Meghan Markle & Prince Harry moving back to the UK, Dave Landau joins us in-studio, Penn State cocaine ring, NFL denies Terrion Arnold, Lindsay Clancy supporters, Scopolamine in Medellín, and Hayden Panettiere's boyfriend Brian Hickerson's strange interview. Internationally touring comedian Dave Landau joins us. Podcasts are all the rage at Rock & Brews Royal Oak. Hayden Panettiere and Brian Hickerson were not a very good couple. Her mother is pointing the finger at everyone but herself. Turns out Brian is a Matthew McConaughey impersonator. Penn State fraternities are busted for running a cocaine empire. Actor Timothy Busfield is finished. Darline Graham BOMBS in the South Carolina Senatorial debate. What has Greta Thunberg been doing lately? She taught Drew about flotillas. Race Cases: The trial judge in the Karmelo Anthony murder cased is tossed out and his "fans" are ecstatic. The Nolan Wells case is dragging along. Don Lemon hates Race-bait'em Tatum. The Seattle Seahawks really want Terrion Arnold on their team. Unfortunately his eight felony charges might get in the way. Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson is facing a recall after blowing out the police chief fatal mass shooting at the Bite of Seattle festival. Breaking News: Meghan Markle and Harry are moving back to the UK. Don't let the door kick you in the ass on the way out. We can't wait for their next Netflix production. A Telemundo executive was killed in a helicopter accident. Reminder that Brooks Nader's dad likes her fantastic rack. Polymarket is predicting AOC as the Democratic Presidential Nominee in 2028. Kamala Harris and Gavin Newsom are making a charge as well. Jon Ossoff is the dark horse. Some people are saying, Donald Trump is totally nailing this Natalie Harp broad. A 'TikTok Therapist' was barred from testifying in the Lindsay Clancy trial. Make sure you pay for her parent's retirement right here. Karen Read's fans are now behind Clancy. Fights: A nice brawl broke out at Duggan's Irish Pub during the Woodward Dream Cruise. A fun filled fight was reported at the Chicago Cubs/White Sox ball game. Reminder that people will fight you for filming them. Careful using scopolamine. You'll become a zombie and do ANYHTING. Kratom is not much better. Jared Leto lives in an old military base. He thinks he's Jesus Christ. Thirty Seconds to Mars sucks, btw. Jim's Picks and the Bonerline are back tomorrow. Documentary First

How do you fund a documentary when the whole industry says no?How do you fund a documentary without film funds, grants, or a commissioning broadcaster, and still reach a huge audience? Dutch filmmaker Jonathan de Jong did exactly that with Human Forever, the most-watched human interest documentary in Dutch cinema history. The government pulled his funding two and a half years into production, and he still finished the film, built a movement, and put it in cinemas around the world. In Episode 284 of Documentary First, Christian Taylor sits down with Jonathan de Jong, director of Human Forever and founder of SUPER7EVEN Productions, to talk about how independent filmmakers actually fund, build an audience for, get access for, and produce a documentary that people see.Jonathan's whole approach starts from one idea: build the audience before the film exists. He grew a following through a bestselling book, The Housemates, a touring theater show, and his protagonist, the young nurse Teun Toebes, before the movie ever premiered. He funds outside the traditional market by partnering with mission-aligned organizations, he earns fly-on-the-wall access by investing years of unhurried time, and he made a hard subject impossible to look away from. In his words, “we made dementia sexy.”In this episode, you'll learn:How to fund a documentary without relying on film funds, grants, or a broadcasterHow to build an audience for your film before it is releasedHow to get access to hospitals, care facilities, and other closed institutionsHow to produce a documentary across multiple countriesWhy Jonathan approaches every film as a product, not only a passion projectHow partnering with mission-aligned organizations can both fund and distribute your filmThe “be Switzerland” method for directing a subject to get honest, real reactionsHow to keep a film earning and touring years after its releaseWhy treating a serious subject with warmth beats treating it as only seriousWhat the record-breaking success of Human Forever teaches about impact over viewsCHAPTERS0:00 Breaking In Without Film School5:06 Finding a Story Worth Telling7:24 Build the Audience Before Release12:21 When the Funding Fell Through15:18 You Can't Buy Happiness20:33 What Moldova Taught Him26:47 Making the Camera Invisible30:30 Directing a Neutral Protagonist37:17 How Do You Get Access?42:28 Where Does the Money Come From?47:38 He Made Dementia SexyFrequently Asked QuestionsHow do you fund a documentary without grants or film funds?Partner with mission-aligned organizations. Jonathan de Jong funds his films by teaming with social organizations, foundations, and local and national governments that care about the subject. Each contributes a smaller amount, and together they add up to a full budget. Because those partners also have large audiences, they become the film's first ambassadors, so the same partnership that funds the film also helps get it seen. How do you get access to film inside hospitals or care facilities?Invest time and build trust before the camera rolls. Jonathan spent years present without filming, and left the camera in the room so people grew used to it. Family members had to sign consent, and because his protagonist Teun Toebes was a trusted figure in dementia care, facilities welcomed the crew. Access came from relationships and patience, not from official fixers. How do you build an audience for a documentary before it comes out?Start years early and grow the audience alongside the film. Jonathan built a following through a bestselling book, a touring theater show, and social media, and he turned his protagonist into a recognized voice in the field. By the time Human Forever premiered, the audience and a network of ambassadors already existed, so the film became, in his words, the cherry on top.How do you produce a documentary in multiple countries?Work through the local community, not official fixers. Jonathan connects with people already working in the subject area, who bring in local governments and organizations to arrange permits and logistics. He keeps a small, lean crew that can move fast, and he builds a network of ambassadors in each country. That is how he filmed across eleven countries during a pandemic.DocuView Déjà VuJonathan's documentary pick is Searching for Sugar Man, which he calls one of the best documentaries ever made and a reminder of what the power of storytelling can do.Sponsored by Virgil Films EntertainmentThis episode is brought to you by Virgil Films Entertainment. Callum Smiles joins Hearts of Oak to report from his recent trip to Ceuta, the Spanish enclave on the North African coast, where he was filming with Fox Populi. Fresh from Gibraltar, he describes a migration situation far larger than expected: thousands of arrivals after the major influx on 31 July, with Moroccan migrants concentrated in the south and sub-Saharan migrants in the north. The Spanish-majority enclave effectively saw its population double in a short period. From above it looked attractive; at street level it was chaotic and unstable. Callum details the military response, overcrowding and fights at facilities built for far fewer people, migrants openly stating they wanted Europe's wealth and a better life (encouraged by social media and eager to be filmed), and the wider implications for the EU, Schengen, and the necessity of border control. Callum Smiles is an independent British journalist, formerly with Rebel News UK and now working under Callum Smiles Media while contributing to Vox Populi.. Known as “the unconventional journalist,” he specialises in on-the-ground reporting of mass migration, the World Economic Forum in Davos (where he has confronted figures including Tony Blair, Larry Fink and Greta Thunberg), and related issues across Europe and beyond. Based in the south of England, he self-films and edits his own work. The Week According to ... Callum Smiles Connect with Callum...

At the age of 16, Innes FitzGerald turned down selection for the World Cross Country Championships because they were a long-haul flight away in Australia. The environmental impact of getting on that plane was more important to her than the experience of competing on the international stage. That decision changed her life. Traditional media and social media wanted to know who she was and why she'd made that choice. Innes found herself being compared to the climate activist Greta Thunberg, something she welcomes. We discuss that period in her life, and the factors that went into Innes writing that letter to British Athletics. She also explains how she continues to take trains and busses to as many European competitions as she can, and the factors she had to weigh up before stepping onto a plane to compete at last year's World Championships in Tokyo.Having initially become famous for something she chose not to go to, Innes has since started to win gold at the championships that she has attended. In 2025, the British long-distance runner won the European under-20 titles at 3000m, 5000m and Cross Country. Then, on New Year's Day 2026, she broke the women's UK parkrun record. In terms of the future, Innes explains what her sport's governing bodies can do to make a global sport a greener one.Photo: Julia Ehrle of Germany is overtaken by Innes Fitzgerald of United Kingdom during the U20 women's race at the 2025 SPAR European Cross Country Championships in Lagoa, Portugal. Renay sits down with Leonard E. Robinson — over forty-five years in environmental management, appointee under four California governors, former Acting Director and Chief Deputy Director of California's Department of Toxic Substances Control, Partner and Chief Sustainability Strategist at SEMCO, Sustainability Coordinator for the Catholic Archdiocese of Atlanta, and host of the Faith and Sustainability podcast — for a conversation about what it takes to lead from faith inside institutions that were not built to hear it. This is the second conversation Renay and Leonard recorded for the show. The first was, in Renay's  own words, the conversation any host could have had. So she asked him for another one. What you hear in this episode is a man who stopped trying to fit in a long time ago, walking us through the inner architecture that let him do that — and what it cost, and what it gave him.  This episode is not a sermon. It is not a debate about whether faith belongs in business. It is a working leader — an engineer by training — describing the discipline of following something he cannot prove. And the difference, as he draws it, between faith and resilience: "Resilience is how we react to things. Faith is how we respond to things." Leonard and Renay cover: why language like climate change and faith triggers the same defensive posture, and what to do with that noise instead of around it; the silos we build between profession and belief, and what happens when we stop maintaining them; the difference between confidence and faith for leaders who don't subscribe to a higher authority; Laudato Si' and what it has unlocked inside the Archdiocese of Atlanta; and the leaders Leonard watched cut through — from Greta Thunberg to Charles Lee, the EPA veteran who helped launch the environmental justice movement alongside Dr. Ben Chavis Jr. and whose name most people in this work still don't know. This episode is also a tribute. Leonard passed away after recording. He gave us this conversation. We are honored to share it.

Irish author and analyst Emmet Connor tells host Tom he has focused since 2015 on Marxism/communist indoctrination, defining it as an international revolutionary ideology aimed at destroying existing hierarchies and rebuilding a utopia. He argues “globalism” and the New World Order are communism repackaged, seen in open borders, climate policy, food controls, attacks on farming, education, and cultural issues like DEI and gender ideology, with Christians targeted. He discusses Ireland's pro-globalist politics, COVID as totalitarian economic attack linked to the CCP, and a broader China/Russia-led push for world dominance, including Africa via Belt and Road. Regan and Chesko break down what might be the most sexist article ever written, a New York Post hit piece on Greta Thunberg with a misleading headline implying she's caught up in a Freedom Flotilla sex scandal she has nothing to do with. The article mocks her “short stint” in Israeli prison after being kidnapped, calls her the “Swedish queen of sanctimony,” fixates on her “angry” face, and reduces her entire career to one “how dare you” moment. From there, the conversation widens into the Monica Lewinsky playbook of sacrificing women to protect powerful men, misogyny on the left, and the constant pressure to soften accountability for the sake of coalition-building. FreshEd will return with new episodes next week. While we are away, we thought it would be good to showcase one of our first "non-interview" shows. Although made over 6 years ago, the ideas, themes, and urgency of the climate crisis continue to resonate today. If you're keen to partner with FreshEd to turn your work into a narrative style podcast, please get in touch. -- School students all over the globe have declared a “Climate Emergency.” For some time now, youth have been striking for immediate and effective action to stop global warming and secure the habitability of our planet. Greta Thunberg is perhaps the most recognizable student protesting. You've probably seen her moving speech at the United Nations last month. In the context where students skip school to protest, what role do teachers play? More broadly, what is the role of education in times of climate crisis? One group of university professors and activists have thought deeply about these questions. They have recently launched a “Call to Action” for educators, asking signatories to transform their pedagogies and curricula, realign research agendas, and reformulate policy frameworks – all in line with the climate crisis and other environmental challenges. In short, signatories are asked to voice their concerns any way they can in their professional work in and outside the classroom. Today's show takes you behind the scenes of this Call to Action, connecting the student protests and the climate crisis to the Sustainable Development Goals and Global Learning Metrics. Meghan's guest this week is British journalist and author Brendan O'Neill, chief political writer at Spiked and author of Vibe Shift: The Revolt Against Wokeness, Greenism and Technocracy. Brendan talks about what he sees as a growing "vibe shift" away from elite consensus and toward something like common sense—though not without its own distortions. He and Meghan discuss the UK's role in pushing back on gender ideology (aka "TERF Island"), the uneasy state of free speech on both sides of the Atlantic, and why ordinary people seemed to tolerate cultural excesses until they suddenly didn't. They also touch on the rise of unserious, meme-driven politics, the infantilization of public discourse (with Greta Thunberg as an emblematic if also profoundly dysfunctional figure), and the strange convergence of hectoring moralism on one side and gleeful nihilism on the other. Finally, Brendan reflects on his own journey from revolutionary communist to free speech absolutist, and why he thinks we may be inching slowly back toward a politics grounded less in identity and more in reality. Guest Bio; Brendan O'Neill is the chief political writer at Spiked and host of The Brendan O'Neill Show. He's also the author of several books, including Anti-Woke, A Duty to Offend, A Heretic's Manifesto, and most recently, Vibe Shift: The Revolt Against Wokeness, Greenism and Technocracy.

I went on Fox's Gutfeld with Greg Gutfeld to talk about Ilhan Omar, corruption, and the insanity of modern politics on both sides of the Atlantic. From Somali-led welfare scams and taxpayer billions, to the media's bizarre kid-glove treatment of her, we dug into how identity politics shields obvious wrongdoing. We then got into the California gubernatorial race – Katie Porter's meltdowns on and off camera, Gavin Newsom's catastrophic record on homelessness (and how he still gets a “B” from Democrats), and the wildly different ways left-wing and right-wing outlets spin the exact same story. Media bias, blind spots, and the importance of seeing every side of the narrative were all on the table. From there, we turned to two-tier justice in America and Britain: cops getting multi-year sentences while actual killers and rapists walk with slaps on the wrist, veterans jailed for Facebook posts, and “protected” groups seemingly playing by different rules. We rounded things off with Greta Thunberg's infamous “Hamas flotilla,” alleged sex scandals at sea, the policing of jokes and prayer in the UK, and why in some ways Britain is now even more dystopian than New York.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Our show is independently supported by you, consider signing up to our substack to get added benefits like ad-free and extended episodes here: https://www.winstonmarshall.co.uk/-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Silicon Valley supremo Peter Thiel has quite the CV, including co-founding PayPal, backing Facebook in its early days, links to Tesla, and co-founding Palantir Technologies. Lately, however, the billionaire has turned his attention to more apocalyptic fare as he delivers lectures around the world in which he warns that the Antichrist is among us. Why has Thiel gone down this route? And where do the likes of Greta Thunberg and Bill Gates fit in? On the Saturday Show, Mike brings us an excerpt from his recent appearance on the Uncertain Things podcast with hosts Adaam and Vanessa. They kick things off by exploring Mesopotamian ghost-busting and ancient demons before they discuss how Hollywood actors unwittingly romanticize radical revolutions, why the Starbucks union prioritized sending militant tweets over negotiating higher wages, and Mikes views Greta Thunberg. On The Edge With Andrew Gold
637. Is There A Link Between Autism & Extremism? - Prof. Ed Dutton

Ed Dutton exposes how autistic traits fuel extreme politics on both woke left and "woke right"  Ed Dutton is back on Heretics with Andrew Gold for an unfiltered, explosive interview that connects the dots between autism, neurodivergence, and the rise of radical politics. Discover how autistic traits — obsessive systematizing, poor theory of mind, low cognitive empathy, black-and-white thinking, and intense need for order — create the perfect psychological profile for extreme activists and leaders on both the woke left (think Greta Thunberg-style crusaders) and the emerging "woke right" (purity-spiraling far-right factions obsessed with grievance and dogma). We dive deep into historical and modern examples: Margaret Thatcher's possible autism, Elon Musk's unaccountable power and autistic traits, Churchill's rumored sensitivities, and the dark-triad drive behind anti-woke rebels like Andrew himself. Then comes the real shocker — Dutton's controversial new book on "The Quaker Question," exposing how this tiny, virtue-signaling group has quietly bankrolled and shaped endless left-wing causes for centuries (from anti-slavery to modern anti-colonialism, prison reform, vegetarianism, and even early naked protests). Are Quakers the real hidden hand behind woke ideology? Packed with evolutionary psychology insights, personality trait analysis, and no-holds-barred takes on purity spirals, victimhood culture, grievance hierarchies, and why both extremes attract the same unstable psychology. This is the kind of raw, anti-woke conversation mainstream media would never touch — don't miss it. #AutismPolitics #WokeRight #EdDutton Join the 30k heretics on my mailing list: https://andrewgoldheretics.com  Check out my new documentary channel: https://youtube.com/@andrewgoldinvestigates  Andrew on X: https://twitter.com/andrewgold_ok   Insta: https://www.instagram.com/andrewgold_ok Heretics YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@andrewgoldheretics Chapters: 0:00 Ed Dutton Highlights 0:55 Autism Drives Political Extremes – Left & Right 5:00 Autistic Traits: Low Empathy, High Systematizing, Genius Fuel 12:00 Is Andrew Gold on the SPECTRUM?
