Not a bad start for Disney and Marvel Studios as the conversation around superhero movies ebbs and flows in the zeitgeist. Those numbers exclude the premium IMAX format, as Spidey couldn't web up those screens due to The Odyssey still holding all IMAX screens.While Marvel is on their Spidey high, other headlines have circled the news this week - some good and some disappointing. On a positive note - Samara Weaving has reportedly been cast as Emma Frost. Horror fans will recognize Weaving from the Ready or Not films. Obsession breakout star Inde Navarette confirmed her meeting with Jake Schreier and she mentioned interest in playing Mystique. And for the bad news, Wonder Man will not get a season two after all - even though it was confirmed earlier this year - and both Kevin Feige and Maershala Ali expressed regret about the Blade film; with Feige admitting he feels like a failure for not getting it off the ground and Ali saying he's done with the project. Last week, DC Studios and HBO's Booster Gold series writer David Jenkins said that the project is no longer moving forward. Shortly after he made this statement, IGN reported that the series will, in fact, be moving forward, but with a new creative team. The New York Times reported that Barbie 2 is currently stalled, with Warner Bros. struggling to come to terms with lead talent Greta Gerwig, Margot Robbie, and Ryan Gosling. The studio has until December to reach a deal before the right revert back to Mattel. Stephen King's 1996 novel Desperation is getting a film adaptation from Final Destination: Bloodlines directing duo Zach Lipovsky and Adam B. Stein. Sam Raimi will also produce the feature, his first time working with King. Sony Pictures has released the first trailer for Jumanji: Open World, which opens in theaters on December 25. The film returns franchise stars Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart and Karen Gillan. Amazon MGM Studios is developing a Warhammer 40k animated event series alongside the upcoming live-action version, sources close to the project confirmed to Deadline. Additionally, Henry Cavill, who is set to star, is also on board to be an executive producer.Dave Bautista is in talks to take on the lead role of Kratos in Prime Video's God of War series, replacing Ryan Hurst, who had to drop out of production after he sustained an on set stunt injury. Mary Holland, Star of Ghosts and The Little House on the Prairie, has been cast in a lead role as Sandra in the upcoming DC Studios and HBO Max Superman spin off series that centers on Jimmy Olsen. In a recent interview with Inverse, Jessica Henwick revealed that she declined an offer to reprise her role as Colleen Wing in Daredevil: Born Again season three because she wants to protect the character's perfect ending in Netflix's Iron Fist.

Granblue Fantasy: Relink - Endless Ragnarok macht da weiter, wo das “Grundspiel” aufgehört hat. Die neuen Kämpfe und Schwierigkeitsgrade hauen ordentlich rein und wer damals das Grinden schon mochte, wird es hier auch wieder tun. Dennoch ist das ganze mit Vorsicht zu genießen. Wer das Endgame vom Grundspiel schon knackig fand, wird hier nun noch mehr dran zu beißen haben. Aber wenn man sich stetig verbessert, sei es nun die Waffe weiter verstärken oder die einzelnen Charaktere dank des neuen “Meister”-Systems, ist vieles machbar. Leider kommt nur die Story etwas zu kurz, aber die stand damals schon nicht so richtig im Vordergrund. Zusammengefasst könnte man sagen, dass Endless Ragnarok viele Sachen verbessert und nach wie vor viel Spaß macht. Wenn man auf knallige Anime Action steht und den Preis von 30€ verkraften kann, sollte man also wieder zuschlagen. Wem das Grundspiel schon zu schwer war, sollte hier lieber die Finger von lassen.

In October of 1991 Urban's body was discovered 70km away from where the New Zealand Police said it should be, when it was discovered up a forest road in Parakiwai, near Whangamata.Yet despite this contradictory new evidence and the eventual discovery that a key witness had committed perjury, David Tamihere was not successful in his appeals and served 21 years before being paroled in 2010.To this day Tamihere has always maintained his innocence, that he never met the Swedish couple, and he certainly never murdered them.It was almost three years ago, in December of 2023 that I released the final official episode of Season three of GUILT - Finding Heidi. In the latest NdB Sunday Show, Chris Steyn spoke to Mark Regev, the former senior advisor to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. On the bilateral relationship between South Africa and Israel, he says: “... it's clear we're going through a difficult period. South Africa says it wants to promote peace and justice in the Middle East. But you can't do that by only speaking to one side. You can't do that by ignoring one side.” He contrasts that to a visit to Israel by the late President Nelson Mandela during which he stated that Israel had a right to live behind secure borders. Asked what Israel would do if US President Donald Trump exited the Iran war under pressure, Regev was adamant that Israel would protect itself.. “Now, if that can be done diplomatically through an agreement, of course we would support that. If unfortunately the regime isn't willing on its own devices…to stop its quest for a nuclear weapon, then Israel…reserves the right to act.” He deems Israel to be in a better place now than before the October 7 Hamas massacre: “we have bounced back and we have shown that we can defend ourselves, and those who will try to murder our people, those who will try to butcher our children, will pay a price.” As for the elimination of Hamas operatives involved in the attack, he stresses that “longstanding Israeli policy is that you will be brought to justice one way or another”. Regev explains why “no one in Israel is going to be talking about a Palestinian state for the foreseeable future”. And describes how Israel has also “decimated” Hezbollah, whose “ferocious military machine” was “much stronger” than that of Hamas and the Lebanese State. Regev is also a former Ambassador to the UK, the co-host of the "Israel Undiplomatic" podcast, and lecturer in International Relations at Reichman University.
