Greg is back, the beers are flowing, and somehow this Super Bowl turned into the Missionary Monday of championship games. We debate whether anyone is actually excited, break down why buffalo chicken dip is doing the heavy lifting, and spiral into music takes that range from Kid Rock avoidance strategies to why Nate Dogg should've stayed a featured artist. We dig into Super Bowl prop bets (Charlie Puth anthem timing, Seahawks trauma odds, first celebrity fans shown), fire up a full Patriots Hall of Fame conspiracy, and react to the latest Epstein file dump producing some genuinely surprising names. Plus: an Olympics update from Lou Holtz in Italy, Team Puerto Rico threatening to bail on the World Baseball Classic, Tiger Woods' unbreakable streak, Bryson vs LIV's 72-hole problem, Paul George's PED loophole, Jarrell Miller losing his wig mid-fight, and Mookie forcing college football into the show one last time. It's long. It's dumb. It's exactly what it should be.
====================================================SUSCRIBETEhttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNpffyr-7_zP1x1lS89ByaQ?sub_confirmation=1==================================================== LECCIÓN DE ESCUELA SABÁTICA I TRIMESTRE DEL 2026Narrado por: Eddie RodriguezDesde: Guatemala, GuatemalaUna cortesía de DR'Ministries y Canaan Seventh-Day Adventist ChurchJUEVES 29 DE ENERO“ESTIMEN A LOS QUE SON COMO ÉL” Lee Filipenses 2:25-30. ¿Cómo describe Pablo a Epafrodito?
====================================================SUSCRIBETEhttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNpffyr-7_zP1x1lS89ByaQ?sub_confirmation=1==================================================== LECCIÓN DE ESCUELA SABÁTICA I TRIMESTRE DEL 2026Narrado por: Eddie RodriguezDesde: Guatemala, GuatemalaUna cortesía de DR'Ministries y Canaan Seventh-Day Adventist ChurchMARTES 27 DE ENEROUN SACRIFICIO VIVIENTE Lee Filipenses 2:17; 2 Timoteo 4:6; Romanos 12:1, 2; y 1 Corintios 11:1.

2026 BBWAA HOF BallotIn a bit of a surprise, the Contemporary Era Committee selected Jeff Kent to the Hall of Fame last month. He will join the likes of Rogers Hornsby, Nellie Fox, Joe Morgan, Ryne Sandberg, Jackie Robinson, and other MVP second baseman to earn enshrinement (Jose Altuve will join this list in the future, though another player on this year's writers' ballot is a long shot.) Dale Murphy, Carlos Delgado, and Don Mattingly all received more than six votes, and the rest of the candidates received fewer than five, meaning they are ineligible to be on the next ballot in three years. For Clemens, Bonds, and Sheffield, that result was not too surprising given their alleged PED use. This coming Tuesday, January 20th, the results from the BBWAA ballot will be revealed, and we will find out who will join Jeff Kent in Cooperstown this year. Carlos Beltrán and Andruw Jones appear to be in strong position for election this year. Chase Utley and Felix Hernández are the big climbers, and Cole Hamels looks to haver a strong debut on the ballot. We will break down the candidacies (or lack thereof) for the newcomers to the ballot, as well as our predictions for who, if any, will make it this year.Audio clips from MLB.tvHowie Kendrick's Clutch Homers - WJFK Eats Radio - Dave Jageler and Charlie SlowesAlex Gordon's WS HR - FOX - Hall of Fame Joe Buck, Tom VerducciEdwin Encarnacion's Walk-off - TBS - Ernie JohnsonAs always, shout out to Baseball Reference and SABR for statistics, box scores, background information, and much, much more.Catch you next time,P.C.O.
====================================================SUSCRIBETEhttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNpffyr-7_zP1x1lS89ByaQ?sub_confirmation=1==================================================== LECCIÓN DE ESCUELA SABÁTICA I TRIMESTRE DEL 2026Narrado por: Eddie RodriguezDesde: Guatemala, GuatemalaUna cortesía de DR'Ministries y Canaan Seventh-Day Adventist ChurchJUEVES 15 DE ENEROUNIDOS Y SIN TEMOR Lee Filipenses 1:27-30.

Lee Colosenses 1:3-8.

You can train hard, eat perfectly, and still feel run down… if your sleep is off. In this episode, Luke and I break down why sleep becomes such a common bottleneck for bodybuilders, what's actually causing it (environment, stress load, stimulants, PED-related sympathetic drive, and sleep apnea), and what you can change tonight to improve sleep quality and recovery. We also cover what to track so you actually know whether sleep is improving, why wearables can be misleading, and the practical “non-flashy” fixes that move the needle the fastest. If your energy is flat, your training performance is slipping, or your physique isn't responding the way it should… start here.

What happens when the world's most delightfully impractical sport runs straight into the hardest questions about fairness and inclusion? We invited amateur strongman athlete and community mod Lola Phoenix to lift the lid on Atlas stones, log presses, and the culture that keeps people coming back for more. Along the way, we unpack a controversy shaking the strongman scene and sketch a better path forward that puts competition—and community—first.Lola walks us through the nuts and bolts of strongman: why odd objects make lifting feel like a puzzle, how a 90 kg stone becomes a rite of passage, and which events are secretly miserable (looking at you, Dinnie-style carries). If you're new, you'll get a no-nonsense roadmap for getting started without a fancy gym: build deadlifts, carries, and overheads; find a crew; and follow approachable pros and evidence-based resources like Stronger By Science. We also laugh a lot about height problems, bag toss fails, and the eternal allure of big rocks. Then we get serious. Strongman's gendered divisions, uneven funding, and patchwork rules have produced real harm, from stripped titles to targeted harassment. Instead of arguing identity in a vacuum, we zoom out to everything that already skews “fairness”: height, hormone profiles, coaching access, money, and the absence of consistent PED testing. Lola shares a practical fix hiding in plain sight—use existing competition data to build ability-based brackets. Set the events first, auto-cluster athletes by performance, and let the weights match the lifter. You get closer heats, better shows, and a bigger tent for strongwomen and nonbinary athletes without locking anyone out.If strength sports intrigue you or you care about making competition genuinely fair, this one's for you. Tap play, meet Lola, pick up a metaphorical stone, and help us grow a smarter, kinder strongman community. The offseason really planted its flag this week, and Episode 123 of Tablesetters is loaded. The Dodgers doubled down on their super-team bullpen by landing Edwin Díaz on a record-setting three-year deal, instantly changing the late-inning landscape and raising the bar yet again on what an all-in contender looks like. In the same tier of aggression, the Phillies are keeping their tone-setter at home, re-signing Kyle Schwarber on a five-year, $150 million pact while also locking in Rob Thomson through 2027 to extend the most successful run of Phillies baseball in a decade. We dig into how Díaz's contract reshapes the relief market, what it says about the Dodgers' willingness to blow past every financial line on the board, and how the Mets' choice to pivot to Devin Williams looks now that their former star closer is in L.A. From there, we shift to Philadelphia: why Schwarber's deal breaks every “rule” for 33-year-old DHs, what it means for the rest of the power market, how Thomson's extension fits their “job's not done” mentality, and what the Phillies still have to solve with J.T. Realmuto, the outfield, and the rotation. It hasn't been a quiet week in Queens, either. Pete Alonso is back on the open market, talking to teams at the Winter Meetings while reports out of Orlando suggest the Mets are hesitant to go beyond three guaranteed years. We break down why Alonso's profile is so polarizing in today's game, why a reunion feels more like a late-offseason outcome than a sure thing, and how his market ties back into Schwarber's deal, Cody Bellinger's next move, and the first-base/DH shuffle across the league. On the future side of things, the Chicago White Sox win the 2026 MLB Draft Lottery and secure the No. 1 overall pick, with the Rays and Twins right behind them. We walk through how the lottery rules shaped this year's order, why the Giants and Royals come out as surprise winners, which clubs slid down the board, and how names like Roch Cholowsky, Grady Emerson, and Justin Lebron could shape the next few years. And in Cooperstown news, Jeff Kent finally gets the call from the Contemporary Baseball Era Committee. We talk about his case as the most powerful second baseman ever, why he stalled out with the writers, and what the new Era Committee rules mean for Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, Gary Sheffield, and the rest of the PED-era lightning rods going forward. We close by zooming in on Boston, where the Red Sox are kicking the tires on Eugenio Suárez as they hunt for impact power at third base and possibly first/DH. We get into what Suárez brings at this stage of his career, how his strikeout and chase issues complicate the fit, what it signals about their Plan A with Alex Bregman, and how Masataka Yoshida's situation could dictate where the Sox go next. Steve and Devin are taking you through every angle — the signings, the extensions, the Hall of Fame fallout, the draft lottery results, and how all of it ties together as the hot stove finally starts to cook. ⚾️ Superteams loading up, power bats getting paid, futures being rewritten — the offseason is officially in full swing.
BT & Sal launch into a heated discussion on whether Pete Alonso is on a Hall of Fame trajectory, starting with a hilarious detour into baseball slang like "dry humping" and "blue ball" in the bullpen. The main event focuses on Alonso's career production, with Tierney arguing that if Pete reaches 500 home runs and 1,200+ RBIs—a feat they calculate is within reach if he averages 40 HRs for the next four years—he's a guaranteed Hall of Famer. Sal pushes back on the "massive assumption" of sustained elite production into his late 30s, citing historical trends among post-PED era players. Both hosts agree on the irony that while they debate his Cooperstown credentials, the Mets' apparent low-ball offers (a 3-year extension) are "absurd," increasing the risk that Alonso could hit his 500th home run in another uniform—a heartbreaking outcome for the franchise. The debate includes a comparison of Alonso's reliability versus the spectacular but shorter peak of Don Mattingly.
BT & Sal kick off a fiery hour, celebrating the one-year anniversary of the Juan Soto signing to prove you "can't win the offseason." The Mets focus shifts to David Stearns' controversial reluctance to give long-term deals to free-agent pitchers, with Sal arguing for trade targets like Tarik Skubal instead of overpaying for "non-aces." In a stunning take, the hosts declare the Jets' brutal loss to the Dolphins is "GOOD" for the franchise, dramatically improving their Colts' draft pick value for a franchise QB. The Yankees are slammed for focusing on irrelevant Sonny Gray history instead of signing Cody Bellinger and Kwan. Other hot topics include: an impassioned rant over the Hall of Fame Veterans Committee's disgraceful six votes for Don Mattingly; a hilarious dissection of "The Bald Look," side "wings," and producer Hoff's viral sweatpants bulge; and an attack on Giants' rookie Abdul Carter's lack of accountability amid off-field issues. The show wraps with Sal detailing his chaotic trip to Santaland and a debate on PED confessions for Hall of Famers.
BT unleashes an impassioned rant over the Hall of Fame Veterans Committee disrespecting Don Mattingly, who received a shocking six votes despite his peak dominance and "contribution to the game." Tierney is furious that his all-time favorite player, a high-character star, is continually overlooked while other players with flawed résumés get in. Sal shifts gears to his chaotic weekend: a mad dash to Santaland at Macy's and the Rockefeller Tree where he battled crowds, strollers, and the clock for his family's annual picture. The hosts wrap up with the "Call of the Day," where Sal sarcastically wishes BT a "happy anniversary" of the Mets' massive Juan Soto signing—a reminder that you "can't win in the off-season." They also debate Buster Olney's call for Hall of Famers to admit to PED use to clear the way for Bonds and Clemens.
Ped, Burk and guest Grace open the show discussing a horrid Black Friday experience and people dumbly slipping on ice. Another fantastic Tik Tok video series has reached Adam's algorithm, much to the chagrin of Ryan. Burk brings us his perfect song of the week and back by popular demand, THE ROTTEN TOMATOES GAME!! In the Meat, Mm!, we celebrate the Christmas season by reading real and fake Hallmark movie plots and seeing if Grace can guess correctly. We end with fondly remembering some 90's Christmas gifts. Hut Hut! Love y'all.

BT & Sal dive into the buzz surrounding the Diddy documentary, highlighting the "unreal" vintage footage and the early rise of the hip-hop mogul. The conversation shifts to a fiery debate over the 2026 Baseball Hall of Fame ballot, triggered by a voter who submitted a ballot with only David Wright's name. Sal and BT dissect their differing picks, agreeing on Carlos Beltran and Felix Hernandez, but clashing over Andy Pettitte and closers like K-Rod. They also tackle the elephant in the room: whether A-Rod and Manny Ramirez should be let in despite their PED use. In football, they debate whether the Giants should gamble on the past glory of Bill Belichick or the program stability of Mike McCarthy, acknowledging the "purgatory" status of the Yankees. The show concludes with a special "Call from Down Under" from a loyal Mets fan in Australia seeking solutions for the Mets' dire pitching situation, which Sal labels "slop."

Ped & Burk kick off the episode with a discussion of what they think the best month is. The boys ponder their 40th birthdays. Where has the time gone? Parking at a gas station will reveal a person's entire character. Don't sleep on Dairy Queen burgers. We list our perfect Thanksgiving plates, and then, in some foreshadowing, it's Burk's perfect song. For the MEAT, Mm!, it's a massive topic we've been holding onto: Our all-time top ten movies! A nearly impossible task! We get country to end the show. Hut Hut! Love y'all.
BT & Sal ignite a debate over the latest ESPN farm system rankings, which shockingly place the Mets at #1 and the Yankees dramatically lower at #15 for 2025. They question if the Yankees' lack of development is due to constantly trading prospects for big-name acquisitions or rushing players like Volpe and Dominguez to the majors. The discussion pivots to a caller asking if the Yankees should pursue Fernando Tatis Jr. from the Padres, leading to a breakdown of his $292 million "albatross" contract and past PED issues. Finally, a mixed-race Mets fan calls in with a hot take on culture, arguing the Mets failed to land Japanese stars like Yamamoto because the organization is not "culturally intelligent" enough to make Queens appealing, despite the borough's high Asian population. They debate whether Steve Cohen did enough to honor Asian traditions during the recruiting process.
Ped, Burk and Tommy get a little serious in the cold open before Burk drops the perfect song on us out the gates. Tom and Adam then talk about their love for muk bang in a real brotherly love moment. We feel seen. Burk shares quite possibly the greatest catfishing story of all-time. A discussion about actors and cheaters. Tom's new tariff policy after being re-elected. And more intro thoughts! In the MEAT, Mm!, the boys reminisce on their early days in social media, being the first generation to have MSN Messenger, Facebook, how glorious it was, and how it enhanced the 2000s high school and college experience. Then Twitter came along and things got wild. Do you remember your first slow dance? Hut Hut! Love y'all.
US Olympic Marathon Trials champion Fiona O'Keeffe joins us at 55:03 to break down her 4th-place finish at the NYC Marathon, how she rebounded from Olympic heartbreak, and what it's like training under Amy and Alistair Cragg. She opens up about her workouts, recovery from injury, and her long-term goals for 2026 and beyond. Before that, we dive into a wild week in track and field: USADA quietly banned Marvin Bracy, the 2022 World 100 m silver medalist, for nearly four years after he provided "substantial assistance" in a federal doping investigation involving the AIU and the DEA. The story first broke through former sprinter Rae Edwards (RaesTake), who claimed Bracy had been serving a secret suspension and said Bracy's then-coach Dennis Mitchell tipped off the authorities after Bracy confided in him about using a PED. The case has sparked major questions about transparency, informants, and how far USADA should go in keeping suspensions hidden. Plus, the IOC bans males from women's sports, Conner and Kylie Mantz headline the Two Cities Marathon, Elise Cranny may be training with Keely Hodgkinson in the UK, and much more.
