Sacred Window Podcast: Nurturing Awareness in Postpartum Care
In this episode, Christine discusses the importance of flexible postpartum planning on the Sacred Window Podcast. She emphasizes the need to adapt plans to accommodate unexpected challenges, rather than rigidly adhering to a set schedule. Christine highlights the significance of food, rest, and community support in postpartum care. She shares personal experiences, such as preparing easy recipes for family members to help with meals. Christine also stresses the importance of mental and emotional well-being, advocating for rest and prioritizing joy. She concludes by encouraging listeners to create a nourishing, flexible postpartum plan that includes a support network. Christine acknowledges that while the postpartum period can be challenging, it is also a time of profound transformation and growth. She encourages listeners to approach this transition with a spirit of curiosity and self-discovery, rather than fear or anxiety. By being open to the unexpected, Christine believes women can tap into their innate resilience and find new depths of strength and wisdom. She reminds her audience that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to postpartum care, and that the key is to listen to their own bodies and intuition to determine what they need most. Furthermore, Christine emphasizes the importance of community support in the postpartum period. She stresses that no one person, whether a partner, family member, or professional caregiver, can shoulder the entire burden of postpartum care. Christine encourages listeners to build a "care circle" of trusted individuals who can provide practical, emotional, and spiritual support in a variety of ways. By cultivating this network of care, Christine believes women can feel truly held and nourished, allowing them to focus on their own healing and bonding with their new baby. Know more about Christine Christine is the Center's Founder, Director and one of its Instructors since its inception in 2018. She has a background as an Ayurvedic Practitioner, Educator, Group Facilitator and Birth and Postpartum Doula. She is a busy mother of 4 boys, most of whom have been brought into the world using the principles we teach. She describes Ayurvedic Postpartum Care as truly powerful and transformative, and a missing link in modern postpartum care. Christine lives in Western Massachusetts with her pack of wild boys and amazing husband. Her love of this work continues to evolve as she focuses on the subtle changes people go through not only in postpartum, but throughout life, and how attending to the heart, mind and senses during all times of transition pave the way for healing of the body. Healing for the postpartum window is applicable ongoing as we navigate life as parents, partners and people wanting to do our best in the world! It takes many tools to truly support one's self in a truly holistic way. Yes, I know I said truly twice. I said it twice because I firmly believe in utilizing every possible tool in the universe to aid in my understanding and betterment of myself. This leads me to astrology. What is it? Why use it? Is it just those blurbs in the newspapers next to the funnies? Or is it another tool to help those searching for more resources? In this episode, Toni and Lesley interview career coach Bev Nickson. Bev shares her expertise in navigating career transitions, optimising LinkedIn profiles, and overcoming the challenges of job searching. With valuable insights on the importance of self-branding and maintaining a positive mindset, this episode is a must-listen for anyone looking to take their career to the next level. KEY TAKEAWAYS When applying for jobs online, ensure your CV is applicant tracking system (ATS) friendly by avoiding PDFs and excessive white space, as the computer scans for keywords. Highlight your unique selling points and transferable skills on your CV to stand out to potential employers. Embrace career changes as opportunities for growth and development, rather than viewing them as setbacks. Invest in your continuous professional development by identifying skill gaps and taking courses to fill them. Utilise your existing network, especially on LinkedIn, to explore new career opportunities and gain valuable advice. Be cautious when seeking career advice from family members, as they may prioritise their personal desires over your professional goals. Self-branding is crucial when establishing yourself as a consultant or entrepreneur, focusing on showcasing your expertise and successes. Maintain a positive mindset during career transitions by reframing unemployment as a time to explore new opportunities and focus on your strengths. BEST MOMENTS "It's about saying what you can do and talking about the work that you've been doing with other people and the successes you've had." "If you can set that first goal of saying, right, what can I do? If it's a product, can I price it up? How much will sell? What, who else is a competitor around here? And what are they selling that? And can I offer something different than you're offering?" "A lot of families don't like you to move out of their comfort zone. And if that means that you have to work away or, or whatever, they do get a bit like, why don't you stay here? Why don't you just stay in the job? Or why don't you just stay and that's from their personal want for you, not professional." "Every day is a school day, especially with us." Hi everyone!Welcome back to The Truth About Addiction. Today's guest is a very special man with a powerful message. He's a living embodiment of what happens when an addict changes the trajectory of their life and steps into their purpose. For more on Mike Fiore, check out his bio below:Michael Fiore is the Outreach Coordinator for Voices for Awareness and ProjectFacing Fentanyl (Home of National Fentanyl Prevention and Awareness Day, August21). Michael is C.E.O. & Founder of Inspire 2 Inspire providing resources to addicts in recovery nationwide. He was born and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y.C., and now resides in California. Addiction was a common theme throughout Michael's life. His parents were both addicted. He lost two grandmothers to alcoholism, a grandfather to heroin, and his uncle to heroin. Michael's parents were good people. They provided for and loved him but were not always present in his life, making it easy for him to begin experimenting with drugs. Michael was looking for validation from the outside world because he didn't get it at home. He became a "people pleaser" in hopes that everyone would be his friend. Michael couldn't find value in himself, lying and manipulating to get people to like him. Using drugs allowed him to suppress those feelings. Drugs were the solution to the problem. Michael's drug use lasted 20 years. In 2009 Michael lost his father to aids. He lived in and out of jails and institutions. After 12 years of using high doses of Methadone, Michael detoxed off Methadone in 2021. Just a couple of weeks after detoxing, on Thanksgiving 2021, Michael's mother died from aids. Michael was living in treatment at the time. While in treatment, Michael started his nonprofit Inspire 2 Inspire, working to support the recovery community. He is now a resource for addicts across the country. Mike graduated from treatment in May 2022. Twenty years of living in active addiction have given Mike a unique perspective. He has a "life education" that cannot be taught through formal education. Michael understands the value of a person's story and believes that "our stories lie in what we overcome, not what we have done."Michael has a passion for public speaking. His inspirational talks have become well-known in the recovery and fentanyl prevention communities. His high energy and positive attitude have been an asset to growing his advocacy portfolio. As Community Outreach Coordinator for Voices For Awareness Foundation and Project Facing Fentanyl, he successfully brings families affected by fentanyl poisoning together with people in recovery, building an army for his " 1 Voice Project". Working in the recovery community has given him experience working with churches, nonprofits, the homeless, human trafficking victims, and domestic violence victims, and his job as a Group Facilitator.Support the Show.#thetruthaboutaddiction#sobriety#the12steps#recovery#therapy#mentalhealth#podcasts#emotionalsobriety#soberliving#sobermindset#spirituality#spiritualgrowth#aa#soberlife#mindfulness#wellness#wellnessjourney#personalgrowth#personaldevelopment#sobermovement#recoveroutloud#sobercurious#sobermoms#soberwomen#author#soberauthor#purpose#passion#perspective

Conflict is going to happen in a healthy relationship. And more often than not, conflict starts with something laughably small - from doing dishes, to making food, and even how to decoratively light a podcast. But underneath the menial cause of conflict always lies a much deeper need that isn't being met. I'm joined on this episode by my partner, Kelly Gardner, a Relationship Coach and Men's Group Facilitator, and as you'll hear, we couldn't even record this podcast without a small conflict of our own. Yes, it was something super small (how to decoratively light this episode for video) which we playfully recount, but then take you through our thorough resolution and beautiful potential of the conflict repair process. Kelly and I also have spots open now for 2-on-2 Couples Coaching (apply here). These sessions are focused on breaking down walls, solidifying your relationship foundation, improving your sex life and designing the most supportive, fulfilling and loving relationship. In this episode, Kelly and I talk about: Why conflict is so often over small things One partner taking leadership on certain things in a relationship Compassionate communication Assuming positive intent in others Trusting your partner through conflict Expressing your needs and asking for your needs to be met How to fully resolve a conflict in a relationship The repair process of conflict Discovering breakthroughs through conflict The essential elements of repairing conflict in a relationship How conflict is an opportunity to deepen your relationship Also, my new book is officially out! It's called “You Grow Me: The Next Level Human Philosophy of Love, Sex and Romantic Connection” co-written by Dr. Jade Teta (Next Level Human podcast). Welcome to Episode 06 of The Living Process. Greg's guess is Yehudit First, a qualified Body Psychotherapist and Group Facilitator as well as a Focusing Oriented Therapist and a Focusing Coordinator from Israel. Yehudit is experienced as a therapist for individuals and couples, as well as a popular teacher and trainer of Focusing and FOT. She is well-known for her development of the Focusing space into explicit interpersonal interaction in the form of Social Oriented Focusing (SOF). In a gentle Focusing environment, SOF allows delicate issues of human relationships to be explored while really meeting each other. Yehudit teaches SOF online to international Focusers, and uses it to facilitate individual, group and couple therapy processes in her clinic and via Zoom. For more information on her trainings see: https://www.focusing-first.com/sof In this session Yehudit and Greg speak about her way of developing from a body therapist to integrating Focusing and felt sensing into her practice with individuals and also with couples. In the couple work Yehudit includes aspects of social oriented focusing (SOF) in order to help couples speak from their present moment experiencing and then respond to what the other person has shared about their bodily presence. She then describes the SOF process in some detail, with dyads working together in specific ways, and also with larger group work. It is a fascinating process of expanding our usual Focusing awareness into a broader awareness of how to be authentic with oneself and each other while feeling grounded and safe. The Social Oriented Focusing model is an exciting and needed development within Focusing and happily Yehudit tells us that a book is in process.

It's tempting to want to play the role of “superhero” in a relationship - the guardian, the savior, the teacher, or the protector. But over-prioritizing their needs over your own often has a villainous effect on a healthy relationship. Because if all of your focus is on their safety, wellbeing and nurturing, you then neglect what's more important - your own. My partner, Kelly Gardner, a Relationship Coach and Men's Group Facilitator, and I have identified two (comically labeled) archetypes of the kinds of superheroes we often see in relationships: -Captain Save-A-Hoe: the man here to “save” and “heal” a broken partner. -Queen Change-A-Dick: the woman on a mission to help the lost boy grow into a great man. Today we'll explain why you need to stop prioritizing your partner's needs over your own, and how the foundation of a healthy relationship is really built on focusing on yourself, first. In this episode, Kelly and I are talking about: Why men often want to feel like a “savior” in a relationship Power dynamics in relationships Why women often put aside their own needs in a relationship How to balance giving and receiving in a relationship Expanding your sense of self in a relationship Waiting to be chosen by someone How prioritizing yourself first contributes to a better relationship Managing sexual energy inside and outside your relationship Including your partner in your life How to make your partner feel chosen Apply for Couples Coaching with Kelly & Emily CONNECT WITH KELLY GARDNER Website: https://www.kellygardner.com Instagram @iamkellygardner FB: https://www.facebook.com/connectwithkellygardner CONNECT WITH EMILY Book A Private Coaching Call With Emily To Work Together Get Your Free Guide “The Four Tools Missing From Your Relationship” here Join Emily's email list here Instagram: @emilygoughcoach Email: info@emilygoughcoaching.com REFERENCES Episode 377 | Hope After Heartbreak: Our Love Story With Kelly Gardner Episode 359 | Building A Community Of Better & More Present Fathers With Kelly Gardner Episode 364 | Not All Men, But Almost Always With Traver Boehm Of Man UNcivilized
In the spring of 2019, two women in the Jewish community met and discovered that they shared a mutual need. Despite their experiences of personal healing, and despite supportive connections with family and friends, they each lived with their individual secret. With nobody else to share and identify with, loneliness and isolation were a burden that did not get any lighter with the passage of time. Thus, the realization dawned that perhaps at times even more meaningful than professional help, survivors and their families need community. And their efforts proved to be groundbreaking. What began with just one small support group, and within a short amount of time, Ray of Hope developed into an organization entirely and exclusively devoted to the care of male and female survivors of sexual abuse and their families, with membership spanning across the US and abroad. Their Bottom Line: Even one person or family struggling with the isolation and loneliness caused by sexual abuse is too many. David Kohn, LCSW, CASAC is their Chief Clinical Officer and Dr. Shoshana Friedman, Psy.D. is a Group Facilitator. Have Questions, Comments, Concerns? Step into this week's episode as Elise takes us on a journey of channeling, building a relationship with the universe, and surrendering to the unknown. As someone who has always been fascinated with these topics, I am so happy to share my conversation with Elise with you! Elise Breathwaite is an Oracle Soul Mama, Channel, Speaker, and Group Facilitator based in Canada. I met Elise during a collaboration with over 45 soul entrepreneurs in a project called The Vault, and we immediately clicked. I love her deep connection to the Mystery and her love for channeling, energetic clearing, and most of all being a modern-day mystic — someone that lives deep spirituality in the day to day things. During our conversation, Elise shares her experiences with the practice of channeling spirits and connecting with the universe. She explains that when you allow the universe to know that you're starting to see and listen, it starts opening up pathways for guidance and wisdom to flow. We also discussed the idea of bringing through one's purest passions, and how this can create a reciprocal energy within the universal experience. So if you're curious about exploring the realms of channeling, energetic clearing, and making yourself available for the great Mystery, join us in our conversation and learn from Elise's brilliant insights. My guest on this episode is my partner, Kelly Gardner. He and I met when he was a guest on this podcast (Episode #359 “Building A Community Of Better & More Present Fathers” With Kelly Gardner) talking about his work as a Personal Growth Coach and Men's Group Facilitator. At the time, it was just an interview. But, things quickly changed, and I can honestly say this is the best romantic relationship I've ever experienced. I want to share our relationship story - one that involves long distance, children from a previous marriage, mutual past relationship heartbreak and a healthy share of conflict. But moreso, I want to share Kelly's remarkable approach to communication, personal integrity, conflict resolution, co-parenting and formulating - and reformulating - agreements within a romantic relationship. I hope this episode inspires you the way Kelly has inspired me to allow unwavering curiosity and self-love to guide you to a relationship that fills every inch of your soul. In this episode, Kelly and I are talking about: How we began dating while living in different countries Premonitions, intuition and manifesting Setting clear agreements in relationships “Touristing” - hooking up with people on dating apps while on vacation Masculine vs Feminine integrity Conflict resolution in relationships Co-parenting and maintaining a relationship with your ex Bringing children into a new relationship How past relationship pain can lead to greater future relationships A little more about Kelly: With over 25 years of experience in education, Kelly has taught some form of personal growth to every stage from preschool through graduate school. His early training in drama therapy, non-violent communication, and childhood development combine with his more recent experiences in parenting, personal development and leadership to create a unique approach to helping individuals grow their most loving relationships. Kelly's greatest joy is sharing his life with Emily and his two boys. Kelly and I plan on creating some incredible relationship and personal growth content together - which topics would you like to hear more about? Join us weekly for encouragement, skills, and expertise. Tune in to episode #7 of the Choosing to Stay podcast, where Stephanie engages in a thought-provoking dialogue with a distinguished guest, Danielle Lew. Danielle expounds on her experience of electing to remain in a relationship while leveraging her proficiency in the field. She underscores the significance of approaching partner betrayal through the prism of trauma, seeking assistance and therapeutic aid from certified experts and practitioners, and also reveals a tale of redemption. About Danielle Lew: Danielle is no stranger to hurt, depression, anxiety, addiction, and betrayal trauma; both in her childhood and in her marriage. She is married to Derek and while she knew early on of his addiction to substances, she did not know there was another addiction lurking in the background. Pornography. She recalls saying, “But I know he would never cheat on me…”. It wasn't until several years and 3 children later that God led Danielle opened up Derek's laptop to see the truth - he was acting out. She didn't realize that the addiction to substances and pornography fueled one another in an insidious cycle of drugs, porn, guilt, shame, drugs, porn, guilt, shame… Danielle realized quickly that no matter what her husband was doing or not doing, she was responsible for herself. This was liberating and empowering. She worked on healing wounds, developing boundaries, and putting her faith in Jesus; not in her husband. She knew she had to surrender Derek at the foot of the cross. Derek ultimately chose to fight for their marriage and they are now experiencing redemption in their 20+ years together. Danielle helps women as a Coach (APSATS trained) and as a Group Facilitator through her practice Danielle Nicole Coaching & several other Christ-Centered organizations She is passionate about helping women & couples live an abundant life by finding their identity in Christ and taking back any areas of the body, mind, and spirit that the enemy has tried to steal, kill, or destroy! Michael Fiore is the Outreach Coordinator for Voices for Awareness and Project Facing Fentanyl (Home of National Fentanyl Prevention and Awareness Day, August 21). Michael is C.E.0. & Founder of Inspire 2 Inspire providing resources to addicts in recovery nationwide. Michael was born and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y.C., and now resides in California. Addiction was a common theme throughout Michael's life. His parents were both addicted. He lost two grandmothers to alcoholism, a grandfather and uncle to heroin. Drugs were the "solution to the problem”. While in treatment, Michael started his nonprofit - Inspire 2 Inspire, working to support the recovery community. He is now a resource for addicts across the country. Mike graduated from treatment in May 2022. Twenty years of living in active addiction have given Mike a unique perspective. He has a "life education" that cannot be taught through formal education. Michael understands the value of a person's story and believes that "Our stories lie in what we overcome, not what we have done." His inspirational talks have become well-known in the recovery and fentanyl prevention communities. His high energy and positive attitude have been an asset to growing his advocacy portfolio. As Community Outreach Coordinator for Voices For Awareness Foundation and Project Facing Fentanyl, he successfully brings families affected by fentanyl poisoning together with people in recovery, building an army for his "1 Voice Project". Working in the recovery community has given him experience working with churches, nonprofits, the homeless, human trafficking victims, and domestic violence victims, and his job as a Group Facilitator. Karl Maier is the Founder and Group Facilitator at Abunden, which offers CEO roundtable groups to connect with like-minded leaders, break free from isolation, and gain insights to thrive. He has worked in various roles, including systems and processes, sales and business development, finance and accounting, and mergers and acquisitions. Karl is also the author of Surfing Economic Chaos, which guides companies to identify and leverage new opportunities. In this episode: With globalization shifting, the economy is becoming increasingly volatile, and businesses are struggling to make a profit amid inflation and rising labor costs. How can you optimize your processes to adapt to these changes? Karl Maier maintains that economic evolution is the most powerful asset for small companies since they can adapt effectively. He advises leveraging these opportunities by analyzing your sales processes, data, and profit sources. Since the labor market supply is declining, businesses should evaluate labor usage, systemize productivity, and motivate employees by communicating responsibilities and growth trajectories. In this episode of Systems Simplified, Adi Klevit invites Abunden's Founder and Group Facilitator, Karl Maier, to speak about capitalizing on market opportunities in a fluctuating economy. Karl talks about the shifting labor market, how to optimize labor costs, and his motivation for writing his book.

The stories we tell ourselves is the fuel that makes our motor run. Make sure the give you juice. Peace and happiness our not the destinations. If they are, you always end up searching. Searching leads you further away from where you are heading. We need to be comfortable with being uncomfortable. It's like the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Who would've thought that most of the world's problems stem from pathological masculinity? And we can trace it back historically to the patriarchal ideology and the impact on women and the planet that has been gaining attention in the last few decades.Do you believe that as a society, we are partially responsible for why men are disconnected from the heart and have lost awareness of their power? Are we guilty of passing on the belief there is a tiny box in which they should live? Men withdraw from their real emotions such as anger, shame about their sexuality, or freedom to grieve for fear of being judged. The distractions we have created have made it harder for men to decode signals from their bodies and understand them.Nevertheless, men can rediscover their energy and step into their wholeness and bring back their sensitivity amidst all the odds. Join us in this week's episode of Breakthrough The Ordinary Podcast and learn how men can have the support they need to deepen their presence, clarify their purpose, connect with their power, and have a deeper relationship with women.Tune in to another impactful episode of Breakthrough The Ordinary podcast.Click here to listen to this episode: https://smartpa.ge/bto These are some highlights you shouldn't miss:01:43 - The breakthrough that shifted Jason's life to extraordinary04:16 - What men need to do to achieve the breakthrough they want in their lives07:35 - How divine masculine energy looks like and how it relates to the evolving sexual orientations or gender preferences inside relationships12:31 - The undermined damage caused by pathological masculinity to the world16:40 - Finding harmony and balance of your energy from within and finding the perfect energy dynamics with your partner21:24 - The benefit of knowing what would serve love and consciousness in a relationship in the present moment25:14 - The benefits of deep masculine embodiment work for men's careers, wealth, and relationships29:36 - The keys to embodying masculinity and femininity and how to learn it faster than reading a whole book34:40 Why now is the best time to find healing for your unique self so you can show up with more love and consciousness Episode Challenge: 29:58Being inside men groups presents an opportunity to be around other men, interact and learn with them, and get that instant transmission of how awakened men embody their healthy masculine energies. Here's what Jason suggests you can do:Find ways to get into spaces with people who have done a lot of deep work in energy healing. They only care about what you can do for them. Then I thought, how could I leverage that into helping me build a career. So I said early on when I started selling real estate that I wanted to be where everyone came for information, and I would sell real estate along the way. Well, so far, that has worked out really well. As I close in on 1 billion in real estate sold, I am proud to announce that I am just getting started. We are excited to roll forward to next year and the next by providing the value people look for, giving them information and helping them out when they need it, and selling a little real estate along the way. Let's learn together. Yes, together, I want to learn from you as well.

Dan Edds is the Managing Director of PRAXIS Solutions, he is a speaker and author of two books, his most recent title: The Genetics of Leadership: Cracking the Code of Sustainable Excellence. Dan is a certified as a LEAN Practitioner, Balance Scorecard Design, Strategic Planning, Group Facilitator, and Project Manager. He is also a senior examiner for the Baldridge Quality Award. After a career in management consulting, Dan began to ask this question, "how do high-performing organizations approach the practice of leadership?" He began to ask this because too many times, he would be called in to fix this group, or improve this system, or upgrade a process. Dan never walked out of an engagement with the team feeling anything but elated for the time spent. However, too many times, he would check back after 3-6 months and nothing had changed. In fact, things had even gotten worse. When he began to look at why it always came down to leadership. Not necessarily individual leaders, but a way of doing leadership institutionally. It was what Dan now recognizes as the leadership system. As he researched high-impact organizations in manufacturing, healthcare, education, the US Military and even groups as diverse as an NFL Superbowl champion, the NY Mafia, and the Salvation Army, what he found were organizations that consistently performed at an elite level but were highly intentional about developing courageous employees. This established what I can only describe as cultures of courage.
