I am delighted to welcome Amy Matthews to the podcast, who is not only an award-winning author but also an Associate Professor in Creative Writing at Flinders University. Long story short? This woman knows (and loves) talking romance. Under her many pen names she's written titles such as 'Someone Else's Bucket List', 'Best, First and Last', 'The McBrides of Montana' series and the 'Frontiers of The Heart' series. In this episode we discuss the evolution of Amy's career from literary fiction to becoming a prolific romance writer, the process of crafting compelling romantic stories, and the joy of immersing ourselves in research. I just finished her latest novel 'Best, First and Last' and I highly recommend you get around it. Having said that, there are no book spoilers until around 30 minutes into the episode so you're all good to just dive in to hear a great chat between two romance lovers. Love you, more than a friend x LINKS: You can learn more about Amy's work here and follow her on socials here Follow me on tikok and instagram Follow the podcast on instagram Order my debut novel Love on the Air

In this episode of The Cordial Catholic, I'm joined by the incredible Dr. Peter Kreeft, philosopher, theologian, and one of the most important modern converts to the Catholic faith to unpack his own conversion journey and discuss why it makes good logical, philosophical, biblical, and historical sense to become Catholic. We talk about his journey from Calvinism to Catholicism, the centrality and logical sense of the Eucharist, the Reformation, and much, much more. Including, of course, his objections to Catholicism. This is one of those "Bucket List" conversations for me as someone who encountered Dr. Kreeft early on in my conversion journey and read just about everything he ever wrote. What an amazing conversation. For more from Dr. Kreeft check out his website. His new book, From Calvinist to Catholic, is simply wonderful too.Send your feedback to cordialcatholic@gmail.com. In this week's episode, Josh and I are discussing the many things that have been happening in sports this week. We discuss the big baseball news, while also discussing the MLB playoffs. We decided that only talking about that would be too short of an episode, so we said let's talk about our sport experience bucket list.
On this episode, we run through Cassidy's San Diego bucket list—from swimming with leopard sharks and kayaking in La Jolla Cove to grabbing food at a few local spots and staying at a go-to Coronado hotel. We also talk a little Padres and briefly check in on what's happening with San Diego FC.

What happens when you hit all the milestones society tells you to chase, yet still feel empty inside? For Jeremy George, that existential crisis led to a year-long battle with suicidal thoughts despite having a beautiful New York apartment, career success, and financial stability.Everything changed when three consecutive wake-up calls shattered Jeremy's perception of what makes a meaningful life. His mother's near-death experience during a routine surgery, the global pandemic's stark reminder of life's fragility, and unexpectedly losing his job created the perfect storm that forced Jeremy to confront a powerful question: If so much in life is beyond our control, why not intentionally pursue what truly matters? His answer was bold – attempt 52 bucket list items in 52 weeks. But Jeremy's adventure wasn't about adrenaline stunts or Instagram-worthy moments (though he did bike 650 miles down the California coast and go cliff jumping in Hawaii). The true transformation came through his one fundamental rule: recruit at least one person to help with each goal. This simple principle revealed something profound – our most meaningful experiences come through connection, not achievement.Jeremy completed 32 of his 52 goals – what he calls a "D-minus" by academic standards. Yet this "failure" became one of his most valuable lessons. Whether getting rejected from reality TV shows or losing miserably while trying to multiply money in Las Vegas, he discovered life's richness comes from attempting what matters, not necessarily succeeding. This revelation inspired Jeremy to create Bucket Match, a platform connecting people based on shared bucket list goals, making dreams more achievable through community. After all, sharing your goals with others makes you nearly 78% more likely to achieve them than keeping them to yourself.Ready to rediscover what truly matters to you? Certain retreat destinations seem to simply sell themselves. Why does this happen and how can you use this information to sell your retreats more quickly and easily? In this conversation with Lily Dwyer Begg, we explain our theory of trending and bucket list retreat locations - and how she has used it to carefully curate her portfolio of retreat destinations. You'll also hear about how to build retreats around personal values, and why a local home-cooked meal can be more meaningful than a luxury resort.
