His early works included starring roles in the films Stuart Little, Stuart Little 2, Like Mike, and The Little Vampire as well as series-regular roles on The Jeff Foxworthy Show and Meego. Before the time Jonathan was ten his films had grossed nearly three-quarters of a billion dollars at the box office. Jonathan has not only been a success with audiences, but with critics as well; receiving awards from the Broadcast Film Critics Association, The Young Artist Awards, and The Young Star Awards. After enjoying fame at such a young age Jonathan made the personal decision leave the lime-light and pursue life as a "normal" teenager. Jonathan attended public school in his hometown and enjoyed all of the little things many teens take for granted, such as prom, playing on the water polo team, and graduating with all of his friends. However, Jonathan's love of acting could not be suppressed for long. Jonathan guest starred on several hit television shows throughout his teens, including Monk, Family Guy, and Glen Martin DDS. He was also cast in the lead of the award-winning indie When Zachary Beaver Came to Town. Lipnicki recently completed lead roles in the horror-thriller motion picture Broil, and the comedy-drama motion picture Pooling To Paradise opposite Taryn Manning and Jordan Carlos. He also guest-starred in Antoine Fuqua's The Resident. Off screen Jonathan is an avid Brazilian Jiu-jitsu practitioner and trains at a blue belt level. Jonathan polishes his acting skills at the legendary Playhouse West under the tutelage of one of the industry's most highly decorated instructors, Robert Carnegie.

Rachel Winter radiates with warmth and wholeheartedness. While we joke that her lighting during the interview was less than ideal, it wasn’t enough to dim her inner glow. She is the Academy Award®-nominated producer of the acclaimed film “Dallas Buyers Club.” Based on a true story, the powerful film earned six Academy Award® nominations including best picture, winning three of them including lead actor for Matthew McConaughey and supporting actor for Jared Leto.  The film also received accolades from the Producers Guild of America, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s Golden Globe Awards and the Broadcast Film Critics Association’s Critics Choice Awards.   Rachel also happens to be married to Terence Winter, the Emmy-winning creator of “Boardwalk Empire,” Emmy-winning exec producer of “The Sopranos” and Oscar-nominated writer of “The Wolf of Wall Street.”  She produced the feature film “Krystal”, directed by William H. Macy.  The dramedy follows a young man who has never had a drink in his life who, upon meeting the woman of his dreams - an ex-hooker-stripper-junkie-alcoholic, pretends to be in AA in an attempt to try and woo her.  The film stars Rosario Dawson, Macy, Kathy Bates, Felicity Huffman, and Ti.  Before that, Winter produced the indie drama “Stealing Cars,” inspired by the true events associated with a tragic car accident that sends a rebellious teen spiraling downward into the grim injustice of the juvenile penal system. The film premiered at the Los Angeles Film Festival and earned the festival’s Zeitgeist Award and was released by Sony Worldwide. Winter has several project in development including the untitled LeBron James biopic for Universal, which she will produce with LeBron James and Maverick Carter, and a feature based on the life of daredevil motorcycle icon Evel Knievel at Paramount written by William Monahan (Academy Award winning writer of “The Departed”) with Leonardo DiCaprio attached to star.  She is also producing “The Chameleon” which is set up at Netflix with Christopher MacQuarrie attached to direct a script by Terence Winter and Carl Capotorto.  Her previous film credits include “Brooklyn Rules,” “Wayward Son,” “Bury Me in Kern County” and “The Lather Effect.” On the television side, Winter has projects set up at A&E Studios, FX and Disney. This week, we hear about her humble beginnings via a hilarious Hollywood story that involves soft core porn. She gives a candid look into how challenging it was to juggle being a mom during producing on Dallas Buyers Club, and what actually happens to a producer after your film receives six Academy Award nominations and wins three. Oh, and aside from being a badass she’s also one half of a power couple. her husband is Terence Winter, Emmy-winning creator of “Boardwalk Empire,” Emmy-winning exec producer of “The Sopranos” and Oscar-nominated writer of “The Wolf of Wall Street,”  NO. BIG. DEAL. Her love and passion for producing, for story, reminded me to stay the course on a day when I really, really needed to hear it. She’s funny, kind, and charming. Yes, I have a crush on her. "After all, Ginger Rogers did everything that Fred Astaire did. She just did it backwards and in high heels..." - Ann Richards Women have been instrumental in the success of American cinema since its very beginning. One of the first people to ever pick up a motion picture camera was a woman. As was the first screenwriter to win two Academy Awards, the inventor of the boom microphone and the first person to be credited with the title Film Editor. Throughout the entire history of Hollywood women have been revolutionizing, innovating, and shaping how we make movies. Yet their stories are rarely shared. This is what film reporter Alicia Malone wants to change. "Backwards and in Heels" tells the history of women in film in a different way, with stories about incredible ladies who made their mark throughout each era of Hollywood. From the first women directors, to the iconic movie stars, and present day activists. Each of these stories are inspiring in the accomplishments of women, and they also highlight the specific obstacles women have had to face. "Backwards and in Heels" combines research and exclusive interviews with influential women and men working in Hollywood today, such as Geena Davis, J.J. Abrams, Ava DuVernay, Octavia Spencer, America Ferrera, Paul Feig, Todd Fisher and many more, as well as film professors, historians and experts. Think of Backwards and in Heels as a guidebook, your entry into the complex world of women in film. Join Alicia Malone as she champions Hollywood women of the past and present, and looks to the future with the hopes of leveling out the playing field. Alicia Malone is a film reporter, host, writer and self-confessed movie geek. She first gained notice hosting movie-centric shows and reviewing films in her native Australia, before making the leap to Los Angeles in 2011. Since then, Alicia has appeared on CNN, the Today show, MSNBC, NPR and many more as a film expert. Currently, she is a host on FilmStruck, a cinephile subscription streaming service run by the Criterion Collection and Turner Classic Movies, and she is the creator and host of the weekly show, Indie Movie Guide on Fandango. Alicia is passionate about classic films, independent movies and supporting women in film. In 2015, Alicia gave a TEDx talk about the lack of women working in film and why this is important to change. In 2017, she was invited to give a second TEDx talk, where she spoke about the hidden stories of the earliest women working in Hollywood. Alicia has also spoken at conferences around America, and because of this, was named of one the 100 Worthy Women of 2016. Alicia has traveled the world to cover the BAFTAs, the Oscars, the Cannes Film Festival, Toronto Film Festival, Sundance Film Festival, Telluride Film Festival and SXSW. She is a member of the Broadcast Film Critics Association, and over the years has interviewed hundreds of movie stars and filmmakers. She also wrote this bio, but knew it would sound way less egotistical if written in third person. Maude Garrett has spent over a decade as a host on all forms of media including television, radio and digital on an array of shows, but she tries her hardest to keep creating content about her favorite topic: geekdom, founding Geek Bomb back in 2012. HSAY 017 - Christian Toto - Award-Winning Journalist | Movie Critic | Podcast Host   Background:   “Journalism is either changing or collapsing depending on your view”   I'm an award-winning journalist, member of the Broadcast Film Critics Association and founder of HiT. I studied art in college and, after collecting three degrees, realized I had a brighter future away from my pad and pencil. I eventually landed a feature writing position with the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, where I asked to review movies when our regular critic went on vacation. I essentially did the same while working for The Washington Times, volunteering to pen any entertainment story I could in between my regular assignments. I finally emerged as one of the newspaper's regular film critics, reviewing movies and interviewing A-list talent like Tom Hanks, Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Spacey. I left D.C. for Denver in 2007, transitioning to a freelance career  I later found work with both Breitbart News and LifeZette.com before embracing my HiT duties full-time. I can be heard each week on “Mike Rosen at the Movies,” “The Michael Brown Show,” “Garrison,” “Haus Rules” and “Walker Daniels in the Morning.” I previously appeared on “Stossel,” shown on the Fox Business Channel and the “Devil's Advocate” program on Colorado's PBS station. Highlights:   Art major in college who went into journalism Journalism is either changing or collapsing depending on your view Wanted to cover entertainment from a right of center perspective Realized there wasn't really anyone covering entertainment from this perspective Worked for Breitbart and Lifeset Created Hollywoodintoto.com First social media he got involved with was Facebook Is political on his business page because that he part of his brand and part of who he is Conservative entertainment reporter-- but he doesn't want to be vicious or irresponsible He tries to project his brand in a specific way-- i.e. no profanity, making fun of actors weight, etc. He wants his followers to trust him- know that he won't make up things because of his worldview Wants to be credible-- might have made mistakes but never on purpose, and they are always updated with an editor's note Wants to make sure everything is verified before reporting Social media is a great tool, but it can also do a lot of damage if you aren't careful Always try to pause before sending something out Think before you tweet, retweet, or post because these posts can have consequences and repercussions Is what you are posting going to provide value to your followers? Entertainment is culture It is good to stand up for what you believe as long as you can back it up with solid information Staying uplifting on social media can be good for a brand Being consistent and staying above the fray as well as adding value are very important We are more social because of social media but also hard to really know who these followers/people on social media are However there is level of discourse on social media that has gotten sour People can really show a different side on social media-- allows us to be nastier then who we are There is this barrier that allows people to say things that they wouldn't in person Resources: Hollywood in Toto: http://www.hollywoodintoto.com/   Hollywood in Toto Podcast The Franchise podcast Midnight Movie Cowboys Podcast Entrepreneur on Fire Podcast The Smart Pass of Income Podcast Social Media Examiner podcast Marketing in Your Car podcast Connect: Hollywood in Toto: http://www.hollywoodintoto.com/ Twitter: @HollywoodinToto Facebook: Hollywood in Toto Hollywood in Toto Podcast I hope you enjoyed and found value on this episode of The How Social Are You Podcast please feel free to share it on social media with your followers.
