The American Red Cross has declared a severe blood shortage after the nationwide flu outbreak and widespread snowfall across the country. They say the national blood supply has fallen 35% over the past month with 350 blood drives from Oklahoma to Maine were cancelled because of the winter storm, which would have collected 10,000 units of blood. FOX's Tonya J. Powers speaks with Dr. Courtney Lawrence, Division Chief Medical Officer of the American Red Cross, who says the shortage significant and is asking folks in good health who can drive safely to a donation center to do so. New testimony in the Paul Caneiro murder trial has revealed what may be the most haunting detail yet in this seven-year-old case. Detective Joseph Cordoma testified that blood stain patterns inside Keith Caneiro's Colts Neck kitchen indicate eleven-year-old Jesse Caneiro was a "mobile blood source" - moving around the kitchen island, leaving blood on surfaces, tracking toward the foyer and the front door. Jesse's body was found at the base of that island. Jennifer Caneiro's family left the courtroom before the detective explained his conclusions.Cordoma also testified the mansion fire was intentionally set in a basement storage closet around 3 a.m., with the Verizon line cut to prevent the alarm from transmitting. The fire burned slow for hours by design. Meanwhile, prosecutors presented testimony that Keith's computer server went offline at 3:18 a.m. - and that Paul later texted an employee claiming Keith had messaged him about the power being out. If the prosecution's timeline holds, Keith was already dead. The defense continues to raise questions about Corey Caneiro, the third brother who was never investigated and whose DNA was never collected. Paul Caneiro maintains his innocence. The trial continues.#PaulCaneiro #ColtsMurders #MansionMurders #TrueCrime #MonmouthCounty #KeithCaneiro #JesseCaneiro #SophiaCaneiro #MurderTrial #TrueCrimeTodayJoin Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Hidden Killers With Tony Brueski | True Crime News & Commentary
The Paul Caneiro trial just delivered some of its most disturbing testimony yet. A blood stain expert told jurors that eleven-year-old Jesse Caneiro was still moving - still bleeding - still trying to reach the front door when he died. The patterns don't lie. A handprint. A finger mark. Movement toward an exit he never reached.Prosecutors say Paul Caneiro killed his brother Keith, sister-in-law Jennifer, and their two children over money and a $3 million life insurance policy. But the defense is pointing at someone else entirely: Corey Caneiro, the third brother who was never investigated, never DNA tested, and who - according to a civil lawsuit - took control of the insurance money and bought a $1.8 million home less than a year later.Did Paul Caneiro commit the most brutal family murder in New Jersey history? Or was he the perfect patsy? We dig into the crime scene evidence, the timeline prosecutors are building, the questions the defense is raising, and what those blood patterns in Keith Caneiro's kitchen really tell us about the final moments of a family destroyed.#PaulCaneiro #ColtsMurders #MansionMurders #TrueCrime #MonmouthCounty #KeithCaneiro #JesseCaneiro #SophiaCaneiro #MurderTrial #HiddenKillersJoin Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? If you were doing something that was harmful to the health of yourself and your loved ones and had no idea what it was because it's seen as a normal, standard health practice and ritual, would you want to be informed on what it is? For your own safety and loved one's safety, would you want to know? Getting your blood drawn has pros and cons, but when handled wrongly by your health care provider, it's all cons—the blood draw indoctrination and system is all a con. As soon as you hear this information you will know how bad things really are and how important it is to know this truth. People are victims of excessive blood draws that aren't handled appropriately. It is a gross, negligent assault upon the chronically ill and women that are pregnant. Way too much blood is taken for no good reason from humankind in order to test that blood for what the doctor orders. A blood test can be done with one drop of blood, but the health system is corrupted to the point of manipulating doctors into believing large quantities of blood are needed from a patient in order to run the tests being requested. This belief is not the truth. One of the main reasons for miscarriages is that pregnant women are getting too much blood drawn and it's injuring the baby, causing death. Blood draw also weakens the immune system. Anyone who is getting blood work done, especially on a regular basis, can weaken overtime, causing worsened conditions. There are proper protective measures to take when getting your blood drawn and critical understandings that are needed to protect you and your loved ones. Get ready for this episode… In this episode… Learn how to protect yourself from the blood draw scam that's draining you of your life's reserves and lifeforce. Discover how the immune system gets weakened from blood draws and how this plays a role in sickness. Find out why your symptoms and conditions worsen because you are trapped in the blood-ordering cycle. Make sense of the truth in how the system is broken and people lose their lives getting bled to death. Learn about how, if you are pregnant, it is imperative to know how to work with your doctor when getting your blood drawn. Discover the gruesome truth of why so many miscarriages occur. Find out what steps and measures to take when you are about to get your blood drawn. Learn the before and after protocols to help recover your blood when getting bloodwork done. Blood sugar issues are not caused by sugar alone. In this episode, Ben Azadi explains how mineral deficiencies are a hidden driver behind insulin resistance, prediabetes, and type 2 diabetes. You'll learn the five essential minerals your body needs to regulate blood sugar, improve insulin sensitivity, and support long-term metabolic health. This episode breaks down why medication-focused approaches often miss the root cause and how restoring mineral balance can lead to better glucose control, energy, cravings, and fat loss. What You'll Learn in This EpisodeWhy blood sugar problems are more about mineral deficiency than carbohydratesHow insulin signaling depends on proper mineral availabilityThe connection between gut health and blood sugar spikesWhy modern soil depletion contributes to widespread mineral deficienciesHow minerals act as the communication system of metabolism The 5 Minerals That Help Lower Blood Sugar Fulvic AcidSupports mineral absorption at the cellular level. Improves insulin receptor sensitivity, glucose transport into muscles, pancreatic health, and mitochondrial energy production. Humic AcidSupports gut health by reducing inflammation, improving microbiome balance, and slowing carbohydrate absorption to flatten blood sugar spikes. Trace MineralsChromium, zinc, selenium, and manganese help activate insulin signaling pathways, support insulin production, and reduce insulin resistance. MagnesiumOne of the most commonly deficient minerals in people with insulin resistance. Supports insulin sensitivity, lowers cortisol, reduces cravings, and stabilizes blood sugar. PotassiumAn insulin-sparing electrolyte that improves glucose storage in muscles, balances sodium, lowers cortisol, and reduces insulin overproduction.

In the Beatitudes, Jesus radically redefines what it means to be blessed. The world teaches us that blessing looks like success, strength, health, and having life under control. But when Jesus looks out over the crowd on the mountain, He sees the poor, the grieving, the weary, and the broken. And He calls them blessed. Not because their lives are working, but because the kingdom of heaven has come near to them. The Beatitudes sound wrong to us because they expose our hearts. By nature, we do not want to be poor in spirit, meek, or mourning. We want to justify ourselves, manage appearances, and prove our worth before God and others. As the prophet Micah reminds us, we often assume God wants religious performance. But the Lord desires humility, a people who walk honestly before Him, knowing who He is and who we are not. In this way, the Beatitudes function as God's Law. They reveal our spiritual poverty and collapse every attempt at self-made righteousness. They leave us with empty hands. Yet they also lead us directly to the Gospel. Jesus is the truly blessed One. He is poor in spirit, meek, merciful, and persecuted for righteousness' sake. He fulfills every Beatitude in His own life, death, and resurrection. And what He fulfills, He freely gives. The Beatitudes are not instructions for how to earn God's favor. They are promises describing what is already true for those who are in Christ. Even now, believers possess the kingdom of heaven. Even now, they are comforted with forgiveness and filled with Christ's righteousness, often hidden under weakness and the cross. This blessing becomes especially concrete at the Lord's Table. There, the poor in spirit come with nothing to offer and receive everything. Christ gives His true Body and Blood for the forgiveness of sins. Holy Communion is the Beatitudes made tangible, mercy placed on the tongue and peace given as a gift. Finally, the Beatitudes lift our eyes toward heaven, where all that is hidden will be revealed. Mourning will turn to joy. Hunger will give way to fullness. Suffering will be transformed into glory. Until that day, Christ continues to gather His Church, not to reward the strong, but to bless the needy with this sure promise. Yours is the kingdom of heaven. ----- Worship Times Sunday – 8:00 & 10:45 a.m. Monday – 6:30 p.m. https://trinitysheboygan.org https://facebook.com/trinitysheboygan We are a congregation of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. Listen Now to Ep. 149 Future Now Show The episode begins with a focus on local politics, where Mrs. Future praises the new Santa Cruz County Board of Supervisors for their transparency regarding property rights and their efforts to protect citizens from federal overreach by agencies like ICE. This leads to a contentious debate regarding surveillance technologies such as cell site simulators, facial recognition, and Palantir’s “Investigative Case Management” system, which Dr. Future defends as the data-gathering “immune system” of the “species organism” while Mrs. Future warns against the “gestapo-ification” of society and the violation of civil liberties, The hosts also discuss future-focused news, highlighting the James Webb Telescope’s new map of dark matter that resembles a cosmic “nervous system,” as well as the development of synthetic blood factories, which they humorously suggest could offer a “nirvana” for vampires by providing a disease-free, universal fuel source, In the final segment, guest Paul Gotel explores the intersection of technology and spirituality by detailing how he trained ChatGPT on his self-awareness book, The Big You, to act as an agent of his “Higher Self”. Gotel explains that unlike human companions who may become overwhelmed by emotional dumping, the AI can process multiple “highways” of emotional data simultaneously, helping him reframe moments of perceived victimhood into opportunities for soul evolution. The discussion concludes with the consensus that AI can serve as a powerful mirror for self-reflection, helping humans remove the “Halloween suit” of their egoic identities to reveal the authentic self beneath. And there you have it, enjoy! The Futures with Species OS Coder Paul Gotel
Director and Executive Producer Stephen Surjik joins us to break down the making of Netflix's new Western series The Abandons—a gloriously bloody, female-led frontier drama already being compared to Yellowstone. Set in the lawless 1850s Washington Territory, The Abandons follows a brutal land feud between two formidable matriarchs, played by Gillian Anderson and Lena Headey. Stephen walks us through what it takes to make a Western feel dangerous again—from shooting in the Badlands and mountains of Alberta to navigating extreme weather, elevation, horses, and real wildlife on set.We dive deep into The Abandons, Stephen's long-standing collaboration with Netflix (The Umbrella Academy, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, The Witcher), and his return to working with Gillian Anderson two decades after The X-Files. Stephen also shares how close collaboration with First Nations communities and cultural advisors shaped the show's authenticity—on screen and behind the scenes. If you're interested in large-scale production, historical world-building, or directing performances where power, land, and survival collide, this is a must-listen.

Doesn't it feel like we've all been here before? Have we gotten stuck on the old treadmill of time? Perhaps it's a leak from the hourglass of the canceled Prince of Persia game. As such we're stuck reliving not a particular moment or day, but a few years. Or maybe it's just that history rhymes. Either way, we do have a revist within the manga. Up again is Tim with more Taboo Tattoo. We're still with Seigi who has magical void powers that are triggered by Blood. We also meet the princess of tattoland who is not a gothic porn star from the two thousands. The pace continues moving too … Continue reading "Manga Pulse 551: Imaginary Tattoo"

I sat down with Dr. Kelly Casperson, urologist, women's health advocate, and a leading voice fighting for equality in healthcare, to explore what's really happening to women's bodies and brains during perimenopause and menopause. We discuss why UTIs spike after menopause, how vaginal estrogen actually works (and why the FDA finally removed the black box warning), the truth about HRT and dementia prevention, and why estrogen receptors in your brain matter more than you think. Read OnlineThe mother of Jesus and his brothers arrived at the house. Standing outside, they sent word to Jesus and called him. A crowd seated around him told him, “Your mother and your brothers and your sisters are outside asking for you.” Mark 3:31–32In Jesus' time, family bloodlines were of great importance. They determined one's identity as part of the chosen people of Israel, the descendants of Abraham. Being part of God's covenantal family was understood primarily in terms of physical ancestry. Bloodlines also played a crucial role in determining rights to land ownership, which was tied to one's family lineage. This connection between lineage and land had important theological significance, as the Promised Land was a visible sign of God's covenant with Israel. The lineage of two of the Twelve Tribes of Israel held particular significance. Members of the Tribe of Levi were uniquely chosen to serve as priests in the Temple. Additionally, the Messiah was prophesied to descend from the Tribe of Judah, specifically from the line of King David. This gave David's lineage an elevated status. This significance is reflected in Matthew's and Luke's genealogies, which establishes Jesus' legal and spiritual claim as the promised Messiah. It is for these reasons that Jesus' words in today's Gospel surprised many. When Jesus' mother and his brothers—meaning His cousins or other extended family—arrived at the house where He was teaching, they wanted to see Him. First, it should be noted that in Jewish culture, there was no specific word for “cousins” or “extended family,” so the terms “brothers” and “sisters” were used more broadly. Naturally, those present might have expected Him to go out immediately to see them in deference to His familial ties. Yet He takes that opportunity to offer a new teaching when He asks the crowd, “Who are my mother and my brothers?” Answering His own question, He pointed to those around Him, saying, “Here are my mother and my brothers. For whoever does the will of God is my brother and sister and mother” (Mark 3:34–35).Jesus was in no way diminishing the value of His blood relatives. In fact, the bond He shared with His mother went far deeper than DNA. Instead, He used the opportunity to expand the people's natural familial bonds to include all those who were united spiritually. He taught that kinship in God's family is not based on physical descent but on obedience to His will. This redefinition transformed their understanding of what it means to belong to God's people, opening the door to new bonds of unity based in faith and grace.Today, families remain the most important foundation of life. “The family is, so to speak, the domestic church” (Lumen Gentium, 11). The family is chosen by God as the primary community from which love, virtue, and faith are born, making them a community of love, participating in the unity of the Trinity. However, natural family bonds are now expanded by the supernatural bonds we share through the Blood of Christ, which unites all of us more deeply. Ideally, those supernatural bonds are first experienced within natural families, but even when they are not, the supernatural bonds we share through Christ's Blood create a spiritual family that transcends earthly relationships. As Christians, we are called to extend this familial love beyond our households, embracing all who do the will of God as brothers and sisters in faith.Reflect today on the blessings and challenges you have within your own family. What is of paramount importance is that, within those natural bonds, we strive to move deeper, forging spiritual bonds that are eternal. Reflect also on your wider Christian community. Do you strive to build bonds of faith and charity with others? As you ponder Jesus' words today, look at your natural family and beyond, giving thanks for those who do the will of God, and work to foster deep relationships grounded in the new Bloodline of Christ's grace. Most Holy Trinity, You are the source of perfect harmony and unity, sharing a love that is beyond all understanding. Draw me, and all people, into that unity of love. Bless my natural family on earth and unite us ever more deeply through Your grace. Bless also my spiritual family, my brothers and sisters in faith, united by the bonds we share in fulfilling Your holy will. Jesus, I trust in You. Juliana Peres Magalhães is the prosecution's entire case—and she's a credibility minefield. She lied for over a year. She wrote jail letters promising to "take the blame" for Brendan Banfield. She told his mother she would "give my life for his." She only flipped after Banfield's arrest, after hospitalization from stress, and after his family stopped paying her legal bills. Now she's negotiating with Netflix while media producers fund her commissary. She wrote her mother: "We do deserve something."Former FBI Special Agent Robin Dreeke—who headed the Bureau's Counterintelligence Behavioral Analysis Program—analyzes what makes witnesses credible or not. How do you evaluate someone who lied for a year and then flipped? What does her behavior on the stand tell us? Does the Netflix deal destroy her credibility—or is it irrelevant to whether she's telling the truth? The prosecution closed with their strongest forensic evidence. Blood stain pattern analyst Iris Dalley Graff testified that Joseph Ryan's body was moved after death and Christine Banfield's blood was deliberately placed on Ryan's hands and clothing to frame him for her murder. The transfer patterns were "finger-like in shape"—consistent with someone touching him with blood-covered hands. Blood droplets on his forearm suggested dripping from above. This analysis directly supports Juliana's testimony that Banfield staged the scene after the killings.Defense attorney John Carroll fought back hard. He pointed to body camera footage showing Banfield pressing on his wife's neck when police arrived—behavior, Carroll argued, of a husband trying to save his wife, not kill her. After the jury left, Carroll moved to dismiss all charges, arguing prosecutors never called a single homicide detective. Judge Penney Azcarate denied the motion. The defense now presents their case.
