Welcome back to Jon and JB from Yours, Mine and Theirs as we channel the 1987 McDonald's classic the McDLT and keep the hot side hot and the cool side cool. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vVcVXTeHTLI Welcome to the hot side. We argue about whether this is a good movie or not. Also, is this the first instance of side nipple in Bond? Why Andy likes this-- the darkness and the critique of the military-industrial complex. Brooke likes it too because it sets us up for more serious Bond movies later. But it feels like a made for tv movie. Drinking the sand. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HKTqS4bXugg Everybody wants to watch Andy's version of this movie, but this is not good. Reboots and why Daniel Craig's hard reboot worked. Could Brosnan have fixed this? Bad side characters, weak villains. Techno Bond, the theme song. Andy's dog wants Roger Moore back. Forgettable credits. Blowing the nipple budget. The Ferris Wheel is kinda rapey. Box office The Poseidon theory. . .? How tall are the Bonds? Studio notes! The cello. . . car skis! Should we have an R-rated Bond? Andy sings Bjork for some reason. (It was because of the "ghetto blaster.") Andy's mind-canon on Roger Moore and Moneypenny. JB still really hates this movie. Leave us a message on Anchor about how you feel about the episode, but it can only be 1 minute long! Andy's Story In his own words: I am a natural healing consultant, inventor, public speaker, forensic psychiatrist, and expert witness. I completed my psychiatric training at Duke University Medical Center after graduating from the Medical University of South Carolina, and I have a B.S. from M.I.T. in Molecular Biology. I have conducted and published original research and lectured, supervised, and mentored medical students, residents, and fellows in all psychiatric specialties. I have been qualified as an expert witness in local, state, and federal courts. I have held leadership positions in academic medicine and professional organizations. I ran a start-up company to develop a medical device I invented and patented. You'll Learn: I've not heard Andy give an interview quite like this one - and for that reason I'm excited to share it with you. We packed a LOT into this 80 minutes. You will learn: * What Andy experienced going through medical school - and the toxic pressure and strain med students are systemically put under just to survive, * Why med students graduate as doctors with no real information about vaccination, * How and why the medical education system does not allow students to develop critical thinking abilities, * Why Andy is risking his career and reputation to speak up now, * Why covid-19 has not really been truly identified or definitively sequenced, * The inability of virologists to truly purify and isolate a virus for identification, * Why exosomes are so important regarding the current plandemic, * Limitations of germ theory and why viruses are not "bad guys" out to get us, * How the "Elite" are using covid-19(84) as a means to install their technocracy and eliminate all human freedom, * How this historical time right now offers us a choice to choose between freedom and tyranny; fear and growth/evolution... ...and much, much more. This has to be one of the best, most important interviews I've ever been involved with (either as host or guest). Please subscribe, drop a review, and share this information widely. Thanks in advance for supporting the nascent emergence of deep human self-awareness - and the peace, truth, and beauty this will bring. Special Guest: Dr. Andrew Kaufman.

Andy Galpin, PhD, is a tenured Professor at the Center for Sport Performance at California State University, Fullerton. Galpin received an undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from Linfield College, a Master’s Degree in Human Movement Sciences from the University of Memphis, and a PhD in Human Bioenergetics from Ball State University. That will tell you he’s a smart guy, but Andy also understands the real world of training and nutrition and consults some of the world’s top athletes to elite performance levels. There are many reasons why I love the guy: he’s a great human, he loves strength and conditioning, he’s from Washington State and he loves hip-hop; which pretty much seals the deal for me. Andy’s also the co-author of the best-selling book, “Unplugged: Evolve From Technology To Upgrade Your Fitness, Performance, and Consciousness” and has been featured just about everywhere including on the Joe Rogan Podcast. In this episode we dive into the principles of training and nutrition that are based on science but also work in the real world, how to spot B.S. and fake guru’s, and many insights on how to become a great coach in the real world and gets results with your clients. Let's go. Real estate investors have a tendency to look down on paper assets, arguing that the stock market is an ill-advised place to keep your money. We talk about the volatility of stocks and avoid paper assets like the plague, assuming that there is no way to mitigate the associated risk. But what if investing in the stock market is not so different after all? What if we could apply real estate investing strategies to stocks and generate additional cashflow? What if we could leverage paper assets to complement a multifamily portfolio and even hedge against a decline in the real estate market? Andy Tanner is the founder of The Cash Flow Academy, a platform designed to empower and inspire investors and entrepreneurs to generate their own income. An expert in the realm of paper assets, Andy has served as a Rich Dad Advisor for the last 11 years, and he is passionate about teaching in a way that is fun, simple and real. He is also the author of two must-have books, Stock Market Cash Flow and 401(k)aos. Today, Andy joins me to share the parallels between real estate investing and the stock market, explaining how to achieve cashflow in stocks via puts and calls. He discusses the best way to manage risk as an investor on the exchange and describes how the rich are able to ‘predict the future’ and make decisions that make money. Andy also offers his predictions for the short- and long-term future of the stock market and walks us through the benefits of investing in buy-and-hold real estate. Listen in for Andy’s insight on leveraging paper assets to hedge against a decline in the real estate market and learn to apply multifamily investing strategies to stocks and generate even more passive income! Key Takeaways Why real estate investors should appreciate paper assets ‘It’s not the asset class, it’s whether you’re educated’ Take real estate approach and apply to stock market The parallels between the stock market and real estate Fundamental analysis (cap rate = P/E ratio) Look for undervalued property or stock How to achieve cashflow through the stock market Get paid to promise to buy if price declines (puts/calls) The best way to manage risk in the stock market Purchase contracts (insurance) that lock in ability to sell high How to hedge against a decline in the real estate market Buy puts on IYR (real estate fund) for pennies on dollar How the rich go about predicting the future Policy + demographics (i.e.: Medicare + baby boomers) Pay attention to balance sheet and identify trends Andy’s predictions around the future of the stock market Okay for little while longer but Fed ‘out of bullets’ Pay more for stock than ever before from earnings standpoint Why Andy recommends investing in real estate 100% chance value of US dollar will continue to decline Borrow, trade, trade back + return to short USD Make money with natural inflation as rents go up The multiple profit centers available in real estate Cashflow and tax advantages Appreciation of property + rent (via inflation) Principle paid down, refi for stronger short position Connect with Andy The Cashflow Academy Resources Stock Market Cash Flow: Four Pillars of Investing for Thriving in Today’s Markets by Andy Tanner 401(k)aos by Andy Tanner 401(k)aos Free Download Warren Buffet on Kraft Heinz US Real Estate ETF (IYR) S&P/Case-Shiller Price Index Cash Covered Puts on YouTube Michael’s Mentoring Program Deal Maker Live Invest with Michael Financial Freedom with Real Estate Investing: The Blueprint to Quitting Your Job with Real Estate—Even Without Experience or Cash by Michael Blank Podcast Show Notes Review the Podcast on iTunes Michael’s Website Michael on Facebook Apartment Investor Network Facebook Group Michael on Instagram

Dr. Andy Bruening, Director of Bridge Programs at PAST Foundation, and Tyler Hertenstein, Design Pathway Instructor and Technology Teacher at Metro Early College High School, join us to unbox the role of robotics, design thinking, and engineering in education today. Both Andy and Tyler have seen first-hand the success of integrating robotics into the classroom and after-school clubs, and what happens when you get really creative with these hands-on opportunities to learn. We unbox: Starting and overseeing the Metrobots, Metro's First Robotics Competition Team Why schools should invest in robotics teams The difference between being mentor-led and mentor-guided (and why the Metrobots is student-led) Why Andy and Tyler view their primary role as coaching soft skills, rather than engineering The PAST Foundation’s Center of Robotics Innovation (CORI) The time and effort that goes into a robotics team, and why it’s not “just for the nerds” Robotics competition is “the sport of the minds” Tyler’s college robotics football team would get “smoked” by anything his kids are currently coming up with Changing the dynamic of who’s participating in robotics How teachers and students who have an interest in robotics can spearhead programs like these in their own schools Why these programs needs good mentors that stick around, and those mentors don’t need to be engineers Resources: Check out the Metrobots in action: https://www.3324metrobots.org/ Learn more about PAST’s Bridge Programs: https://www.pastfoundation.org/bridge-programs Start A FIRST Robotics Team: https://www.pastfoundation.org/start-a-first-robotics-team Learn more about Metro: https://www.themetroschool.org/ Connect with Andy on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/andy-bruening-6925049b/ Connect with Tyler on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/tyler-hertenstein/ Learning Unboxed is produced in part by Crate Media Recorded by Eric French at (http://wosu.org/) in Columbus, Ohio
Neither Andy Heller nor his real estate partner Scott Frank, ever intended to become full-time real estate investors. However, in their approximately 40 years of combined real estate investing, they have developed a long term real estate investing strategy that has allowed them to make loads of money while minimizing their time, effort and headaches. On a part-time basis, while involved in successful non-real estate careers and putting their families first, Scott and Andy have bought, rented and sold approximately 100 homes. Additionally, in many years, they have made more money in their 2-5 hour a week “side real estate investing job” than in their 40+ hour per weekday job. Over the years, Andy and Scott learned a lot. They eventually developed the “Buy Low, Rent Smart, Sell High” program, which is a grounded and realistic wealth generating method. You can use it to buy one home or dozens. Andy and Scott are living proof that it can be done, and it does not take a lot of money or a lot of time….just the desire to make it happen. In 2005, FORTUNE MAGAZINE recognized the “Buy Low, Rent Smart, Sell High” program among the top five real estate wealth building strategies. After the Fortune recognition, requests came in for Andy and Scott to speak and teach others what they have learned during their real estate investing career. Shortly thereafter Andy and Scott formed their educational company called “Regular Riches”. Andy and Scott selected the name “Regular Riches” to show that “regular guys” and “regular gals” just like them can achieve real estate riches. Andy was born in Canada, raised in Florida, has lived for many years in Georgia and California, and has studied real estate markets throughout North America. He has helped countless people in their efforts to realize their dreams, and he is ready to share his knowledge to simply and easily put you on the road to financial freedom. What you’ll learn about in this episode: Why Andy calls himself an “accidental investor”, and how he has structured his business model Why they key to Andy’s REO (real estate owned) model lies in timing and in tracking pre-foreclosures as early as possible Why Andy sticks exclusively to post-foreclosure, and why he prefers to deal with the banks directly What Andy does with the REO properties once he has successfully purchased them, and why he likes lease options Which circumstances cause Andy to wholesale a property rather than deciding to lease it Why buying foreclosure properties from banks can help you develop a working relationship with them Why buying from banks should be considered an integral part of any wholesaling business How to get an exceptional deal on Andy’s three-part course, normally selling for almost $2000 Why there is certain to be another recession in the future, and why preparation will help you survive it Why you need to have a business model ready now, so that when the market inevitably softens you’re in a good position Resources: REInvestorSummit.com/RegularRiches REInvestorSummit.com/Livecomm REInvestorSummit.com/Machine REInvestorSummit.com/aof REInvestorSummit.com/coaching

Today's guest, joining us today on the Join Up Dots podcast interview, is a chap from the UK, founder of the ‘Hero Forge' project and is the author of a book by the same name. He delivers talks, workshops and training for how we can develop the virtues and attributes needed to become everyday heroes, and he does his best to walk his talk! But that is just the starting point and the dots have joined up in a very eclectic manner for sure. As he says "I ran away from a decent career in advertising in my 20s to join a circus in Malaysia. Performed as a trapeze artist, dancer and clown. Almost drowned during a failed underwater escape attempt! Survived a minor plane crash on my return to the UK. I have lectured to the magic circle and once got into a heated argument with Uri Geller - we made our peace and he bent a teaspoon as a gift which I still have in my kitchen! I have taught in UK schools (as an English teacher and pastoral leader) for almost 25 years while also working as a nightclub doorman in the evenings (quit the doors once I became a dad 6 years ago). I raised £3k last year to support provision of safe water in the 3rd world, by performing as many burpees as possible in 6 hours and then leading almost 100 11-18 year olds barefoot across hot coals! (Managed 1240 burpees - hampered somewhat by a dislocated finger - no kids were burned!). Lots of dots for sure, all linked to his desire to take action and make things happen. So can he spot an everyday hero before they ever do anything heroic? Are there traits that establish that a hero is being made in front of you? And with all these different things occurring does he get exhausted by the effort, or stimulated by the variety? Well let's find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only Mr. Andy Fisher. Show Highlights Andy discusses the reasons why so many people are rooted to the spot when seeing an issue or situation unable to jump in and help. We talk about why the world has given us so much opportunity to change our lives, but so many are unwilling to give it ago. Why Andy loves getting feedback from listeners and gains a lot from the understanding he gains from their insights. And lastly........ Andy shares a deeply personal reason he considers himself a hero, and ill be honest i agree with him wholeheartedly he is!

Andy Pope: There we go, we’ll see the difference then but… Richard Tubb: We’ve had good audiences of MSPs, aspiring MSPs, and IT companies talking to us. Tell us a little bit more about your background within the MSP industry and what led you to being the MD of Consort Group. Andy Pope: Well, I came from a retail background. I put back in at the beginning just to say that I kind of am able to speak to people and understand what customers want. More so than from a techie background. So I came in to IT from that way. And I’ve actually been the MD of an MSP, as they are now for the last 15 years. I’ve recently left them and that’s something I’ve done by myself, and left them to do their thing with their owner which is great. And during that process we went from—if you like a classical, I don’t call it “great fix,” I call it “Sweeney Support.” Richard Tubb: Ok, tell me more. Andy Pope: Well, Sweeney, the car door’s open, the engine’s running outside the office, as soon as the phone rings it’s down, “Go! Go! Go!” Everyone slides across the bonnet, gets in the car and off they shoot to remove a newspaper from a keyboard. That’s actually a true story. One of my first days there suddenly the phone rang, “Oh, there’s a strange noise coming from my PC.” They we’re based in New Market which is about a 45 – 50 minute journey for someone to go up there and literally take a newspaper off the keyboard to make the funny noise go. So there we go, that was the challenge but yeah, we successfully moved them from Sweeney Support to— Richard Tubb: And I was going to say, for any of our American listeners who’s watching you and not familiar with Sweeney, I’ll put it in the show notes, you’re in for a treat. Andy Pope: Yeah. Richard Tubb: Sorry, Andy, continue. Andy Pope: So yes, we managed to do the right thing and moved them from Sweeney to Managed Services. And during that process we’ve come across—there’s been a lot of changes in the IT industry since then. I think the first PCs that we were putting in were either clone build-yourself PCs valued at roughly ₤1,500 - ₤1,200, now ₤250. And the margin’s gone from that completely. Software again has changed an awful lot. We’ve gone through lots of changes and now Cloud is here.
