Will AI replace your doctor? Bill Gates seems to think so. In today's podcast, AnneMarie Schieber, managing editor of Health Care News, and Devon Herrick of the Goodman Institute Health Blog discuss where AI can be a benefit—such as reducing medical error. But when it comes to replacing highly trained medical doctors to reduce the doctor shortage and save money for insurance companies, Herrick and Schieber say "nada."Also in the podcast: how tariff policy could impact the low cost of generic drugs in the U.S., and how far Trump should go in getting foreign countries to pay their fair share of drug R&D. Herrick and Schieber also discuss states now authorizing ivermectin to be sold over the counter, and why it's so difficult for Medicare patients to get good post-acute hospital care. Lots of gaps—and reasons why facilities are closing. In The Tank broadcasts LIVE every Thursday at 12pm CT on on The Heartland Institute YouTube channel.

Mal heißt es in der Bundesliga: It's a classiker!

Is it possible that Obamacare was intentionally set up to falter, leading frustrated Americans to implore the federal government to assume control of health care? Devon Herrick posits this theory, having recently explored the topic on the Goodman Health Blog. He highlights that without the crutch of subsidies, Obamacare is destined to collapse — a prediction echoed by many during the 2009-2010 debates surrounding the inception of the Affordable Care Act.Herrick delves into various topics, including the expansion of Medicaid, and the concept of Medicare for All — or as he terms it, “Medicaid for All.” Since the enactment of the ACA, 21 states have contemplated bills advocating for single-payer systems. However, the majority of these proposals were thwarted due to their exorbitant costs. For instance, Vermont terminated its program, while California's initiative never came to fruition. Colorado's electorate decisively rejected a similar proposition. Currently, Michigan is weighing the adoption of a single-payer system, prompting Herrick to pose crucial questions that demand consideration. These include whether employers will participate, if employees will face surcharges for the state plan, and if the state will request the federal government to allocate all Medicaid and Medicare funds directly to the state's program. Moreover, the “Medicare for All” concept continues to persist, with a bill garnering the support of 100 legislators introduced this past May. Herrick and Schieber engage in a discussion about the public's susceptibility to the false promise of efficient government-managed health care as opposed to a free-market approach. They ponder why the public readily embraces the free market in sectors like retail and technology — which have witnessed significant innovation and competitive pricing — yet hesitates to do the same for health care.

Investoren für die DFL? Hell Nah! --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/spielersitzung/message

In Wäschekörben unfassbare Summen entsorgt. News Screen-Printing Consultant Charlie Taublieb Helps Shop Create Scented T-Shirts Enid, Oklahoma-based Downtown Threads recently welcomed screen-printing consultant Charlie Taublieb of Taublieb Consulting into its space for some learning and improvement. To illustrate the unique capabilities in screen printing, Taublieb printed scented shirts. Before he visited Downtown Threads, he saw a Facebook post from Schieber about barbecue shirts, so he wanted to help take that print to the next level. “I called up a company I work with and asked them to send me some barbecue scent,” he tells the news outlet. “I dug through my artwork, pulled out a pig, added ‘Enid, OK BBQ' to it, and we added the scent into the ink.” The scent infuses with the ink and sticks around for about 15 washes.

It was over 100 degrees during the 2007 Chicago marathon when Sarah Schieber’s husband, Chad, dropped to the ground and died within minutes. Sirens blared as runner upon runner collapsed in the heat, yet Sarah wouldn’t know about Chad’s passing until hours after the grueling marathon had finished. Now Sarah, an accomplished singer and author, reveals how her faith in God helped her survive widowhood at just 33-years-old. She describes the peace that God gave her while she assisted her three young children in walking through the grieving process of losing their father. Sarah also explains how the American version of what God’s faithfulness looks like has been adulterated. “I want to say to them, my husband is dead - yet God is faithful,” Sarah says. TAKEAWAYS Children process grief in small sections at a time, so it takes them longer to walk through the healing process Sarah expressed her emotions in her songwriting, and has penned three life-changing Christian albums Sarah’s memoir about her first year of grieving the sudden death of her husband is called A Journey Called Grief Christians should climb into the valleys of despair with those who are grieving rather than trying to yank them out of it
We discuss the struggle and ‘wrestle' with the grief process, and how to be honest with God while trusting His sovereignty. Sarah shares her story and gives advice to those who face the Christmas season with a death in the family as well as encouragement for single moms. Ron Hays talks with Don Schieber, the 2022 winner of the Outstanding Achievement in Agriculture Award, which is the highest award given by the Governor of Oklahoma to honor distinguished Oklahoma agriculture producers. This prestigious award honors leaders in the agriculture industry who exemplify personal values, performance, and achievement. Governor Kevin Stitt presented Schieber his award during the Oklahoma celebration of Ag Day on March 24th- after riding with the honoree in a mule drawn wagon up Lincoln Blvd to the front steps of the Oklahoma State Capitol. Schieber is the 25th award winner and becomes the newest inductee into the Oklahoma Ag Hall of Fame. Ron and Don talk about his career in production agriculture- his work on behalf of wheat farmers with the Oklahoma Wheat Commission and US Wheat Associates that included traveling to 26 countries taking the Oklahoma wheat production story to buyers of wheat around the world. Don is a major supporter of the wheat breeding work of Dr. Brett Carver- having provided ground on his farm in Kay County for an OSU wheat Variety Field Plot for 17 years. They also talk about his love of football- which took him onto the gridiron for fifty years as a football referee across Oklahoma. Don also offered advice to younger farmers in today's challenging environment about what he has learned on his way to farming, operating a seed cleaning business and raising a family in rural Oklahoma.

Herald editor Jeff Gerritt joins the show to discuss Saturday's three-part editorial "CRIME OF PUNISHMENT: In the shadow of death," which examines why the death penalty should be abolished. Special guests Sylvester and Vicki Schieber join the show to explain why they opposed the death penalty for their daughter Shannon's murder. In an abstract way, the Schieber's had always opposed the death penalty because it went against their faith-based lifestyle and moral beliefs. Since Shannon's death, the Schieber's have become advocates of abolishing the death penalty in Pennsylvania and nationwide.
