CRT and DEI are at the root of anti-White and anti-Semite beliefs in the West

Today's show focuses a lot on how the ideology of Critical Race Theory (“CRT”) and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion (“DEI”) leads to bitter hatred and divisiveness between those perceived as the oppressed and those perceived as oppressors. There is nothing inclusive about that. First, I do open with a comment about lending institutions and how they go about assessing the value of collateral when applying for a loan. It's amazing to think AG Letitia James in NYC can convince enough people that banks take the word of the owner of that collateral and refuse to do their own due diligence. CRT and DEI have been growing forces in our country since the Obama regime and has gone ludicrous speed with Biden. President Biden himself used many speeches to convince us that white supremacy is the greatest threat to our nation. The reality is the exact opposite. I use that as the basis for talking about three of the potentially leaked pages of the Nashville mass-shooters manifesto. She (confused to believe she is a he) had a deep hatred of white people and their privilege. Because she was groomed into thinking she is trans, she automatically believed she was in the oppressed category. Being oppressed, she saw herself now as empowered to eliminate the oppressors and she would suffer no consequences. THIS is the damage of CRT and DEI on those suffering from mental health issues. Now onto some very bad polls from over the weekend. Joe Bide is flailing in nearly every measure and the Legacy/mainstream media is freaking out, as are many Democrat leaders. From George Stephanopoulos to Julie Pace to Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-MO) and even David Axelrod, former Senior Advisor to President Obama all see the writing on the wall for Joe Biden. Some tried to put a positive spin, but it is all falling flat. President Biden is also suffering from attacks coming from the Hamas Squad wing of his party. They don't like him publicly supporting Israel. The anti-Semites in Congress see this as further indication that Joe Biden should not run in 2024. Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-VT) is also part of the Hamas Squad, but somehow manage to beclown himself with CNN's Dana Bash during the show State of the Union. First, he could not answer how Hamas wouldn't just horde any aid sent to the people of Gaza. Then, when pressed about innocent civilians being killed by Israel, Bash asked how can Israel avoid that when Hamas uses their own people as human shields? The Ant-Eater (a la the Pink Panther cartoon) had to admit that he is not a military expert. The FBI announced the had to move in to arrest a Jordanian militant in our country for plans to carry out a terrorist attack on a Jewish celebration. Michigan State Senator Jeremy Moss (D-MI) went off on Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) when she tried to sell the notion that the phrase, “From the river to the sea,” is one of peace and compassion and inclusiveness. Victor Davis Hanson summarizes all of the hate and vitriol as coming from one overall mindset – anti-Semitism. On a more positive note, a new Rasmussen poll found 65% of voters now suspect undercover government agents helped to provoke the January 6 riots. Yet another recording of Ray Epps demanding everyone must go “into the Capitol”, revealing what now seems to be scripted language. Election fraud cases have now broken out in two more Democrat-run state to go with the story from last week of a third instance in Connecticut. Finally, President Zelenskyy said he welcomes Trump to come to Ukraine, but does not think the war can end in 24 hours. I use Zelenskyy's own words to show just how easily Trump could make that deal happen in 24 hours. Take a moment to rate and review the show and then share the episode on social media. Today's show hits several subjects that have all been happening at the same time. I cannot emphasize how important it is for us to understand that failures in government is what led to the tragedy in Hawaii. It cannot be stressed enough that Wokism, DEI policies, incompetence and the Green movement are at the root of the disaster, not climate change. I am so tired of failed politicians and failed bureaucrats taking no responsibilities for their horrible decision-making and policies. We live in a time where no one ever seems to accept responsibility for their actions. They all want to blame something else to absolve them of their own stupidity. Mayor Richard Bissen was asked, point blank, if he had any numbers for missing children? He wanted to pretend as if he didn't know anything. When pressed by an independent citizen journalist, he got petulant and acted like a toddler who had been scolded. It's stunning to me to see the failure of elected leadership on such prominent display. Speaking of, Joe Biden finally touched down in Maui and literally had the gall of comparing a small kitchen fire in his high-end Delaware home to what the people of Lahaina are experiencing. What a joke and what a disaster we have for our Commander-in-Chief. He couldn't even speak properly with a prepared speech. Joe Biden is also being scrutinized further for his many pseudonyms. Rep. James Comer (R-KY) discussed the emails and the details and it's amazing how hard the Legacy/mainstream media is fighting to pretend there is nothing to see. The media is more interested in covering the make-believe blame being levied on Donald Trump, rather than to do any real reporting. Sticking to the blame game, we head to Governor Jay Inslee who likened climate change to a giant beast lumbering around the world, setting it on fire. No, governor, it's not a beast, but your own failed policies. The recent fire just outside of Seattle was set by a man named Paris Alcantara. This prolific offender was released last Thursday with no charges filed. Their failure to book and prosecute the arsonist has him already back on the street ready to set another fire. These are eco-terrorists who are setting these fires and Democrats dutifully turn around and blame it on climate-change. The truly make sure no crisis goes to waste. Back to Biden's failed leadership, we have to look at Bidenomics. Over the weekend, while it slipped under a lot of people's radar, a focus group of Democrat people of color was asked about Joe Biden's performance on the economy. CNN's Dana Bash was shocked to hear words like “pathetic”, “pessimistic”, “discouraged” and “the lowest it's been” as the reaction. Terrance Woodbury, CEO and Founding Partner of HIT Strategies said that when the President's approval rating drops by two or three points nationally, it's because it dropped by 10 to 20 points amongst his base. Special Counsel Jack Smith continues showing his hatred of the Bill of Rights by misquoting the 6th Amendment. He argued in a brief filed in court that to push his trial out two and a half years “would deny the public its right to a speedy trial.” That's not how that Amendment works. The speedy trial is for the defendant, not the general public. But, if you are trying this case in the court of public appeal, then I can see how Jack Smith gets it wrong.  The Atlantic just published a piece stating numerous Constitutional scholars believe Donald Trump cannot be allowed to run because of the 14th Amendment. That Amendment, added after the Civil War, states anyone guilty of sedition cannot be in any public office ever again. Thus far, I am unaware of anyone trying to file charges of sedition on Donald Trump. Finally, just a reminder of another press conference given in Michigan after the 2020 election detailing how a “glitch” in the voting software miscounted 6000 Trump ballots as being for Biden. 47 counties in Michigan had machines running the same software. Did anyone check them for glitches? The answer is no. Take a moment to rate and review the show and then share the episode on social media. Biden's attorney Abbe Lowell accused John Paul Mac Isaac, several Trump advisors, and Senator Rob Johnson of unlawfully accessing personal information on Biden's surrendered laptop. Lowell has requested a criminal probe into the dissemination of information from the laptop. According to The Wall Street Journal, the FBI is expected to search the Indiana home of former Vice President Mike Pence. When the Hunter laptop was initially uncovered prior to the 2020 Presidential Election, members of the media, as well as then-candidate Joe Biden repeatedly dismissed the laptop as Russian disinformation. Will anyone be held accountable for their politically motivated dismissal? Despite dismissing the laptop abandoned at a Delaware electronics repair shop as Russian disinformation for over two-years, Hunter Biden now admits it belongs to him—but why? CNN's Dana Bash said she suspects it has something to do with Republicans now controlling the House of Representatives and their vow to investigate Hunter's foreign business dealings. House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) spoke with the National Archives on Tuesday. Rep. Comer claimed the National Archives told him they have no problem with complete transparency regarding President Biden's mishandling of classified documents—leading Comer to conclude the lack of cooperation and openness is due to Merrick Garland's Department of Justice. When asked about the accusations, both White House Council Ian Sams and White House Press Secretary Karin Jean-Pierre refused to provide clarity.

On today's show, I think it is important to go through some of the accomplishments of the Democrat party while under Joe Biden. I know, I can hear you starting to grumble, but we need to be fair in our discussion as we head to the midterms. To lay the foundation, we go to Senator Raphael Warnock of Georgia. A reporter gives him what should be a softball question under Biden's "red hot" economy. The reporter reminds Warnock Democrats have been in control of the House and the Senate for the past two years. In that time, inflation has soared. Why should Georgia voters give him another term? After a long pause, the Senator said we are still in the throes of a pandemic. Maybe he didn't get Joe Biden's memo that the pandemic is over? Well, maybe Cecilia Rouse, White House Economic Advisor, can handle the question better. CNN's Dana Bash asked when the so-called Inflation Reduction Act will start bringing down inflation? Incredibly, Rouse says early next year and then talks about energy tax credits for people who spend money to winterize their homes. So, we won't see any reductions and even then, she shifts to talking about energy tax credits, not inflation. Maybe the third time is the charm. We ask the same question of White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre. She also says it won't happen until next year. So, in this "red hot" economy of President Joe Biden's, nothing is going to happen until (maybe) early 2023. Well, maybe the reason they cannot answer the question is they know the answer isn't good. However, on CBS Mornings, they discussed how two-thirds of Americans believe the economy is getting worse. The majority believe it is the fault of democrat policies and a majority believe Republicans are the only answer to fix the economy. This goes along with the news from Bloomberg today. They released the following headline, "Forecast for US Recession Within Year Hits 100% in Blow to Biden." Oh-oh. That' cannot be good for the White House. Maybe that's why Joe Biden just got caught releasing another 10-15 million barrels of oil from our Strategic Petroleum Reserve. He's trying to buy votes for the midterms through artifcial means. But, to be fair, the Democrats do likely know this, which is why they keep laying the groundwork to blame Republicans. When pressed, Karine Jean-Pierre said, "Republicans are, actually, going to make things worse." How is that even possible, given the colossal failures of the Biden regime? Yet, the Democrats do have a platform on which to run. Here is a short list of their accomplishments and if you like them, by all means, vote for Democrats this November: Calling parents terrorists, record high gasoline prices, defunding the police, high crime, increased violent crime, fentanyl deaths number one for the 18-49 year range, open borders, over 3 million illegals in one year, skyrocketing food prices, massive federal spending, higher taxes and food shortages just to name a few. In this episode from The Bald Brad Show, a top Senate Democrat and a media anchor commemorated the 21st anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on Sunday by trying to compare them to the Jan. 6 riots at the United States Capitol in 2021. Furthermore, Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton joined CNN's Dana Bash on the anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks to talk about how she hopes Americans will find a way to put political differences aside and "come together as a country" as we did following the attacks, only to turn around and suggest that "political and ideological" extremism "during this time in our country" is every bit as dangerous. Clinton's comments echoed President Joe Biden's latest divisive rhetoric calling "MAGA Republicans" a threat to the country. Lastly, The ex-CNN anchor just landed a plush job as the Fall 2022 Walter Shorenstein Media and Democracy Fellow at the Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy at Harvard's Kennedy School. Stelter, recently fired from CNN, has once again proven that in politics and media, the worst offenders tend to fail upwards. In short, certain Democrats just won't go away.

In today's episode, I acknowledge President Biden took a bicycle tumble over the weekend, but it's too easy to play that for cheap political points. It's interesting to point out how those on the Left once said his ability to ride a bike proves he is not suffering dementia, but I don't need him falling down to know that. What I find most interesting today is how the mainstream media (and many on the Left) continue to believe anything Representative Adam Schiff (for brains) (D-CA) has to say. Over the weekend, he once again declared he has “evidence” showing Trump's direct involvement with the January 6 riot. It sounded so familiar, I decided to play a montage of similar sounding quotes from him, only as it related to the Russian Collusion Hoax. The word choices, phraseology and delivery are all remarkably similar to what he told CNN's Dana Bash regarding the January 6 Kangaroo Hearing. Joe Biden also seems to believe America is doing great right now. He is completely out-of-touch with the average American if he truly believes that. He thinks we are all making more and saving more than ever and because of that we are in a perfect position to weather a little inflation. He said he's never been more optimistic for the country than he is now. To weigh in on both the January 6 Hearings and the President's views of the state of our union, former Representative Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) once again levies some fantastic commentary. She, too, calls the January 6 Committee nothing more than a “show trial” designed to distract Americans from what Congress should really be working on right now. As to Biden's thoughts, she thinks he's either making a bad joke or is just unaware he's president of a country where people cannot afford groceries, gasoline and their mortgage on a full-time job. To end the show, I play a campaign spot for a Hispanic woman running for TX-15. She is running as a Republican and demonstrates what someone sounds like when they are not out-of-touch like Biden and most of his Administration. It's an example of a winning message and one that should be replicated across this great nation. Patriotism and a love of the Constitution, as written, is how to win when going up against people who believe in a two-tiered system of justice, economics and government. Our pledge of allegiance reminds as all that we are one nation, not two, standing indivisible, not purposely divided. [00:30] Economic Trigger (16 minutes)In the 1980s, Herbert W. Armstrong prophesied that an economic crisis would trigger the final unification of Europe. In May, producer prices for industrial products in Germany went up by 33.6 percent compared to last year. This uptick in prices across Europe alongside the lack of U.S. leadership and energy production is putting greater pressure on Europe to take economic matters into its own hands. [16:50] Biden's Attack on the Oil Industry (4 minutes)Joe Biden's war against the oil industry is actually an audacious attempt to transition America away from fossil fuels and into green new energy. And according to the Washington Post, this “opportunity” is not moving fast enough: “The energy crisis was meant to spur a green revolution—but the world wasn't ready.” [20:35] Putin Winning in Ukraine (4 minutes)Yesterday, Max Hastings at Bloomberg wrote that Putin is evil and that his victory in Ukraine seems likely. “Most of us are wary about using the E-word,” he wrote. “Yet it seems hard to consider Russian President Vladimir Putin as anything other than a force for evil.” In this segment, we look at what the Bible says about evil—and the spirit behind it. [24:50] LGBTQ+ Administration (6 minutes)In his speech last week, Joe Biden praised his administration's wholehearted acceptance of the LGBTQ+ community. “I think we have more LGBTQ+ people than any administration, or every administration combined,” he said. God prophesied that our nations would be sick from head to toe, and the lifestyle being promoted from the White House is further proof of this. [30:45] Sham January 6 Hearings (5 minutes)Yesterday, Congressman Adam Schiff told CNN's Dana Bash that he has “evidence” Donald Trump coordinated the “insurrection” of Jan. 6, 2021. When asked about the specifics of his evidence, Schiff quickly backtracked: “You know, I don't want to get ahead of our hearing.” [35:35] Bible Study: Deliverance From the Evil One (14 minutes)During His last few hours on Earth, Jesus Christ prayed for His Church—that it would be unified, protected and delivered from Satan the devil and his army of demons. In a world where Satan has been cast down and confined to this Earth, God's people must have divine spiritual protection and deliverance. White House press secretary Jen Psaki said Sunday that Russian President Vladimir Putin's decision to put Russia's deterrence forces, which includes nuclear arms, on high alert are part of a wider pattern of unprovoked escalation and "manufactured threats" from the Kremlin."This is really a pattern that we've seen from President Putin through the course of this conflict, which is manufacturing threats that don't exist in order to justify further aggression -- and the global community and the American people should look at it through that prism," Psaki told ABC's George Stephanopoulos on "This Week."Additionally, a senior administration official told CNN on Sunday that Putin's move was "yet another escalatory and totally unnecessary step," a senior administration official said Sunday."At every step of this conflict Putin has manufactured threats to justify more aggressive actions -- he was never under threat from Ukraine or from NATO, which is a defensive alliance that will not fight in Ukraine," the official said."The only reason his forces face a threat today is because they invaded a sovereign country, and one without nuclear weapons. This is yet another escalatory and totally unnecessary step," they added.Putin's move comes in the face of universal condemnation from Western powers over Moscow's unprovoked assault on Ukraine, now in its fourth day."Top officials in leading NATO countries have allowed themselves to make aggressive comments about our country, therefore I hereby order the Minister of Defense and the chief of the General Staff to place the Russian Army Deterrence Force on combat alert," Putin said in a televised meeting with top Russian defense officials.Putin also said the Western sanctions placed on Russia were unlawful.US Ambassador to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield similarly cast Putin's actions as unnecessarily escalatory on Sunday, telling CBS News that he "is continuing to escalate this war in a manner that is totally unacceptable.""We have to continue to condemn his actions in ... the strongest possible way," she told CBS News. "Putin has tried every means possible to actually put fear in the world in terms of his action, and it just means that we have to ramp up our efforts here at the United Nations and elsewhere to hold him accountable."Ukrainian Ambassador to the US Oksana Markarova, meanwhile, cast Putin's move as "one more example of the terrorist behavior of Russia," telling CNN's Dana Bash on Sunday on "State of the Union" that Russian forces "attacked our country, they are scaring everyone."And NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg called Putin's allegations against NATO "dangerous rhetoric," adding that "this is a behavior which is irresponsible.""The new statements from President Putin just added to the very aggressive rhetoric we have seen from Russia for many months, and especially the last couple of weeks, where they are not only threatening Ukraine, but also threatening NATO allied countries," he told Bash earlier on the same program.- by Sam Fossum, Arlette Saenz and Devan Cole, CNNSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Sunday that Russia's "playbook" for an invasion of Ukraine is moving forward, though he said there still is a chance for diplomacy to avert a war."As we've described it, everything leading up to the actual invasion appears to be taking place," Blinken said on CNN's "State of the Union" on Sunday.Ukraine's defense ministry reported more than 100 ceasefire violations in eastern Ukraine on Saturday and said that shelling continued into Sunday, while Russian troops remain in Belarus to continue military exercises that were supposed to have concluded.Blinken told CNN's Dana Bash he was concerned that the extension of the exercises was another sign that Russia was setting the stage to invade, following "false-flag" operations this week and the accumulation of more than 150,000 Russian forces along Ukraine's border."Now they're justifying the continuation of 'exercises' that they said would end now, the continuation indefinitely of those quote-unquote exercises on the situation in eastern Ukraine -- a situation that they created by continuing to ramp up tensions," Blinken said.Still, Blinken said the US would continue to try to find a last-ditch diplomatic path. He said President Joe Biden is willing to talk to Russian President Vladimir Putin "at any time, in any format" if it will help prevent a war, saying the Biden administration will continue to take whatever steps it can to try to convince Moscow not to invade Ukraine."We believe President Putin has made the decision, but until the tanks are actually rolling, and the planes are flying, we will use every opportunity and every minute we have to see if diplomacy can still dissuade President Putin from carrying this forward," Blinken said.Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was in Germany on Saturday, where he met with Vice President Kamala Harris at the Munich Security Conference. Zelensky said that he was urging the US and Europe not to wait to put in place sanctions against Russia, arguing that they wouldn't help Ukraine if they only were invoked after an invasion had already begun.Blinken said on Sunday that the US did not want to unveil the sanctions ahead of time because that would "allow Russia to try and plan against them.""The purpose of the sanctions in the first instance is to try to deter Russia from going to war," he said. "As soon as you trigger them, that deterrent is gone and until the last minute, as long as we can try to bring a deterrent effect to this, we're going to try to do that."Blinken said that if Putin goes forward with an invasion, the US and NATO have been clear they're "going to come down on him and Russia very, very hard."Asked if Putin could be bluffing, Blinken said, "There's always a chance, but every indication that we've seen, every move that he's made, that has followed the play that we laid out for the world to see in front of the United Nations Security Council, he is following the script almost to the letter.""Everything we're seeing suggests that this is dead serious, that we are on the brink of an invasion," he added. But Putin still has options on the table if he chooses to take a diplomatic off-ramp to the tensions, Pentagon press secretary John Kirby said Sunday."We have made serious proposals and talked about changing, for instance, the scope and scale of some of our exercises in Europe, being willing to talk about offensive missile capabilities in Europe. We have certainly put forward other proposals to try to convince Mr. Putin ... that we're serious," Kirby told Fox.He also made clear the issue of Ukraine's membership in NATO, however, is "an issue for Ukraine and for NATO.""That is not something that Mr. Putin can simply institute a veto over or decide for himself," he said. And the US would not recognize the ceding of Crimea or any other territory in Eastern Ukraine to Russia as a way to...See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

DON'T LET THE SUN GO DOWN ON MEJoe Biden has been President for one year and in that time has done a total of just two solo press conferences, yesterday being his second. But after watching him slowly deteriorate as the 1 hour and 45 minute Q&A session went on, you can understand why. As Jack Posobiec put it on Twitter:"You could actually see Biden sundown live on TV. Historic"And I don't focus on Biden's very clear mental decline to be cruel. We need to focus on it because it's now become a matter of national security. During his Q&A session, Biden created a full-blown international incident when he essentially said he'd be ok with Russia making a "minor incursion" into Ukraine. CNN's Dana Bash remarked live on air that she's was getting text messages from "people around the president" saying:"Clean up on aisle State Department."What Biden did to create the problem: Biden admitted that he believes Russia will invade Ukraine. But said the U.S. response "depends on what [Putin] does. It's one thing if it's a minor incursion... But if they actually do what they're capable of doing with the force they've massed on the border, it is going to be a disaster for Russia.”The idea that Biden would openly admit to our enemies that we would be more amenable to a "minor incursion" basically gives Putin the green light to go into Ukraine. CNN's Jake Tapper called it a "less than whole-hearted warning." A CNN reporter stationed in Ukraine replied to Tapper, saying: "That's an understatement. [Ukrainians] watched those remarks, I think, with horror. One Ukrainian official who I've been in close contact with, [said] 'it gives the green light to Putin to enter Ukraine at his pleasure.'"Clean up: Biden created such a geopolitical mess that the Press Secretary had to issue a statement immediately after saying: "If any Russian military forces move across the Ukrainian border, that's a renewed invasion, and it will be met with a swift, severe, and united response."For what it's worth: I have very little interest in Ukraine. I disagree with the war-hawks of the Republican party who think we need to enter a proxy war with Russia in Ukraine. But at the same time, I don't want the President signaling to our enemies what we plan to do.Remember, this press conference was supposed to kick off Biden's new communication strategy of being more available - a strategy he's taking in response to his dismal polling numbers. I would say, it's not a great start to Biden 2.0. https://gorightnews.com/dont-let-the-sun-go-down-on-biden/https://www.spreaker.com/user/9922149/dont-let-the-sun-go-down-on-me

June 14, 2021: Israel Dumps Netanyahu; AOC vs. Centrist Cronies; DOJ's Privacy Boogaloo

AM Quickie

Play Episode Listen Later Jun 14, 2021 6:58

Welcome to Majority.FM's AM QUICKIE! Brought to you by justcoffee.coop TODAY'S HEADLINES: Israel's far-right, heavily corrupt prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu is finally out. He's been replaced by another far-right tech entrepreneur. Meanwhile, the normally tight-lipped Apple said it turned over data about Trump's former White House Counsel Don McGahn. And lastly, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez went on CNN and dared to point out the biggest flaw in her party's plans to enact any sort of agenda. THESE ARE THE STORIES YOU NEED TO KNOW: It finally happened. After 12 years, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is out, replaced by a strange government coalition of basically everyone outside of his party in the Israeli government. But before we get too excited, let's meet the new Prime Minister. Taking over for Bibi is Naftali Bennett, a former tech entrepreneur whose politics may be just as right wing and reactionary as his predecessor's. Bennett has only been in politics about 8 years, and before that made millions in the tech sector. He's also a former Israeli Commando whose latest post in government was as Minister of Defense, and he's reportedly bragged about killing Arab people, saying quote: “I've killed lots of Arabs in my life – and there's no problem with that.” endquote. Yeah, sounds like this guy isn't exactly a step up from Netanyahu. He's also vehemently supportive of Israel's colonialist settlers. Bennett took over thanks to a razor-close vote in Parlaiment authorizing a new government by just one vote, 60 to 59, with one abstention. Bennett's party itself only holds 7 seats in Parlaiment, and managed to take the top slot by creating an eight-party monster coalition aimed at taking Bibi down. In other words, none of this is particularly stable, and none of it looks particularly good for the Palestinians still suffering after Netanyahu's final acts of war against them. AOC Calls Out Centrist Cronies The Democrats have a problem -- they all know it, but almost none of them will come out and say it. It's pretty simple: the Republican-friendly coalition of Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema are essentially stonewalling any bill that Biden wants to pass. Naturally, most inter-party criticism falls on the left. Which is why Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez was on CNN on Sunday defending progressive's decision to pre-emptivly reject the centrist infrastructure compromise plan that Manchin and co are putting together. CNN's Dana Bash tried to corner Ocasio-Cortez into saying whether or not she'd vote for such a marginal compromise bill, to which Ocasio-Cortez responded; “The thing is, is that this isn't the best that we can get." Then she launched into one of the few open declarations of what's actually going on; "I do think that we need to talk about the elephant in the room which is Senate Democrats blocking crucial items in a Democratic agenda for reasons that I don't think hold a lot of water." The key point that Manchin and his block are trying to make is that there are ten Republicans who can be convinced to play ball, and that Biden and every Democrat to the left of him should place their policy ambitions in those centrist hands. But as we all know, that's a myth. AOC knows it too, and said as much: “That doesn't really hold water, particularly when we can't even get 10 senators to support a January 6 commission." We covered this back when it happened. If Manchin couldn't get Romney and some of the less-Trumpy GOP to back an inquiry into an attempted coup earlier this year, then only a massive idiot would assume that they're going to get the GOP's help passing an infrastructure bill. The Democratic party leadership has to know this too which makes the real question clear: what are they going to do about it? DOJ's New Privacy Boogaloo The Trump Administration continues to deliver weird news gifts, even from beyond its political grave. This one comes from the New York Times, which reports that in 2018, the Justice Department subpoenaed data from Apple so it could look into White House Counsel Don McGahn. The exact reasons behind this decision aren't clear, and probably have something to do with the complicated mess left behind by Trump's nebulous associations with Russia. But what's weird about this case is that the Justice Department kept it secret for over two years, and forbade Apple from telling McGahn about it. And it fits in to the larger context of what's been going on in the privacy space in the past few months. We've recently learned that Trump's Justice Department aggressively hunted for leakers, going as far as to try to obtain phone records and other data from reporters for the Times, CNN, and Washington Post. This is all stuff that Biden's new Attorney General Merrick Garland is going to have to untangle. And right now it's not quite clear what side he's going to come down on. The Biden Administration ordered the DOJ to stop seizing reporter's email, calling it quote “simply wrong.” But the New York Times notes that there are still a ton of variables as to what the new rules will look like, as far as who's protected and who's considered a journalist. If you remember, The Obama administration was particularly zealous at rooting out leaks, so that doesn't inspire a lot of confidence. AND NOW FOR SOME QUICKER QUICKIES: Joe Biden met with the Queen of England on Sunday and managed to not commit any real social faux pas, only telling her that she reminded him of his mother. Isn't that nice! What a difference from Trump. At least our good president Biden loves and respects a Monarch, which is really what America is all about if you think about it. CNN reports that GOP Governors are pushing to end mask mandates in schools, once again blaming government overreach for the policy. Kids under 12 won't be eligible for the vaccine till about Thanksgiving, so the masks make sense, but of course you can't tell that to the GOP. A mysterious auction winner paid more than $28 million to ride to space with Jeff Bezos on July 20, becoming one of the first private space tourists to get ripped off by a billionaire's vanity project. Congrats to whoever that person is! Have a nice flight! A bipartisan group of lawmakers released two bills on Friday that could completely overhaul the competition and anti-trust system that let big tech establish world-spanning monopolies. We'll see how well they fare against the tech giant's inevitable onslaught of lobbying. No Child Left Behind Act-So when did we decide to leave our children behind? I'm against sin.  I'll kick it as long as I have a foot.  I'll fight it as long as I have a fist.  I'll butt it as long as I have a head.  I'll bite it as long as I have a tooth.  And when I'm old and fistless and footless and toothless, I'll gum it till I go home to glory and it goes home to perdition. Billy Sunday   Are the politicians creating a nation or want to create a of illiterates? Teachers are essential we need to get our children back in school, if we fail to educate our children that will become a group of modern salves unable to read or write. or fight back. They will have no knowledge of their God given rights and constitutional rights. It okay for protesters to walk together not having social distancing, however children cannot go back to school. This is also dividing our nation, Teacher stand up, for your students do not use this a leverage for more pay if you really are concern about these children. Parents you need to stand up as will for your children.  DeVos stressed the importance of getting students back in classrooms,  yes she did not answer many question "The key is that kids have to get back to school, and we know there are going to be hot spots and those need to be dealt with on a case-by-case basis, but the rule should be that kids go back to school this fall," she told CNN's Dana Bash. Pressley was one of several Democratic lawmakers, including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi of California, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York, and Sen. Kamala Harris of California, who publicly blasted DeVos following her Sunday TV appearances. Obvious that some politicians do not want the schools to re-open White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow on Friday dismissed the difficulties surrounding getting students back into classrooms this fall as coronavirus cases continue to rise in many states and the school year nears. "Just go back to school, we can do that," Kudlow told reporters. "And you know, you can social distance, you can get your temperature taken, you can be tested, you can have distancing -- come on, it's not that hard." Kudlow's comments seemed to run counter to President Donald Trump's dissatisfaction with the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines on reopening schools, which the President slammed on Wednesday as "very tough and expensive." Trump also threatened to cut off federal funding for schools if they don't open in the fall, the latest stress for schools already reeling from the coronavirus pandemic. While the CDC has released guidance to schools on how to safely bring children back into the classroom, the administration has said most of the decision making will be left up to local districts -- suggesting there will be a piecemeal approach to how children across the nation will be educated in the fall. Congress has so far passed about $30 billion in aid for schools to deal with coronavirus -- about $13 billion of which went to K-12 institutions. But educators say billions more will be needed to pay for things like masks, cleaning supplies, hand washing stations and possibly more staff to conduct temperature checks, and Congress is still trillions of dollars apart on another stimulus package to respond to the pandemic. Adding to the concern over funding is Trump's threat to limit federal support for schools that don't reopen over Covid-19 fears.   #Kudlow #CNN #News
