He has held multiple leadership roles throughout his career but believes that his most important and most satisfying role was being a stay-at-home Dad to his three daughters, which included upping his game as partner to his amazing wife.   He works to improve technology leadership in not-for-profit, for-purpose and community-focused organisations  and he now runs his own coaching & strategic consultancy practice, Tyger Technology Leadership, developing tech leaders of the future.    He is a former president of his children's school P&C association and is now the Board Secretary of the NSW P&C Federation, working with influential education stakeholders to improve public schooling in NSW.  He also facilitates local Dads groups and events, to support and engage Dads in their parenting journeys. A few people leave deep impressions in your life, and you have certainly left one with me. Sort Of.” Traveling Judi is a fervent world cruiser with a penchant for smaller, and even tiny ships relative to mainstream cruise ships. Judi is also a travel writer extraordinaire—in fact, I met her through my association with Quirky Cruise online magazine, for whom she is a significant contributor. A couple of anecdotes stick in my mind. One, was from Judi's recollection of her expedition cruise to Antarctica. ‘…one of the most memorable—maybe not in a good way—was crossing the Drake Passage. It was rough, it was crazy, and my husband gets seasick in a bathtub,' Judi laughed. The other was asking Judi about her bucket list. As you know I ask all interviewees about what's on their bucket list. Judi's response was colorful and hilarious. Unfortunately, I can't repeat it on the podcast! What I can quote is ‘I liken bucket list to ‘before I die.' For me, I am much more forward-thinking than that. I want to do these things while I am healthy, while I can, and while I am still interested. I don't know, talking about what I am going to do before I die just has a negative connotation...I'm more about turning my dreams into memories every day.” Support the show

She also participated in Gender Euphoria as part of Melbourne International Arts Festival in 2019. It is axiomatic that if you want to have a successful legal career, you need to learn your craft. Most areas of legal practice require highly refined analytical abilities coupled with good judgment. For the most part, the first developmental task of any new lawyer is to learn how to practice law. But if you want to advance in your career, you need to be more than a good technician.  Demonstrating executive presence is also key. In this episode, I am pleased to introduce John Buckley, Board Secretary and General Counsel for the North Carolina operations of a multinational mobility infrastructure company.  John talks about how building your executive presence is critical to advancing your career, especially if you want to want to take on leadership responsibilities. CECILLE FORD: Was Born in Trinidad, and for over 15 years CECILLE has worked in the financial services arena as: Personal/Executive assistant to senior executive management within financial, social security and human resources organizations, for Deloitte & Touche and UBS Investment Bank, prior to which she managed and developed marketing strategies as Business Development Coordinator to the Hay Group, the global management consulting management consulting firm. Ms. Ford presently manages a staff of 28 at Deloitte. Cecille gained a Phi Theta Kappa, President's Award, in the US, upon maintaining a 3.9 GPA, after being a part of its activities and societies at the University of the West Indies, Trinidad, where she gained her Bachelor's in Business Management. For over 16 years, Ms. Ford has served WIADCA [West Indian American Day Carnival Association], as its Board Secretary to date for 7 years and since 2017 as Chair- Mas Committee. She helped to create a pantry to help those affected by the pandemic, which still continues today via WIADCA, as well as the introduction of steelpan programs in schools. One of her goals within WIADCA, is to forge alliances with the bandleaders of New York Bandleaders Association and United Bandleaders Association toward unification and a better financial outcome. With a bachelor's and master's degree in Agricultural Economics from New Mexico State University, she cut her teeth in the corporate world as a Credit Analyst for Farm Credit of New Mexico and later as a Senior Analyst with the Bank of Texas. In 2013 she accepted an advocacy position in the outfitting industry as a lobbyist advocating hunting and fishing. She immediately fell in love with the industry. The 2023 legislative session will be Kerrie's 11th year advocating the rights of hunters and nonresident hunter opportunity. She currently serves as the Executive Director of the New Mexico Council of Outfitters and Guides. She is also the Board Secretary for the Professional Outfitters and Guides of America. Kerrie enjoys all things outdoors including hunting, fishing, horseback riding, and she is an avid alpine skier. She lives in Stanley, New Mexico with her husband and 3 children.

As Julius explains, he came from pretty meager beginnings, raised by a single mother of four kids, living in one of the traditionally low-income areas of Los Angeles. When he was a college student, Julius made a commitment to himself to shine a proverbial light over his shoulders so that others wouldn't stumble on the potholes and rocks in the path he was taking. As he continues through life, Julius has come to understand that the beacon of light he's creating needs to be amplified by the people following him. Doing so creates opportunities where people and communities can manifest themselves. Julius is Managing Director and Head of MUFG Union Bank's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Group for the Americas. He is responsible for company-wide CSR strategy and programs in the United States, Latin America, and Canada, including charitable giving, community outreach, environmental, and Chief Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) compliance officer, directing resources and investments, Supplier Diversity and Environmental Stewardship Policy & Risk. Julius is an integral part of the bank's government relations & affairs activities; he Chair's the MUFG Union Bank Foundation, the nonprofit entity that acts as the agent for the bank's charitable contributions. He plays a key role in the bank's overall Community Development strategy in organizing the bank's cross-functional resources to benefit of low and moderate income and minority majority communities. Julius joined the bank in 1997 and has more than 43 years of banking experience. He has held position of management and progressive responsibilities with several major financial institutions including San Diego Trust & Savings Bank, Crocker Bank, Union Bank, Chase Manhattan, Home Savings of America, GMAC Mortgage prior to his 25-year career with MUFG Union Bank. Brandi is a first-generation college graduate and professional born and raised in Houston, Texas. She earned each of her college and graduate degrees from the University of Houston – Main Campus. Brandi began her career in education 15 years ago as an English and English as a Second Language teacher at a large comprehensive high school. In 2012, she made the transition into school leadership as an assistant principal then moved into the principal position at a high performing high school where she earned the title Principal of the Year for the East Area twice. To support her passion, she spends her time volunteering throughout the city and was recently elected as the Board Secretary for Out for Education, a non-profit organization dedicated solely to providing college scholarships for LGBTQA+ youth in Houston. Brandi has two life partners: Mathew and Libby with whom she has been since 2010 and 2017 respectively.
