In this inspiring episode of the Reborn Podcast, we sit down with Cass Duff—CEO of Reillys, proud mum of three, and a true leader both in business and in life. Cass shares the story of how the tragic loss of her best friend, an Ironwoman, became a defining moment that completely shifted her outlook. It pushed her to prioritise her own health and well-being, stepping into the gym for the first time and committing to living life with purpose and gratitude. She also opens up about her powerful mindset: seeing the busy moments of life not as burdens, but as privileges. Whether it's running a business, leading a team, raising a family, or managing the chaos of everyday life, Cass views it all through the lens of gratitude—recognising how lucky she is to have these opportunities. This conversation is a raw and uplifting reminder that life is fragile, but full of gifts—and that choosing to see the positive can change everything.

The Orlando Pride needed to have some things go their way to get into the postseason but could only control one of those things — getting a home result against the goal-stingy Houston Dash. The Pride did their part, despite leaving it late, beating Houston 1-0 on Decision Day to put themselves in the right position. Unfortunately, results around the league went awry on multiple fronts and the 2023 Orlando Pride season is over. At least the team went out with a win. We looked back at the Pride's final match of 2023 and checked our score predictions to see how we did. We also made our selections for Player of the Match and we were unanimous to close out the year. Beyond that, we gave our thoughts on the job Seb Hines and his outstanding staff did throughout the 2023 campaign. This week's mailbagbox asked us about Emily Madril's Iron Woman bid, which players the club may protect in the NWSL Expansion Draft, and more. There's also way more talk about lazy rivers than I expected. Remember, you can ask us anything by hitting us up on Twitter at either @TheManeLand or @SkoPurpSoccer and using the hashtag #AskSkoPurp. Or you can visit our show page, scroll down, and fill out the handy form. Finally, we looked back at the Pride's season game by game, hitting the lowlights and highlights at how Orlando ended up at 10-11-1 and missing the postseason by only the slimmest of margins, despite taking their pound of flesh from all of the league's contenders along the way. Here's how Episode 28 went down: 0:15 – The Pride did their job and got the win they needed, even if other results prevented it from being a truly special day in club history. 23:46 – Our mailbagbox asks us some solid questions. We love solid questions (and we love the mailbagbox!). 46:56 - A walk through the ups and downs of the Pride's 2023 season and so many of the "what if?" moments that prevented a playoff appearance.

What can you expect regarding AI technology and the sales industry? Is it going to replace sales representatives? How can you coach your sales reps with the use of AI? In this episode of The Sales Evangelist Podcast, host Donald Kelly speaks with John Barrow on the future of AI and the sales industry. Discover how leaders can leverage AI tools within the sales profession. John Barrows Background John Barrow owns the JB sales company, offering sales training to tech companies. He started his career when the internet was still in its fancy and saw the changes it made within the sales industry during this time. Now, he is seeing the industry change once again due to the development of artificial intelligence tools, such as Chat GPT. John knows with the changes made by AI technology, the sales industry will have to evolve with the tools to be successful. Teaching People to Be Robots Learning the sales process is becoming more difficult because leaders teach representatives how to use AI tools rather than the fundamentals. The sales reps have nothing to fall back on and are getting replaced by robots. Currently, he is working with AI tools for learning language models. It's helping him gather a large pool of data and use only the information he approves in the LLM system. The AI tools help cut back research time for him and his team. John believes using AI technology will help coach sales reps more effectively. If a person cannot receive coaching from their boss, they can rely on the coaching from an AI tool. The Problem With Coaching in the Sales Industry While listening to a 45-minute sales call with a representative, it can be challenging for a coach to pull out every context of the call during a conversation. AI can transcribe the call and allow a coach to pinpoint a specific point where a sales rep needs improvement. Another area for improvement with LLM is teaching the sales reps how to sell a product correctly. Using an AI bot can help coach sales reps to sell products. John provides an example of using Salesforce and coaching sales reps. Do You Want to Be a Part of the Solution? AI is an evolution, like the Industrial Revolution, where companies need to think about how to use humans to operate AI. Learn how to leverage AI tools to stay afloat within the industry. Sales reps need to meet the customers where they are in support needs and educate them on how to use products. It will require sales reps to go further than full-cycle sales and know the product well. What Should Sales Leaders Do Right Now? John recommends that sales leaders turn their sales order into a sales lab, identify a component of the sales process, and do a sales hackathon. Listen to the podcast on how a sales leader can do this with the help of AI technology. Understand the importance of using AI within the sales industry. It increases employee satisfaction and engagement and reduces tech stack and spending. There will be a rebirth of everything in two to five years, and it could go really good or bad. John provides insight into using AI technology within the sales industry. Subscribe to the Sales Evangelist podcast and listen to how to use AI tools to help coach your team of sales representatives. “And I think what happened with Chad GPT and those tools that came out earlier this year is a fundamental shift. We are at Pandora's box right now. And it got opened, and we're not going back.” - John Barrows Resources www.jbarrows.com John Barrows LinkedIn John Barrows Instagram JB Make It Happen Mondays Podcast Sponsorship Offer This episode is brought to you in part by Hubspot. After Haley's race in Coeur D'Alene, Idaho this past weekend, she got the chance to record in person with fellow IronWoman, Sharon McNary, who competed in the 65-69 age group. Sharon told us all about her race experience including the 18 hour road trip from LA with her coach. She also tells us about her past races in CDA, and why she chose to come back to this course for her 15th full Ironman. Haley also talks all about her race on this episode, and how she managed to dig herself out of a dark place mid-run, and rally for a 2nd place finish, securing her Kona slot! As well, our editor, Lydia Russell, joined us for the recording as she was in town to spectate. She shared her perspective on the race as a short course athlete watching an Ironman for the first time, and her hopes to compete at this distance in the future.Follow us on Instagram:@feistytriathlon Feisty Media Website:https://livefeisty.com/ Support Our Partners: Use code FEISTYVJ for $20 off a pair of shoes at https://vjshoesusa.com/feisty InsideTracker: Get 20% off at insidetracker.com/feisty Orca: Use code IRONWOMEN15 for 15% off at www.orca.com/ The Amino Co: Shop Feisty's Favorite 100% Science-Backed Amino Acid Supplements.
