Last year's seminal events of COVID and the social equity movements, have greatly accelerated consumers' interest in wellness, diversity, and the environment, and we are seeing this play out in the types of products they are seeking from retailers and brands. Clean ingredients, transparency, sustainability and social responsibility are top-of-mind among shoppers these days. In this episode, I speak with Kate LaBrosse, Founder & CEO of Kate LaBrosse Consulting, about several key natural products trends that are reshaping the CPG industry. These are the trends that are showing explosive growth across categories and channels, and are important considerations not just for brands but for retailers who want to prioritize more natural offerings. Kate has a long history in the natural products industry. She's worked as a Wellness Category Manager for a national retailer, as a National Sales Manager for a probiotic brand, and most recently as the Conventional Nutrition & Body Care Sales Director for a natural products broker. She and her team have over 100 years' combined experience in the Natural Products segment, and are passionate about supporting founders who want to grow their natural brand and conventional retailers who want to capture more share of their crossover shopper baskets. Hello and welcome back to Sudbury Stories, your feel good news of Sudbury! David Kurt is on the mic today with Kim Labrosse, the head coach of the Sudbury Spartans. Snow melting and spring aromas in the air usually invite football season! However, the 2020 summer football leagues have been suspended due to COVID and these unprecedented times. I'm sure a lot of us are having trouble picturing their summers without football and all of the energizing community gatherings that walk hand in hand with the sport. Kim chats about his football passion and journey, "something about football hit.' He was 16 when he first started playing for the Spartans! He is now the head coach and has been for the past 6 years! He opens up about his coaching experiences, driving winning culture, the importance of 'team' and the amount of prep that goes on behind the scenes. He also shares his plans to expand the Spartan community and widen opportunities for Sudbury's youth by adding a third varsity team for grade 11 and 12 students. Giving back to our community is part of being a Sudbury Spartan. After looking at the rosters, David wonders what brings guys out year after year. Kim sums it up with "The game of football is like a bug, once you get started...it's hard to get over it." That's why you see guys coming back year after year. Retiring is troubling for a lot of them! The Sudbury Spartans is not only community, it's family. Coach Kim encourages Sudbury to come out and play - you're never too old. If you'e never played before, and are athletic...they've got coaches and can make you into football players! Though Sudbury's fields are empty, we hope to rekindle the good ol' football spirits in today's episode! So tune in! We can't wait to see what 2021 brings!

For those in the West Island of Montreal, craft beer isn't an every day thing. There hasn't been a microbrewery in the region at all - that is, until now. We finally made it out to the brewery to hang out with owner Troy and head brewer Daniel to get some of their beers in us.    Beers Reviewed: Labrosse Wicked Nor'Easter; Labrosse Mango Creamsicle; Labrosse Et Tu, Brute?; Labrosse West Coast Double IPA.   This episode is brought to you by High Season Co. - @highseasonco // highseasonco.com   Theme tune: Cee - BrewHeads // bit.ly/CeeBrewHeads   Subscribe to the podcast on YouTube! // bit.ly/BAOSYouTube
