What makes Cape Cod a welcoming, meaningful, and substantive place to visit? The arts. Unfortunately, the region's housing crisis has made it increasingly more difficult for artists to live, work, and create here. State Senator Julian Cyr returns to the CX Podcast to discuss these challenges and how last year's landmark legislation, the Affordable Homes Act, will give Cape Cod and the Islands the tools to keep creatives here through the Seasonal Communities designation which prioritizes housing for artists. The logical, rational side of neuroscientist Lisa Genova's brain said not to write a book, but her heart said otherwise. Roughly two decades ago, Lisa listened to the latter, penning her first novel, Still Alice, a highly personal piece inspired by her grandmother's struggles with Alzheimer's. Following her true north has led Genova to writing four more books with another (More or Less Maddy) on the way in 2025. The New York Times best-selling author sits down with host Julie Wake to discuss taking that career risk, selling her first book out of the trunk of a car, and living a life with purpose. Slam the Gavel welcomes back Nate Munro and Debbie Carroll to the podcast. They were last on Season 5, Episode167. They ask the vital questions: what happens to parents who are trapped in family court cases with judges who conduct illegal and unethical practices against them? Where can they go for help? Are there solutions outside of the legal system? What does it take to have influence in the decisions made in administrative law courtrooms? Nate Munro and Debbie Carroll tackled these questions in their efforts to identify and create avenues for parents suffering the often capricious actions of judges, magistrates, and attorneys who work in the divorce, custody, and child welfare industries. Parents going through the courts feel paralyzed, isolated, and terribly uninformed. They don't know the legal process, and they especially don't expect the legal maneuvers that will be used against them. Parents hope to be able to trust their own attorneys, but they soon find out that attorneys have their own playbooks they follow it with little regard for the pain and suffering of their clients and their children. Some of the agencies who represent themselves as recourses include state auditor, ombudsman, Department of Regulatory Agencies, Dept of Law and attorney regulation, State Attorney General, governor's offices, judicial discipline boards, and review processes over the Office of Respondent Parent Counsel and the ORC (for GALs). Nate and Debbie ask: what happens when these agencies fail and what other options do parents have? Nate and Debbie have supported parents in these courts for nearly a decade. They discussed various methods and resources to redirect the trajectory of these cases that are on auto-pilot to destruction. https://www.9news.com/article/news/local/robin-niceta-human-services-audit/73-a7c60392-619a-4116-a594-274dc4675b8ahttps://drive.google.com/file/d/1qQ9hspppr-O5BjjVaYulQIU5NEZpU_sz/view?usp=sharinghttps://coloradosun.com/2024/10/25/opinion-colorado-amendment-h-judicial-review-against/https://www.larimer.gov/spotlights/2023/12/29/former-caseworker-arrested-99-chargesTo Reach Debbie Carroll: Debbie.car@considerationnonprofit.org To Reach Nate Munro: PALADNmedia.substack.com, givesendgo.com/PALADNmedia, patron.com/PALADNmedia, PALADNmedia@protonmedia.com******** Supportshow(https://www.buymeacoffee.com/maryannpetri)Maryann Petri: dismantlingfamilycourtcorruption.comhttps://www.tiktok.com/@maryannpetriFacebook: https://www.youtube.com/@slamthegavelpodcasthostmar5536Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/guitarpeace/Pinterest: Slam The Gavel Podcast/@guitarpeaceLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/maryann-petri-62a46b1ab/ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@slamtheSupport the showSupportshow(https://www.buymeacoffee.com/maryannpetri)http://www.dismantlingfamilycourtcorruption.com/
Why make art? For Frank Anigbo, it's in the act of creating — showing that everyone (and anything) he paints has value. In this episode of the Creative Exchange, Frank takes listeners on a powerful journey from his hometown in Nigeria to his studio (and home) in Barnstable Village, and how becoming a parent inspired him to put his passions into painting – where he explores the topics of poverty, the intrinsic value of all life, racism, and the anxiety of parenthood. Slam the Gavel welcomes back Carl Roberts to the podcast. Carl was last on Season 5, Episodes 12 and 39. Carl Roberts is Founder of Colorado Resilience and SplitSmart. Carl is trying to bring solutions into the divorce/family court process where a case shouldn't drag out for years, but only 30 days. There are so many homicides and suicides that are perpetuated by the Family Court system as well as CPS. Carl shared his ideas on the screen (Slam the Gavel YouTube) that contain solutions. In doing presentations, Carl discussed his ideas and solutions and was met with silence. The path to restoration, justice and family healing is what Carl has to offer people that are divorcing and it seems the judiciary/family law doesn't want any part of it. Because of lack of accountability, oversight and transparency the court system is in the state it is in. We discussed the weaponization of the system with people calling CPS for either good faith concerns, questionable caller intent and ill intent to gain advantage. False accusations ruin lives and there is no accountability. All professionals that police the family court in order to destroy families are there in order to get paid. We talked about how Parental Alienation is weaponized in order to gain custody, with no accountability. This is not a battle of the sexes. Carl discussed that today's Feminists, where there are a loud minority and silent majority, appear to hate the family unit. Female judges rule unfairly on female litigants as well as male judges ruling unfairly on male litigants. How is this fair. We discussed cases that are taking place in New York, North Carolina and Kentucky. This comes down to the judiciary disregarding evidence without accountability. The system does not care. Bill encouraged, "get over yourself, whatever injustices have happened to you, go to the other gender just as easily. We have to get away from the battle of the sexes that serves nobody but the system. We have to start unifying."To Reach Carl Roberts: coloradoresilience.org Carl@ColoradoResilience.org and splitsmart.comThis episode of Slam the Gavel is sponsored by CPSprotect Consulting Services. The path to restoration, justice and family healing is what Carl has to offer people that are divorcing and it seems the judiciary/family law doesn't want any part of it. Because of lack of accountability, oversight and transparency the court system is in the state it is in. For instance here are 3 national judicial organizations. Also, everyone should tag relevant state government departments, agencies and policymakers within each. We need to stop just preaching to the choir and to make sure the policymakers are seeing and hearing our pleas for change. You'll have to research each group/person on each platform to see how you can tag them. IAALS (Institute for Advancement of American Legal System) iaals.du.edu, NCSC (National Center for State Courts) ncsc.org, NCJFCJ (National Council of Juvenile & Family Court Judges) ncjfcj.org. There are state departments/agencies such as Colorado Department of Human Resources, Colorado Courts and Colorado Governor, Jared Polis. We discussed how the one problem is people hiding money and the second problem is putting the kids in the middle. It's going to take one judge with the guts and authority to solve this equation. It just takes ONE to make it happen. Family court is a CRAP SHOOT. It all revolves around MONEY. We talked last week about what can happen when new coaches get distracted by the latest market trends and shiny objects. This week, we want to continue the conversation and chat about the importance of ongoing professional development. Because growing a divorce coaching practice isn't easy and it's certainly not a one-time event.A general rule of thumb is to allocate about 10% of your gross revenue to professional development. But keep in mind, that many continuing education expenses are tax-deductible for you if you're self-employed.By continuing to expand your knowledge, you'll gain confidence and that will translate into a higher consult call conversion rate and raving client fans. Ongoing professional development allows you to dive deeper into areas of interest to help focus your programs and offerings. And expertise or additional certifications provide credibility and/or may allow you to raise your rates over time.We hear many new coaches say that they can't afford to invest in continuing education because they're not making money yet. But there are tons of free or low cost ways to learn and grow. The ABA, APFM and AFCC all offer affordable memberships for divorce coaches and give you access to free webinars and resources. Your local or state court or bar association may be another source for low-cost or even free educational opportunities. Not only will you expand your knowledge base, improve your coaching skills, and stay current with the trends in divorce, but you'll meet lots of other professionals that can be referral or collaboration partners.Certification is just the first step, If you want to keep growing your business, you have to keep growing too.You can learn more about DCA™ or find out about any of the classes or events mentioned in this episode at the links below:Website: www.divorcecoachesacademy.comInstagram: www.instagram.com/divorcecoachesacademyLinkedIn: www.linkedin.com/company/divorce-coaches-academyEmail: DCA@divorcecoachesacademy.com

Slam the Gavel welcomes Amy Palacios, a Mother of six children. There are two ex-husbands fighting in court with the SAME lawyer, Attorney Jay White to perpetuate 14 years of corruption. Her first ex-husband paid the second ex-husband $50,000.00 to be a false witness against her. Her case started in Mecklenburg County and has now moved to Cabarrus County, NC. Both abusers have now teamed up to claim SHE is the abuser. They are making her pay $2,800.00/per month in Child Support and $85,000.00 to the man that has two criminal convictions of assault and was in jail for six months for attacking her. Judge Christy Wilhem ordered that Amy did not have to pay child support on her four children. Judge Nathaniel Knust is also involved in her case. The judges haven't been too much of an issue, just the MONOPOLY going on behind the scenes. We discussed seven exparte orders, numerous psychological evaluations only on Amy that showed no mental illness other than Legal Abuse/PTSD, though being called mentally ill, they expect her to pay a hefty amount of child support from her nursing job. A useless Guardian Ad Litem who has involvement in two different counties, as well as a false CPS report is also added into the mix. Amy's next court dates are October 3rd for the issue of the $85,000.00 and October 25th, 2022 to discuss child custody. Slam the Gavel will have Amy Palacios back on for updates. Amy encourages to have everything on a PDF file and send to multiple people so the court won't destroy the evidence and remember that your own lawyer is against you as Amy has paid out $250,000.00 and RECORD DSS (CPS) at all times due to fake DSS cases. To Reach Amy: Facebook Amy Hendricks Urban, (Urban)/PalaciosSupportshow(https://www.buymeacoffee.com/maryannpetri)http://beentheregotout.com/http://www.dismantlingfamilycourtcorruption.com/Music by: mictechmusic@yahoo.comBustin' Chops & Callin' ShotsEach week Josh and Jon sit down to give their take on travel sports and everything in...Listen on: Apple Podcasts SpotifySupport the show
Slam the Gavel welcomes Laurie Smith, LMSW back on the show. Laurie Smith has been practicing social work for 18 years and is well versed in multiple modalities, theories and evidence-based practices. Her work has continuously involved working with marginalized populations. Her passion is working with Trauma Survivors (individuals, providers and systems ), through offering self-guided, self-paced journeys that point towards Harnessing the Power of Our Own Internal GPS, Wielding Our Survival Skills and Building Armor Strategically to improve Quality of Life, Effectiveness and Sustainability for all and dig into our Birthright to Our Power and Joy. What has impacted her work the most is her own Trauma Transformations and Utilization of Universal Laws in everyday life. We discussed how the family court system impacts parents and how children are treated as property; how this evolved into the system developed in the Colonial Era. This adversarial system is set up to ruin families and it is a system of "pay to play." It is time to be vocal about how many people this is affecting. It is people that are trying to survive every day or have been diagnosed with mental illness that is now being used against them in the courts. The world will say whatever about us but we always have a choice and we get to decide how we will relate what is happening to us. This pathological system, it is chaos and the most effective way through it is to go inside and gain your own resources in terms of a support system and empowerment. Live a life that means something to you. Moving forward we are not under such naive illusions that life is fair, it is not. Don't put your faith in what is happening in the outside world and people are not alone. Laurie encourages to enjoy every day, do a gratitude practice, no matter what is happening around you. Focus on positive things, because they can't take that away from you.To reach Laurie: https://linktr.ee/cloudedcompass?utm_source=linktree_profile_share<sid=091d2af8-748e-4677-b464-5cad5d280515https://www.linkedin.com/in/laurie-smith-a598b247Supportshow(https://www.buymeacoffee.com/maryannpetri)http://beentheregotout.com/http://www.dismantlingfamilycourtcorruption.com/Music by: mictechmusic@yahoo.com Smells Like HumansLike spending time with funny friends talking about curious human behavior. Slam the Gavel welcomes back Darlene Orvieto, Advocate of Massachusetts Corruption Exposed on Facebook. Darlene was last on the show Season 2, Episode 74, 129 and Season 3, Episode 82. There was much discussion on how Judge Fidnick, National President of the AFCC, caused Darlene Orvieto's situation. The Judge removed the children away from a loving, fit parent, violating her rights and has allowed the abuse to continue. Also, she showed bias and had no idea of what ADA rights are. Darlene has filed grievances with no response. In the interview the Judge is quoted stating, "this is a 60 billion a year business, Family Law Attorneys are doing well..." Fidnick also stated that the Family Resolution program, would not be held against parents who were substance abusers, yet removed the children from Darlene with not even so much as a traffic ticket. Also referring parents to reach out to CPS for help. We also discussed The Family Wizard program and found that it was a Platinum Sponsor to the AFCC. Darlene Orvieto has a 175 page GAL report that stated Darlene should have full custody, but still was treated like a criminal. Apparently there are 20 million alienated children in the USA and judges think they can tell a parent who is in charge of Moral Development. Darlene discussed what her kids have gone through and now the fourth false accusation of sexual abuse through coaching of one of the children. If a Child comes out with a coached accusation such as this, it is generally coming from the opposition. What has to be taken into consideration is that some parents are not alienating, but protecting their children and it gets twisted around in the courtroom. This happens quite often. Great discussion with a wealth of information on this podcast. You're a what? A divorce coach?Divorce coaching is still a relatively new profession and today Tracy and Debra talk about what you can do on an individual level to help spread the word about the value we add for clients going through the divorce process. It all starts with professionalism in your individual practice and insuring that each and every client has a great experience with you. Next step is talking about what you do in your local community and don't underestimate the power of that elevator speech. Being able to accurately describe what you do in a couple of short, impactful sentences goes a long way with people you meet. Then there are the State and National organizations like the ABA, APFM, AFCC, IDFA and others where divorce professionals gather. They offer conferences, continuing education, and presenting and writing opportunities. And finally, mentoring new divorce coaches is another way to invest in the future of the profession. Individual Practice StandardsCommunity InvolvementState Organization ConnectionsNational Organization MembershipContinuing Professional EducationMentoringHowever, let's not overlook the importance of mindset when it comes to advocacy work. You must have the confidence to speak up, the belief that you deserve a seat at the table. When you are operating as a professional and are committed divorce coaching as a credible profession in the divorce space, then you'll be ready to start your own advocacy campaign. We invite you to join us on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays for our Case Consultation & Mastermind Group if you'd like to brainstorm ideas or get some encouragement. You can learn more about DCA™ or find out about any of the classes or events mentioned in this episode at the links below:Website: www.divorcecoachesacademy.comInstagram: www.instagram.com/divorcecoachesacademyLinkedIn: www.linkedin.com/company/divorce-coaches-academyEmail: DCA@divorcecoachesacademy.com

“Conflict Coach” Rich Heller enlightens us on resentment, anger, and other negativities that couples can get into that can get in the way of their sex life. If you or your partner is buried in resentment, this episode will help you get on the same team again and work on your sex life. How do people get buried in years of negative feelings? In the beginning of a relationship, there is often a honeymoon stage where everything seems perfect, and you are deeply in love with each other. At some point, this stage ends. Not that you stop loving each other, but reality hits and suddenly you are not the center of each other's universe. It becomes clear you are not with the fantasy partner you may have imagined. All the little unresolved resentments and feelings about different expectations can build over time, creating a structure of resentment and even hostility. It's also possible one partner is doing harmful stuff to the other that just can't be overlooked. When anger gets in the way of intimacy Firstly, check if there is something in your past that was triggered that made you angry. Writing it in a journal helps so you can eventually share it with your partner. Since anger is most likely a mechanism to feel powerful when one cannot express their more vulnerable, underlying emotions, it is crucial for partners on the other end of angry expressions to understand what emotions and factors are driving the anger. Expressing differences freely is important to a more positive outcome. What about make up sex? Some couples say they have sex when mad because it is a way of reconnecting and resolving their issues. Very often, sex is a way to release anger. But the more this dynamic builds up and the more the fighting becomes regular, then the angry sex is going to stop too. Yes, sex can be a release or a form of connecting, but over time, if what's behind it isn't dealt with, even that's going to drop out. Forgiveness and moving on How do you forgive and forget about the past? We need to see our partners wrestle with remorse and accountability in order to move forward. That's where healing would come from. You need to know why they did what they did and what to look out for in the future so you can both talk about it as it's coming up – before it happens again. You need to understand the why to figure out how to heal and grow and make the relationship better. Slam the Gavel welcomes a new guest, Gemma Bryant to the show. She is a stepmom to three beautiful children. She has experienced the family court system through her husband's custody battle and is here to share how stepparents are treated in the family court system. She shares her experience in order to help other parents and stepparents; assuring them they are not alone in their fight. Gemma also gave important tips on reading custody orders. She stresses the importance of this as a county can delete or change just a sentence which will affect the whole family and who has legal custody as well. Also, judges falsely apply the 16-factors to the "unfit" parent....It is also very important to show support as a court watcher to others going through custody hearings, Gemma explains, as good, fit parent need to know they have the support of others. She also touched upon the school districts where they will interfere when they shouldn't. Gemma explained how they had over-stepped their bounds with one of the child's lunches and that led to a CPS issue. Thankfully that was easily resolved. Making and keeping a commitment to your spouse during this stressful time is very important, Gemma stated as she watched her husband go through the family court system. You are now in it for, "the long haul." Gemma also touched upon the importance of understanding what it is supposed to mean to be a sincere advocate for families, discuss 50/50 custody, and about how children's voices are silenced, forcing to endure abusive environments. To reach Gemma: gemmaleebryant@hotmail.comSupport the show(https://www.buymeacoffee.com/maryannpetri)http://beentheregotout.com/https://monicaszymonik.mykajabi.com/Masterclass USE CODE SLAM THE GAVEL PODCAST FOR 10% OFF THE COURSEFor 2022 PA Retreat: For more information, contact co-organizers:Maryann Petri at maryannpetri3@gmail.com Ann O'Keeffe Rodgers at okeefferodgers@gmail.com http://www.dismantlingfamilycourtcorruption.com/Music by: mictechmusic@yahoo.comSupport the show (https://www.buymeacoffee.com/maryannpetri)

Parenting coordinator (PC) is a relatively new practice used in some US states to manage ongoing issues in high-conflict child custody and visitation cases by professional psychologist or a lawyer assigned by the Court. There are 10 states as of May 2011 that have passed legislation regarding parenting coordinators: Colorado (since 2005), Idaho (2002), Louisiana (2007), New Hampshire (2009), North Carolina (2005), Oklahoma (2001), Oregon (2002), Texas (2005), and Florida (2009). Legislation has been pending in Massachusetts for many years without significant progress. In September 2014, the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court addressed the issue of whether the trial judge had the power to appoint a parenting coordinator without consent of both parties and to give the parenting coordinator binding authority to decide all matters brought before her. The Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court ruled that the trial judge lacked the power to appoint the parenting coordinator without consent of both parties, and that the broad authority given to the parenting coordinator by the trial judge constituted "an unlawful delegation of judicial authority." Consequently, the Supreme Judicial Court vacated the appointment order. Concepts. The Parenting Coordinators are usually of two types: licensed professionals in a mental health or pastoral field of counseling, or attorneys who are in good standing with their state's Bar Association. The parenting coordinator usually meets with both parties regularly, receives day-to-day questions and complaints about any aspect of a party's conduct, and makes recommendations to the parties. These recommendations effectively become obligatory for parents to follow because the Parental Coordinator can later testify in court about the non-compliance. PC have extremely wide range of issues they can decide on parents' relations with their children, including but not limited to: In most of the states, there is a law required that court-ordered parenting plans must set forth the minimum amount of parenting time and access (i.e. supervised/unsupervised) a non-custodial parent is entitled to have. According to laws of many states and AFCC guidelines, the Parenting Coordinator cannot change the court order, only the minor changes or clarification of parenting time/access schedules or conditions including vacation, holidays, and temporary variation from the existing parenting plan is allowed. A PC can limit where parents can and cannot go during his/her daily routine with the child, and what activities are allowed. PCs can prevent parents from discussing certain topics with their children in their conversations. PCs can take complaints from either party about almost any subject of the other party's conduct during the past visit and make decisions the parties must abide by. For example, PCs can decide what sports kids will attend, what friends they can visit, what religious services to attend, what food parents can feed them and more. A PC can make decisions in cases when the parties do not agree on child non-urgent medical care. A PCs can decide when, where, and how the non-custodial parent's family and friends are allowed to see the children. A PC can report suspected child abuse to Child Protective Services; and many other issues that can be considered in the children's best interests. If either party does not agree with the PC recommendations, then he/she can file a motion with the court to make a decision on the disputed issue. Either party can also ask the court to appoint a new PC to the case but has to provide sufficient evidence to convince the court that valid reasons exist. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/law-school/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/law-school/support
Slam the Gavel proudly presents Attorney Connie Reguli from Tennessee on the show. Attorney Reguli has been an attorney for 27 years. She is the mother of three adopted children and knows first hand how challenging the Family Court can be, both legally and emotionally. Using her personal and professional experience to guide clients through their case, Attorney Reguli cares about what is happening to these families and children inside the courtrooms. Attorney Reguli has been very active in educating the Tennessee Legislature on their role in securing a judiciary that's fair, impartial and ACCOUNTABLE. After reviewing years of reports from the "Court of the Judiciary," and summarizing that information for the legislators, it became clear that this legal body does not fulfill its responsibilities in providing oversight for the state court judges. Speaking at several legislative hearings about the duty of the legislature, as laid out in the Tennessee Constitution, Attorney Reguli has spoken out on the impeachment and removal of judges that abuse their power. You can find her appearances posted and several new stories and hearings on YouTube under, "JudicialReformNow." Attorney Reguli also spoke before the Tennessee Senate in April 2010. She also has her own YouTube Channel, Connie Reguli. We talked about how important it is for clients to know the facts about their own case and to work with and help your attorney prepare your case. It is pitiful in a courtroom were judges and attorneys try to make your lawyer look stupid in a courtroom, it is a swamp of intellectual fraud. The Child Welfare system that is based on a perverted financial scheme based on tax dollars and falls by the wayside when Title IV-E/FosterCare money comes in to play, as monies come from the taxpayer's Social Security. The goal is to take your child out of your home. A system that is devastating to the Family that started in 1974 with The Mondale Act and over the next 20 years tax dollars flowed out to the states, giving it away to Foster Care. We talked about Family Advocates in the Child Welfare System and how a Family Advocate is needed as well as the training that is encompasses becoming a Family Advocate. Attorney Reguli recommends that the public know who their State Legislatures/Reps and Senators are and put them in your cell phone as a contact, as they work for you, what committees and what bills they have done. Look into the General Assembly and what committee handles Family Court and educate yourself. For parents, get your own personal story written down within one minute, three minutes and ten minute increments for presentation. Also, learn enough basic conversation about CPS and tell your story. Be willing to have that conversation several times a week to educate the public. Lastly, have an internal commitment in your heart that CHANGE must happen. Slam the Gavel welcomes guest, Dorcy Pruter on to the show! Dorcy is the founder and CEO of Conscious Co-Parenting Institute, a Dorcy Inc. Company. She is recognized as one of the top reunification specialists worldwide, and is also a certified master coach and family mediator. Through reunification coaching and co-parenting education, Dorcy provides strategies and solutions for parents and children to reconnect, and stay connected, during and after a high-conflict separation/divorce. Dorcy has created several different coaching programs that meet the family's needs depending on where they are at in the family court process, ultimately so the children can be free to have a relationship with both parents. We discussed several topics regarding child custody cases in the Family Court System, especially when there is an emotional and physical cutoff between one parent and the child. Much ground was covered as we also discussed what happens in a high-conflict family dynamic and a co-parenting dynamic and how that affects the child. Reunification is highly important while overcoming challenges and obstacles to move forward. However, ultimately the issue is how to solve and resolve this type of family dynamic and dysfunction. The Family Court system and mental health professionals are not helping parents get the services they need in order to repair a situation before it gets much worse. More education is needed within the court system, so families can begin to heal and a child can have both parents in their lives. To reach Dorcy Pruter: http://www.consciouscoparentinginstitute.com/clientcare@coparentinginstitute.comhttp://consciouscoparentinginstitute.com/Phone: 888-379-7279Support the show(https://www.buymeacoffee.com/maryannpetri)https://monicaszymonik.mykajabi.com/Masterclass USE CODE SLAM THE GAVEL PODCAST FOR 10% OFF THE COURSEhttp://www.dismantlingfamilycourtcorruption.com/Music by: mictechmusic@yahoo.comSupport the show (https://www.buymeacoffee.com/maryannpetri)
Slam the Gavel welcomes Darlene Orvieto, who is one of the leaders for the movement in Massachusetts discussing the extensive corruption in the judiciary and treatment of parents in the Family Court system. These parents have paid attorneys thousands of dollars for little to no outcome and have absolutely no recourse given how deep the corruption goes in the state. Darlene discussed a couple tragic cases and details of the basic injustice that happened within her own case. The challenge is with Judicial Immunity, the constant violation of rights including federal rights as well as bias and the violation of the Judicial Cannons. Eye-opening talk of how families and children have been abused by the Family Court system. Darlene has worked on exposing the mass corruption on Facebook and getting an army of parents together that have done research such as collecting lists of judges, GAL's, attorneys and Discovery Masters who see money in the courts that can increase the conflict. Parents also share their stories and offer emotional support. There is strength in numbers. Nine years of suffering through the Family Court System, Darlene herself a victim has seen a target parents being abused. Darlene encourages and discusses ways for parents to become proactive and to overcome their fears while starting to represent themselves. Parents are sick of judges giving custody to sexually abusive and emotionally abusive parents. The Family Wizard sponsors the AFCC and the public in general is not aware of this. They are also the cause of CPTSD, Anxiety and Depression. Judges should look further and not make assumptions. Their incompetence through exparte orders are granted to the emotionally abusive parent. Darlene explained that there are 52 parents abused by one judge alone. Are there questionable payoffs going on? But there are more. Darlene wants to see the judges do their jobs, she wants to see the Family Court Dismantled as it is an extortion racket. Darlene gives ways to report lawyers and judges such as therobingroom.com and badlawyer.org. She encourages Pro Se Litigants to do their best and Legal Sheild is available. Melissa Toon on Slam the Gavel is a survivor of domestic violence. She has a unique perspective due to an almost unbelievable personal experience in North Carolina and West Virginia that are related to coercive control and family court corruption. Melissa discusses how law enforcement is used as a tool of abuse and child abuse. There are also frequent encounters with fraud, bias, and injustice within the Family Law system. She is also the creator of surviving post separation abuse and parenting in context of coercive control on Facebook and Mamas in pursuit of happiness on YouTube. A self represented litigant who has empowered herself by supporting others with continuously increasing knowledge, previously unknown to the average pro se litigant. Melissa is also a mom who has been prevented from protecting her child while in the confines of the Family Court and Child protection systems. Formerly a Licensed Practical Nurse & Paralegal, she was sent to prison for her first offense as a result of acts of violence post separation from an abuser. We discussed a wealth of information regarding the lack of integrity related to Family Law attorneys and judges, Constitutional and Civil Rights Violation in the Family Court arena as well as the rights of litigants. The heart-breaking traumatic emotional states of mothers, domestic violence victims forced to coparent with their abuser which is capitalized upon by Family Court actors who continue the conflict by granting access of children to the abuser was discussed and the standard silver bullet in the Family Court proceedings is to intentionally engage in defamation the mother's character. There are numerous legal remedies available to these litigants, including having a jury trial for custody cases-intentionally not being disclosed by Family Court actors. Parents need to be aware of the Family Court judges who willfully instill fear in parents by threatening jail through gag orders as what happened to Melissa. She tells us what our response should be.To reach Melissa Toon: mamasmanifesting@gmail.comFacebook: Surviving Post Separation Abuse and Parenting in the Context of Coercive ControlPlease use COUPON CODE: Slam the Gavel for 10% off the course: https://monicaszymonik.mykajabi.com/Masterclasshttp://www.dismantlingfamilycourtcorruption.com/Music provided by: mictechmusic@yahoo.comSupport the show (https://www.buymeacoffee.com/maryannpetri)
On Slam the Gavel, guest, Jacqueline Pidanick is a Paralegal who studied at South Carolina University and studied law at Purdue. She also started the #beloud movement on Facebook six years ago to help parents navigate through the Family Court and shed light on the corruption that plagues the Family Courts that in turn destroys not only parents but children. Jacqueline states that children are not used cars and we as parents, representing ourselves must protect our children from abusers. She encourages parents to educate themselves on the Constitution of the United States and Case Law. The Black's Law Dictionary is an extremely helpful tool in learning the law as we encouraged parents to obtain a copy. When a parent arms themselves with the knowledge of the law, they build self confidence and in turn become a force to be reckoned with in a corrupt Family Court. Great conversation with Jacqueline about her own personal struggles, going to Purdue and her experiences in the courtroom. A true champion and a warrior for struggling parents, Jacqueline gives much encouragement to others to go on and fight for justice. To Reach out to Jacqueline Pidanick: Facebook #beloudhttp://www.dismantlingfamilycourtcorruption.com/Music provided by:mictechmusic@yahoo.comSupport the show (https://www.buymeacoffee.com/maryannpetri)
Monica Szymonik is a Certified Health Coach, ADA Advocate and has a background in digestive wellness, massage therapy and personal training. After being sued for sole custody of her son in 2010 and being forced into the infamous “every other weekend” parenting schedule, Monica's been coaching moms and dads as they navigate through the treacherous waters of the Family Law racket. She authored the book, “Broken System, Broken Heart” to help parents launch into self-care after a scarring custody battle. She believes that writing a book made her a much better Family Court warrior as she climbed the rungs of the legal system as a pro se parent. Aside from workshops, which help solve a specific problem, her 12-week signature course, The Best Interest of the Parent uses a 4-quadrant model to create a robust healing and empowerment system so that parents can use the best version of themselves to make it through the toughest journey they will ever take. Monica also discussed the 3 levels of trauma and how they all tie into the Natural Causes, Man-Made Causes and a parent trying to get help only to find themselves in a situation much worse than when they began. Discussing Karin Huffer's work and her books found on Amazon, "Unlocking Justice: The American's with Disabilities Act and its Amendments Act Protecting Persons with Disabilities in Court" and "Legal Abuse Syndrome: A Preventable Health Problem," was a major influence in Monica's work as well. You can learn more about Monica here: linktr.ee/legalabusecoach https://monicaszymonik.mykajabi.com/Masterclass https://facebook.com/groups/thebestinterestoftheparenthttps://www.amazon.com/Broken-System-Heart-Protecting-Aftermath/dp/1517707064/To Reach Monica: monica@momsunshackled.comhttp://www.dismantlingfamilycourtcorruption.com/Music provided by: mictechmusic.comSupport the show (https://www.buymeacoffee.com/maryannpetri)
Great conversation on Slam the Gavel with College Student, Izzy. He has studied economics and philosophy. Izzy enjoys politics, debate, rock-climbing and weight-lifting and has chosen in the field of Law as his future career. However, he is the son of a father with Narcissistic Personality Disorder. Izzy openly discussed when he first began to notice which parent was the emotionally healthier one as well as when he then figured out his father was emotionally unhealthy, a Narcissist. He talked about several incidents that led him to that conclusion. Is genetics involved? Can someone carry that type of genetics? Izzy answered it very eloquently. Izzy also mentioned the long-term effects that a person can experience as a young adult from growing up with a Narcissistic parent. We went on to talk a bout how this has affected his relationships with others. Talking about going into the field of Law, Izzy explained how disgusted he was with the Family Court System and what his family went through and saw that there was absolutely no accountability and also voiced what he really wanted to say to the judge that handled their case. Moving forward in his life, Izzy is aware that he will never have a normal relationship with his father and how he emotionally navigates through times that he does have with his father. Izzy offered helpful tips with parents who are raising kids with another toxic parent. Great advice from such a wonderful young man with so much insight.http://www.dismantlingfamilycourtcorruption.com/Music Provided by: mictechmusic@yahoo.com Support the show (https://www.buymeacoffee.com/maryannpetri)

Great to have Sheila back on Slam the Gavel as she describes her loss and sorrow over losing her daughter in a corrupt Family Court system and how her feelings affected her life and career. She discusses how these feelings affect men as well, as people suspect and judge a person based on an allegation and come to their own conclusions as to how a mother or father lost their child to the other parent. Sheila describes what it does to a mother's or father's psyche and it is a nightmare that you cannot wake up from. Parents feel isolated and ashamed as their own children are used as weapons against them. The Legal system continuously perpetuates the Parental Alienation that destroys Parents and Children. Sheila encourages parents with coping skills and tells us we have nothing to be ashamed of. As more new judges emerge, it may help as they are more open to the knowledge of Parental Alienation. Time will tell. More to come as Sheila will be back on the show in the future.dismantlingfamilycourtcorruption.comMusic provided by: mictechmusic@yahoo.com
Deanna Kloostra back on Slam the Gavel talks about several topics such as researching Parental Alienation Syndrome 15 years ago from Dr. Gardner who allegedly committed suicide. She talks about PAS and how it affects mothers and fathers. Revengeful Parent Syndrome Deanna discovered in December, is a Torture Technique used in court to run Mothers down in order to give the children to abusive Fathers. Along with our topics of discussion were Child Trafficking through the railroad and talked about the YouTube videos by Tim Ballard, who rescues children being trafficked. The rigors of Family Court were discussed as they quickly diagnose a Mother with Borderline Personality Disorder which then opens the door for the Father to take the children. There is no justice in the courtroom. It is in the best interest of their pockets and not the children. Deanna mentioned a website : https://www.torturetraumatherapy.com/post/michigan-torture-laws We are frustrated with the court system being rigged as the courts slowly break down the Mother to get custody of the children to hand over to the Father, however the courts will also conceal the children from the Father to get him to fight for custody if he is not trying to take children from the Mother. It's all to make more money for those working in the courts. Cheryl A. Kennedy discusses cases of corruption under Cuomo in NY and the need for National Security. Being that Kennedy is a Constitutionalist, Rights Activist and Whistleblower, she has been commenting for years on election fraud, fake news and fraud in foreclosures etc. She addressed the impartiality and unfairness of the corruption within the court system. Also discussed the Bar Association and it being questionably usurped by Britain with attorneys having an allegiance to Britain. Courts however, are making billions of dollars each year along with kickback scams in the legislature. Cheryl agrees the judiciary should be abiding by the Constitution, but it is not and feels it should be shut down. The judiciary is a mockery and so corrupt as there is no accountability. Even in the Thomas Valva case, Cheryl feels National Security should step in due to the corruption. Michael Volpe is back with a heated topic recently involving a 14 year-old ordered to live with her abuser as her mother is jailed. Soon after the judge recuses herself. No surprise, as on YouTube a video called, "St. Louis Family Court Corruption," shows where numerous Guardian ad Litems (GAL's) gather in a coven to conspire and collude together in a twisted story of court corruption involving another GAL. Another fly in the ointment evolves when 31 judges recuse themselves. All this is explained in this episode on Slam the Gavel. So much was talked about in reference to his book, "Prosecutor's Gone Wild," and RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act). Heated discussion on the usage and term of Parental Alienation came on to the scene as well with much debate. dismantlingfamilycourtcorruption.commusic provided by: mictechmusic@yahoo.com
**A word of caution--these conversations contains frank discussions of child sexual abuse and the effects of abuse.** This year, in recognition of DVAM, the Engendered Collective hosted a series of community conversations to bring greater awareness to domestic abuse and gender-based violence. Today's conversation deals with the intersection of domestic violence and systemic sexism and child abuse. Our guests included Anita, "Annabelle," "Courtney," and Roz. Anita Gera is a protective mom from Great Britain. In 2014, Anita went to the British police to seek protection when her abusive and controlling ex-husband, an American pilot, threatened to take their children from the UK without her permission. Over the next year, through her ex-husband's use of the Hague Convention, Anita's case brought her back to the USA and resulted in a divorce and custody decision that would dramatically change the course of Anita and her children's lives. She has not been able to see her children, now thirteen and fifteen years old, since August 2015. Anita doesn't know when she will be able to see her children again as she has neither the means nor resources to enforce her parenting time with her children and she fears that doing so would put them at greater risk of harm by their father who has now ceased all contact with her. "Annabelle" is a divorced Maryland mother who shares custody of two children living with abuse and coercive control. On their weeks with their father, her children have no phone access to their mother, their friends, or 911. They live in fear of having food withheld and of abuse under the guise of corporal punishment. "Courtney" is a survivor of domestic violence, the family law courts, child protection services and bankruptcy. A judge ordered unsupervised parenting when her son was three, even though he noted that there was a “preponderance of evidence” proving the father was not able to keep him safe. When in the father's care for a few hours at a time unsupervised, Courtney's son suffered more injuries, including concussions, repeated head and face bruises, lacerations, ER visits, rashes and swelling of his genitals and a red and swollen rectum. Despite multiple medical and mental health professionals filing child protection reports for suspected abuse, and court testimony by Courtney's son's therapist of her concerns about suspected sexual and physical abuse by the father - the father's testimony of a past child sex assault, the judge recently granted the unthinkable - extended, unsupervised, overnight visits. Courtney's goal of telling her story is to help mothers feel they are not alone because the support from protective Moms has given me the ability to continue to find strength and the most effective ways to help my child in a broken system. Roz Davidson is Director of The Positive Parenting Company Ltd and a National Consultant and a Trainer in the UK implementing the "Community Groups Programme" a therapeutic program for women and children recovering from domestic abuse. It is a child-focused piece of work with the Mother supporting the child and addresses self-blame, attachment, what is abuse, emotional regulation across themed sessions delivered over 12 weeks. You can learn more about the Community Groups Programme here. During our conversation, Anita, Annabelle, Courtney, and Roz and I touched upon the following resources: The definition of a "protective mother" Examples of #abusertactics, #signsofabuse, and #upstandertips Teri's post on the cultural history of "PAS" or "Parental Alienation Syndrome" as an abuser disinformation tactic to discredit victims' legitimate claims of abuse The AFCC and its complicity with enabling the abuser narrative of "PAS" through their codification and institutionalization of this nonscience and fact-based and discredited abuser disinformation tactic Examples from listeners of coercive control The role of "male supremacists"--the gender equivalent of "white supremacists," but often mischaracterized as "MRA" or "men's rights activists" The documentary, What Doesn't Kill Me, which addresses systemic gender bias against protective moms in family court The effects of trauma on protective moms and children exposed to abuse --- Thanks for tuning in to the en(gender)ed podcast! The Agri Food Comms-Cast (AFCC) unpicks the marketing and communications stories behind the issues facing the food and farming sector. In this episode, we explore a campaign that's promoting one of the most ambitious and important initiatives we've covered to date on this podcast, and how it's been so successful in getting children to eat their vegetables. Our host, Catherine Linch, speaks to Dan Parker, the founder of the Veg Power initiative, about how his celebrity-endorsed campaign has transitioned from a charitable, low-key concept to a huge commercial success and why it's changing the attitudes of the next generation in how they view and consume vegetables. We also welcome back Jack Ward from the British Growers Association, who featured on our very first AFCC episode. He explains what enticed him to get involved with the Veg Power initiative in its early stages, how it's evolved over the last two years and why it's been so effective in helping to change the face of British horticulture in the most positive way.

The Agri Food Comms-Cast, coined the ‘AFCC', delves into the ‘story behind the story' of PR and marketing campaigns surrounding the UK food and farming industry. In episode nine, we chat to Philip Case, news editor at Farmers Weekly to discuss their recent social media campaign to stimulate public support for farmers. The #feedthenation campaign has taken the industry by storm over the last few months as the pandemic focused all our minds on the importance of feeding our families well. Having more time to prepare meals from scratch meant we took the time to consider the origin of what we eat. The hashtag received engagement from across the supply chain and beyond, and demonstrated support from retailers, processors and government bodies, as well as farmers themselves. Then broadcast journalist, farmer's daughter and Just Farmers founder, Anna Jones defends mainstream programmes BBC Countryfile and Farming Today, asserting why clear and simple messaging counts. And finally, Anna gives examples of how media training is vital in upskilling farmers in communications techniques and building confidence in speaking to journalists.

This week we travel deeper into Texas culture and further and further away from our comfort zones to visit a Cowboy Church. We talk about the origins of the cowboy church movement and how they are often undercover denominational churches. We talk about why there is a big lack of racial diversity in said churches, and why niche marketing might be beneficial and detrimental. We talk about how all churches run the risk of narrowing the gospel to reach their particular market. So saddle up your horse and hit the happy trail with the Church Hoppers for another adventure (which, evidently, won't be the last one of its kind). For an OFFICIAL view of Cowboy Churches, visit the website of the American Fellowship of Cowboy Churches at americanfcc.org/CORRECTION: On the podcast, Joshua gave the URL of the AFCC as AFCC.org. This was in error and the actual website is americanfcc.org . Our apologies to the AFCC for any confusion.
