How should a man relate to his wife, and a women relate to her husband? St. Paisios presents us the royal path: why love and respect are really the same thing, and how the husband is the head of his wife but also the "lowest laborer", and how the wife is subject to her husband but also the "noble lady of the household". A reading from _Spiritual Counsels, Vol. 4: Family Life_ by St. Paisios, p. 39-48

If the vibe isn't right, I'd much prefer to take my coffee ALONE. (Message on Spotify or Instagram)... Settling or just okay with time fillers? filling time until what? What do we bring to our inner circle? To our outer circle? What do we individually bring & what are we accepting from others? Are we honest with those around us? Or are we just taking while sitting with the ambivalence of it all. Love you all, as always, thank you for the support May the universe bring you to triumphantly reach what is already yours.

There are few things I find more enjoyable than having a really good conversation with someone who truly understands the magic of creating. That feeling of excitement when you something catches your eye (or your imagination) and you know that is the breadcrumb you need to follow. And of course, then there is the feeling once you have fully birthed your creation and cut the cord to your own soul. This week I had the absolute pleasure of talking to Susan Fauman. We talk about the alchemy of creating a piece of jewelry and how we weave our medicine into our work. We talk about the joy of harmoniously blending our lives with our craft and the importance of building a community of peers around you as our work is often solitary. There's a lot I'm still unpacking from this episode, but it just reinforces why I love having these honest conversations… and I hope you are enjoying them too. Susan Fauman is a mama and maker of many things, working out of her studio in the NY Hudson Valley. She draws inspiration from her 15+ years working as a yoga instructor, bodyworker and herbalist to bring healing intention to her jewelry and other creations. Her mission is to make people feel connected to something bigger than themselves, with a side of playfulness and wonder. A Time Such a ThisAs we look back on history, we observe events that marked a generation, anunprecedented moment, or a significant season. Our four podcasts, called A Time Suchas This, will focus on a period of time in Persia, present day Iran, at the time of QueenEsther, 479 BC. My guest, Ellen Krahn, was a great Bible teacher, counsellor andpersonal friend. Since the recording of these sessions last September 2022, sadly, Ellenlost her battle with cancer on April 18 and now lives forever with the One she sofaithfully served. I am grateful that Ellen's husband, David, has given permission for theairing of the four podcasts on Biblical Esther so that Ellen's legacy of pouring out God'sWord to all she encountered lives on.Session #1- The Mystery of God's ChoosingHave you ever been in a place so profoundly unsettling that all you have is questions? Why has this happened? How can I be delivered? By the time the story of Estherbegins, she has already experienced great loss and also the providence anddeliverance of Almighty God. His name is never mentioned in the text, but God's loveand care for His people, the details He orchestrates are clearly reflected in thisnarrative. The convergence of God's Sovereignty and human will plays harmoniously, yet with much tension, suspense and intrigue. Is there a “time such as this” for all of us?

Say It Skillfully® is a show that helps you to benefit from Molly Tschang's expert guidance on the best possible ways to speak your mind at work in a positive and productive manner. Episode 194 features callers earlier in their professional careers and what's top of mind for them. My first caller, Henry, is right out of college and into his first ever full-time job! He's wondering about approaching superiors and peers, how to bring up new ideas, find ways to shine and add in a meaningful way to the culture. Hear the incredible maturity of someone new to the workforce (and enjoy a hit of optimism for the future of work). Henry also shares tips for how organizations ensure they don't miss out on top talent! Then Robert, who's been working about nine years, opens up about leaving a company when he realized he wasn't perceived or treated the way he wanted to be (after attempting to turn things around). Should he have tried harder to change groups vs. change jobs? Did he leave in the right way? We revisit his experience and talk about what he might have considered and what to take into his new role (26:45). Tune in and hear what's top of mind for early-in-career professionals—learn how to navigate work while being invaluable and true to yourself. Molly's thought for the week: Do or do not. This must-watch satsang is at the very heart of Moojibaba's pointings. By remaining as the detached witness we are able to observe the mind and all its tricks which are appearing on the screen of consciousness. Our work is simply to remain as awareness no matter what appears on the screen. Like this, the mind's power diminishes and peace is experienced effortlessly. "Mind is producing different scenarios all the time. But at the place I speak from, it doesn't matter where you go, on the bus, on the train, on the airplane, on a rock. It doesn't matter. It's still the same. This is why I say, nothing else is really so much my teaching. We are not going to be afraid of the darkness, because when the darkness comes, it only helps to polish our brightness."

One thing many entrepreneurs don't count on is that being an entrepreneur can be anything but freeing in terms of time and focus. Without proper guidance and an elevated mindset, entrepreneurs are prone to leaving other precious parts of life perilously underserved and their lives completely out of balance. To thrive in today's ever-changing, crisis-prone times, entrepreneurs must learn to future-proof themselves and their businesses by elevating their strategy, leadership, and self-care.Working on Purpose is broadcast live Tuesdays at 6PM ET.Working on Purpose TV Show is viewed on Talk 4 TV (www.talk4tv.com).Working on Purpose Radio Show is broadcast on W4CY Radio (www.w4cy.com) part of Talk 4 Radio (www.talk4radio.com) on the Talk 4 Media Network (www.talk4media.com). Interview by Kris PetersJapanese metal outfit Violent Magic Orchestra (VMO) are certainly a unique experience. Harmoniously integrating the genre of black metal music with techno, industrial, and noise in the form of an art-project, VMO can be best summed up as sounding like Black metal meets Kraftwerk.Violent Magic Orchestra combine numerous genres and sub-genres of music united together in a form of live-performances with the contribution from Kezzardrix - a maestro of live-visuals with strobe lights and smoke machines accompanying band's performance. They are a stunning visual band and a captivating live band and will make their way to Tasmania later this month to play at Dark Mofo.HEAVY caught up with one of the members Kei to find out more."Our music is very dark and a little bit happy," he explained. "VMO has many strange members, like Master Of Strange Dance. We have a lot of noise people who make noise and more beat and experimental space. We have a lot of hidden members. I think we are a strange collective who work a lot of other things. After releasing Death Rave I want to show who joined VMO." VMO will be releasing their new album Death Rave later this year, and we ask Kei if it will be what fans expect."We hope Death Rave... In our opinion Death Rave is huger music. Our concept is 2099, the end of the world. Now we live in 2023 and our music is a little bit experimental, but in 2099 our music is like pop music," he offered. "We connect future pop music and nowadays experimental music. We want to make the road to the future now using dance and mosh pit sounds."In the full interview Kei talks about playing at Dark Mofo, what to expect from a VMO show, their recent single Venom, new single Supergaze, a brief history of the band, the blending of sounds and where it comes from, more on Death Rave and more.
Today's episode of Blended is all about positive co-parenting and the process of blending two families with the hilarious Rickie Haywood Williams and Natalie Harman. You may know Rickie from TV and Radio, he currently presents a Radio 1 show alongside Melvin Odoom and Charlie Hedges, but chances are you haven't heard of his partner Natalie who remains out of the spotlight, this was her first time doing a podcast but you'd never know!Rickie and Natalie met three years ago and after a successful period of dating they decided to combine their families. Both Rickie and Natalie have daughters of a similar age from previous relationships, and the four of them have Blended in the last couple of years. Last August Rickie and Natalie added to their family and had baby Cruz, their first child together.Rickie and Natalie discuss all the topics that so often come up in parenting: How to navigate discipline and how to make sure you carve out time with your partner. They also give some great advice on maturity to make co-parenting a harmonious process. This episode is full of laughs, it's a really heartwarming story that shows Blended families can bring so much joy!If you're excited to be a part of the Blended community, make sure to follow @Blended on Instagram.
I struggle with not knowing how to combine clothes harmoniously and interestingly And I thought - you're not the only one - and it's because knowing your body shape doesn't tell you how to do this (and that's what most people think they need to know to become stylish). Instead, there is so much more to this question and struggle to unpack.
How can we be filled with joy during all the repetitions, compromises and complications of day to day life? Do we have to give up “normal” life to pursue a spiritual path or is there a way to live life with all its trials, tribulations, ups and downs and simultaneously progress on the spiritual path? This is the crux of spiritual life. It is not about simply doing our meditations, breathwork, prayer, and feeling Divine states during them, but it is about unravelling the divine states in everything we do – washing up, doing accounts in an office, walking the dog, cleaning the toilet. In literally everything. This is the true path of spiritual evolution and is full of pitfalls, diversions, and confusions. This podcast shines a light on this complex path, which Advaitananda Stoian lives and breathes every moment of every day. Advaitananda is both a scientist and advanced spiritual practitioner who has been teaching and practicing Tantra, Yoga and Meditation for the last thirty years. He skilfully combines current scientific discoveries with esoteric work, giving practical solutions for the modern-day person. Feeling depleted from a long to-do list, holiday gatherings, work deadlines and/or financial stress? Give yourself this time to check in and nourish yourself. This meditation explores how we can dinf harmony in giving and received. While giving is so important and fulfilling if we don't counterbalance that with receiving, we can find ourselves burnt out and depleted. Although this practice is inspired by the holidays, this meditation is great to do all year round. Enjoying The Morning Ritual? Please rate, review, and/or share! Interested in trying betterhelp? Join the gents for an early morning chat at Phil's restaurant. They get sincerely braggadocious and explore the intricacies of pride, and humility. Why is it so hard to brag on command? Why is it so easy to do it unintentionally? Is bragging healthy? And most importantly, which gent brags the most? Honestly, let them know what you think about that last one!
It can feel SUPER stressful to try to "fit it all in" as a Catholic mom... You're trying to cook healthy meals for your family, keep up with your own workout routine, as well as try to establish a great spiritual foundation with your kids- in addition to balancing your own prayer life. It's a lot, it really is... But the cool thing is, our faith works very HARMONIOUSLY with these other aspects of our lives. The more we lean into the beauty and practices of our faith, oftentimes (my entire position in this episode) we become more physically healthy as a side effect. Looking forward to discussing this with all of you!____________________________________________________________________________________Check out my pre & postnatal programs here:https://fitmomlifetothefullest.com/programs/Schedule a 30 minute coaching call with me here:https://fitmomlifetothefullest.com/contact/Sign up for my 8 week beginner challenge or work with me one-on-one here:https://fitmomlifetothefullest.com/group-and-personal-training-menu-2021/Get a free two week trial of my monthly workout group- Chasing Greatness here:https://fit-mom-life-to-the-fullest.teachable.com/p/chasing-greatness____________________________________________________________________________________For recipes, workouts, and tips- follow me on:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/fitmomlifetothefullest/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/fitmomlifetothefullestEmail: fitmomlifetothefullest@gmail.com

Japan is filled with concepts that people can relate to; they have the themes of ikigai, kintsugi, ichigo ichie, and wabi-sabi, which people can apply to their daily lives, and that can contribute to their well-being. Interestingly, they have this notion that can be considered the core of all these beautiful concepts, the idea of nagomi (harmony). What is nagomi? In this episode of The Ikigai Podcast, Nick speaks with Ken Mogi about Ken's recently released book, which focuses on the concept of nagomi, the Japanese way of living harmoniously.

Reminders of taking time to be present
On Tuesday, February 4, 2020, Rumi Forum and its’ key partners, George Washington University Interfaith Council, United Nations Association-National Capital Area, and Twelve Gates Foundation, celebrated the UN World Interfaith Harmony Week with a panel discussion about “Living Harmoniously in an Interfaith World: A Muslim Contribution”. A world of interfaith harmony will not be achieved by religious organizations agreeing on theology. Each faith tradition has its own unique teachings and traditions, and each individual is unique in their own personal understanding of the truth. A durable peace among the diverse peoples of the world will be achieved when individuals become mature in their faith and learn to embrace those from other traditions as fellows of the human family. The purpose of this program, then, was to raise awareness of the theological and spiritual resources that empower a life of faith in harmony with a world of diverse beliefs and practices and to encourage the development and dissemination of these resources within each faith tradition as a way to elevate the minds, hearts, and actions of people everywhere. In this program, we invited a Muslim scholar, Dr. Y. Alp Aslandogan, to present the basis for his faith`s contribution to the creation of a peaceful world of interfaith harmony. Speaker: Dr. Y. Alp Aslandogan is the Executive Director of the Alliance for Shared Values. Prior to his current position, Dr. Aslandogan served as the board president of the Institute of Interfaith Dialog in Houston, Texas. In that role, he oversaw the organization of academic as well as grassroots activities of the Institute around topics such as shared values of humanity, social cognition and conflicts, the art of living together, foundations and methodology of interfaith and intercultural dialogue, and the role of faithful citizens in a democracy. He recently co-authored a book entitled “The Messenger: Prophet Muhammad and His Life of Compassion” and co-edited a book entitled “Muslim Citizens of the Globalized World”. Dr. Aslandogan is an author and an editor of the Fountain magazine, and a board member of the Journal of Interreligious Dialogue. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago and served as a faculty member at the University of Texas at Arlington, and Prairie View A&M University.

Romans 12:9–21 NASB95PARA 9 Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good. 10 Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor; 11 not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; 12 rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer, 13 contributing to the needs of the saints, practicing hospitality. 14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. 16 Be of the same mind toward one another; do not be haughty in mind, but associate with the lowly. Do not be wise in your own estimation. 17 Never pay back evil for evil to anyone. Respect what is right in the sight of all men. 18 If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men. 19 Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. 20 “But if your enemy is hungry, feed him, and if he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.” 21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. The theme of Romans 12:9-21: Love sincerely. 1. By being an AFFECTIONATE member of the FAMILY of God. 2. By ESTEEMING other believers HIGHER than yourself. Philippians 2:3 ESV 3 Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. 3. By PROACTIVELY meeting the NEEDS of other believers. 4. By living SYMPATHETICALLY and HARMONIOUSLY. This isn’t unrealistic, pie in the sky dreams. Churches can love and do life like this! Acts 4:32 NASB95 32 And the congregation of those who believed were of one heart and soul; and not one of them claimed that anything belonging to him was his own, but all things were common property to them. Love your ENEMIES sincerely. 1. By praying for God to FAVOR (i.e. bless) them. Luke 6:27–28 NASB95 27 “But I say to you who hear, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. 2. By refusing to RETALIATE. 3. By leaving VENGEANCE to God. 4. By returning evil with acts of kindness so that they may be ASHAMED of their deeds and ultimately God will be GLORIFIED. Whether it’s loving other believers sincerely or loving enemies sincerely, the critical ingredient is INTENTIONALLY. Since we are already more than conquerors in Christ (8:37), the question is do we want to do what TRUE conquerors do: OVERCOME evil with good? Exhortation: Stay on FIRE for God, JOYFULLY and patiently enduring the trials of this world, by fixing your HOPE on the return of Jesus and the world to come. (Rom 12:11-12) Then you can live like who you already are: more than a conqueror!
Ephesians 2:20-22 — What is the most important part of a building? Some may think the walls or the floor, but it is always the foundation. In the Church, it is no different. Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones in his series on Ephesians, continues to mine 2:20-22 for a further understanding of the nature of the church, and the application that truth has for the Christian. Previously, Dr. Lloyd-Jones expounded on the importance of the foundation (apostles, prophets, and Christ being the cornerstone), but he turns to the stones being placed on the foundation—the church. First, each stone must be “truly and rightly related to that foundation,” and to each other. Each stone (or church member) is different, but is still inseparably tied to the rest of the building. Also, each stone must be connected to the foundation. However, who is building this temple? Ultimately God is the builder, but as Dr. Lloyd-Jones notes, God uses pastors (1 Cor 3:10-15). Here, Lloyd-Jones issues a warning for pastors—be careful what you build the church with. Ploys can be used to build big churches, but only those who have a “vital union” with the foundation—Jesus—will last. God is building his church to be “Harmoniously fitted together” with true believers of every type of person.
