We have my friend Adam Kitchener back on the show as we get along because he keeps it so real. No pictures of him on a private plane, or luxury vehicle or luxury watches. Well he does actually but they're obviously photoshopped as he's poking fun at the phonies out there. Don't get me wrong, luxury stuffs great. I personally luv it when folks celebrate their success and reward themselves. Keep in mind, most successful people in my experience don't brag about their wealth, read “the Millionaire Next Door” if you don't believe me. The book describes 99% of my millionaire clients exactly. Why would anyone brag about their cars and watches or gold chains, on social media? That would make them a target for robbery. Adam actually rips people who do such things and turn out to be frauds on his social media accounts. On today's show, Adam recounts his trials and tribulations of being a full time, active investor. He shares how he finances deals including private money, the numbers on the deals he's done, why they are deals, how cash flow and timely execution is paramount to survival and he pulls no punches, it's not sexy. He's been assaulted and harassed by tenants, arrested by police, bought houses with backyards littered with used syringes from drug dealers. Investment wise, he's doing excellent and well setup for the future but it was far from sunshine and rainbow getting here. Wade, was a major victory for life, according to Westbrook, founder and executive director of the national sidewalk counseling organization Coalition Life.But, he adds, "there's a lot of work that needs to be done.” “Our opponents are not going away, and we need to be vigilant in fighting back and ensuring that we can protect mothers and protect children,” Westbrook says.In the state of Illinois, for example, there's a bill being pushed by pro-abortion advocates that could “shut down the 90 different [varieties] of pregnancy centers and maternity homes in Illinois,” he says. Just over 20% of South Carolina schools received an overall rating of excellent as state education officials monitor the lasting impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on students, report cards issued by the SC Department of Education said. Statewide, 20.6% percent of schools received an overall excellent grade, which is in line with 2019 data. Despite seeing success in many schools, the Education Oversight Committee (EOC) and SCDE stressed there is much work ahead for students to reach college and career readiness. "I commend the effort of South Carolina educators and students," EOC Executive Director Matthew Ferguson said. The restaurant industry has been one of the hardest hit industries amid COVID-19, and yet, we've seen businesses and leaders across the industry do some incredible things to rise above the ashes. To portray this, we chatted virtually with three restaurant owners, a CMO of a successful chain and an industry expert—all of whom share the same appreciation for the support and unity we've seen between restaurants across the nation, in their various communities and right within the walls of their own businesses.
