In this Losers Are Winners episode, Mark and Trapper Roderick dig into what's changing fast in high-performance, wellness-forward homes. They connect the dots between building science and real-life health: cleaner air, better water, smarter ventilation, and materials that don't make your body quietly revolt. They also get into the fun stuff—saunas, cold plunges, steam showers, and gyms with the best views in the house (because misery loves a basement…until it doesn't). Come for the wellness trends, stay for the mechanical-room truth bombs and the accidental dad-joke chaos. Summary In this episode, Ali Damron discusses the complexities of hormonal imbalances, particularly in women experiencing perimenopause. She emphasizes that while hormones play a significant role in various symptoms, lifestyle factors such as chronic stress, self-criticism, and lack of boundaries are often overlooked. Ali explains how the nervous system's state can impact overall health, digestion, and emotional well-being. She advocates for a holistic approach to healing that includes understanding the nervous system, managing stress, and practicing self-compassion. The conversation concludes with practical strategies for improving health and well-being. Takeaways Many women blame their hormones for various symptoms. Lifestyle factors often contribute more to hormonal issues than hormones themselves. Chronic stress can lead to a state of fight-or-flight, affecting overall health. The nervous system plays a crucial role in digestion and hormone regulation. Self-compassion is essential for managing stress and improving health. Healing the nervous system involves doing less, not more. Creating a sense of safety in life can improve health outcomes. Practical strategies for stress management can enhance well-being. Understanding the connection between stress and physical symptoms is vital. Consulting with a healthcare provider can help address unique health concerns. sound bites "My hormones are a mess!" Dementia is one of the greatest fears associated with aging—but what if it didn't have to mean loss, disappearance, or despair? In this deeply moving episode, author and arts innovator Marilyn Raichle shares how walking toward her mother, rather than away, transformed dementia into a journey of presence, creativity, connection, and joy. This conversation offers a profoundly human reframe of memory loss and aging. For many people, dementia is equated with the loss of self, meaning, and value. Families are often advised—explicitly or implicitly—to disengage emotionally, preparing for inevitable decline and disappearance. But how we approach dementia shapes not only quality of life for those living with it, but also the emotional, psychological, and biological stress experienced by care partners. Chronic fear, grief, and disengagement accelerate aging for everyone involved, while presence, joy, and connection support resilience and healthspan. Author of Don't Walk Away, A Care Partner's Journey, Marilyn Raichle brings a rare perspective shaped by a lifetime in the performing arts and nine years as a care partner to her mother, Jean. Through art, shared joy, and daily presence, Marilyn discovered that her mother was not "gone," but distilled to her essential humanity—creative, competitive, loving, and alive. Listeners will learn how creativity opens pathways to connection, why joy is possible even in advanced dementia, and how reframing the experience from caregiving to partnership transforms both lives. Summary In this conversation, Ali Damron and Kylie Larson explore the intersection of artificial intelligence and health and fitness. They discuss the benefits of AI in nutrition tracking and meal planning, while also addressing its limitations in personal health assessments. The conversation emphasizes the importance of human insight in navigating health decisions, particularly when it comes to mental health and hormonal issues. They reflect on the balance between leveraging technology and maintaining cognitive engagement in health practices. Takeaways AI is widely used for nutrition tracking and meal planning. The effectiveness of AI depends on the quality of prompts given. AI can exhibit biases in its responses, often aligning with user preferences. Human input is crucial for interpreting AI-generated health advice. AI can provide information, but action is necessary for results. Understanding personal health requires more than just data; context matters. Mental health and hormonal issues often intertwine, complicating diagnoses. AI can help organize thoughts but shouldn't replace human creativity. Cognitive engagement is essential for maintaining mental acuity. Health decisions should consider both physical and mental health factors. Sound bites "Prompts are everything with AI." "AI can be biased in its responses." "Are we outsourcing our thinking?" Most people say they want love, then date like they're configuring a device: height, income, politics, trauma level, texting cadence, therapy status, “emotional intelligence,” travel appetite—tick, tick, tick. It feels safe. It feels efficient. It feels like control. But love isn't mechanical. People aren't programmable. They have grey areas: prickly parts, warm parts, avoidant parts, tender parts, contradictions, history. A checklist can't measure inner world alignment, truth-telling, repair ability, or whether two people can actually build safety together. I unpack how romantic idealism can make you naïve—especially when you grew up in warmth and assume everyone else did too. Then reality hits: people don't always tell the truth, not always under pressure, and if you don't interrogate someone's inner world you end up in cycles that feel “mystical” but are actually predictable scripts. The shift is simple: keep your values, drop the robot requirements. Choose moment-to-moment evidence. Build the skill of doing things well with people—clarity, repair, accountability, warmth. Then create a vehicle for connection that's alive, consistent, and real. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Learn how to negotiate smarter by using flexibility, contract timelines, and inspection strategy—without giving up the protections first-time buyers need. This episode breaks down what actually drives real estate negotiations (and why preparation months ahead protects your leverage). You'll learn how earnest money, contingency timelines, seller disclosures, and home inspections shape both your risk and your negotiating power. It also covers why asking for credits can be cleaner than repair requests—and closes with a practical credit score “nugget” to help you avoid last-minute financing surprises.“It all comes down to two simple concepts. Dating can start to feel confusing when attraction keeps pulling you toward the same kinds of outcomes, even when you know you want something deeper. In this episode, we slow the conversation down and look at what attraction is really pointing to beneath the surface. We talk about the difference between chasing a checklist and recognizing character, and why many women find themselves drawn to qualities that do not actually create the relationship they want. In this episode, we discuss:- The difference between attraction to outcomes versus attraction to character and principles- Why focusing only on conventional attractiveness can cause you to miss emotionally available partners- How attraction can grow through emotional safety, integrity, and shared values- The concept of limerence and how it can distort attraction signals- Why instant chemistry is not always a reliable indicator of compatibility- The role of nervous system safety in attraction and connection- Moving out of transactional dating patterns and into value based connection#ForTheLoveOfMenPodcast #DatingWithIntention #FeminineEnergy #MasculineEnergy #HealthyRelationships #EmotionalAvailability #ConsciousDating #AttractionPsychology #RelationshipGrowth #SecureAttachmentWant to work with Bri and/or Courtney?Connect with Bri on Instagram: @buildingbricoachingConnect with Courtney on Instagram: @courtney_schandFollow the show on Instagram: @thefortheloveofmenpodcastCheck out our website: www.fortheloveofmenpodcast.comLooking for deeper support?Check out our Masterclasses:1️⃣ What Your Woman Wants Emotionally And How to Provide It: Unlock the secrets to fulfilling your partner emotionally! He covered his face. He covered his hands. Someone made sure of that. But nobody told him about the camera on the front door. We asked Robin Dreeke what that tells us about whoever did.Dreeke spent 21 years at the FBI and ran the Counterintelligence Behavioral Analysis Program. His career was understanding the relationship between the person who plans and the person who shows up. We brought him the Nancy Guthrie footage and asked him to read it not for who the man on the porch is — but for what the footage reveals about whoever put him there. We asked what the gap between forensic awareness and improvised camera defeat indicates about how this man was briefed and how much of the full picture he was given. We asked what the operation itself — target selection, schedule knowledge, camera removal, silent extraction of a mobility-limited 84-year-old — tells us about the planning profile behind it. We asked about the 41-minute timeline gap and what it reveals about coordination. And we asked Dreeke what happens when they put a name to the face under that ski mask. Does the investigation end with the man on the porch — or does it follow the trail to whoever actually planned what happened to Nancy Guthrie?#NancyGuthrie #RobinDreeke #HiddenKillers #WhoGaveTheChecklist #FBIExpert #TucsonKidnapping #NestCamera #CatalinaFoothills #SurveillanceVideo #TrueCrimeJoin Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Part 2 of the 2026 essential checklist shows first time homebuyers how to research neighborhoods, tour homes strategically, and protect themselves while shopping in today's weird housing market. This episode jumps from planning into the “fun stuff”: a practical checklist for researching neighborhoods and shopping for homes like a pro instead of a scrolling-Zillow zombie. You'll learn how to use tools like Google Maps, Street View, WalkScore, crime maps, school ratings, zoning plans, and even old-school paper maps to understand a community before you ever step inside a house. David then walks through smart touring strategy—bundling showings, ranking your top three, watching for surveillance cameras, checking commute times and internet service, and touring midweek to beat the weekend crowds. Finally, he explains how to avoid traps with open houses and new construction, why list prices are “garbage,” how to spot opportunity in “back on market” and badly photographed listings, and why your realtor's most valuable job is negotiating and protecting you once you've found a home.“I'm going to give you the checklist for home shopping.” - David Sidoni Highlights How can you use online tools and maps to spot the right neighborhoods before you ever book a showing? What should you look for when driving neighborhoods at different times of day to really understand daily life there? How do you protect yourself at open houses and new construction sites so you don't accidentally give up your right to representation or overpay? Why are list prices “garbage,” and how can back-on-market homes, ugly photos, and current market conditions actually work to your advantage? ☎️Schedule a Business Evaluation Call with The Construction Leading Edge Team HERE – If your construction projects feel chaotic before they even start, the problem isn't execution, it's the handoff. In this episode of The Construction Leading Edge Podcast, I explain how a weak preconstruction handoff creates scope gaps, delays, missed details, and profit bleeds long before work begins. He breaks down why many builders rely on "figuring it out later," how urgency addiction keeps owners stuck in firefighting mode, and why starting jobs with incomplete information guarantees chaos in the field. You'll learn how to design a simple, practical preconstruction checklist that locks in decisions early, clarifies scope, and sets your team up for success from day one. I also share how to involve your team in building the process so it actually gets followed, not ignored. If you're a builder, remodeler, or general contractor who wants smoother projects, fewer surprises, and better margins, this episode will show you how to nail the handoff from office to field.
