My name is Corey Martin. I'm 24 years old and based on the Gold Coast, Australia. I'm fortunate to have an incredibly supportive family and partner who have backed me every step of the way. I'm currently on a significant weight-loss and health journey and am proud to say I'm down 60kg so far, with strong motivation to keep going. This journey began after listening to one of The Fasting Highway episodes in September 2024, which my aunt recommended during a very challenging period in my life. At the time, I was struggling deeply with my health and well-being and had recently been turned down for a job due to my weight (172kg). This came after a particularly low point, where a back injury left me unable to work or do much of anything for around six months. Something truly clicked after hearing your episode — a switch I had tried to flip before, but never successfully followed through on. This time was different. In October 2024, I began intermittent fasting alongside awhole-food diet. The results were remarkable, and it motivated me to push further. I started with walking and gradually introduced weight training and cardio, with guidance and support from my older brother, Haydn. I held myself strictly accountable and remained disciplined with my nutrition. During this time, I also undertook several major internationaltrips. In February, I spent three weeks in Japan with my partner, Ella, and my younger brother, Blake. In May, Ella and I embarked on a 33-day cruise from Sydney to Vancouver, with many incredible stops along the way. We then spent time in Whistler before travelling to Los Angeles and Las Vegas. While international travel can often disrupt progress, I was determined to stay consistent — and I'm proud to say I did. Today, I'm at 112kg and genuinely couldn't be happier. As General Manager of Fuel iX at TELUS Digital, he operates generative AI systems at a scale most enterprises never see, processing trillions of tokens and delivering measurable business outcomes for global organizations. That vantage point gives him a clear view of both the promise of generative AI and the uncomfortable truths many teams are still avoiding. Every year in early January the global tech industry converges on Las Vegas for the annual Consumer Electronics Show. I've attended this conference religiously in the past, and less frequently now that my focus is on real estate rather than technology. This year, as with last year, the central theme to CES is AI. Virtually everything being showcased at CES is AI enabled in some way. On yesterday's show we talked about some announcements at the show that pertain to the construction side of real estate investing. On today's show we are talking about some of the innovations in the Smart Buildings arena. To be clear, many of the products present at this year's show didn't wait for a trade show to be announced or deployed in the market. In fact, our team has been designing and deploying AI enabled security cameras for several months. We all dreamed about what the 'ideal' gig would be, and it went something like this: To play music that moved, challenged and inspired us without the usual external restrictions, influences, or boundaries that come with every other (paying) gig,...
