This episode is about Joseph Smith. This episode includes testimonies from many different people. From the manual: The afternoon of June 27, 1844, found Joseph and Hyrum Smith in jail once again, accompanied by John Taylor and Willard Richards. They believed they were innocent of any crime, but they submitted to arrest, hoping to prevent violence against the Saints in Nauvoo. This wasn't the first time that enemies of the Church had put the Prophet Joseph in prison, but this time he seemed to know that he would not return alive. He and his friends tried to comfort each other by reading from the Book of Mormon and singing hymns. Then gunshots were heard, and within a few minutes the mortal lives of Joseph Smith and his brother Hyrum had come to an end. And yet it was not the end of the divine cause they had embraced. And it was not the end of the Restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ. There was more work to do and more revelation that would guide the Church forward. Killing the Prophet could not kill the work of God. Please also watch this, I forgot to mention it on the podcast but it's one of my all time favorite talks about the Prophet Joseph Smith. It's called, "Safety for the Soul" by Jeffrey R Holland. Safety for the Soul - Jeffrey R. Holland

The ALL ME® Podcast Do You Need URO-A and CoQ-10 In Your Life? – Dr. Emily Werner In this episode of the ALL ME Podcast, Don Hooton speaks with Dr. Emily Werner, a sports dietitian for the Philadelphia 76ers. They discuss Dr. Werner's journey into sports nutrition, her experiences working with professional athletes, and the importance of building relationships with players to effectively communicate nutritional advice. The conversation also covers the role of nutrition in enhancing athletic performance, the collaboration with external nutrition professionals, and the significance of specific nutrients like Urolithin A in supporting athletes' health and performance. In this conversation, Dr. Emily Werner discusses the significance of gut health, the role of Urolithin A and CoQ10 as supplements, and the importance of dietary choices in maintaining optimal health. She emphasizes the need for targeted supplementation due to the decline in gut microbiome diversity and the natural production of CoQ10 with age. The discussion also highlights the role of dietitians in assessing nutritional deficiencies through blood work, particularly in athletes, and the evolving landscape of dietary supplements. To Purchase urolithin A in supplement form, Emily recommends purchasing from www.timeline.com Takeaways Dr. Werner's journey into sports nutrition began with a love for anatomy and physiology. Building relationships with athletes is crucial for effective nutrition counseling. Nutrition plays a vital role in the performance and longevity of athletes. Urolithin A is a metabolite that supports mitochondrial health. Athletes often have their own chefs or nutritionists, complicating team dynamics. Effective communication with external nutrition professionals is essential. Traveling with the team allows for better food coordination and athlete support. Nutrition education is important for young athletes to enhance their performance. The importance of nutrition has grown in professional sports over the years. Athletes benefit from a diet rich in fruits, nuts, and other nutrient-dense foods. Not everyone has the right gut microbiome for nutrient conversion. Urolithin A is a supplement that addresses bioavailability issues. Foundational supplements like Urolithin A can benefit everyone. CoQ10 is essential for energy production in mitochondria. CoQ10 helps clear out reactive oxygen species in the body. Urolithin A and CoQ10 can work synergistically for health. Dietary sources of CoQ10 include meat and fish. Statins can deplete natural CoQ10 levels in the body. Blood work can reveal nutritional deficiencies in athletes. Dietitians play a crucial role in nutritional health and prevention. For some couples, conception looks quick and effortless. For others, it's a long, humbling journey that asks you to rethink everything you thought you knew about your body, your faith, and your timeline. In this episode of the Nutritional Therapy and Wellness Podcast, host Jamie Belz talks with Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (FNTP) and fertility mentor Calista (Callie) Chammas, founder of Nourish with Calista, to explore a raw, hopeful, deeply bio-individual look at growing a family in an increasingly infertile world. After graduating from the Nutritional Therapy Association in 2019, Calista found her calling in fertility through the fires of her own journey - 13 years on the pill, post-birth-control chaos, "unexplained infertility," medicated cycles, IUI, IVF, and a 42-week home birth. She and her husband now await the arrival of their second child. Calista works with women and families navigating both simple and complex fertility challenges, using ancestral nutrition, targeted lifestyle shifts, nervous-system regulation, precise Functional Blood Chemistry analysis, and the Foundations of Health as taught through the Nutritional Therapy Association, to help restore ovulation and optimize the environment for conception. She is also co-creating a powerful upcoming program, Nourish Your Radiant Fertility - bridging functional nutrition and Traditional Chinese Medicine for truly holistic preconception support. Together, Jamie and Callie dig into the realities behind falling fertility rates, the aftermath of long-term birth control use, why ovulation is the real monthly vital sign, how labels like "infertile" can quietly shape outcomes, and why safety, mindset, and nervous-system regulation may matter as much as lab work. They share accessible, affordable Foundations of Health: nutrient-dense ancestral foods, blood-sugar balance, mineral-rich hydration, stress regulation, sleep, nature exposure, circadian rhythm, and community support - and speak to the financially and ethically complicated aspects of IVF. Bio-individuality refuses the false choice between "all conventional" and "all holistic." This episode is especially for couples navigating the gray zone—those who want to understand why their body is struggling, who don't want to be reduced to a diagnosis, and who want a real pathway forward, whether they use natural methods, IVF, or both. Topics Discussed: Hypothalamus–Pituitary–Ovarian (HPO) axis Post-birth-control syndrome Ovulation as a vital sign "Unexplained infertility" and medical labeling Nervous system regulation/parasympathetic activation Fertility & safety signaling Ancestral nutrient-dense foods Blood sugar regulation & Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) (insulin resistance of the ovaries) Mineral-rich hydration/electrolytes Circadian rhythm & morning sunlight Nature exposure for nervous system balance Stress perception Natural-cycle embryo transfer Ethical Considerations in Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART) Medical gaslighting & advocating for yourself Male factor infertility & sperm DNA fragmentation Community support during fertility journeys Boundaries with family/pressure dynamics Identity vs. diagnosis reframing Fortifying the Foundations of Health: Nutrient-dense diet, hydration, digestion, blood sugar regulation, sleep, stress, joyful movement Related and Complementary Podcast Episodes: Episode 71: A Fertility Journey to Natural Pregnancy Through Foundational Healing Episode 61: PCOS Root Cause Episode 28: Blood Sugar 101 - Hope for Reversing Diabetes and Pre-Diabetes Episode 29: Quick Tips for Blood Sugar Episode 62: MORE Quick Tips for Blood Sugar Episode 9: Food For Fertility Episode 66: SIBO Symptoms and Solutions Episode 6: The Dr. Francis M Pottenger Episode Episode 69: The Dr. Weston A Price Episode Episode 46: Wellness 101 Episode 60: Super Foods, Super Kids Episode 4: Bio-Individuality Episode 11: Digestive Hell (Learn DIGESTION from the NTA's founder, Gray Graham) Episode 10: Optimal Wellness Starts Here (How DIGESTION is supposed to work!) In this episode of the Braun Performance & Rehab Podcast, Dan is joined by Michael MacPherson to discuss BFR training (Blood flow restriction) adaptations, including endurance gains and other physiological considerations. Dr. Michael MacPherson's diverse background in college athletics, education, coaching, and surgical consulting has given him a unique perspective on human performance, rehabilitation, and recovery. His work spans from training high-level athletes to helping individuals regain function after surgery—all with a focus on optimizing results through innovative methods like Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) training. Dr. MacPherson has worked with individuals across the lifespan, from children as young as three to adults in their nineties. His passion for health and performance began as a collegiate football player at Michigan Technological University. After his playing career ended, he transitioned into strength and conditioning, coaching at both Michigan Tech and the University of Toledo. He then spent a decade teaching and coaching at the high school level, where he built a speed and strength program that expanded to serve athletes from elementary school through high school. He also began virtual training, programming, and consulting, working with teams and athletes. After 10 years in the weight room, Dr. MacPherson shifted his focus to sports medicine, working as a surgical consultant in the operating room. Observing procedures like ACL reconstructions, meniscus repairs, rotator cuff repairs, femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) corrections, and lateral ankle reconstructions firsthand, he became increasingly focused on rehabilitation strategies tailored to each surgery and patient. It was in the operating room that he discovered Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) training and its ability to enhance recovery, build strength, and accelerate rehabilitation with minimal mechanical stress. Once he understood the benefits of BFR, there was no turning back. He has since dedicated himself to educating thousands of athletic trainers, physical therapists, and strength coaches on the science and application of BFR. Recognizing that education is a major barrier preventing many from utilizing this powerful tool, he has immersed himself in research and outreach to bridge the gap between science and practice. For more on Michael, be sure to check out clinicalbfr.com and @clinicalbfr and @dr_macpherson on Instagram! *SEASON 6 of the Braun Performance & Rehab Podcast is brought to you by Isophit. Today's Gospel (Matthew 8:5–11) introduces us to the humility and faith of the centurion — the same words we repeat at every Mass: “Lord, I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof…” On this second day of Peace on Earth, Fr. Jonathan Meyer invites you to enter Advent with a Eucharistic heart. Christ came 2,000 years ago, He will come again in glory, and He comes to us every single day in the Most Blessed Sacrament. Today's reflection asks: • How will your Advent become more Eucharistic? • Where is Christ inviting you to dwell with Him? • How can you deepen your love for Jesus truly present — Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity? We're reminded of the many ways we can allow the Eucharist to shape our Advent: • praying with the daily Mass readings • visiting Jesus in Eucharistic Adoration • spending time in silence • entering a small group • serving in liturgical ministries • or simply sitting in the presence of Christ in the tabernacle “Behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.” (Mt 28:20) He is here. He is with us. How will you let Him transform your Advent? Share this video with someone who could be encouraged today. And if you haven't signed up yet:

Steve Katz is an American guitarist, singer, songwriter, and producer whose career runs through some of the most important corners of 1960s and 1970s rock. Growing up in New York, he gravitated to the Greenwich Village folk scene as a teenager, learning from major figures in the acoustic blues and folk world. That grounding in traditional music gave his playing a strong sense of melody, dynamics, and feel that carried into his later electric work. Rather than chasing virtuoso flash, Katz developed into a musician whose parts always serve the song. His first notable recordings came with the Even Dozen Jug Band, but he really came into focus with The Blues Project. In that band he played guitar, sang, and contributed original songs, helping to blend folk, blues, and the emerging psychedelic sound. The Blues Project's willingness to stretch out musically, while still holding on to roots material, was a good fit for Katz's background. His role was often to glue the music together: rhythm work, smart voicings, and lines that threaded between vocals and lead instruments.Katz's best‑known work arrived when he became a founding member of Blood, Sweat & Tears. In the original lineup and on the album “Child Is Father to the Man,” he played guitar, sang, and wrote material that helped shape the band's distinctive mix of rock, soul, and jazz‑inflected horn arrangements. His guitar parts in this context are understated but essential, leaving room for brass and vocals while adding texture and groove. Even when he stepped forward as a singer or songwriter, the overall impression is of a musician deeply committed to ensemble playing.Beyond his role as a guitarist, Katz built a substantial career behind the glass as a producer and in record‑label work. He produced notable albums for artists like Lou Reed and Elliott Murphy, bringing a player's perspective into the studio and focusing on capturing strong performances. Later, he worked in A&R and as an executive, as well as producing albums for the Irish band Horslips, which connected his folk background with Celtic rock. This combination of performing, writing, producing, and talent development gives his résumé a breadth that many guitarists never attempt. In more recent years, Steve Katz has continued to perform, often in intimate “songs and stories” formats where he mixes playing with anecdotes from his long career. He has also written and spoken about his experiences in the music business, reflecting on everything from the Greenwich Village days to arena‑level success. For current information on his projects, performances, and background, see his website: https://stevekatzmusic.wordpress.com/
Joseph Scott Morgan was the Senior Investigator for the Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office in Atlanta, Georgia for fourteen years, managing a staff of 11 medicolegal death investigators while maintaining a personal caseload of 200-300 deaths per year. Prior to his tenure at FCMEO, Joseph was a Forensic Investigator with the Jefferson Parish Coroner's Office in New Orleans, LA for six years. In addition to his death investigative duties, Morgan served as an autopsy assistant, conducting more than 7000 autopsies over his two decades in two of the south's most beautiful and violent cities. Morgan has recently completed research involving the largest national study of U.S. coroners ever conducted-the initial findings of which he was invited to present at the 2011 meeting of the American Association of Behavioral and Social Sciences. In 1999 Joseph earned the status of Board Registered Diplomate of the American Board of Medicolegal Death Investigators-one of the first nationally to be awarded that honor. Along with this professional achievement, Joseph holds a Master of Forensic Sciences degree from National University in LaJolla, CA. Since beginning his current tenure as an Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice and Forensics at North Georgia College and State University, Morgan has been instrumental in establishing the first concentration in Investigative Forensics for the University System of Georgia. Morgan has focused heavily on ongoing research pertaining to the American Coroner System, and is today regarded as one of the leading experts on Coroner training in America. - www.josephscottmorgan.comBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-x-zone-radio-tv-show--1078348/support.Please note that all XZBN radio and/or television shows are Copyright © REL-MAR McConnell Meda Company, Niagara, Ontario, Canada – www.rel-mar.com. Sure, you remember him as the first real rocker in American Idol history. The man who went neck-and-neck with Carrie Underwood on American Idol. But did you know he was the frontman for Blood, Sweat and Tears for 7 years? Or that he sang in a Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute band? Or that it was his friendship with members of Ides of March that led him to do "Vehicle" on American Idol and later release it as a wildly successful single? Other than music, Bo has some unique perspectives on life and a great sense of humor, including the best “why I hate golf” story! This is a must listen! Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Time to meet some more Thanksgiving Beasts. Welcome to East Hartford, Connecticut, home to some of the worst “recincrapments” we've ever seen in a true crime TV special and also some armless lizards and inexplicably decapitated fish. We're not kidding. It's all on offer in episode 7 of season 6 of BLOOD RELATIVES, entitled "Thanksgiving Day Charade". We're not sure what the charade is here except for bad wigs and questionable set dressing and some of the worst reenactments we've ever seen. But like so many of our Thanksgiving themed true crime specials, this one does for Turkey Day what JAWS did for the beach. Also, did we mention the lizard?

A new mishnah! If the blood of an offering were mixed with blood... it is still acceptable as an offering. What if it were mixed with wine? Or if the bloods mingled.... The blood must appear to be blood, at the very least, rather than whatever other liquid it might have mingled with. Plus, the debate over what it means for the blood to be recognizable. And the question of which liquid becomes the majority - whether it's like with like, or different substances, with ramifications for whether the mixture can be used on the altar.

”Do you see my skin through the flames”. Dev Hynes är helt enkelt en av världens coolaste artister.

“Is the Eucharist a Literal Sacrifice or a Symbolic Act?” This episode delves into the nature of the Eucharist, addressing questions like whether Jesus spoke symbolically when He said, “This is my body,” and how His command to ‘eat my flesh and drink my blood' aligns with Jewish law. We also explore the implications of Jesus' words, “Do this in remembrance of me,” and the teachings of the Book of Hebrews. Join the Catholic Answers Live Club Newsletter Invite our apologists to speak at your parish! Visit Catholicanswersspeakers.com Questions Covered: 02:36 – Wasn't Jesus speaking symbolically when He said, “This is my body”? 15:15 – Wouldn't Jesus' command to ‘eat my flesh and drink my blood' violate Jewish law against consuming blood? 37:25 – Didn't Jesus say, “Do this in remembrance of me”? Doesn't that clearly indicate the Eucharist is a memorial, not a literal sacrifice? 40:20 – Doesn't the Book of Hebrews teach that Christ's sacrifice was ‘once for all'? How can the Catholic Mass be a true sacrifice without re-sacrificing Christ? 49:00 – Wouldn't Jesus' command to ‘eat my flesh' be cannibalism
