Join Sandra for a deeply comforting conversation with Purnima Sinha, a woman who bridges the gap between science and spirituality. Purnima comes from three generations of meditators in India and holds certificates in Lifestyle Medicine and Psychotherapy from the Harvard School of Medicine. She is also a respected figure in the afterlife community, having facilitated panels at IANDS (International Association for Near-Death Studies) conferences. Purnima applies this profound background to her work in hospitals, where she teaches meditation and helps patients make their final transition. In this episode, she opens up about the profound transition of her own mother. She shares the beautiful reality that her mother didn't just "leave"—she stayed. Purnima describes feeling her mother's physical presence lingering with her for six full months after her passing, a testament to the enduring bond of love. She also details the verifiable spiritual phenomena she witnessed, including the moment her father predicted the exact day her mother would cross over—days before it happened. If you are grieving or looking to deepen your own sensitivity to the Spirit World, Purnima's wisdom—backed by 50 years of practice and medical training—will bring you great peace. *Connect with Sandra Champlain: * Website (Free book by joining the 'Insiders Club, Free empowering Sunday Gatherings with medium demonstration, Mediumship Classes & more): http://wedontdie.com *Patreon (Early access, PDF of over 800 episodes & more): Visit https://www.patreon.com/wedontdieradio *Don't miss Sandra's #1 "Best of all things afterlife related" Podcast 'Shades of the Afterlife' at https://shadesoftheafterlife.com

How can we have a personal relationship with God, when we do all the talking? How can Christians talk honestly about heaven and the afterlife without oversimplifying or confusing people? And why does Scripture sometimes show God responding with judgment and other times with surprising mercy? Kaitlyn lets the grown ups have a turn asking their questions, and they don't disappoint! She tackle these questions and explores grief, repentance, mystery, and what it looks like to trust God's character when easy answers fall short. 0:00 - Theme Song 3:35 - Wanting to Hear From God 14:21 - Sponsor - Hiya Health - Go to https://www.hiyahealth.com/CURIOUSLY to receive 50% off your first order 16:31 - The Afterlife 21:50 - How Does God Respond to Evil? 34:22 - End Credits

In this moving episode, psychic medium Laura Lee, Marley connects with her late partner in a heartfelt spirit reading. Laura reveals powerful validations—dreams, familiar scents, cherished belongings, and unspoken words—that prove love continues beyond physical loss. Marley learns how her loved one communicates through signs, strengthens her natural clairaudient ability to hear him, and finds reassurance that he remains close to family milestones, including new births and celebrations. This conversation offers comfort for anyone struggling with grief, guilt, or unanswered questions after a loved one's passing. Laura reminds us that spirit communication is available to all of us if we open our hearts, trust the signs, and invite connection. (2025 Replay)

This is a reprise of my Epiphany 2019 show (2-33), just in time for Epiphany 2026. It relates the story of Christmas as told by the gospel of Matthew. In Matthew, the story is told from Joseph's point of view, not Mary's. Matthew has wise men, the infamous massacre of the innocents, and the flight to Egypt. No angels and no shepherds. He does not mention Mary's relative Elizabeth, and her son John the Baptist. If you read Matthew carefully, he says nothing of the day of Christmas, but he has a lot to say about the day of Epiphany, 6th January, the day the magi paid homage. I also introduce the Gospel of James, and the Infancy Gospel of Thomas.

Father Ron Rolheiser's new book Insane for the Light: A Spirituality for Our Wisdom Years, which is about how to grow old well and be fruitful, first giving your life away and then your death so as to be a blessing. That's a recipe for joy. We also talked about mysticism, St. John of the Cross, and some miraculous experiences in real people's lives that reveal God abiding and deep love, mercy, and patience with us all; that is truly the Good News of the Lord. I really, really enjoyed this book, and this conversation. Father Ron grew up in on a farm on Cactus Lake, Saskatchawan, on the Canadian prairie. He joined the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate in 1966 and was ordained to the priesthood in 1972; he has many degrees in theology and philosophy including a doctorate from the University of Louvain in 1983. He started writing a column, In Exile, over forty years ago, and has also written (by my count) sixteen books. He has been Provincial Superior of his order, worked in its administration in Rome for six years, and taught theology in a number of august institutions. He still goes home to Cactus Lake, especially for Christmas. We recorded this episode on December 9, 2025, the Feast of Our Lady of Gudalupe, and Juan Diego, and also the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. This will be our Christmas episode too and the last episode of 2025 and the first of the new liturgical year, so in keeping with our tradition I will play some Christmas Carols from Josh and Margot of the Great Space Coaster band with whom I was singing these carols last week. Join Sandra for a riveting conversation with Maureen Angelini, a former school principal who kept her spiritual abilities hidden for thirty years—until a profound moment at a friend's funeral changed everything. While kneeling at the casket of a friend who had died by suicide, Maureen heard a voice from the fog say, "I didn't know I would cause so much pain." That message shattered her fear, challenged her religious upbringing, and proved that suicide does not lead to "hell," but rather a state of deep reflection. In this episode, Maureen shares the incredible journey detailed in her new book, "Voices of Light." She reveals the channeled messages she received from souls who left the earth too soon—including four world-famous entertainers who came through to share their wisdom so we don't make the same mistakes. In this episode, we're joined by Oxford-trained philosopher and author Chris Carter to explore one of humanity's most enduring and controversial questions: Is there evidence of life after death? Drawing from his latest book, The Case for the Afterlife: Evidence of Life After Death, Carter argues that the survival of consciousness can be established beyond reasonable doubt through empirical evidence rather than faith alone. Our conversation ranges across research from the British and American Societies for Psychical Research, compelling cases of reincarnation involving children who remember previous lives, accounts of after-death communication, and examples of terminal lucidity. Along the way, we examine the philosophical distinction between reasonable and conceivable doubt, address the strongest skeptical objections, and consider the practical and existential implications of believing that consciousness continues beyond physical death. His latest book is The Case for the Afterlife: Evidence of Life After Death, which argues that the case for the afterlife can be proven beyond all reasonable doubt, entirely on the basis of evidence. 2:15 Book Description for The Case for the Afterlife: Evidence of Life After Death. 3:16 Tension between skepticism and belief, and what counts as sufficient evidence? 4:53 The most impressive research that Carter's book focuses on, comes from both the British and American Societies for Psychical Research. 7:14 Atheism, Doubt, and Convincing Deniers of the Existence of an Afterlife. 10:36 Reincarnation and Children Who Remember Previous Lives. 13:39 The amazing story of afterlife communication from Frederic Myers, one of the founding members of the British SPR, who died in 1901. Communication came from two different, unrelated mediums on two different continents. 18:05 Reasonable Doubt vs. Conceivable Doubt. "…the burden of proof, of providing evidence, is on the person making the claim." 24:02 The Practical Benefits of a Belief in an Afterlife. 28:36 If consciousness survives physical death, what is its form? The Etheric Body. 30:57 The Skeptic/Denier's Most Fundamental Objections. 36:24 Alzheimer's and Terminal Lucidity. 38:19 "The evidence is on our side. The evidence is not on the side of the materialists, so-called Skeptics. And there's no need to make excuses for our beliefs or even take refuge in the mysteries of faith. The evidence is strong and compelling, beyond all reasonable doubt, that we survive the change called death." 40:42 Get the book, visit Chris Carter's site at WhyRichardDawkinsIsWrong.com, and check out his essay, Can We Prove There Is Life After Death? 41:32 OUTRO 42:01 The Big Seance Podcast can be found right here, on Apple Podcasts, Pandora, Spotify, TuneIn Radio, Amazon Music, Audible, iHeart Radio, and YouTube. In 1932, Dr. William Amos Trivette opened a modern clinic in the rural farmlands of Hamptonville, North Carolina. His dream was to bring advanced medicine to his community—but just six years later, his untimely death closed the doors on that vision. Over the decades, the building became a supper club, a detox center, a nursing home, and even a nursery. Yet through every new chapter, the same question lingered: who—or what—never left? Today, the Trivette Clinic is one of North Carolina's most talked-about haunted locations. Visitors report phantom footsteps, doors that move on their own, icy cold spots, and the laughter of unseen children. Some say Dr. Trivette still walks the halls, joined by two little girls known as “Majesty” and “Nancy,” along with nurses and patients who never checked out. In this episode, I explore terminal lucidity, a little-known but well-documented phenomenon that occurs near the end of life. Terminal lucidity describes the sudden return of clear thinking, memory, communication, and personal awareness in people who were previously unable to show these abilities because of severe brain disease or injury. This can happen hours or days before death and has been reported in people with advanced dementia, long-term psychiatric illness, brain tumours, strokes, and serious brain damage. What makes terminal lucidity especially important is that it appears in individuals whose brains are believed to be physically incapable of producing normal consciousness. In many cases, the brain damage is extensive and has been present for years. Recovery is not expected. Yet the person may suddenly recognise loved ones, speak clearly, remember names and events, and show their usual personality again. In this episode, I examine terminal lucidity through the idea that consciousness may exist independently of the brain, with the brain acting as a receiver or filter rather than a generator. From this point of view, brain damage limits the expression of consciousness rather than destroying consciousness itself. As death approaches, the brain's normal control systems may weaken, briefly allowing clearer expression.I discuss the work of Christopher Kerr, a hospice doctor whose research shows that inner mental life often becomes more organised and meaningful as death approaches, even while the body and brain are failing. I also look at research by Peter Fenwick and Bruce Greyson, who have studied clear consciousness during severe brain impairment and near-death states.Using clear explanations and real case examples, this episode asks a challenging question: if consciousness can return when the brain is at its weakest, does this suggest that consciousness is not produced by the brain at all? https://www.pastliveshypnosis.co.uk/https://www.patreon.com/ourparanormalafterlifeMy book 'Verified Near Death Experiences' https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DXKRGDFP Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Join Sandra for a breathtaking conversation with Heather Vandermeyden, a woman who didn't just have one Near-Death Experience—she had a series of them. At just twenty years old, Heather faced a catastrophic medical crisis (ulcerative colitis, sepsis, and organ failure) that kept her in the ICU for three months. While her body withered away to 79 pounds and endured thirteen emergency surgeries, her spirit was busy traveling beyond the veil. In this episode, Heather details the more than twenty times she popped out of her body to escape the pain. She shares vivid descriptions of the "Ancient Healing Waters" that saved her liver, a visit to a Hall of Records (the Library), and a heartwarming reunion with her deceased grandmother and great-grandfather. She also describes seeing God stand in the doorway of the hospital room—a being of pure, non-judgmental love with vibrant blue eyes. Perhaps most miraculously, Heather describes meeting two specific children on the other side. Years later, unable to carry a pregnancy due to her surgeries, she fostered and adopted two children who matched the exact description of the souls she met in Heaven. Beautiful soul, this episode is for any woman navigating perimenopause, menopause, or feeling confused by the emotional, mental, and physical shifts happening in her body. Julie is joined by Dr. Mindy Pelz for a powerful, grounded conversation that reframes hormonal change not as something breaking down, but as an initiation into wisdom, clarity, and deeper self-trust. Together, they explore why symptoms like brain fog, anxiety, irritability, sleep disruption, and emotional intensity are not failures, but messages from the body asking to be listened to differently.
