Joey T McFadden joins Josh to discuss the new strategy Governor Gavin Newsom, and other Democrats seem to be using in an attempt to win back key voter demographics that they lost in the last election. With the start of his new podcast with his conservative guests, Governor Newsome plans to win them back by embracing long form podcasts, engaging in conversations to find common ground with conservatives, and pivoting away from unpopular woke cultural policies. Today, the Two Mikes were fortunate to host the return of Tom deSabla, an eloquent Libertarian and a talented economist. We discussed the economic troubles that President Trump is inheriting and the problems -- economic and political – his administration will face in trying to solve them. The first problem, obviously, is the federal deficit, which has tripled since 2001. This problem has become much greater because of the fires – (man-made?) in Los Angeles. This week's estimates suggest that it will cost at least $275 billion of the taxpayer's money. Americans have always been profoundly generous in supporting their fellow citizens affected by natural disasters. But this time the relief money needed is unprecedented, and in this case Trump faces not only the deficit problem, but the political and, perhaps, moral issues. The Trump government must identify where the funds will come, and, as important, must arrange a means to deliver the enormous aid required in a way that ensures it is used only to rebuild the burned-out parts of the city. Whether or not the fires were intentionally started, Governor Newsome's government has definitively proven itself to be a thoroughly profligate, amateurish, and authoritarian organization, and as being incapable of doing even the most necessary of governmental, suppressing crime, providing useful education rather than leftist indoctrination, and, most obviously, making the state's invaluable forest resources as safe as possible from wildfires. It would be madness for Trump's government to put $275 million into the hands of Newsome and his gang unless arrangements are for a strict oversight mechanism that ensures the taxpayers' money is spent for the purposes for which it is intended, and not for the leftist ruination of California which all Americans have been watching Newsome, his party, and their extreme leftist bureaucracy are conducting in the state. A second major problem for Trump's government is to reestablish the reputation of the United States as a fair and a non-war-seeking republic. That of course does not mean that America does not protect itself and its genuine national interests. It means that in order to live in a world where America is less detested, Washington must curtail – preferably stop -- interventionist wars, unending sanctions, entangling, useless, and expensive alliances like NATO and the UN, and the overthrowing of legally elected governments. Simply put, the economic world that American leaders built after 1945 no longer exists, and the United States itself is far more disliked – even hated – in the world than ever before. Indeed, the world as a whole recognizes that the U.S. government that the threat posed by China to many areas of the world has been the product of the United States insisting that China be admitted to the World Trade Organization (WTO), with the status of a still “developing country”. After spending seventy years learning how to crush a militarist, murderous, and expansionist USSR, America and many of its Western allies pretended the Cold War never existed and happily enabled China to become a deadly Communist powerhouse on the back of U.S. and Western economic investment.Follow Two Mikes on Pickax: https://pickax.com/twomikesFollow Freedom First Network on Pickax at https://pickax.com/freedomfirstnetElevate your meals with Freedom First Beef… even if you find yourself in the middle of the apocalypse! Today's show opens with Kash Patel suggesting subpoena's need to be issued to the company where Judge Juan Merchan's daughter works to see if any money was being made illegally by leveraging the hush-money payments trial. When in doubt, follow the money. It's nice hear that Victor Davis Hanson sees the California wildfire situation very similar to how we've been discussing it here on the show. He liken Governor Newsome to Nero, playing his fiddle while the city burns. We then go to a bald-faced lie told this past Sunday by Gov. Newsome on Meet the Press. He wants us to believe all of the reservoirs were full. Similarly, the Designated Liar, Adam “Lying Piece of” Schiff, went on ABC and was much more clever with his lies about the reservoirs. Independent journalists with The Free Press looked into the Santa Ynez Reservoir and discovered it has been empty since February of 2024. We have an insight into why that is, thanks to a radio interview Water Chief Janisse Quinones gave to KBLA radio. For her, equity and social justice are their primary goals. Having water available didn't make her list of priorities. Continuing with the mismanagement theme, a local rancher shot video of all the dead wood and felled trees that are a tinderbox waiting to happen. And, it would be because of climate change. In fact, Michael Shellenberger interviews Jon Keeley, a US Geological Survey scientist who says the issues have zero to do with climate. Even Jillian Michaels points out, Every bit of this is incompetence, mismanagement and worse. We then move to FBI Director Christopher Wray's interview on 60 Minutes, where he admits China is an unsolved foe. I guess they should have been more focused on actual threats rather than persecuting parents at school board meetings. Leslie Stahl beclowned herself as well, something she is tremendously gifted at doing. She tried to get Jamie Diamond to turn on Trump. She tried it three times and was rebuffed every time. Finally, Donald Trump said he will tell us about the drones within a day of taking office. He said it's a travesty that the current administration has been silent and done nothing. John is not happy with silly and out of tune Governors. Jerry Brown? Yes! Governor Newsome? Yes! Plus...your calls.
President-Elect Donald Trump accused Governor Gavin Newsome of Ruining California. Newsome has called for a special session of the State Legislature to prepare to block any Trump Administration Proposals that might be harmful to California. Governor Newsome call it "Trump-Proofing." Trump is not amused. But California will rely on what is called the “anti-commandeering” principle: the federal government cannot force states to adopt regulations or administer federal mandates. The Supreme Court used this principle to hold that the federal government could not force state and local governments to conduct background checks before issuing permits for firearms. In the meantime, Federal Workers are anxious and worried about layoffs and transfers once Trump is sworn into office. Papa Che has been Pastor of Harvest Rock in Pasadena, CA for over 30 years. He recently found himself suing Governor Newsome when Newsome threatened to arrest Che for not closing his church during the COVID lockdowns, and fining his people while allowing strip clubs, and other businesses to remain open and essential, but not the church. After winning a Supreme Court victory in 2021, Papa Che continues to boldly and gracefully speak out against the evil of our day calling the church into revival and reformation. 1Hope4America https://www.1hope4america.com/ Tom Crandall https://www.tomcrandall.com/ Che Ahn https://www.cheahn.org/

In today's episode, Teresa gives her annual Legal Update for changes happening on January 1, 2024. Out of the 1,046 bills sent to Governor Newsome for signature, 890 were signed and 156 were vetoed. 80 employment-related bills were signed with 26 vetoed. All bills, except those designated as emergency measures or as otherwise noted, take effect January 1, 2024. Legal Update Topics Discussed Today: Minimum Wage Increases - The minimum wage in California will increase to $16.00 an hour. (Review the UC Berkeley Labor Center's detailed list of local minimum wage ordinances for additional guidance.) AB 2188 Discrimination in Employment: Use of Cannabis (Chapters 2 and 5) - AB 2188 makes it unlawful for an employer to discriminate in hiring, termination, or any term or condition of employment, or otherwise penalize an individual if the discrimination is based on the individual's use of cannabis off the job and away from the workplace. SB 700 – Employment Discrimination: Cannabis Use (Chapters 2 and 5) - SB 700 expands existing lawful use of cannabis outside the workplace by making it unlawful for an employer to take any adverse employment action (i.e., take any action that would negatively impact the employee's terms or conditions of employment) against an employee for off-duty cannabis use. Fair Chance Act (Ban the Box) Regulation Update (Chapter 2) - The California Office of Administrative Law approved amendments to the California Fair Chance Act regulations, as proposed by the California Civil Rights Council. These changes impact employers with five or more employees and involve inquiries into an applicant's criminal history before a job offer or in other subsequent employment decisions (e.g., promotion, training, discipline, layoff, and termination) and the criminal history of current employees. SB 497 – Protected Employee Conduct (The Equal Pay and Anti-Retaliation Protection Act) (Chapter 4) - SB 497 amends various sections of the Labor Code by creating a rebuttable presumption in favor of an employee's claim of retaliation if the employer takes any adverse action against the individual within 90 days of the employee's having engaged in protected activity. SB 616 – Sick Days: Paid Sick Days Accrual and Use (Chapters 4 and 5) - SB 616 amends the Healthy Workplace, Healthy Families Act of 2014 (HWHFA) by increasing accrual/frontloading paid sick leave mandates from 24 hours (3 days) to 40 hours (5 days) and increasing cap amounts to 80 hours. SB 848 - Leave for Reproductive Loss (Chapter 5) - SB 848 makes it unlawful for a covered employer to refuse to grant Reproductive Leave (“Leave”) following a miscarriage, failed surrogacy, stillbirth, unsuccessful “assisted reproduction” (i.e., artificial insemination or embryo transfer), or failed adoption. SB 553 – Workplace Violence: Restraining Orders and Workplace Violence Prevention Plan (Chapter 7) - This law takes effect July 1, 2024 - SB 553 requires covered employers in California to; develop and implement a workplace violence prevention plan that meets the law's specific standards; maintain a violent incident log to record any violent workplace incidents or threats; provide comprehensive training to all employees on workplace violence prevention; and keep records related to the workplace violence prevention plan to ensure compliance. Maintain these records for at least five years and produce them to Cal/OSHA upon request. California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (CPRA) (Chapter 5) - The CPRA became effective January 1, 2023. However, regulatory enforcement is stayed until March 29, 2024 - Current employer exemptions in the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA) were eliminated in accordance with the CPRA when it became effective January 1, 2023. Elk Fence Distillery co-owners Scott Woodson and Gail Coppinger join Steve Jaxon and Herlinda Heras on Brew Ha Ha. The Elk Fence Distillery is a recently opened small-batch craft distillery that makes American single-malt whiskey, botanical gin and vodka. It has the distinction of being the only distillery located in the city of Santa Rosa, California. Juniper, coriander, tangerine and grapefruit all go into the botanical gin. They were supposed to open on March 14, 2020, the day that the state closed down for Covid. The Drive was on the air that day when Governor Newsome made the announcement. They had a party ready for 600 people that they had to cancel. Real Kentucky and Pennsylvania Learnin' They actually went to Kentucky and Pennsylvania to learn how to distill. The guy who made their equipment directed them to two schools where he knew they would learn how to operate his equipment. The gin ages in new American white oak barrels. It looks like a Sauvignon Blanc. Scott calls it Christmas in a glass. Their tasting room is at 464 Kenwood Court in Santa Rosa, open from 11am-4pm Fridays and Saturdays. It's across from Lithia Dodge, close to the studio. Their product is also in Bottle Barn, Wilibee's, Oliver's (soon) , Grossman's and Perch and Plow. The name Elk Fence comes from where they grow their barley, near a fence that separates 300 elk from all the dairy farmers out in Marin County where they live. Scott lives in Inverness and Gail lives in Point Reyes. Shorty's Bunkhouse on KWMR Gail also does a radio show on KWMR a listener-supported community station, on alternating Thursdays, 6:30pm–8:30pm. The show's name is Shorty's Bunkhouse and she plays bluegrass, americana and more. Check out the sample 2-hour show on her show's website. She started on the radio in 1997. Their signal is strong and can be heard in Sonoma County too. Steve Jaxon knows that station and likes it. He heard Robert Earl Keen playing Merry Christmas from the Family for the first time and they realize it was on her show.. Next they taste the American single-malt whiskey. They won a silver medal this year for this at the American Distilling Institute. The American distilling Institute founder is Bill Owens. (He is also the man who took a famous picture of violence at the ill-fated Rolling Stones concert at Altamont.) Next they shake up a cocktail called The Entitled Housewife, named after Becky Robinson, a performer that Herlinda also knows. Scott's original cocktail is made with their Golden Own barrel aged gin, Mr. Black coffee, some pecan liqueur, and club soda. Scott and Gail are Elks and Herlinda is a Moose and may become an Elk now. The Elks Club of Petaluma should come to Elk Fence and elk it up.

The bad news is that it will not include Edgar Allen Poe. The Ukraine War is still going on. And on. And on. And on. And. on. And more money. And more money. And more money. Marching Bands versus police tasers and New York City is having a problem with infectious disease, including... Ebola???? Governor Newsome vetoed a bill that everybody expected him to sign. The only real question is whether or not he is telling the truth about why he did so? All that and more this week, on an erev Yom Kippur episode of What the Frock!

In this week's study, I continue in Chapter 14 beginning with verse 2. Also I go in a rant over the new middle school which promotes LGBT only students.Fox News network sending money to the LGBT agenda as well to the Satanic whistleblower per whistleblower.Governor Newsome taking Scripture out of context to promote his abortion stanceThe Fifth Vision "In Heaven"14:1-5. The Lamb and the 144,000. The Fifth Vision in heaven is very brief. It is another Episode, telling us of those who will have come through the great Tribulation, and have been caught up to Heaven.It is part of the larger Episode, and is parenthetical. The previous vision on Earth has told us of those who were slain because they refused to worship the Beast or receive his mark. Those who were for death, had been killed; and those who were to be kept alive, have been kept alive (13:10). The worshippers of the Beast received his mark; and those who refused to take the mark of the beast, BUT received the mark of the Lamb (Yahshua Messiah) and of His Father in their foreheads. This seems to point to the 144,000 sealed ones, of whose sealing we read in chapter 7. They had passed unharmed through the judgments of Yahweh, and through the persecutions of the Beast.Remember as we start this Chapter that as Christians, we have that Seal of Yahweh within us (Rev. 9:4). So keep your utmost faith in Yahweh and know His Word. Don't listen to man's tradition, but Yahweh's true Word! “Know His Word personally on the earth”In our last study we began this Chapter 14 with John now in his 5TH Vision which takes place in heaven. There John sees the Lamb and the 144,000 with the Father's Name written in their foreheads.In the second verse we have the Heavenly voices and the singers. This again shows the Vision to be in Heaven.So the lamb was standing on Mount Zion, we read. And we also see that with him is the 144,000 having his name and the name of his Father written on their foreheads.2. And I heard a voice from heaven = Showing that the scene is laid in heaven, but that John in the vision was on the earth.As the voice of many waters = As the sound of the ocean, or of a mighty waterfall. That is, it was so loud that it could be heard from heaven to earth. . Other words “People” as in Rev. 1:15, 19:6As the voice of a great thunder = As the loud sound of thunder.And I heard the voice of harpers = In heaven:Harping with their harps = Playing on their harps.3. sung = Greek, “sing.”new song = (Rev. 5:9, 10). The song is that of victory after conflict with the dragon, beast, and false prophet: never sung before, for such a conflict had never been fought before; therefore newfour beasts = rather, as Greek, “four living creatures.”144,000 = That only the 144,000 Jews could learn this song suggests that the particular praise expressed in this new song is specific to them. redeemed = literally, “purchasedDon't end up like those in Hosea 4:6 ‘My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God (Elohim), I will also forget thy children.'But, be like those in 2Timothy 2:15 ‘Study to shew thyself approved unto God (Yahweh), a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.' Former California State Assembly Member and now Political Strategist, Mike Roos is the focus for the brothers Kabateck in this episode. From current issues and concerns for the state regarding the Democratic party and the lack of presence of the Republican party, to his perspective on whether Governor Newsome will run for President, Mike is very candid in his comments. A little reflection on his time at the Capitol reveals some missteps the state may have made as a bit of the conversation addresses term limits and their effects years later. (Hint: not good.) Mike is a consummate gentlemen as he addresses so many other topics and the brothers, Brian and John , even bask in some of the glow of his praise of them. Learn a little more about the man, not the politician in "fast questions" for a few more surprises.
It's Monday, September 26th, A.D. 2022. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Muslims kill nun in Mozambique, Africa On September 16, a group of ISIS-affiliated Muslim militants stormed a Catholic mission compound in the city of Chipene in Mozambique, Africa, reports International Christian Concern. The gunmen set fire to the church, the hospital, and the schools there. While most of the nuns and other inhabitants were able to flee, one woman, an Italian nun named Maria De Coppi, was fatally shot in the head as she ran towards a dormitory where it is believed that students were hiding. She was 83 years old and spent 59 years serving the people of Mozambique, a country in Southeast Africa. Mozambique is the 41st most dangerous country in the world for Christians, according to Open Doors. Texas judge clears way for 8-year-old boy to be castrated Last Thursday, a Texas mother, Anne Georgulas, who intends to “transition” her 8-year-old son, James, into a girl named “Luna,” won in court, reports the “Save James” Facebook page. The Facebook page reported that, “The judge has ruled against Jeff Younger, [the father], as expected. James and Jude, [his twin brother], are lost. “A small hearing over Zoom was all Judge Mary Brown of the 301st District Court [in Dallas] needed to remove a father from his children's lives, a hearing that the public was not given access to which goes against Texas law. “Jeff [Younger, the father,] has almost no access to any information about the boys. It's almost as if he is not their father at all.” In a September 13th post, “Save James” reported that “Anne [Georgulas, the mother] stated she wants to take Jeff [Younger]'s boys to California where child sterilization is legal.” In August 2021, Judge Brown granted full custody of eight-year-old James Younger to his mother. Not surprisingly, Georgulas' announced retirement date, September 30th, coincides with the likely date of California Democratic Governor Gavin Newsome's signature of “the transgender state of refuge” bill into law, allowing her to chemically castrate her 8-year-old son James. John 3:20 says, “For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light lest his deeds be exposed.” CA legislature greenlights radical “transgender state of refuge” bill On August 29th, the California legislature passed the radical so-called “trans state of refuge bill,” or Senate Bill 107, which has alarmed parents nationwide. It's now sitting on the desk of California Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom who is likely to sign it by September 30th. Introduced by Democratic State Sen. Scott Wiener, a self-professed homosexual, this bill aims to make the state of California a “refuge” for transgender surgeries for children from across America, reports The Washington Stand. According to Wiener's press release, “If these parents and their kids come to California, the legislation will help protect them from having their kids taken away from them or from being criminally prosecuted for supporting their trans kids' access to healthcare.” The bill would allow minors to obtain procedures such as puberty blockers, hormones, and gender transition surgeries, which several states are restricting or banning altogether. Parenthetically, Senator Wiener wants to make drag queen shows mandatory for schoolkids and previously introduced a bill to let judges exempt some homosexual pedophiles from the sex offender registry. In a September 20th letter, signed by 50 conservative groups including Alliance Defending Freedom and Family Research Council, they urged Governor Newsom to veto Senate Bill 107. They wrote, “We are writing to respectfully request that you veto SB 107, a dangerous piece of legislation which ignores the established authority of the other 49 states, and also violates the fundamental rights of parents while increasing the risk of irreversible harm to America's children.” Check out a special link in our transcript today at www.TheWorldview.com to watch an interview with Jonathan Keller, President of California Family Policy, who describes Senate Bill 107 in greater depth. CA Governor's pro-abortion billboards that invoke the Bible Last Thursday, Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom announced his state's launch of seven pro-abortion billboards that invoke the Bible, reports The Daily Caller. The billboards advertise the recently launched website abortion.ca.gov, which provides information to help mothers in pro-life states kill their babies in California. The billboards are going up in Texas, Indiana, Ohio, Mississippi, South Dakota, South Carolina and Oklahoma. Shockingly, the billboards in Mississippi and Oklahoma invoke passages from the Bible to promote their abortion site. The billboards quoted Mark 12:31 — “Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no greater commandment than these.” By the way, the other commandment to which “these” refers is “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.” And, The Worldview would add, if you love the Lord your God, you will hate what He hates. In Proverbs 6:16-19, Solomon writes that the Lord hates seven things “that are detestable to Him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies, and a person who stirs up conflict in the community." Governor Newsome is guilty as sin of all seven! Chick-fil-A employee rescued woman and baby from carjacker And finally, how about some good news? A Florida Chick-fil-A employee came to the rescue when a woman with a baby had her car keys stolen in the restaurant parking lot. He took down the thief, helping foil the attempted carjacking, and has since been recognized for his bravery with a community service citizens' award, reports The Epoch Times. On September 14, Mykel Gordon was working his afternoon shift in Fort Walton Beach, Florida when he heard screaming in the parking lot. Running to investigate, he found a woman with a baby in her arms. The woman was lifting her baby out of her car when she was approached by a man holding a stick, who demanded her keys. The man, 43-year-old William Branch, snatched the keys from the woman's waistband and got inside the vehicle. When Gordon arrived at the scene, he pulled Branch from the vehicle and wrestled him to the ground, sustaining a punch to the face. After a witness captured the takedown on video, it went viral on Twitter where it has been viewed 8.5 million times. Thankfully, he was able to keep Branch subdued until police arrived on the scene. In the award ceremony, these were the words of the Sheriff. SHERIFF: “Due to Mykel's courageous actions and unhesitating response, no innocent patrons were injured during this incident. For his heroic actions, Thomas Mykel Gordon is being presented with the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office Community Service Award. Congratulations!” GORDON: “Thank you very much.” Close And that's The Worldview in 5 Minutes on this Monday, September 26th, in the year of our Lord 2022. We piss people off when we start with sports but this week it had to be done. From injuries to another starting QB people had high hopes for, to streak ending comebacks, and of course the 2nd half collapse of the Raiders. Then shocking news out of Georgia has Atlanta's Chaka Zulu charged with murder, while he claims it was self defense. We try to make sense of it based on what we know about the Disturbing Tha Peace CEO. Then is August Alsina really trying to pop out in September? A photo has surfaced of Alsina appearing to have a bloody mouth, he claims was given to him by Tory Lanez and his crew. Who knows what happened both artists are signed to CAP-A-LOT Records. Governor Newsome made California the 7th state to prohibit employers from firing or not hiring employees who smoke cannabis of the clock. Is it a good or bad thing for the state? Also Post Malone had a bad fall at his recent concert, when an area in the stage for raising and lowering his guitar was left open and he landed hard enough to break 3 ribs. To his credit he finished his show. Or did he? Then a story about Iron Mike that Fat Joe shares has us happy that Remy Ma is ok. I promise it will make sense. Welcome to 2nd Amendment Radio & the Great Outdoors with Marc Cox & Bo Matthews – as always we are produced by Carl Middleman (Pew Pew)! This week the boys talk with Conservation Agent Christina Hibler from the Missouri Dept of Conservation about raccoons – it's huntin' season! Then Sam Paredes is the Executive Director with Gun Owners of California. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Gun Owners of America and Treasurer of Gun Owners Foundation. The concealed-carry gun bill just died in the California Legislature, despite backing from top Democrats, which is a huge blow to Governor Newsome and all his woke liberal buddies. This bill failed to pass by two votes. Plus Marc was on the Bourbon Trial and Carl dressed up as Pitbull.
Before I get to the meat of today's show, I did have to open with more examples of the dangers of magic-thinking on behalf of our elected (or appointed) leaders. The EU, after embracing short-sighted energy policies, are asking people to limit their use of electricity or gas in order to (where have you heard this before) flatten the curve. Chinese spy banger, Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) mocked Governor Abbott of Texas two months ago for daring to allow people to leave their thermostats unchecked. Today, he begs Californians to bend to the yoke of Governor Newsome's energy restrictions in order to avoid rolling blackouts. Magic-thinking is on full display for all to see. But, that isn't my main topic today. Because our Legacy/mainstream media is full of people who are too dumb to ask questions or to realize their own ignorance, I have to fix some grave errors surrounding yet another Biden DOJ leak. With both breathless and reckless abandon, the news is all aflutter with word of documents seized from Mar-a-Lago contain documentation of a “foreign government's nuclear capabilities.” This morning, CBS reporter Catherine Herridge, who should know better, made several grievous errors by conflating information and misrepresenting more. While doing so, if you listen carefully, the story is filled with caveats and CYA language to provide cover when they turn out to be wrong. “Unidentified sources”, “may”, “could”, “might”, “potentially”, “unconfirmed” etc… This latest leak follows on the heals of what Judge Cannon cited in her 24 page ruling as yet another reason for the appointment of a Special Master to review the seized documents and items from Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago home. The leaks are designed to shape the narrative, spin the story and enlist the aid of an all-too-willing sycophantic media to run with mindless drivel. Thus, I spend a portion of the show once again explaining how the intelligence community operates and point out all of the flaws in the reporting over the latest Biden DOJ leak. As I wrap up, I refer to a piece written by Margot Cleveland in The Federalist. The piece is a nice companion to much of what I brought to all of you on yesterday's show. The story is entitled, “Special Master order reveals Biden's direct involvement in Trump raid and six other bombshells.” Granted, long-time listeners of the show will have already known most of these revelations, but it is always nice to get reinforcement from other independent writers and researchers. Ultimately, if we do not, as a nation, reject this current machination of the regime, we risk allowing it to become the “new norm” in politics. The political pendulum swings both ways and what works for Democrats today, will be decried by them tomorrow when the table are inevitably turned. Neither side should want our nation to continue down this path. Rather, we should all want and strive for a return to the fundamental roots of our Republic and the safety is secures for both the majority and, more importantly, the minority. In this episode Isaiah reacts to the Cardinals giving Kyler Murray a 5-yr $230M extension, but explains why he agrees with the decision to extend Murray as the Cardinals stay relevant (1:44). Following Isaiah continues to discuss the future ramifications of the Kyler Murray extension and what it means for other QBs that will get paid or extended soon (24:25). He also goes in-depth to how teams are paying the QB position. Lastly Isaiah addresses the hypocrisy of California's Governor Gavin Newsome concerning UCLA leaving the PAC-12 (53:07).

Welcome to another episode of TMM…where you can also find us at “The Old Man-dot-show”... try it! Also, happy post 4th of July. I have WAY too many tabs open in my browser most of the time. It's as cluttered and messy as the rest of my house. I leave these tabs open because I think they contain something I want ot share with you, which is another way of saying something I want to complain, rant or brag about. I have a few items I'd like to complain about before hopefully getting to something hopeful. Item #1: Forth of July Message from California's Governor Gavin Newsome 4th of July message: In it he starts off by saying let's talk… translation: let me talk… about what's going on in America… translation: let me bag on Florida Governor Ron…ald McDonald Desantis. Governor Newsome, don't start off saying you want to talk about America and then attack another Governor, the images contained Desantis and the graphics were about Desantis. It's this kind of rhetoric that actually contributes to the divisiveness in our country and it is not taking the high road. Mean what you say and say what you mean. In other words, if you tell your citizens to wear masks, YOU wear a mask. Even in Napa Valley. Don't get me wrong, I am not defending Wrong Desantis. I am NOT a fan of that egomaniac. However… of the numerous laws Desantis has signed, the “Parental Rights in Education law, which prohibits discussion of sexual orientation or gender identity in kindergarten through third grade classrooms.” This is going to sound like I'm a crazy conservative, but is that all that bad? Kindergarten through 3rd grade. Four and five year olds to what… eight years old? There shouldn't be ANY sexual education talk of ANY kind in those grades, should there? What a great bargaining chip to use to look for compromise. And if there's a kid having sexual identity issues in those grades, can't we deal with it on a case by case basis with some compassion? Do we need a law for that. My recollection of grade school was a one night presentation with fathers and sons in attendance in the auditorium. That was it. My biggest takeaway from that was on the ride home I was able to get away with saying the F-word in front of my dad. And I said it with a little pause before adding the “i-n-g” so it seemed like I didn't even now how to pronounce it. And my dad said, “yes, yes. This is fucking.” Man, I felt so victorious that night. I'd pulled a major coupe. Back to Gavin Gruesome… at the end of his message talking about America… if America was Flrorida, he invites Floridians to join us here in California. Hey Gavin, we've got 39 million people in this state plus a housing crisis. And you want more people to come to California? Seriously? We're driving wealthy residents out of the state and you want to bring disenfranchised poor Floridians to California? You think the rich ones that can afford housing on the beach in Miami are going to come? No. We'll have even more homeless….oops, unhoused people than we already have. Why? So you can win your reelection campaign? That's who paid for the message by the way. Silicon valley isn't the only place where businesses are leaving California. I'll get a Netflix, Stranger Things plug in here and I'm sure that if you've been watching Stranger Things you don't watch the credits. You think that show was shot in Hollywood? Even the scenes that were supposed to take place in Los Angeles were filmed in and around Albuquerque New Mexico where a LOT of productions take place as well as Wilmington, North Carolina and Vancouver, British Columbia for that matter. And it's rarely for the landscapes. I'm sure you know that Southern California can provide damn near any landscape you want, except maybe a rainforest. Heck that's what a soundstage is for. So, there's a whole other industry besides high tech that has left California. Okay, see how my rants just swirl around and don't' really go anywhere? (toilet) I guess if I had a point, it's that California's Governor shouldn't be inviting a population to come to California when we can't house the ones we have already. And if it was a political stunt for his reelection campaign and he's calling out Florida's Goofy Governor “Wrong” DeSantis, then I'd have to go with “Shame on You Gavin Gruesome”. Chucking barbs at your opponent or the other party is just perpetuating the horrible divisiveness we're already bogged down in. Find another way to craft your message. What was I talking about? See? Okay, horrible politicians on the left and right. All that for only item #1! Item #2: C.S. Lewis and Lewis Carroll are not the same person. I obviously have way too much computer time. I try to keep my daughter from it but at the same time I can spend hours sitting in front of my computer… accomplishing, what? Am I fooling myself into thinking I'm educating myself? To what end? So I can take some information that's little more than trivia, and regurgitate it in a conversation (or a podcast) to make people think I'm educated and worldly? Please. So here's how I went from C.S. Lewis to Lewis Carrol to the Beatles to The Animals to… what? It really led to nothing. I was initially trying to find the origin of the saying, “Don't judge a person before walking a mile in their shoes.” I still don't think I have it but it led me to some very random places. The oldest origin I found was from a Native American prayer that goes: “Great Spirit — Grant that I may not criticize my neighbor until I have walked a mile in his moccasins.” While that rabbit hole didn't lead me to a satisfying end it somehow got me on to C.S. Lewis and the Christian metaphors he used in his books, specifically “The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe”. But instead of C.S. Lewis, I thought it was Lewis Carrol who wrote Alice in Wonderland, no… Through the Looking Glass. And in that book, Tweedledee and Tweedledum, who would be perfect guests for this show, recite the poem, “The Walrus and The Carpenter” to Alice… The poem tells of the Walrus and the Carpenter luring young oysters out of their beds and on to the shore where they are all eaten by the Walrus and the Carpenter, even when one of the older oysters warns them. In the Disney movie the Walrus eats all of the oysters and the Carpenter doesn't get any. In the book it appears both eat some of the oysters but it appears the Walrus gets most of them. Their untimely end comes when the Walrus says: "The time has come," the Walrus said, "To talk of many things: Of shoes—and ships—and sealing-wax— Of cabbages—and kings— And why the sea is boiling hot— And whether pigs have wings." "But wait a bit," the Oysters cried, "Before we have our chat; For some of us are out of breath, And all of us are fat!" "No hurry!" said the Carpenter. They thanked him much for that. Even there at the end of that stanza the Carpenter cuts them some slack. Many have analyzed Carrol's work to look for hidden meaning an metaphor including the Walrus and the Carpenter represents Communism vs. Capitalism or that one represents Christianity and Western religion while the other represents Buddhism and Eastern Religion OR… that Lewis Carrol did drugs when he wrote Alice in Wonderland. The general consensus on that is NO, he was simply writing for children to entertain them and their imaginations. If fact, one of the illustrators for a later edition of the book said that the original illustrator had the choice of a butterfly, a carpenter or a baronet (the holder of a rank of honor below a baron and above a knight, oh my god the rabbit holes people, I'm gonna break an ankle). Because, you see, butterfly, carpenter and baronet all have the same number of syllables and would keep the cadence of the poem. But what I did find interesting is that The Walrus from the poem is what John Lennon refers to in the Beatles, “I am The Walrus” from their Magical Mystery Tour Album, and if I play one second of that song this whole episode will get deleted from most platforms it's published. Oops! Her is an excerpt from the 1980 Playboy magazine interview with John Lennon: LENNON: "The first line was written on one acid trip one weekend. The second line was written on the next acid trip the next weekend… PLAYBOY: "What about the walrus itself?" LENNON: "It's from 'The Walrus and the Carpenter.' 'Alice in Wonderland.' To me, it was a beautiful poem. It never dawned on me that Lewis Carroll was commenting on the capitalist and social system. I never went into that bit about what he really meant, like people are doing with the Beatles' work. Later, I went back and looked at it and realized that the walrus was the bad guy in the story and the carpenter was the good guy. I thought, Oh, shit, I picked the wrong guy. I should have said, 'I am the carpenter.' But that wouldn't have been the same, would it? (singing) 'I am the carpenter....'" So this got me to thinking if John was the Walrus from a Lewis Carroll peom, then who is the eggman? It turns out the Eggman is Eric Burdon. Please don't say who is Eric Burdon. Did you just say who is Eric Burdon? Shame on you. How about Eric Burdon and The Animals, does that sound more familiar? How about the band WAR? That Eric Burdon, who Rolling Stone named #57 on their list of top 100 Greatest Singers of All Time. Why is Eric Burdon the eggman? Apparently, Mr. Burdon had this sexual fetish that involved cracking a raw egg and I won't get into anymore details on that. However, Eric relayed the story to John Lennon and Lennon nicknamed Eric “Eggman” as in, “go get it Eggman.” How's that for a rabbit hole? The rabbit hole continued by the way as I found an interview of John Lennon speaking of the Beatles songs he liked personally… It also led me to this bit from Lennon not long before his assassination on being 40, on not being the person his fans wanted him to be, on what it's like being in your 20's and having people hang on your every word Basically the message is that we all need the time to grow out of our misconceptions about life. Many teens and twenty-somethings are full of energy and piss and vinegar and it lacks focus and direction because they haven't figured it out yet. It comes with a lot of frustration and even anger. And the last thing this age group needs, particularly males… particularly white males… are guns… particularly assault rifles. I had to do it, didn't I? I had to ruin a nice nostalgic romp by bringing in politics. Here it is: you shouldn't be allowed to purchase a gun, particularly an assault style weapon until you are 25 and here's why: leave it to experts in assessing risk and see what they do. The insurance industry. They don't let anyone rent a car until they're 25 years old. Why? Because when it comes to a vehicle that travels at high speeds and can kill someone, they are relatively irresponsible, they make bad decisions and they are a bad risk when it comes to renting a car. Bad risk, bad business decision, so they don't do it. No one complains about that. It's a fact of life and it's common sense. So do the same with guns. And you might say: “Oh but I can get drafted and then they GIVE me a gun! Very, very different situation. 1) they train you very specifically and thoroughly on the use of said weapon, 2) You are not allowed to carry it around wherever you go unless, #3) You are going into combat where there will be many others with the same weapons. It's called our military or militia which we did not have… at all, when the 2nd amendment was written, including all that stuff I said in another episode about how many shots could be fired per minute when the 2nd amendment was written. It's 3 shots per minute by the way, maybe 4 if you're an expert at reloading a musket. Not 40 or 60 or 100 or whatever number you come up with. Okay, I apologize for ruining a nice story about a poem with politics. Actually, the first story was about politics too only I was mainly bagging on the other party. I try to be an equal opportunity offender. Well, I might as well make it three for three… ITEM #3: the Saturday Night Massacre - What the heck was that? I'm sure you guys know because you're not morons but I had never heard of it and it was brought up as a parallel to the January 6th shenanigans of our former idiot in chief Donald Dump. On October 20th 1973 Nixon ORDERED his Attorney General AND his Deputy AG to fire the guy investigating the Watergate break-in. Not only did they not fire him, they both resigned in protest which left the role of attorney general to the Solicitor General. This poor bastard went along with Nixon's request and fired the special prosecutor Cox. Less than a half hour later, the White House sent FBI agents to shut down the offices of the Special Prosecutor, AND the Attorney General AND Deputy Attorney General. Can you believe that shit? Well, the 1970's version of the internet blew up, that being Western Union telegraph. Have any of you ever sent a telegram? Me neither. Over 50,000 telegrams came in to Washington DC from citizens. I wonder what the equivalent number of tweets would be? Members of Congress, presumably democrats, called for Nixon's impeachment. So… Nixon had to appoint another prosecutor for the Watergate scandal named Leon Jaworski, remember that name? No, not the Eagles quarterback, that's Ron Jaworski. Well, Jaworski pressed for the release of those tricky Dick tape recordings… the one's that mysteriously had like 17 minutes missing? And he got them released and the following August tricky Dick took a final trip… home… Touching. Well, it appears our favorite reality show president, how's that for irony, literally held an episode of the apprentice in the oval office and considered pulling the same stunt. He had his AG and his Deputy AG along with the nutty environmental attorney Jeffrey Clark. Clark is the one that was told to go back to his office and they would call him when there's an oil spill. Trump was told he would face massive resignations and he knew this Clark guy would not make it happen for Donny boy. But it's an interesting parallel between the teflon Don and tricky Dick. ITEM #4: NPR wants you to make them your only news source. I heard this just a few minutes ago. No Emmie Martinez No, Ari Shapiro. And even a no to, “Oh goodness gracious It's Scott Simon”. The days of trusting one news source is gone and if you are using only one news source, then shame on you. Go and read some news from a site that's a little bit to the right or left of where you normally sit in your comfort zone. But no single news sources anymore unfortunately. Wow, I got through that last one pretty efficiently. CLOSE - In closing, I think one thing is very obvious… I need to find guests for this show. Otherwise It's too much. Too much of me, too much opinion, and way too much work. At least twice as much work, probably more and it's not as enjoyable for either of us. Also… an addendum to try and correct my moronoscity, did a quick search and it seems you can rent a car if you are under 25 these days, but you will pay a premium to do so. Drivers under the age of 25 can expect to pay an “underage fee” and depending on the location that is around $25 to $30 a day which adds up. But the rationale is the same: younger drivers are less experienced at driving (or life) and and are more likely to take risks and this holds especially for males as they are generally more likely to take risks in terms of health and the enjoyment expected from risky activities. In the wake of a Supreme Court apparently gearing up to restrict abortion laws or leave the issue up to the states, pro- choice advocates react. Calfornia Gov. Gavin Newsome aiming to fashion anti- gun laws after a Texas abortion ban the Court upheld Friday: The enforcement of the law would be left up to private individuals who would sue the violators, just like the Texas abortion law, SB 8 provides. The Vice President Was In CA Campaigning For Governor Newsome. The White Houses Ambitious Climate Change Policy. Plus An Update On Our Border.
Live from the no panic zone--I'm Steve Gruber--I am America's Voice-- I am Fierce and Fearless-- I am here to tell the truth--I mean lets be honest--somebody has to--And--I'm the guy-- Here are three big Things you need to know right now-- Three-- Here is one of the most Orwellian things you will hear-- ever--the CDC has actually--secretly changed the definition of vaccine--so that the ones that are currently not performing well--can be seen in a much better light-- Two-- In Virginia--a shocking poll--shows the Republican running for Governor is in the lead--it is the first poll to show such a thing--and Democrats are in a panic--because it all come back to Joe Biden-- One-- And in California--more panicking--and it's the same thing--they claim Gavin Newsome is doing great--but their actions are telling a very different story-- Larry Elder the leading Republican is being attacked by masked thugs in public--getting pelted by eggs--the LA Times calls him the black face of White Supremacy--and Governor Newsome says--he is everything that is wrong with President Trump and his supporters-- Newsome and his allies also claim that the Governor is now running away in the recall election--but someone who has been there before--in the thick of a recall election in the state of California--says he doesn't think so--in fact Arnold Schwarzenegger says--its looking an awful lot like 2003 when Gray Davis got booted out of office for incompetence-- And it is the far left radicals--on the coasts--that are finding themselves farther and farther from reality--I mean they actually think January 6th is like Gettysburg--or Normandy

LIVE FROM THE NO PANIC ZONE— I AM AMERICA'S VOICE—I'M STEVE GRUBER—GOD BLESS AMERICA—THIS IS THE STEVE GRUBER SHOW— HERE ARE 3 BIG THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW RIGHT NOW— THREE— A Michigan High School is facing strong backlash—after a student—the class valedictorian— is told she's not allowed to discuss—God or Jesus in her speech to the graduates— TWO— The backlash against those who shot down the idea of the Sars Cov-2 virus escaping from the Wuhan Institute of Virology Lab in China— and the case for the Lab being the starting point of the pandemic is growing stronger by the day— ONE— Governor Gavin Newsome—is among those calling for gun control once again—after another deadly mass shooting—this time in San Jose California—8 people were killed and then the gunman committed suicide at the railyard— The call to curb or curtail the 2nd Amendment was as predictable as anything in America these days—BUT the rash of mass killings is disturbing too—and it does make me pause to say—what can be done—short of disarming me—because that would not change a thing— But that is always the case—Democrats and anti gun activists always go right to disarming everyone—even though that would have little if any effect at all—I mean lets look at the fact that California has some of the very toughest and most restrictive gun laws in America—and it did nothing to stop the San Jose' Slaughter on Wednesday—so I ask Governor Newsome—short of taking every single weapon in America—what could you really do to stop such a terrible thing from happening?
Corbin Carson comes on the show to talk about a child dying on the freeway during a road rage shooting in Orange County. Governor Newsome paid millions in Personable protective equipment aka masks that the state can't get rid of. An update from the Recall Gascon Desk.

Plausibly Live! - The Official Podcast of The Dave Bowman Show
Barely a week has passed since religious conservatives on the Atlantic Coast were celebrating their victory in the North Carolina District Court, overturning the Governors Executive Orders ban on religious gatherings, calling it a violating of the free exercise clause of the 1st Amendment. Within hours of that ruling, the 9th Circuit Court met to decide whether a San Diego District Judges denial of an almost identical request for a TRO in California should be reconsidered. By a two to one margin, the panel upheld the District Judges denial for a TRO and let stand Governor Newsomes order that banned gatherings for religious services by large numbers that violate social distancing rules. The Church has appealed to the Supreme Court, which sets up an interesting set of potential circumstances. To understand the potential arguments, we have to go back in time, first to 1949, when a Catholic Priest gave a speech to some eight hundred members of the Christians Veterans of America. Another sixteen-hundred people were also there, and they did not like what he was saying. This led to what many described as a riot, and led to a fierce discussion of what exactly is free speech and more importantly a full-on debate about the limits on the 1st Amendments protections. Then we move to Hialeah, FL in 1993. There, the City Council heard testimony from various officials, including the Police Department Chaplain, calling a specific religious belief offensive and un-American. They then passed a city ordinance essentially banning the religious practice, which was subsequently upheld by the State Courts and the US District Courts. The Supreme Court, on the other hand, saw things differently. And it was here that the 9th Circuit Panel looked when they considered whether or not to hear the appeal from South Bay United Pentecostal Church vs Gavin Newsome. All of this leaves us with more questions than answers

COVID-19 topics discussed on the Show today are as follows: - How states are issuing both in judicial and non-judicial foreclosure states foreclosure and eviction moratoriums of various kinds; - How borrowers can potentially bring in California declaratory or injuctive relief lawsuits if any notice of default (NOD) is filed against them at this time, on the basis that such an NOD per se violates Governor Newsome's order to 'shelter in place' statewide, which among other things probhibits public gatherings. This order therefore makes holding foreclosure auctions impossible in California, without violating this order; - How states such as Calfornia are closing or limiting access to county recorders, and the implications this has for the recording of notice of defaults (NODs), and Notice of Trustee's Sales (NOTSs); - How court access both Federal and State is being heavily restricted and what this means for borrowers, from both a positive and negative point of view; - Bill will discuss the COVID-19 impact on forensic loan audits and the intel gathering he does in his nvestigative work on behalf of borrowers; - Expanding on what Neil discussed last week in his own coronavirus update show, how legal procedure potentially will change in the coming months to accommodate a more virtual access to courts, legal procedure, etc, which will have impacts both positive and negative for borrowers;
Mike & Jay open the episode with a discussion of Judge Aileen Cannon's order to appoint a special master to review the Trump Mar-a-Lago raid documents. Mike agrees with many legal analysts (including former Trump Attorney General Bill Barr) that the ruling is on shaky legal ground but sees is as politically wise. Jay agrees, though he thinks that Cannon's order is more defensible than Mike believes it is.Next, they turn to Donald Trump's Pennsylvania rally, which was full of the usual Trump tropes – wild unsupported assertions, airing of grievances, as well as the occasional mention of the candidates he was ostensibly there to support. Mike and Jay agree that Trump may have willingly walked into a trap set by Biden and Democrats, who are eager to make the upcoming midterm elections about Trump. But Jay doesn't think that it's likely to move the needle much, while Mike cautions his fellow Democrats to not be too surprised if Republicans end up with control of both chambers in January of 2025.Then it's a look at the decision of a New Mexico judge who removed county commissioned Couy Griffin from office, citing his violation of the 14th Amendment's Insurrection Clause. Mike & Jay agree that what Griffin did doesn't amount to insurrection, and that it's a bad precedent for judges to start deciding that those convicted of no more than misdemeanors are insurrectionists who are barred from office.Finally, they discuss California's Fast Food Accountability and Standards Recovery Act, which Governor Newsome signed into law on Labor Day. Mike really likes the sectoral bargaining basis of the law, but he was disappointed in finding no good analyses of the costs and benefits of the legislation. Jay comes out firing, as he hates pretty much everything about the new law.The Politics Guys on Facebook | TwitterListener support helps make The Politics Guys possible.
