects Braided Veins and No Trigger. Jonathan has recently been working to promote his new coffee company Rootless Coffee out of Flint Michigan where he lives. Jonathan and I talk about marketing, creativity, and identity, and how they are all interconnected when it comes to pursuing new projects. Whether it be playing in bands, starting companies, or writing blogs and articles, Jono does a great job at juggling a lot of plates and producing a lot of really cool things. It was a pleasure to talk with him, and I think anyone with a passion for creativity and art will take something away from our conversation. Enjoy! The Swellers were an American punk band from Flint, Michigan. Their music is influenced by melodic punk rock bands as well as alternative and indie rock from the 1990s. It was announced April 22, 2011, through Alternative Press that the new album titled Good For Me would be released on June 14, where one of the new tracks called "Best I Ever Had" could be streamed. In April 2012 they announced their departure from the Fueled by Ramen label. They would release a 7" (Vehicle City Blues) on Side One Dummy Records. On October 16, The Swellers self-released an EP entitled Running Out Of Places To Go. It is composed of five songs that the band recorded and produced independently. The Swellers signed to No Sleep Records in May 2013 and announced in August 2013 that they would be releasing their 4th full length, The Light Under Closed Doors, on October 29. On April 15, 2014, The Swellers announced via Facebook their release of "B-sides and Rarities." On June 24, 2014 they announced via Facebook and Twitter that they are breaking up and booking farewell shows. In February and March 2015, the band performed at Soundwave festival in Australia. On May 1, 2015, they played their last show at Groezrock. LET'S CONNECT: Kyle's Instagram Kyle's Facebook Email: Kyledevlinfitness@gmail.com

Hosts Mark and Enbani get to know each other on a completely new level, talking love (or something like it). In this episode, our hosts dissect the 10-song playlists they each made to show the arc of a relationship (beginning, middle and end), leading them to question what they've learned about themselves in the process. Listen to the playlists on our website here or on Spotify. After convincing Mark not to make a playlist of only "Our Song by Taylor Swift" we left this week's theme Soundtrack to a Relationship to the experts. Enbani pinpoints Mark's love language (it's punk rock) and reflects on overcoming insecurities (Focus on You by KYLE). If you're curious about their romantic sides, you'll learn their views on marriage (Archie, Marry Me by Alvvays), how their perceptions of love have changed over time (Best I Ever Had by Drake), the relationship to music they hope their partners will have and the deal breakers that are doomed to end in heartache. This episode also serves as a preview of the nine-part series Enbani continues to pitch to us producers about Toronto's own Champagne Papi, Drake.
This is a cover of Drake and Artic Monkeys. Best I Ever Had it's a song of Drake. Do I Wanna Know it's a song of Artic Monkeys.

Drake's So Far Gone mixtape was released 10 years ago. Many at the time didn't think Drake would go on to become the star he is today. The mixtape dropped on February 13, 2009, under Drake's label October's Very Own. Tracks like Best I Ever Had and Successful grew into huge hits and put Drake on the map. In honor of its 10 year anniversary, Dead End Hip Hop looks back at Drake's So Far Gone mixtape and discuss it impacts on hip hop culture. Thanks to an early partnership with Drake, hip-hop producer Boi-1da helped define a new sound of Toronto. Playing yin to Noah "40" Shebib's yang, he made his mark with hit songs like "Best I Ever Had" and contributions to Eminem, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Meek Mill and more. In his lecture at the Red Bull Music Academy Bass Camp Montreal 2017, he talks making global hits "Work" for Rihanna and "Controlla" for Drake, reimagining dancehall for the streaming generation, and the music business.
This week is a Drake special, from "Best I Ever Had" to "God's Plan" and everything in between, from Drake's meme-ability to his emotional moments and how he may have reinvented a genre. Also, Cian was over in London to see Jessie Ware, is Lil Dicky gonna be the new Luis Fonsi? and, as always, the top ten tracks of the last two weeks which includes a track from, you guessed it, Drake! This really is a Drake extravaganza. as always you can check out all these songs on our Spotify page. Just user search for Selected Podcast or follow the link in the bio.
