WARBIRD RADIO - The summer season of Warbird Radio kicks off in grand style with a brand-new episode featuring one of the true legends of the warbird world: Warren Pietsch.Hailing from the iconic Pietsch family of North Dakota, Warren grew up surrounded by flying and hospitality at his family's FBO operation at the Minot Airport — a place long known for its aviation excellence. While Warren's flying talents are widely respected across the airshow circuit, this latest conversation dives deeper into his extraordinary ability to restore and preserve priceless aviation history.Warren shares the incredible story behind his newest project — Thunderbird, the famed P-51 Mustang once owned by none other than Hollywood legend and WWII bomber pilot Jimmy Stewart. With his signature mix of humility and insight, Warren walks us through the journey of bringing Thunderbird back to life. Joining the conversation is his longtime friend and fellow warbird collector Bruce Eames, whose passion for historic aircraft helps bring even more depth to the discussion. But that's just the beginning…We also catch up with Scott Clyman from Cockpit USA and the incomparable American Airpower Museum in Long Island, New York. A recently retired F-16 pilot, Scott grew up at his family's museum, working on and flying warbirds — and today, he's carrying on both the aviation and apparel legacy. From maintaining rare aircraft to crafting the legendary A-2 leather flight jackets worn by generations of American aviators, Scott's story is a powerful reminder that preserving history is both a calling and a craft. This episode has it all — heroes, history, restorations, and the unmistakable sound of warbirds echoing through time.Be sure to like, follow, and subscribe so you never miss an episode. The Warbird Radio summer season has officially begun — and we're just getting started.Listen now at WarbirdRadio.com or wherever you get your podcasts.#dakotaterritoryairmuseum #warrenpietsch #cockpitusa #americanairpowermuseum #NWOCSupport this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/warbird-radio/donationsAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

Did you know the way your voice sounds matters twice as much as the content you're speaking on?    Our guest today is Rachel Pietsch, a multi-award-winning vocal coach and accredited voice function expert who guides both speakers and singers to bring ease, protection and longevity to their voices.    In our conversation, Rachel shares her fascinating insights into vocal mechanics and the impact a confident and well-projected voice can have on our leadership.    The Journey to Vocal Mastery Rachel's journey to becoming a voice coach is nothing short of inspirational. Initially a piano teacher, Rachel transitioned into voice coaching and over the course of 15 years, has studied various pedagogies, achieving advanced accreditation and mastering the technical expertise required to train voices effectively. She shares how this journey not only ironed out the issues in her own voice but also equipped her with the tools to help others achieve their vocal goals.   Voice as a Tool for Leadership and Public Speaking Rachel emphasises that the way a leader's voice sounds can significantly influence their effectiveness. As leaders, we often have many people looking up to us and seeking our direction. A voice that exudes confidence can help them in building trust and receiving our words in the way we intend.    Rachel explains that with proper training, including strengthening and coordination exercises, anyone can improve their vocal quality. For public speakers, additional performance aspects like intonation, pacing and vocal dynamics are crucial.    Practical Tips To combat nerves and improve vocal projection, Rachel shares some practical exercises involving breathing and specific sounds that can help to relax the vocal cords. She takes us through the concept of breathing low into the diaphragm to reduce strain and enhance sound quality.    Rachel's own experience and transformation serve as a testament to the power of dedicated practice and proper mechanics in achieving a confident, impactful voice. She encourages us to believe in our potential to become influential through our speech and that with the right guidance, anyone can develop a confident, resonant voice.   So join us in this fascinating conversation and get inspired to embrace the power of using your voice in your leadership journey!   Connect with Rachel:  Website: https://www.rachelpietschvocalstudio.com.au/home    Order My New Book “You Always Have A Choice” here  Connect with Julie: LinkedIn:    https://www.linkedin.com/in/julie-hyde/ Instagram: @juliehydeleads Website:     https://juliehyde.com.auSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Welcome to another episode of Category Visionaries — the show that explores GTM stories from tech's most innovative B2B founders. In today's episode, we're speaking with Malte Pietsch, CTO & Co-Founder of Deepset, an enterprise LLM platform that has raised over $45 Million in funding. Here are the most interesting points from our conversation: Deepset's Mission: Deepset aims to enable the transformation towards intelligent applications by allowing engineering teams to build, evaluate, and rapidly deploy AI features necessary for their products. Product Offering: Deepset provides two key products: Haystack, an open-source framework for orchestrating AI applications into pipelines for individual devs, and Deepset Cloud, a SaaS platform for enterprise teams to build, deploy, and manage AI features at scale. The Impact of ChatGPT: The release of ChatGPT marked a significant turning point for AI, shifting from niche applications to mainstream awareness and adoption. This brought new challenges and opportunities for Deepset in navigating a market with increased interest and competition. Early Convictions and Challenges: Despite the uncertainties in the early stages of AI's market acceptance, Deepset's team held a strong conviction about the potential of AI in transforming interactions with machines. This belief, coupled with their close work with customers, fueled their perseverance through periods of doubt. Rising Above Noise: In a post-ChatGPT world teeming with AI startups and funding, Deepset focuses on demonstrating clear business value by transitioning from prototype to production, highlighting their commitment to solving real-world use cases over merely creating impressive demos. Open Source and Commercial Products: Deepset's journey included an early focus on open-source projects, leading to the development of their commercial platform, Deepset Cloud. This dual approach has allowed them to build a community, establish credibility, and cater to a broad spectrum of developers and enterprise customers.

Welcome to The Nonlinear Library, where we use Text-to-Speech software to convert the best writing from the Rationalist and EA communities into audio. This is: How effective are the "Best Charities by Cause" organizations recommended by Charity Navigator?, published by Max Pietsch on February 10, 2023 on The Effective Altruism Forum. After acquiring Impact Matters, Charity Navigator now includes impact as a criteria for the charities they recommend here. Charity Navigator's criteria for recommending these charities is less clear than for instance GiveWell's criteria, so I'm unsure of how effective these organizations truly are. Any insight is appreciated. Thanks for listening. To help us out with The Nonlinear Library or to learn more, please visit nonlinear.org.
