These profiles will help us understand the court cards at a deeper level, especially if you often struggle to tell the court cards apart. Gabriel Hershman is an author who also publishes under the name of Daniel Kupfermann. He has written 5 books, so far. Four were film biographies and written under the name of Gabriel Hershman. He has also written a memoir called, Don't Be So Sensitive.“I decided to write the memoir under a pseudonym as a demarkation from my other work but also to shield the work from other living family members.I grew up in London and then moved to Portugal and then Bulgaria. Writing a memoir is always a work in progress and it was only when I'd finished the book that I realised I'd been dealing with 4 family members who had attended boarding school and the strange effects on their psyche."Questions for Gabriel:I would love for you to share how you got into writing. What drew you to write your autobiography? What was it like growing up? Could you please share some of your journey growing up?What was it like being a day pupil at a school where there were boarders? What did you make of boarding at that age?Could you please talk about highly sensitive people (HSP)? What is it? P.7Your step-father Gerard's experience of boarding school: He was “sent away” “despatched” “being kicked in the teeth.” P.24 “he'd been through a tough time at boarding school” P.83The physical, mental and emotional treatment you received from Gerard. What was it like growing up with an ex-boarder? P58 – “Gerard criticised me...” and would then.. P.59 “lose his temper.”Even though Gerard had had a tough time at boarding school (your mother saying that he'd had “an emotional hysterectomy”) why did he want to send you away to one? P.83As I was reading the book I could see many of Gerard's traits as symptoms of trauma/ boarding school syndrome: only interested in beautiful women/ weathy people, trying to curry favour with people. He had to win everytime. Very critical of you.Leaving you for most of the winter age 10 with your alcoholic half-brother age 20. How was that for you? P.88 (Your mother leaving the same age her mother died age 10 – P.94)Having no one to validate your feelings and left alone (P.134) How was that for you?The experiences of your half-brothers and your mother's at boarding school (P.144)Your experiences of Dulwich - “Dulwich was remarkably sink or swim.” P.151 Bullying P.160What other aspects are there to these single-sex 'elite' schools that are detrimental to development?Four members of your family went to boarding school and all became problem drinker. Could you please talk to that?Your debilitating speech problem. Where do you think that arose from? How do people find out more about your work and booksTo purchase his memoir: https://amzn.eu/d/gR05hc9To purchase his books on Amazon: https://amzn.eu/d/eTOwAHNTo connect with him on LinkedIn please visit: https://www.linkedin.com/in/gabriel-hershman-24955619/?originalSubdomain=bg--- Piers is an author and a men's transformational coach and therapist who works mainly with trauma, boarding school issues, addictions and relationship problems. Katrina is the author of the Book, "Juror #11 A Memoir of The Broken Justice System & Rising from the Trials of Life." Her book became a #1 new release in several categories when first published and went on to win a gold medal in the Non-Fiction Book Awards through the Non-Fiction Author's Association. The book then became a finalist in the category of Memoirs and Autobiographies through the International Book Awards. She was overwhelmed that God could use her story to inspire courage, selflessness, and steadfastness. After serving on the jury for a murder trial, she was charged with contempt of court and endured months of trauma, the threat of jail, and thousands of dollars in fines and legal fees. She is also an adoptive mother of children from trauma and an advocate for others without voices in society.   In this episode, Katrina and I will be talking about the secret of marriage, when she accepted Christ as her personal savior and why she made that decision. It's miserable having to follow someone who you have little respect for. They may be in a position of power or a role of leadership, and because of their role, you comply. But isn't it so much more enjoyable to follow someone who you admire, respect and feel they are worthy of being followed. A lack of self-awareness is a sure fire way to lose followers. When a leader expects things out of their people but they aren't leading by example, hypocrisy turns everyone sour and they do everything in their power to move on to someone they want to follow instead of have to follow. In this episode, Amy Mast walks us through a simple yet powerful leadership tool that allows leaders to look in the mirror in order to notice the tendencies and patterns that undermine their influence. Check out the Know Yourself To Lead Yourself Tool and let it do it's refining work on you.Order any of the GiANT books written by Steve Cockram and/or Jeremie Kubicek here:  BOOKSTo get more information about GiANT, check out our website: www.theleaderstoolkitpodcast.comWould you like to learn more about becoming a GiANT Catalyst? Grant 'Axe' Rawlinson is the human powered explorer and he recently posted on LinkedIn that he was speaking at an event in Singapore, talking about the need for organisations to become more exploratory in their journeys towards NetZero, versus waiting for all the data to make perfect decisions. According to Axe, it's time to get out there and start experimenting, embracing the unknown.I wanted to understand more about his thinking, so we had a wonderful conversation about the importance of being exploratory in solving the biggest challenges we face to achieve NetZero. We talked about so much more, including the adventures he's already undertaken (these are extreme challenges very few people have the courage to undertake), as well as what's coming up next, on his boat called “Little Donkey.” Finally, I found it very insightful to hear that most of the clients he works with are interested in one thing: how he dealt with failure and literally got back in the water, especially as he's talking about his experiences in one of the world's most dangerous and unpredictable oceans. A great conversation, worth listening too and sure to inspire. We need to take massive risks, there is no data to show the path, failure must be embraced and it's time to adopt an explorers mindset and get to work. To get in touch with GrantCheck out Grant's Website for more stories Motivational Speaker Singapore | Powerful Humans | Grant 'Axe' Rawlinson (powerful-humans.com)He's here on LinkedIn https://www.linkedin.com/in/grantrawlinson/ His book From Peak to Peak: The Story of the First Human-Powered Journey from the Summit of Mt Ruapehu in New Zealand to the Summit of Aoraki/ Mount Cook : Rawlinson, Grant: Amazon.sg: BooksTo get in touch with me, Andrea EdwardsWebsites https://andreatedwards.com/ and https://uncommon-courage.com/ My book Uncommon Courage, An Invitation mybook.to/UncommonCourageAnd the workbook mybook.to/UncommonCourageActionAnd my Facebook Group Uncommon Courage https://www.facebook.com/groups/442905877003333
