Before 'Criminal Minds,' most police procedurals focused on the "who" bit of "whodunit." What resulted was a series that lasted over 300 episodes and 15 years — even if all of its cast didn't. Patinkin included, who called his two seasons on the show his "biggest mistake."You, like the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit, might wonder... why? Our latest episode gets into it all, delving into the history and impact of 'Criminal Minds.' Kati Gegenheimer is a painter, writer, and educator currently based in Philadelphia, PA. She received her MFA in Painting & Printmaking at Yale School of Art in 2013 and a BFA in Printmaking & Art History from Tyler School of Art and Architecture in 2007. Kati Gegenheimer is a painter of experiential presentiment whose works align the sensibilities of foreboding hope. Pattern work and traditions found typically in folk art are employed to depict objects and places not of commemoration but instead as aspirations: these are lauded moments yet to come. This forecasting through the act of making is similar to the act known as scrying. The Cambridge dictionary defines scrying as, ‘to see what will happen in the future, especially by looking into an object such as a mirror or glass ball.’ Kati’s thickly painted surfaces do not immediately transport as the fabled crystal ball would purport to do, I would suggest that the shaped canvas or the framed image act as a site of divination. What appears with the fixed shape rarely alludes back to the compositional device afforded by the framing or form. Instead, it acts as a launching point for themes to play out. Rough impasto surfaces work to reinstate that this is not mere fantasy but that what the painting suggests are facts. Feelings, through the act of painting, become facts. - Mark Thomas Gibson more info at https://katigegenheimer.com/ @kati_gegenheimer Mark Thomas Gibson is represented by Fredericks and Freiser Gallery, (New York, NY), M+B Gallery, (Los Angeles, CA) and Loyal Gallery, (Stockholm, Sweden). His early east coast theatre credits include productions at The Second Stage, The Public Theatre, The Manhattan Punch Line, La Mama, The Long Wharf Theatre and The Actors Theatre of Louisville’s Humana Festival.    His first TV job was a small part in HBO’s historic drama “And the Band Played On.”  Known for his quirky characterizations, he’s since played many major guest star and recurring roles on such shows as "Modern Family," "The Blacklist," "Rectify," “Mad Men,” “Justified,” “True Blood,” “CSI,” “NCIS,” “Castle,” “Bones,” “Ugly Betty” “Criminal Minds,” “iCarly,” “Longmire,” and “Days of Our Lives.”  But he is probably best known for playing the creepy “Lincoln Meyer” on season three of “Boston Legal” (a character created for him by TV icon, David E. It's Jazz's birthday! Well, it was, when we were recording this. As such, the top of the episode contains a review of the hosts' field trip to see M. Night Shyamalan's Glass. It sucked and yet was infinitely better than the podcast's first foray into Season 12, a season so bad it made people miss Thomas Gibson. "Surface Tension" is about a burn victim who loves sinkholes as well as Reid's wacky attempts to live with his crazy mom (a slumming Jane Lynch). Ronnie and Jazz struggle through it, introduce a new profiler to the mix and even and propose a Criminal Minds spinoff: Young Reid.

His works are filled with humor and passion tinged with anger. Mark talks about Philadelphia and is very happy to be in our community. He's a great speaker with a lot of big thoughts about history, contemporary art, teaching art and more. Take a listen. Mark's show at Rosenwald-Wolf Gallery is up through March 8, 2019. On today’s episode, Ashley and Britney are heading to the beach while discussing Psycho Beach Party (2000). A campy sendup of 1950s psychodramas, 1960s beach party movies, and 1980s slasher films, Psycho Beach Party tells the story of Florence “Chicklet” Forrest, a wannabe surfer dealing with a serious case of multiple personality disorder while murders are being committed in her small beach town. Hysterical, right? Ashley and Britney discuss the downsides of adapting a play to film, how nostalgia plays into our interpretation of history, and who this movie is really made for (spoiler alert: it’s not us). Psycho Beach Party stars Lauren Ambrose, Thomas Gibson, Amy Adams, Nicolas Brendon and was directed by Robert Lee King. "Far and Away" er en af de mest episke film fra 90erne og nok også en af de bedste film, som Tom Cruise, Nicole Kidman og Thomas Gibson nogensinde har været med i. Ja, bedre end "Rock of Ages", "The Peacemaker" og "The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas". Vi er alle blæst helt bagover af det velskrevne og stramt komponerede manuskript, de flotte accenter og Tom Cruises bagdel. David Lean, go home: Ron Howard is the new king of Hollywood.

“Broken Mirror” is an early episode of Criminal Minds, and it might be the best episode of the show? It definitely isn't the best episode of the podcast – there's some audio issues and Ronnie is even lower energy than usual. But if you make it through the thing you'll get to hear about identical twins, that season of Ninja Turtles where they went to Europe for some reason, Nicholas Brendon's twin and some other shit. Sorry for this lousy description, I'm kinda pissed off that I just found out about a Birthday Massacre concert that's happening tonight.

Plus, Mo Rocca gets Friendly with some good folk, Jon announces the debut of his starring role in self-produced series "Masterbate Theatre" and Sparky the Florida Electric Chair warms you heart. Thomas Gibson, Paula Cale, Ted Danson, Esai Morales, Jane Seymour, Robert Schimmel, and Ray Romano guest, as big and brassy Camryn Manheim just about rips Jonny Stew's neck off in a fit of passion.
