Reinhold Nawroth spricht fließend IT. Immer schon. Ein "IT Socializer".

Also hört doch gerne rein in eine ganz besondere Episode von With People For People. Lauschen, lernen und gemeinsam wachsen!

In this episode, I want to break down this idea of becoming a great socializer and a great communicator. In order to be great at socializing and communication, you really have to build a muscle of making the first move, and not expecting people to come to you or that the opportunities will magically fall into your lap. A great communicator, as a whole, is someone that can get out of their way, get out of their head, and have the confidence to go up to someone and introduce themselves and talk to them! You'll learn more about this in today's episode. Enjoy! Hit me up on Instagram: @CEODanielFrancis

Ric Leahy, my guest in this episode, was almost responsible for a career choice of mine that would have been disastrous, both for me and my country. Ric and I went to high school together. When we hit our final year, Ric had a plan: “I'm going to win a scholarship and join the navy." And I thought … well, why not. I'm going to join the air force. Ric wins his scholarship and begins a career in the navy. I failed every test they had, didn't begin a career in the air force, and eventually found my own path. During his naval career, Ric served on the staff of the Chief of the Australian Navy, on multiple ships, and was deployed on the ground on operations to Cambodia, Timor-Leste, and Iraq. He was awarded a Queen's Gold Medal, and later in his career the Conspicuous Service Cross. He now leads a number of leadership programs for Australia’s top business schools, has become a “neuro nerd” with an Executive Masters degree on neuroscience and leadership, and is an endurance athlete. Christian was in his 20s, he was super excited to do great things! At the same time, he had a lot of questions, and wanted answers that were right for him. So admit it - we are all different. After all, haven't you heard it said that "Opposites attract"? Well, that may be true, but after they attraction, many find themselves attacking the very thing to which they were attracted. What are we to do?In this episode of the "Attract or Attack" series, Dan and Melodie give insight to the Socializer and how Socializers can better connect with the personalities. This guidance can help Socializers better live out God's directive of "submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ." (Ephesians 5:21)

All Selling Aside with Alex Mandossian | "Seeding Through Storytelling is the 'New' Selling!"
In December 2000, I was on a plane with my family about to fly from New York to San Francisco. I had a thriving business on the East Coast, but we had no family there, so we moved to the West Coast to live with my in-laws until we found our home. Of course, after leaving my business behind, I had to figure out something new. This is when I decided to do teleseminars, set up a system, and in fact became the “Larry King of teleseminars.” The tragic events of 9/11 ended up having a profound impact on my business, and I was able to put the platinum rule into place: “do unto others as they would want done to them.” The reason that the platinum rule works so well in sales is that not everyone is like you. Fostering curiosity, instead of the false certainty that everyone is like you, helps you speak to people in language that resonates with them. The platinum rule is at the center of today’s key insights into becoming a highly skilled ethical influencer: How the platinum rule differs from the golden rule, and why the two are relevant to your business. What the four decision-making styles are, and the ideal sequence to approach them. Why platinum rule sales will profit more than golden rule sales. If you’re ready to truly become a highly skilled ethical influencer, don’t miss this powerful episode! Understanding the roles of the golden rule and the platinum rule in business is one of the keys, and this episode will help you deeply grasp how they function and why the platinum rule is so important in your business. In This Episode: [03:43] - We learn about today’s three key insights, which focus on the golden rule, the platinum rule, and the four decision-making styles. [05:25] - Alex shares a story about moving from New York to the San Francisco Bay Area. [08:02] - We hear about some of the things that Alex has learned about teleseminars. [09:39] - Alex talks about the impact that 9/11 had on his business, although he didn’t realize the connection until years later. [11:26] - During the process he has been talking about, Alex did unto others as they wanted to be done unto. [12:16] - We return to Alex’s story about the platinum rule, this time with an event from 2007. [14:09] - Alex digs into what the platinum rule is, and how it’s different from the golden rule. [16:14] - Using the Socratic method helps you generate more profits through the platinum rule, Alex explains. [17:42] - Alex digs into the four personas that you’ll discover as you explore the platinum rule: Director/competitive Socializer/spontaneous Relator/humanistic Thinker/methodical [21:54] - Alex explains that the sequence to the system is the solution, and talks about how he goes after different personas in order. [23:14] - Why is the platinum rule more profitable than the golden rule when you’re selling? [23:44] - This episode’s Alexism is this: “Wildly successful entrepreneurs don’t wait for their ship to come in. Instead, they swim out to it!” [24:15] - Alex quickly reviews and recaps the points that he has covered over the course of this episode. [25:44] - If you’ve already given Alex a review, write down your biggest takeaway from this episode on an index card. If you haven’t, though, please use that takeaway as your review for the show at this link! “Even if you’re not trying to be a high-growth company, it’s hard [being an entrepreneur], it’s a roller coaster. You go through crazy highs and crazy lows.” - Bradley Joyce About: Bradley Joyce- Founder of Velocis , SocializerHQ, and Launch DFW Overview: Bradley Joyce is the true definition of being an Outlier. During this interview, he shares with us all about the different companies he started and what it’s like balancing so many responsibilities in the entrepreneurial world. Bradley Joyce Highlights: Velocis: It is a company Bradley started in 2008 as a way to get into the web development world. It was the entity under which he did all of his work. He spent a lot of time helping small companies build their businesses, and eventually got into bigger build-up applications. It’s a team of 13 people- designers, developers, marketers, and sales people. They act as an incubator for a lot of the smaller companies. Up to this point, they have about 5 companies and have equity stake in most of them while helping them build their sites, and platforms. Application Process: If you’d like to become a partner, get on AngelList and set up your profile. For the equity base deals, they are looking for a few companies to work with later in the Spring. Feel free to reach out directly to Bradley as well. About Socializer: Is a spin out from Velocis. At the time, Bradley and his co-founder worked full-time on this company for about a year and a half. They raised some money, and really pounded the pavement building product. It’s been on the shelf for the past 12 months. It’s been through just about everything a startup can go through. What is Socializer: A predictive analytics for social media. They would use specific algorithms to help increase clicks and re-tweets. Why the Hold on Socializer: Money was the biggest reason. They needed a lot more investment for infrastructure. They had a hard time sustaining the monthly fees, and their customers at the time were not ready for the cost required to help pay for the business itself. Plans to Revive Socializer: Bradley and his team have been thinking about moving forward with Socializer- but are waiting on funds to come through. It’s not necessarily off the table, they may sell it, but they’re not quite sure yet. Apps Created: Previously, Bradley worked for a company, and during that time, the company built a product called Tweet Saver. It was back during the time when Twitter was open to companies building upon it. It essentially archived all of your tweets. Another app they created was called Quitter- and it tracked all of those who unfollowed you on Twitter. Bradley didn’t originate Quitter, but it was given to him by a client. He grew it from 50,000 users to 200,000 users. Quitter was somewhat profitable, but not something that made large amounts of money. Eventually, Bradley didn’t have the time to run all these apps, and so he listed the apps on a site and sold them to another Twitter app-like company. Learning Mistakes: Bradley admits that selling these apps were some of the biggest mistakes in his entrepreneurial career. Bradley feels that if he had the patience, he would have worked more on these apps, and grown them in different ways to get them into a niche area. What is Launch DFW: Bradley started the company in 2010. It’s an online community that started off as a very simple blog. From there it grew into hosting network events, happy hours, meetings, etc. The best way to think about what Launch DFW is a TechCrunch for the Dallas area. They try to aggregate as much information as possible for the Launch DFW community. Right now, they have about 20,000 visits a month. They have around 200 people at their events, and about a 100 people to their happy hour. It started out as a passion project, but within the last 6 months, they’ve really focused on making it a successful business because of its role of importance in helping the community. They have a lot of goals around making sure it’s a sustainable business for 2015. Unique about Bradley: He is really into sports, and played water polo from 3rd grade through college. And he shares that sports prepare you for business in so many ways: dedication, hard work, teamwork, etc. Advice for Entrepreneurs: From Bradley’s experience, the more you share your ideas, and the more you talk to other people to get feedback, the more you grow and become better. It’s so important to be open and honest with everyone around you. Being an entrepreneur is hard work, and you need that support. For those who are dipping their toes into the entrepreneurial world, talk to a lot of people about what you want to do. Try and get as much validation with potential customers that you can do up front to get a feel for what’s out there. Once you do it, be 100% committed. . Don’t straddle the line too long. Take Away: Bradley teaches us that the sky is the limit when it comes to starting a business. Although, there are many highs and lows to being involved with so many different companies, the rewards are worth the risk.
