VondranLegal.com - PPV Boxing Piracy Defense. Call (877) 276-5084. We have helped many bars, restaurants and business owners defend and settle these cases. Receiving a demand letter from G&G Closed Circuit Events, Inc. for illegally broadcasting a commercial pay-per-view boxing event is a serious matter that requires immediate attention. G&G Closed Circuit Events is a company, similar to Joe Hand Promotions, that holds exclusive commercial distribution rights for certain sports broadcasts, including boxing and mixed martial arts events. The demand letter will usually detail the specific event that your restaurant allegedly broadcasted without a proper commercial license. The letter often includes: The date and time of the event.Information about how G&G obtained evidence of the unauthorized broadcast (such as through an investigator who visited your establishment).Claims under the Federal Communications Act (FCA), specifically sections 605 and 553, which prohibit unauthorized reception and exhibition of cable or satellite signals. Defending Against the Allegations If you choose to contest the claims, you'll need to hire an attorney experienced in handling these types of cases. Possible defenses might include: Proving that you had a valid commercial license at the time of the broadcast.Demonstrating that the broadcast was unintentional (though this can be difficult to prove).Arguing that the event was broadcast by mistake, perhaps by a third-party contractor without your knowledge or consent. However, courts tend to be strict in these cases, as the unauthorized interception of PPV signals is usually considered intentional and difficult to "accidentally" accomplish.

In this episode of the Talking Transformation Podcast, we engage with four of the collaborators behind the inaugural NowNow architecture competition - https://www.nownowcompetition.com/. It's a unique and new take on the opportunities afforded by a new sporting event in the Cape Town calendar - Formula E racing - and a brief to design a sustainable and functional pavilion for the event. How could such a piece of infrastructure, the pavilion, work to foster integration and connection between different parties whilst responding to the obvious functional requirements of spectator seating and other event uses? In another episode, Dr. Dean Allen talked about the legacy of the FIFA World Cup in South African. Opinions remain split on what that legacy was and how the stadia and public transportation infrastructure from that era has emerged a decade later. This conversation tackles something that is emerging and exciting for the future. What could the legacy be? What are the factors the competition organisers are wanting entrants to respond to? You'll hear from four collaborators behind the competition: why they've chosen this event and what they hope to achieve. You'll also understand who they hope to inspire and encourage to enter the contest. Although all our guests have African heritage, the episode finds them spread across the European and African continents. It's encouraging to learn of these young professionals' passion for the issues of transformative infrastructure and for South Africa in general. Writer/director Tal Inbar and producer Nancy Spielberg joined FlickDirect's Austin Putnam at the Miami Jewish Film Festival. Watch as they discuss Tal's documentary about the 2016 terrorist attack, Closed Circuit. ABOUT CLOSED CIRCUIT Produced by Nancy Spielberg, Closed Circuit is a powerful account that lays bare the devastating heartbreak of the 2016 terrorist attack that took place in the heart of Tel Aviv. Riveting, searing, and heart-pounding, filmmaker Tal Inbar helps us imagine the unthinkable by skillfully weaving together raw footage from closed-circuit cameras at the infamous terrorist attack in Sarona Market with the present-day memories of survivors of the incident. • For more movies, pop culture, and entertainment news please visit. -- https://bit.ly/2Qkzo0q • Be sure to download the Movie Deals+ app to get the best prices and even be alerted when a film hits the price point you want. -- https://apple.co/3iYxPxX • Have a question? Welcome to Times Will Tell, The Times of Israel's weekly feature podcast. This week, host Jessica Steinberg speaks to documentary filmmaker Tal Inbar and producer Nancy Spielberg, sister to Steven Spielberg, who premiered their new film, "Closed Circuit" at DocAviv, Tel Aviv's annual documentary film festival. "Closed Circuits" uses security camera footage -- much of it taken on the night of the 2016 terror attack in Tel Aviv's Sarona market -- when two men in suits shot at a crowd eating out. The use of the footage deconstructs the event augmented by interviews with those who survived the attack, and who speak about their insights into that event. Inbar speaks about how she came across the closed circuit footage of the attack and developed it into a fuller-length film. Spielberg discusses her fascination with the film upon receiving a 'cold' email from Inbar, as well as her own relationship to Israel, and how the film resonates, particularly in the US, currently reeling from its own spate of tragic attacks. Dark Prospecting & Closed-Circuit Selling Ft. Adem Manderovic The future of the sales and marketing industry will rely on data-driven RevOps practices that leverage closed-network (a.k.a. closed-circuit) sales environments and predictable prospecting capabilities. Adem and Rob go deep "down the rabbit hole" to surface the process behind successfully doing so and unearth the issues that are currently hidden within the modern sales and marketing process. Key Takeaways: It's about quality closes, not quantity meetings. The number of meetings you set has nothing to do with effectiveness or success. The fact that a deal closes is the only measurement that matters in the end. We need to stop focusing on indicators of sales activity and start focusing on the strategy behind the results—what counts. The number of touches is rising. Don't be impatient. The average number of touches to get someone's reply is approximately 18 touches to date. We're headed in the wrong direction, and fast. 10 years ago, it was 7-9 touches; 10 years before that, it was 3-4. You do the math. It's a cumulative problem, and the way to cut through the noise is to win. "Don't confuse 'attention' with 'intention.'" A "smartass" marketer came up with the term "intent data" because it sells better and is more palletable. Truth is, intent cannot be measured until the outcome has happened and is just behavioral data that measures a person's attention and action—nothing more. You can't predict someone's intent, and "intent data" does not predict whether someone will buy—or otherwise. It can only indicate some loosely correlated "buyer signals"... or maybe not... you get the point. Selling to the wrong client will damage your engineering team… What? Everything within every business is interwoven and connected, whether you'd like to think so or not. Listen to the podcast to learn more about this because it's honestly too cumbersome to explain in text. About Adem Adem is the Founder of Disruptur. A full-cycle sales company like no other. Today we have an interesting historic tidbit. This is a closed-circuit broadcast from CBS which went out to its member stations, but not the general public, on March 28, 1942. During the broadcast, U.S. government officials answer questions posed by local stations and discuss information about the war and the need for censorship of that information. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/worldwar2radio/support

Career Q&A with Rebecca Hall on November 11, 2016. Moderated by Stacey Wilson Hunt, New York Magazine. Rebecca Hall is an acclaimed British-American actress who was recognized almost immediately as one of the most exciting actresses of her generation. In a career that encompasses the multiplex, the art house cinema, and the world’s most respected theaters, she has worked with many of the industry’s greatest artists and established herself as a leading talent, one who continues to challenge herself with each new role. This fall, she stars in Antonio Campos’ Christine, with Michael C Hall, Tracy Letts and Maria Dizzia. Based on events in the life of Christine Chubbuck, the film follows a young, hard-working and troubled newscaster at a small town television station in the 1970s. The film premiered at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival and Orchard will be releasing it theatrically October 14, 2016. Hall recently wrapped lensing the independent feature Permission, with Dan Stevens, Gina Gershon, and Jason Sudeikis. The film-in which she stars and which she also produced-is the story of a couple, Anna (Hall) and Will (Stevens), who have only ever been with each other. On Anna’s thirtieth birthday, a friend jokes that they should sleep around before their inevitable marriage. The joke lingers and eventually Anna proposes that they try it. As they venture outside the boundaries of monogamy they are forced to evolve and finally, grow up. She has also completed production on The Dinner, a mystery thriller based on Herman Koch’s novel of the same name. Directed by Oren Moverman, the film explores the lengths to which some parents will go to protect their children. Hall was recently seen starring alongside Jason Batman and Joel Edgerton in his box office smash thriller The Gift. Hall and Bateman play a young married couple whose lives get turned upside down when an acquaintance from the husband's past brings mysterious gifts and a horrifying secret to light after more than twenty years. She was also recently seen in Steven Spielberg’s The BFG, with Mark Rylance and Ruby Barnhill. The film is an adaptation of Roald Dahl’s children’s book classic, in which a Big Friendly Giant and an orphan girl he befriends set out to take on people-eating giants who plant to take over the world. On screen, Hall received critical acclaim for her starring role in Woody Allen's Vicky Cristina Barcelona alongside Penelope Cruz, Scarlett Johansson and Javier Bardem. For her performance, she received Golden Globe, BAFTA Orange Rising Star, London Critics Circle and Gotham Award nominations in the performance and breakthrough categories. Hall’s other film credits include Sean Mewshaw’s Tumbledown opposite Jason Sudeikis; Wally Pfister's directorial debut Transcendence, opposite Johnny Depp and Paul Bettany; Patrice Leconte's A Promise, starring alongside Alan Rickman; John Crowley’s Closed Circuit; Shane Black's Iron Man 3; Stephen Frears' Lay the Favorite; Nick Murphy's The Awakening, for which she earned a British Independent Film Award Nomination and Gotham Independent Film Award nomination for Best Actress; Ben Affleck's The Town, which received the 2010 National Board of Review Award for Best Ensemble; Dan Rush’s Everything Must Go; Nicole Holofcener's Please Give, for which the cast and filmmakers were honored with the Independent Spirit Robert Altman Award and a Gotham Independent Film Award nomination for Best Ensemble Performance; Oliver Parker's Dorian Gray; Ron Howard's Frost/Nixon; for which she shared in a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination for Outstanding Cast Performance; Christopher Nolan's The Prestige, for which she received UK Empire Award and London Critics Circle Award nominations for Best Newcomer; and Tom Vaughan's Starter for 10, her feature film debut.
In this exercise, you’ll be anchoring a new belief into your subconscious mind by relaxing the conscious mind and creating a closed-loop energy system with your body posture. This closed-circuit posture will ensure all your energy is circulating within you and the relaxation of the conscious mind will shift your brain wave patterns from the beta to the alpha and perhaps even theta state. As you continue to repeat your new belief as an affirmation, dropping deeper and deeper into a relaxed state, the door to your subconscious mind will open. As this happens you’ll feel a felt-shift in your body. It may feel like a spontaneous softening or a sense of deep peace. Or perhaps a sudden sense of openness and increased spaciousness in your body and mind. The shift may come in 20 seconds or 20 minutes. Be sure that you’ll know it when you feel it. The shift is a sign the belief has been integrated. You can release the affirmation knowing your subconscious mind has the instructions and will act in accordance with them. Breaking Walls is a once-per-month audio documentary on the history of American Network Radio Broadcasting, focusing on people, places, and events from the Golden Age of Radio. http://thewallbreakers.com/breaking-walls/ To learn more about James Scully: http://thewallbreakers.com/jamesscully/ I personally recommend listening to episodes in this order to get the full story of the beginning of Radio Wave, and the beginning of the three major networks NBC, CBS, ABC. EP75: We Are Echoes—The Birth Of Radio (1887 - 1912) EP76: Over There—The War for Radio’s Airwaves (1912 - 1922) EP77: The Birth Of The Radio Networks—From NBC To CBS To Mutual Broadcasting (1922 - 1934) EP82: Depression, War, And The Birth of ABC (1932 - 1946) EP83: Sarnoff & Paley: Tainted Friendships, Tall Tales, Talent Raids, and TV (1934 - 1952) .................. Okay so I'm going to copy and paste from James Scully's page for the high lights .... because truly I can not beat his own words for his own podcast. Highlights: • July 2, 1921— Jack Dempsey defends his heavyweight boxing title in front of 80,000 fans as RCA broadcasts the event Closed Circuit to over 300,000 fans. Its the first broadcast of its kind. • The Radio Craze begins as almost 600 stations sign on in 1922 • Herbert Hoover tries to better organize the radio dial and put small stations out of business • AT&T’s attempt to monopolize radio broadcasting • The formation of the National Broadcasting Company • The Radio Act of 1927 • William S. Paley buys The Columbia Broadcasting System and turns it into a 2nd major network • Rudy Vallee becomes radio’s first mega-star • Chicago becomes radio’s 2nd capital • Hollywood’s radio recording rise in the late 1930s • The Mutual Broadcasting System is formed—The Shadow debuts • War, once again, comes to Europe ,.... If you are interested in learning about the history of the Radio; going as far back as learning about the waves that make Radio possible then James is the best person to listen too. He makes learning about the actual beginning of wireless telegraphy; and building the very first radio into a story .... he brings to life the men and the women whom strive to bring the beginning of sharing of information beyond the newspaper; or telegraph. He uses background music and sounds that is highly fitting for the time period.

After Krusher Krawcyk’s miscalculation since taking over Heartland resulted in them losing their cable TV slot on the America Channel to the Empire, the city of St. Louis is targeted by Julian Cain as the next Chicago-level coup. While they prepare to headline a sold out Greensboro show and the first ever Closed Circuit event in wrestling history, Tommy Aloha is worried about his long-term future with Jesse James as Booker. After the angle was shot to build Thor Hanson vs “Diamond” Donny Gold for MTV, Julian Cain switched it to Thor vs. Tama the Wild Beast. “Hollywood” Buddy Melrose’s months-long babyface experiment ended as he turned heel to make way for the debut of the enormously popular Goliath in Charlie Gotch’s AMW. And finally, after firing Louie the Greek and Sal Spinelli, Julian Cain began a new profit-driven directive for the EWF culminating in the creation of Empire-Mania, an end of the year blowoff designed to be the biggest wrestling show in history, headlined by Thor Hanson vs. "Diamond" Donny Gold. You may have noticed that, much like your favorite TV shows, the Screeners took a summer hiatus there for a bit. We figured it was time to tell you that this scheduling decision was part of an avant-garde social experiment to probe the liminal boundary between media and media commentary, and...OK, it was all Chad’s fault. Chad just didn’t love you enough to see Closed Circuit with the rest of us. There, we said it. Does it feel better to know the truth? Does it?!OK, now that the unpleasantness is out of the way, it’s time for the most popular segment to ever come first in the Screeners lineup, Jump Cuts!Stay Classy, DreamworksRon Burgundy’s baaa-aack. Not in a movie - not yet, at least. He’s back in SUV ads. SUV ads? Yes, SUV ads. (Yes, those are all different links. So is this one. Oh, and one more.) And you know what? Ron Burgundy can be in ads for smooth jazz for all we care. He’s Ron *%&$ Burgundy. In a tangentially related story (if you were listening last year, or whenever our last episode was), a company called Oyster is trying to become the Netflix of books. Will they succeed? What does success mean in this arena? Shh, no one tell Amazon about their plan! They’ll never figure it out!As you may have heard, Tom Clancy died recently—he might have died a little young, but that’s not going to stop Hollywood from profiting from his intellectual property. There’s a new Jack Ryan movie in the works, this one starring Captain Kirk (no, not the good Captain Kirk). Predictions: We will see Jack Ryan cry, something will explode, and Josh will falsely pretend he was contributing to society during the time he spent not watching the movie. You may have also heard that Breaking Bad ended two weeks ago. If you had not heard that, you are almost definitely not reading this, so why should we talk to you? Go away. (Are they gone?....good.) In perhaps the most unfitting tribute possible to one of the great television shows of our time, the Screeners attempt to cover The finaleThe other 5 seasons of the show, andA Machiavellian plot to keep the gravy train rolling just a little bit longerin the time allotted to a lightning round question. Yeah, good luck with that.“Did It...Pull You?”It’s difficult to merely talk about things that must be experienced to be appreciated, but the Screeners give it a shot this week by tackling Gravity in the Main Event. It’s a movie that’s been well-hyped and well-advertised, but in trailers distinctly different from the typical Hollywood headliner. The creators have given us surprisingly little of the story arc and fewer snappy one-liners, leaving us wondering if they actually wrote a movie at all. We expect to know exactly what happens before we ever set foot in the theater, so this kind of reticence is jarring. We’ll respect it, though, by not saying anything important (until the spoilers section, at least). We do have one question, however: They called it Gravity, but it happens in space, where there’s, like, no gravity, right? What’s the deal with that? (No, that wasn’t a spoiler. You can turn off caps lock and close Gmail.)Coming This Fall...Gravity may be a tough act to follow, but that won’t stop the Screeners from at least mentioning some of the other things they’ve been watching recently. There are a few new shows in this fall’s lineup, but the ones getting the most air time from us are the David E. Kelley/Robin Williams joint The Crazy Ones, The Blacklist (starring a creepily baldish James Spader), and Joss Whedon’s Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Are they worth the space on your DVR or your, um, HuluTube queue-stack (whatever the digital natives are calling it this week)? Listen and find out, then shoot us a comment/e-mail/tweetbuzz to tell us why we’re wrong.See you next time! (Or will we?...)

TJ takes a look back at the box office glumness that was last weekend. He mentions the removing of Bob Peterson from the role of director on Pixar's upcoming ‘The Good Dinosaur', which is a little worrisome. Next TJ highly recommends you take the time to watch Kevin Spacey's comments about Netflix, Pilots, and ‘House of Cards'. Of course there's lots of rumors circulating about Benedict Cumberbatch being involved in ‘Star Wars VII'. His reps do, of course, deny all. Speaking of denials, Bryan Cranston has also denied all rumors about having been cast as Lex Luthor in the upcoming ‘Man of Steel'. TJ also reviewed the film ‘Closed Circuit' this week and talked about it on The MovieByte Podcast with Chad. Neither of them liked the film very much. Also, apparently Batman needs a love interest for his upcoming appearance in ‘Man of Steel 2'. Will Smith might be in ‘Independence Day 2' after all. And also, Roland Emmerich doesn't care much about the ‘Stargate' fans he might tick off in discarding all the history and world building of the ‘Stargate' franchise since his initial film in 1994. And of course, TJ talks about what you might like to see this weekend.
