Join America's Roundtable (https://americasrt.com/) radio co-hosts Natasha Srdoc and Joel Anand Samy with Bill Yeargin, president and CEO of Correct Craft — a respected leader in the marine industry. On America's Roundtable, Bill Yeargin shares about his experiences in the business arena and the principles which guided him and his company through a major transformation from $40 million in sales in 2009 to over $1 billion annually. Bill Yeargin leads a company of over 2000 employees with distributors in 70 countries. Correct Craft had a 99-year history as a premier boat manufacturer but was teetering on the edge of survival when he took the reins in the early 2000s. During this conversation Bill Yeargin highlights his journey to the Middle East and the significance of the Abraham Accords and people-to-people relations through trade and investment to advance peace and prosperity. He has authored a number of books including the bestseller, “Education of a CEO” and the recently released “Faith Leap” - now available on Amazon. A passionate lifelong learner, Bill Yeargin has earned a bachelor's degree in accounting and an MBA. He has also completed post-graduate studies at Harvard, Stanford, Wharton, and MIT. Bill Yeargin served both the Obama and Trump administrations on cabinet-level advisory councils. He is the Chairperson of The National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA), the nation's leading trade association representing boat, marine engine and accessory manufacturers. Collectively, the association's members manufacture an estimated 80 percent of marine products used in North America. “By the time I arrived at Correct Craft, the fighting within the company's ownership family combined with a revolving door of CEOs, had created a culture that was, I think it's fair to say, toxic,” says Yeargin. “Today, nearly 20 years later, Correct Craft has grown dramatically, exceeding our goal of over $1 billion in annual revenue. When people ask about the secret sauce that both turned Correct Craft around and fueled our tremendous growth, I share that it is primarily two things: our strategic planning process and our culture.” He has been recognized with many of the marine industry's top awards including Boating Industry's “Mover and Shaker of the Year.” Florida Trend magazine called him one of “Florida's Most Influential Business Leaders” and he is an Orlando Business Journal “CEO of the Year.” He was also presented the “Governor's Business Ambassador Medal” by the Governor of Florida. The Boating Industry | Correct Craft's World War II Miracle (https://boatingindustry.com/blogs/jonathan-sweet/2014/05/30/correct-crafts-world-war-ii-miracle/) General Dwight D. Eisenhower's Urgent Request (https://boatingindustry.com/blogs/jonathan-sweet/2014/05/30/correct-crafts-world-war-ii-miracle/) "Most of us in the industry know about the great work boat builders did during World War II to supply the military with vessels. It's worth remembering, though, during this Memorial Day week. I was reminded of it once again as we finished up our anniversary issue, which went to print this week. The folks at Correct Craft/Nautique Boat Company shared some of their photos and information from that era, including the “Miracle Production.” That was when the company, then known as Pine Castle Boat and Construction Company, built 400 boats in 15 days in 1945 to aid the war effort – all without working Sundays. I'm sure the story is familiar to many of you, but worth sharing again. You can read the full story in the words of Ralph C. Meloon Sr. here, but these are some of the highlights: On February 9, 1945, the government contacted the company and asked them how many boats they could make by February 28. Simply put, the military needed boats and they needed them fast. Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower was requesting 569 boats to help move troops and supplies across the Rhine as the allies made their final push into Germany. Although only scheduled to make 48 boats that month, the company agreed to produce 300. Despite pressure from the government to work seven days a week, the company kept to its long-held belief not to work on Sunday." Read the full article here. India has raised its oil purchases from Russia from about 0% at the beginning OF THE Year to an estimated 22% in October. As a large consumer, its buying from Russia is freeing up the market for other buyers, keeping oil prices down. On the 60th episode of UN-Scripted, we speak to the country's first female permanent representative, Ruchira Kamboj. She says India has the sovereign right to meet the energy needs of its 1.34 billion citizens. We also speak to Shyama Venkateswar, a public policy expert and member of New York City's Commission on Gender Equity. ? Of The Year (Episode 77) There are a litany of awards given annually to the best person in XXX field. Today on the podcast, Shaunna and Lisa talk about https://time.com/collection/women-of-the-year/ (Time Magazine's Women of the Year) and how it has attempted to atone for decades of excluding women from its prestigious trophy. Sadly, there are still many awards entitled “Man of the Year.” These awards may sometimes award a woman but over the course of their histories have given awards to women shockingly infrequently. Sport is definitely one of the fields where “Man of the Year” still reigns. Shaunna and Lisa encourage listeners to review the histories of their local sporting awards, whether in their state or their local club to understand what histories of exclusion exist for them. It is crucial to review the how and why of recognition exclusion to redress the imbalance. Tip: nominating/awarding one woman in 2022 is not sufficient. https://tomandlorenzo.com/2022/03/times-women-of-the-year-2022-magazines-editorials/ (TIME's 2022 Women of the Year List) https://time.com/100-women-of-the-year/ (TIME's 2020 100 Women of the Year Project) Support the podcast and use our sponsor codes! Where are the chefs who'd like to earn some extra money AND have an amazing experience? This week's podcast is for you. And please SHARE this. This is an amazing opportunity. This week my guest is chef Bob Aungst. This episode is unlike any I've done before, as it's essentially a job opportunity. I've wanted to have Bob on as a guest for a while, but this episode isn't about him. Bob's responsible for finding chefs for some of the most amazing experiences in the country. Would you want to cook at the Kentucky Derby? How about the U.S. Open? These are just a couple of the events that Bob has been responsible for staffing. If you're a chef, and you're looking for a temporary (or even possibly permanent) gig, then this episode is for you. These jobs pay great and are all-inclusive. You don't have to pay for travel expenses, lodging, or any of that. This isn't one of those scam-type opportunities that us chefs get emailed to us all the time. I've known chef Bob for a while, and also know chefs who've worked with him. On this episode, you'll hear all about the jobs, compensation package, and how to apply. You'll need to be able to hold your own at these events. Bob is looking for those with at least sous chef-level experience. For those out there who have a week or two to spare, and want to make a couple thousand dollars, this is a great opportunity. It is indeed the MOST WONDERFUL TIME... OF THE YEAR! That's right, the annual Gallifrey One Convention, the world's largest (and best) Doctor Who Convention is just around the corner, and MUTTER'S SPIRAL Podcast will be previewing the convention in full this week! It's the 30th edition of the con; it's John's 15th and my 13th (and the podcast's 9th!); and it looks to be another corker of a weekend! We'll talk all about the great guests (Including CATHERINE TATE, PEARL MACKIE, JOHN BARROWMAN, COLIN BAKER, and many more!), the fantastic fan panels (including the 2 John will be on), and of course the many other amazing highlights to come (THIS or THAT, FAN VIDEO HAPPY HOUR, IN DEFENSE OF, the ACADEMIC TRACK, and so much else). It's our annual deep dive into and through the schedule. We're super excited for Gally, and we hope to give listeners a taste of what's to come this year! Also, John finds out what game, featured in a panel at this year's Gally, that I've NEVER played, which stuns him while i promise to maybe, perhaps, possibly try to participate in one of the other great games. So, it's chock full of Wibbly-Wobbly Timey-Wimey Stuff! We will also be doing 2 more previews of Gally: one with Joy Piedmont and Paul Booth, focused on the "Time Lord Timelines: An Academic Symposium", the Academic Track that they've put together (dropping Thursday); and one with our great friends Kim Rogers and Sage Young of HeadoverFeels.com for next week that'll discuss in detail THIS or THAT, FAN VIDEO HAPPY HOUR, the FanFic panel, the Doctor Who/Musicals crossover panel and more.

Its the action film some of us have been waiting for. Tom Cruise, the guy who will do some crazy stunts to make movies, is back at it again in the latest (and greatest?) Mission Impossible film. As per usual, Oli knows next to nothing about the film, other than the fact Henry Cavill is in it, and he has a villainous-looking mustache. We also play The Fruit Is Acute!

IT'S THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME.... OF THE YEAR! That's right, it's February - time for another GALLIFREY ONE Doctor Who Convention (the 28th!), so this must be our annual preview episode with our great friends Sage Young and Kim Rogers of HeadOverFeels.com ! We'll discuss what everyone is doing (panels, cosplay, etc) at this year's Gally, as well as the other people, places, and things that we're looking forward to! Also, John and I will do a little intro about Gally in general for any listener who is going for the first time. It's a quick listen, just enough to get your juices flowing for the convention (HA - as if we aren't all amped up to 11 (or TWELVE) already! ) ALSO, keep your eye on our main Libsyn page all weekend (as well as our Twitter feeds) for links to our podcasts from the convention!
I Has News And Jay Has Memes On this week’s episode, we start the new year as we mean to go on: with off-key singing, laughter, and deep, deep regrets. Join I “Good Ending” Coleman, Anthony “Bad Anime Consultant” Spivey, Jay “The Experience” Petrequin, and Jonathan “The British Accent Telling Us To Stop” Trussler as they do a deep dive through the biggest gaming news of 2016 and remember the year that took so much from us. We discuss the rise and fall of “The Year of VR”, how the Playstation 4 won the latest console war, consoles made of duct tape, lousy videogame movies, and so much more! Plus, tune in next week when we’ll announce HPP’s official Game(s) Of The Year. Oh, and… Read More... The post Hey Poor Podcast Episode 82: The 2016 Year In Review appeared first on Hey Poor Player.
Ringing in the New Year and Holiday Cheer with Games Near and DearThe last minute games are under the tree, the hosts are scattered to the four winds, and we leave 2014 with a collection of the best - and worst - in gaming and other televised entertainment. As always, the year-ender starts with a countdown of each host's top 5 games of the year. Did Austen put a Nintendo game in his list? Could Donald have a top 10 list without a Pokemon RPG? What in tarnation did Stephen pick? (Hint: One of his games is confirmed on sale during Christmas.) After the countdown comes some other awards, ranging from the Cluster-*ditto* Of The Year to Best Re-Game and more. After that, we run the countdown back to 3 and tackle the year in Whatcha Watchin', which is probably the most predictable list of the night. After a brief bit of podcast year-in-review, we look back at the predictions we made on the last show and continue to live up to the guarantee: All predictions wrong or your money back. Finally, we predict our 2015 GOTYs as a lead-in to a massive prediction segment - you know it's big when even Donald is in double digits for his prediction count. This will wrap up the year in Nintendo Free Radio, but we can proudly announce that our most prominent blank will be filled in New Year's Day, as the long-lost Episode 37 will be released. See why it's the nexus of the show in general. Also, next time we have a new episode, for our dramatic episode 50 we will be watching a movie that recently celebrated its 25th anniversary, In honor of the 25th anniversary of what it was made for... THE WIZARD. We hope you'll join us as we poison the well on the movie too hot for Box Office Poison. This podcast was recorded on December 14 and edited by Donald Theriault and Austen Parkin. All clips used under fair use provisions.
Alternate Title: "Destiny Loot Leaves Stephen Shook"Gird your loins and get your buttons/stylus/what have you ready, as NFR kicks it old school. In New Business, Donald leads off with discussion of Theathrythm Curtain Call, the blown out version of an early NFR favorite, which dovetailed into a discussion of Final Fantasy XV: What Is Love when the internet randomly crapped out during recording. Although the full game is out right now, all we had at recording time was the demo of Super Smash Bros 4 (3DS), so you get limited early impressions of the game so powerful it needs a system rev to handle it. Stephen's only been playing one thing, and you'll be stunned at the issues Destiny had. Austen has a few quick hitters, but the main game he played for reasons clear at the end is Wii U Indie Puzzle Platformer With Unique Artstyle (tm Player One Podcast) Teslagrad. The results will definitely shock you.Following a congratulatory Now Posted, there's a heavy Whatcha Watchin' component as well. Stephen leaves his co-hosts in a James Jones position while discussing Slugterra, before showing that Donald is not the only Idiot Abroad and getting in a NBC-approved Food Fight. Donald's participation in this segment has usually been Pointless, but he did bring Madoka Magica back for a full drubbing. Austen meanwhile, has wrapped up Cardcaptor Sakura and entered the tenth layer of hell - phone tech support - in The Devil Was A Part-Timer.Since the feature had to be saved for the end, it's right into the Mushrooms from there as we slam acquisitions, discontinuations, and lazy localizations. We don't ask for it to come that way, but we work with what we're given. As for the feature... since the show was a) going to run past our time limit, and b) contained a lot of things not really appropriate for a clean show, our discussion of Danganronpa 2 was actually spun into a separate podcast that MIGHT be familiar to listeners of other Nintendo World Report shows. You can find us and Tyler Ohlew discussing Donald's Game of 3/4 Of The Year right here. This podcast was recorded on September 28, and was edited by Donald Theriault. All music and clips copyright their respective owners and used under fair use protection.
Gott nytt 2014, nerds!
That's right Stew Crew! Hard to believe that it's the next to last show OF THE YEAR!! JT and your Main Ingredients will be talking hockey, Part 2 of the 30 worst ways to die, 2 new Beers in the Beer of the Week Beer Battle, and much MUCH more!! TUNE IN!! Tell 10 friends to join!!
Vi är tillbaka igen i januari med vårt NOTY-avsnitt (Nörderi Of The Year)! Tack och förlåt!
GOTY står för Game Of The Year. NOTY står för Nörderi Of The Year.
