The Rich Zeoli Show- Full Show (10/07/2025): 3:05pm- According to documents discovered by FBI Director Kash Patel, former Special Counsel Jack Smith tracked the private communications of several Republican Senators and Congressmembers as part of his investigation into the January 6th riots at the U.S. Capitol. Brooke Singman of Fox News writes that Smith's “Arctic Frost” team tracked the phone calls of Lindsey Graham (SC), Marsha Blackburn (TN), Ron Johnson (WI), Josh Hawley (MO), Tommy Tuberville (AL), and others. In response to the revelation, President Donald Trump referred to Smith as a “sleazebag” and a “bad guy” who tried to ruin people's lives. 3:15pm- The ladies of The View hypothesized that the Trump Administration's National Guard utilization to crackdown on violent crime in cities like Washington D.C., Los Angeles, Memphis, and Chicago is really a ploy to cancel future elections. What? 3:40pm- The morning show won't play clips of Rich on Fox News—so we will! Plus, Matt goes to Seattle. Why did everyone there have a lumberjack beard? 3:50pm- Pork Roll or Taylor Ham…or Neither? During a recent interview, Mikie Sherrill—the Democratic nominee for Governor of New Jersey—declared that “nobody wants pork roll” and that it is “gross.” 3:55pm- Ever wonder about the history of Taylor Ham/Pork Roll? In 1906 the Pure Food and Drug Act was enacted. One of its main purposes was to prevent misleading or inaccurate labeling of food products. After the law took effect, federal regulators determined that John Taylor's “prepared ham” product didn't meet the legal definition of "ham" because: 1. It wasn't made exclusively from the hind leg of a pig (as true ham must be), and 2. It contained added sugar, spices, and preservatives, making it more of a processed pork roll than a traditional cured ham. 4:05pm- On Friday, The Rich Zeoli Show will be broadcasting LIVE from Wildwood, New Jersey for an America First rally. Speakers include Jack Ciattarelli, Scott Presler, Benny Johnson, Jack Posobiec, Congressman Jeff Van Drew, Cliff Maloney, Paula Scanlan, Matt Rooney, and Rich Zeoli! To register for free, visit: https://www.capegop.com/. 4:10pm- Friday Fashion Advice with Justin. Meanwhile, National Research—which is considered one of the country's most accurate polling organizations, according to FiveThirtyEight—now has Ciattarelli running 1-point ahead of Sherrill. Republicans in NJ believe Ciattarelli can win, which should boost voter turnout. According to DecisionDeskHQ, Republicans have a mail-in ballot return rate of 18.61%—outpacing Democrats who are at 16.55%. 5:05pm- On Tuesday, President Donald Trump met with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney in the Oval Office. Both leaders expressed optimism about reaching a bilateral trade agreement. At one point, Carney referred to Trump as a “transformative” world leader. 5:10pm- While visiting Howard University, former Vice President Kamala Harris delivered an impromptu speech to students—it didn't go particularly well. RJ Bell, Steve Fezzik and Mackenzie Rivers talk NFL recap for Week 5. [RJ Bell (0:06–0:20)] opened in disbelief over Arizona's collapse. [Steve Fezzik (0:20–1:05)] vented, “I had Arizona and Indy… easiest winner ever. And yet somehow it lost,” showing frustration with improbable losses. [Bell (1:15–1:52)] called it “two or three things that were a hundred to one each,” defining its absurdity. [Fezzik (2:24–3:08)] blamed player arrogance—“Hand the ball to the referee”—as Arizona, up 21–6, fumbled twice, turning a 99% win chance into defeat. [Rivers (3:08–3:24)] confirmed a 98% win probability even post-turnover. [Bell (5:08–6:04)] said Arizona's average win rate was 89%, second-most unlikely loss in a decade. [Fezzik (6:29–7:48)] slammed coaching “incompetence” for running three times and punting, gifting Tennessee a comeback. [Bell (7:49–9:37)] added metrics: –24 kickoff yards, –7 in turnovers plus sacks, yet 45% success rate vs Tennessee's 37%, proving superior play undone by mistakes. [Fezzik (9:53–10:15)] said Arizona repeats errors; [Bell (10:33–11:04)] tied that to Kyler Murray's weak leadership. [Fezzik (11:05–11:59)] contrasted him with Mahomes: “Mahomes dives on the ball… Kyler stands there,” showing passion vs passivity. [Bell (11:59–12:19)] moved to Baltimore's meltdown vs Houston. [Fezzik (12:19–14:25)] admitted his once–No.1 Ravens were “five points worse than average.” [Rivers (15:18–15:27)] cited Stroud's 99.5 QBR; [Bell (15:27–16:09)] added Houston's 61.5% success vs Baltimore's 37%. [Fezzik (16:19–16:24)] cut Baltimore three points, raised Houston 1.5. [Bell (16:54–17:49)] noted Houston's average snap 16 yards closer to scoring—total domination. [Fezzik (17:49–18:14)] confirmed 400–200 yard edge. [Bell (18:26–18:44)] said elite defense plus average offense makes Houston “well above average.” [Fezzik (19:13–19:31)] shifted to Giants-Saints: “five straight turnovers.” [Bell (19:31–20:05)] said that gave New Orleans a 34-point edge. [Fezzik (20:12–20:17)] noted Saints' red-zone flaws but solid play. [Rivers (21:18–21:36)] said they've covered nearly every game. [Bell (22:14–22:56)] saw Giants QB Dart as “slightly below average passer, above-average runner.” [Fezzik (23:13–23:28)] predicted more rushing. [Fezzik (25:17–26:06)] said Seattle “should have won 38–35,” averaging nine yards per play but losing from turnovers. [Bell (26:37–26:57)] added success rates: Seattle 62%, Tampa 51%, both elite. [Fezzik (29:24–30:35)] noted Rams outgained San Francisco by 2.3 yards per play but failed twice inside the five. [Rivers (32:17–32:35)] described 49ers' “dink-and-dunk” control style. [Bell (32:59–33:11)] compared Purdy to Mac Jones—efficient but limited. [Fezzik (36:04–38:22)] highlighted Minnesota's trick-play win over Cleveland, 49% vs 39% success rate and seven explosive plays to three. [Fezzik (42:08–42:58)] analyzed Washington's easy win over Chargers, calling them “a sneaky contender.” [Bell (45:02–47:46)] praised Detroit's 37–24 rout of Cincinnati as a “wipeout,” citing +13 turnover points and +252 hidden yards. [Bell (49:59–50:43)] warned power ratings ignore style—Detroit dominates early, KC thrives late. [Fezzik (51:59–52:19)] said Philly-Denver was even statistically, but Sean Payton's bold two-point try flipped momentum. [Bell (55:56–56:38)] said it forced Philly from clock-control comfort. [Fezzik (57:29–57:47)] lamented fading stars Barkley and Henry losing burst. [Bell (59:42–59:56)] ended on Indianapolis's rise; [Fezzik (1:00:10–1:00:24)] said they “might be the best team.” [Bell & Fezzik (1:05:03–1:07:22)] agreed old coaches like Belichick and Carroll can't adapt to the fast-changing league. [Fezzik (1:11:19–1:11:54)] closed with betting advice: “Target 7.5-win teams with young coaches for Coach of the Year.” [Fezzik (1:13:36–1:16:49)] finished humorously, describing a month at a luxury gym as a short burst of energy—an apt metaphor for fleeting success and needed renewal. In the years following the pandemic, the city of Seattle leaned into a strategy to convert hotels into shelters. At one point, the Civic Hotel was full of residents. But later, many of the rooms sat empty, even though the City of Seattle was still paying the rent. KUOW investigative reporter Ashley Hiruko is here to tell us what happened. In this episode of Parenting Is a Joke, John Moe talks to Ophira Eisenberg about raising three kids while juggling multiple jobs in public radio, writing, and podcasting. He recalls his parents' Norwegian roots, including summers spent above the Arctic Circle and the bone-dry humor of his father, whose jokes sometimes landed days later. Comedy became the family's shared language, even as emotional expression was stifled at home, and Moe admits he often repeats phrases from his parents—like telling his kids to “snap out of it”—despite his professional focus on mental health. He describes how having a third child “broke” him in a liberating way, leading to their move from Seattle to Minnesota, where three-kid families felt more culturally normal. The conversation weaves through memories of Carol Burnett and Monty Python, misheard church greetings like “Metellina Moe,” and the difference between depression and simple misery, before circling back to Moe's mission of making space for open conversations about mental health—work informed by losing his brother to suicide. The episode closes with Moe comparing shifting stigma around therapy to societal changes in littering and drunk driving: slow progress, but progress nonetheless.

Patti and Pottymouth have entered the “there's always next year” phase of mourning Wildcard losses and have moved on to pondering such issues as “The Blue Jays wouldn't have to visit the White House.” In our hearts we are simultaneously rooting for a SEA/MIL WS matchup and knocking on all the wood. In our “made it to postseason” boyfriend world we have elder statesmen counseling the kids, Ernie and Jackson lighting things up, and Ben Fricking Rice. In our Police Blotter: Fans Behaving Badly, we have BOS fans harassing Cam Schlittler's family online, and the man LIVES in Boston. He seemed to channel his reaction constructively. Although ARAMARK delights PHI fans with its 9-9-9 box of moderation and thematic treats like Bader Tots, it's really quite a corporate horror with its retaliation against unionized ballpark workers and its contract with approximately 100 detention centers. On a related note, LAD majority owner Mark Walter has profited handsomely from enormous private prison contracts with ICE as well as connections to technology tracking immigrants. We salute Seattle mayoral candidate Katie Wilson, who has a platform we can get behind even before she crosstrains with the Mariners in her campaign slogan, “The Big Dumper's City Needs Public Bathrooms.” Pottymouth would very much like you to read Immigration Detention Inc., The Big Business of Locking Up Immigrants, Nancy Hiemstra & Diedre Conlon. We say, “Sympathy wooze,” “porn management,” and “the burrito came in later.” Fight the man, send your game balls to Meredith, get boosted, and find us on Bluesky @ncibpodcast, on Facebook @nocryinginbball, Instagram @nocryinginbball and on the Interweb at nocryinginbball.com. Diddy sentenced to over 4 years in prison, Detroit Lions & Tigers are rolling, Eli drops by, Mark Sanchez stabbed & arrested, Saudi Arabia comedy backlash, Britney Spears v. Kevin Federline, WDIV fires Hank Winchester, Theo Von's troubles, and a world record fart. Eli Zaret joins us to recap the 4-1 Detroit Lions victory over the Cincinnati Bengals, Mark Sanchez is stabbed & then arrested, Michigan's win over Wisconsin, Penn State sucks, Bill Belichick and UNC suck too, the Detroit Tigers great start in Seattle, WNBA drama and more. We watch an incredible fart. Mr. Methane definitely has longer farts, but we struggle to reach the fartist. We also watch some great fart pranks. The Riyadh Comedy Festival is going down. Comics like Dave Chappelle, Bill Burr and Louis CK are getting major backlash while they justify their participation. Jessica Kirson is sorry for performing there. Meghan Markle made a surprise appearance in Paris and had the world's most awkward kiss. Her trip was not without criticism as she publicly mocked Princess Diana. 50 months in prison for Diddy. Thinking he was getting no jail time, he was booking speaking gigs for this week. Diddy has yet ANOTHER sexual assault case. Britney Spears is terrified of K-Fed's new book. We speculate what he might say about her genitailia. Theo Von was on College GameDay and was totally rejected on TV. He's somehow #12 on Ranker's top comedians list. Did you know Vinnie from the Jersey Shore is a stand-up comedian now? BranDon's neighbor continues to battle David Geffen. Corey Feldman is geeked to be possibly maybe considered for a Grammy nomination. Marimar Martinez vs ICE. Also, dog poop vs Trump Cybertruck. Harvard has some pretty cool electives these days. Hank Winchester fired at WDIV Local 4. Brandon Roux conflated Amazon Prime Day and Juneteenth. Oops. Matt Jones and Drew Franklin begin with three big upsets in NFL Week 5. Matt is back from South Africa and there are no more undefeated teams in the NFL! The Bills and Eagles lose and the Jets are the only team in the league without a win. Fans got statement wins from Drake Maye and Bo Nix. Did the Bucs and Seahawks both come out of the game looking better, even with Seattle losing? Matt weighs in on the current MVP race. How do Vikings fans feel about Carson Wentz or JJ McCarthy? How did the Texans put together this win over the Ravens? Matt wonders what happens when Lamar Jackson comes back to the team. Jaxson Dart comes back to Earth and Spencer Rattler gets his first career win. Drew is impressed with Dak Prescott's play this season. There's no doubt that the Colts are for real, but Matt feels bad for Pete Carroll. The Panthers are a curious team, but Matt has really enjoyed their announcer, Eric Collins. Titans-Cardinals could've had the craziest play of the season. A tough loss for the Chargers and the Chiefs are knocking on their door on Monday Night. Matt is stunned over what the AFC North has become. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
RUNDOWN Are Seattle sports are even fun anymore? Six hours “chewing my fingernails and losing hair.” Mitch and Scott argue about what “fun” in fandom really means, roast Matt Brash for his walk-filled chaos, and marvel at the weirdness of Seattle beating Tarik Skubal yet again. Mitch welcomes Brady Farkas (Refuse to Lose Podcast) and Joe Doyle (Over-Slot / Future Stars Series) for a fiery Mariners No-Table as Seattle heads to Detroit tied 1–1. They rave over Jorge Polanco's two-homer night off Cy Young favorite Tarik Skubal and the team's resilience, then dissect Dan Wilson's bullpen management in Game 1, Bryce Miller's usage, and the decision to start George Kirby. The group debates Matt Brash's shaky late-inning trust, Julio Rodriguez's base-running and clutch turnaround, and whether the Tigers or Mariners now hold the upper hand as the ALDS resumes. Mitch welcomes Brady Henderson (ESPN Seahawks Insider) and Jacson Bevens (Cigar Thoughts) for a heated Seahawks No-Table after Seattle's gut-wrenching 38–35 loss to Tampa Bay. The trio debates how Mike Macdonald's defense—ranked among the NFL's best through two weeks—got completely schemed apart by Baker Mayfield. Mitch rips the lack of pressure from Byron Murphy and Leonard Williams, the blown coverage across the secondary, and the failure to get a stop with the game on the line. All agree: Sam Darnold looked spectacular, throwing four touchdowns and confirming his franchise-QB credentials even in defeat. CBS analyst Rick Neuheisel joins Mitch after an emotional weekend that saw his son Jerry Neuheisel call plays for UCLA in the upset win over Penn State. Rick describes watching from the CBS studio as his phone exploded with messages, reliving the moment as both a broadcaster and a dad. He shares the behind-the-scenes timeline of Jerry being handed play-calling duties, his pride in how the Bruins responded, and the joy of seeing his family's work pay off. From there, the conversation turns to the broader college-football landscape — Penn State and Texas now facing uphill climbs to the playoff, Notre Dame's renewed path, the Huskies' comeback win in Maryland, Florida's bounce-back under Billy Napier, and previewing the week ahead with Oregon–Indiana on CBS.
