What better way to head into the Independence Day weekend than enlisting with the Slugs to check out 2009's The Marine 2. This little leathernecked nugget stars WWE's Ted DiBiase Jr., Michael Rooker, and Temura "Jango Fett" Morrison. This movie is wild, mild, and strangely watchable... but not that watchable. Come for the jittery action cams, stay for the sentient fireballs that chase DiBiase across a paradise resort where separatists have taken everybody but Ted hostage. Brant gets real hung up on continuity problems, while Ryan flexes his considerable WWE knowledge. It was directed by Roel Reiné, the mad genius behind the previously covered Pistol Whipped. The Marine 2 is available on Apple, Prime, and the usual places. P.S.— there's like 27 of these f#cking Marine sequels, so we'll definitely be back for more wrasslin' jingoism in a future deployment.

This week we will start out discussing what is known as "stan" culture. Last Sunday, an obviously disturbed person who was part of this culture broke into the home of WWE star Daria Berenato, known to wrestling fans as Sonya DeVille. The list of items he had with him are very frightening. Then we got word that a former WWE star and son of a hall of famer may have been involved in criminal activity and as a result may suffer a very substantial penalty. A major spoiler has broken regarding the upcoming Ring Of Honor taping as someone who you may have recently seen on TV is in the city where taping is happening. Will there be ANOTHER husband and wife couple in AEW? A prominent WWE personality has announced her impending departure from the company. Last Friday on SmackDown, a character that people saw on TNA/Impact debuted. Does this mean ANOTHER former TNA/Impact character will be showing up at some point? Speaking of Impact, Jim Cornette recently got a question concerning the extracirricular activites of its owner. Hmmm... While WWE announces its new virtual fan concept, AEW is announcing the opposite, the return of actual fans. We'll compare the two approaches and talk about what may or may not be "best for business". Speaking of business, WWE Network has removed some on demand shows very quietly. We'll tell you who the subject of the shows is and why they were removed. Katie, Steve & Sean will relay all of these stories to you and more, tonight.
As the "Million Dollar Man" and beyond, Ted DiBiase is one of pro wrestling's all-time greats. But like almost every star from the 1980s, DiBiase had his demons. His son, former WWE superstar Ted DiBiase Jr., decided to dissect those demons in the 2017 film The Price of Fame. It's a decent little conceit for a wrestling documentary, but does it hold up for 95 minutes? And does it even attempt to unpack the complications that come from being a second- or third-generation wrestler, operating almost entirely in your father's shadow? Join us and find out.
It's time for the main event! WWE movies have had a number of sequels varying from pretty solid to outright trash. For the last movie of the month we are continuing the The Marine series with probably the most disappointing sequel so far: Ted Dibiase Jr. The Marine 2. Ok maybe shooting a military siege movie on a sunny island resort hotel wasn't the best idea. Enlist today!

Josh Hachat and Jason Mann break down the highs and lows of Wrestlemania 26 on the first episode of Wrestlespective. We talk about the awesomeness of Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker and whether it topped last year’s Match of the Year, discuss how Bret Hart vs. Vince McMahon never reached the heights we hoped it would, consider whether Edge deserves an immediate rematch with Chris Jericho, ponder why hated rivals John Cena and Batista had a straight wrestling match and concede that Randy Orton is pretty over as a babyface, even if he did make Ted DiBiase (Jr.) look like a goof.
