In October 2020, Martin Lopez was fighting for his life. Having contracted Covid-19, he was in intensive care, his situation exacerbated by a blood clot. As he battled to recover, he noticed that those around him who best fought off the virus had lived fit and healthy lives. When he came out of hospital, Martin decided to change his life - and he took up running. But he's not someone to do things by half. Eighteen months later, he has transformed his life. Having completed five ultra marathons, he is preparing for a 100 mile event. La chacarera “Dulces sueños” le pertenece al propio artista en letra y música y cuenta con la participación especial de Fabricio Rodríguez, un talentoso cantante y virtuoso armonicista. Comenzó con la música desde muy pequeño donde compartía la pasión de la música con el deporte. Desde los 15 años estudió guitarra y empezó a relacionarse con amigos que compartían la misma curiosidad por la música, realizando varias formaciones (bandas) de distintos géneros musicales. A los 17 años arrancó a estudiar canto con varios profesores, docentes y vocal coach y se sumó a participar en peñas, actos y en todas las oportunidades para mostrarse y darse a conocer. A los 20 años realizó su primer disco, “Martin López” junto a Daniel “el cuervo” Cañueto, gran autor y músico argentino, ex músico de León Gieco y autor de obras como “Aunque yo me muera", “Corazón caprichoso”, entre otras canciones. En el 2004 formó e integro el “Grupo Nómades” con quien realizó 2 discos (Siguiendo huellas y límite) con quienes recorrieron varios festivales y peñas importantes de muchas provincias del país. En el año 2008 comienza a trabajar y producir junto a su amigo y gran músico Alfredo “Fredy" Hernández (pianista de Abel Pintos desde 2004 y autor junto al mismo Abel de “La Llave") varias canciones en composición compartida y arreglos. Paralelamente a todo esto estudia música, para hacer de la docencia su trabajo. En 2012 junto a otro gran amigo y pianista, Silvio Geraci (pianista desde 2012 de Luciano Pereyra) realizó presentaciones a dúo “acústico" y varias composiciones y producciones. Con una banda firme sonando desde el 2015 por peñas y festivales del país, Martín López sigue potenciando su fuerza y emoción musical. El 5 de noviembre lanzará “Dulces sueños" chacarera de su autoría, donde se sumó con armónica y voz el gran Fabricio Rodríguez con quien hace pocos meses compartió el escenario de “La Trastienda". I met Martin several years ago. in the years i have known him, he has always been one of the kindest people i know. he is someone who has always given to me way more than he has asked for, he has had me on numerous platforms that he has created and yet over the years we have not seen each other all that much when he invited me to be on a facebook live conversation, i saw something in him that i had not seen before, and i wanted to have him on this podcast to share with us his work around curiosity and his book The Curiosity Theory. i must say, this was one of the most interesting podcasts that i have ever done, because in the middleman our conversation, Martin stepped back to analyse what he was thinking and feeling from a curiosity perspective and then i did the same thing from a place of holding space and listening. the two practices are very similar but i think you will see in this conversation, the living breathing practice of what each of us do. i highly recommend Martin and if you are feeling stuck or this that a new way of looking at the world with curiosity might benefit you and/or you company, please reach out to him. here is a little more Information on who Martin is and how you can reach him: Martin Lopez is an Real Estate Professional as well an Author, Trainer and Coach in the personal development industry.
