Y a mí me afectó… y mucho.

In this episode, Paul and I discuss the modality of holographic sound – the blending of sound and sacred geometry – and how he has worked with this healing modality in grief counseling and beyond. We next discuss the Hathors, fifth dimensional beings who are masters of sound, music and love – and the impact they have had on Paul's journey as well as the Ancient Egyptian civilization. We next discuss the Atlantean civilization and their use of a crystal grid system. We question why mainstream science remains dismissive of the modalities of sound healing and crystal energies. Then, we examine the Great Pyramid of Giza, how the pyramidal structure was able to generate energy, and the ascension chamber in the King's Chamber. We talk about Paul's relationship with spiritual traditions during his childhood and the experiences that led him to start incorporating belief systems into grief counseling. We end the discussion exploring the mystery school teachings, the reality of the imagination, and our recent trip to Petra. Today I'm releasing my next installment in my God Among MGTOW Series. This one is about the famous petroleum geologist M. King Hubbert who went his own way and stood up to the Shell Oil Company in 1956. I usually don't feature men that are married and have families in this series. But the reason I'm featuring him is because this man had the strength to stand up for the research, regardless of what the company paying him told him to do. So let me take you back to 1956. In that year Marion King Hubbert or M. King Hubbert as he is sometimes referred to was working as a geoscientist for the Shell oil company in one of their laboratory in Houston, Texas. On March 8th, 1956 he made a speech to the Southern Section of the American Petroleum Institute in San Antonio Texas. He was about to go up on stage and present his speech that day but was signaled to leave the stage. In what was a last minute phone call the public relations staff at the Shell Oil company begged him to tone down the parts of his speech that they considered to be sensational. However he didn't do this and instead decided to go his own way instead. He didn't do what people in his own company told him to do. We went on stage and told his audience that oil production in the United States was going to reach a peak or maximum rate of production for conventional oil in 1970. Many of the people in the audience thought he was a crackpot. In some weird way he was like Galileo telling men that the world was flat. He told everyone that United States conventional oil production would peak in 1970 at 3 billion barrels of oil production per year. In reality it peaked in 1970 at 3.4 billion barrels and has never recovered to those levels. Even with Alaska in the nineteen seventies and nineteen eighties and today's Oil Fracking boom it never rose above that point and if oil production from fracking goes into decline within the next 5 years as is predicted by many of today's petroleum geologists then that will mean oil production will continues to decline. I know many of you are skeptics and will say if only the US government would allow for more offshore drilling then everything will be alright. And that the US government is holding back US oil production. On the contrary the US government is doing whatever it can to bend over backwards to the oil companies. They are giving them permits to frack most of America's oil shale. We are in the midst of giant oil boom in North America. But it's not going to last as production starts to peak out and go into decline. Marion King Hubbert is guy most of you haven't heard of before but in the coming decades as global oil production goes into terminal decline you will most likely be hearing his name.People mocked Hubbert and criticized him because up to that point in history more and more oil was being found all of the time back then. It was being found faster then humanity could burn it up. Today for every new barrel of conventional oil we find we burn three. And most of the non-conventional oil is uneconomical at current prices and requires one hundred and fifty to two hundred barrels to be produced for a profit. In recent years, Confucius Institutes—cultural and language programs funded by the Chinese government—have garnered attention in the United States due to a debate over whether they threaten free speech and academic freedom. In addition to this, much of the scholarly work on Confucius Institutes analyzes policy documents. Anthropologist Jennifer Hubbert seeks to ask more complex questions and in-depth research in her new book China in the World: An Anthropology of Confucius Institutes, Soft Power, and Globalization (University of Hawaii Press, 2019). She considers what China’s soft power efforts look like in implementation, in addition to policy, and what this can tell us about China’s changing place in the world. Over the course of five years (2011-2016), Hubbert conducted transnational, multiscalar, multisited ethnographic and archival research in Confucius Institutes in the United States and on Confucius Institute-sponsored travel-study trips to China. She observed and interviewed students, parents, teachers, and administrators about their perceptions of Confucius Institutes and the Chinese state. Ultimately, she concludes that the soft power of the Confucius Institutes is intended to present China as a modern, globalized country not only for Americans and other international audiences but also to a domestic audience in China. Ultimately, she concludes that the soft power of the Confucius Institutes is intended to present China as a modern, globalized country not only for Americans and other international audiences but also to a domestic audience in China. The Toadcast - the weekly podcast from Song, by Toad

After writing about the SAY Award, I thought I might well do a podcast about it, given there are more than enough ace bands and ace records on that list, last year's list and I assume next year's list to make a couple of podcasts. I play a couple of shocking, scandalous omissions from this and last year's long- and shortlists, and stamp my little foot about them. I play a couple of tracks from bands who I reckon should be in with a very strong shout of making next year's shortlist.  And I play a random tune by David Thomas Broughton because he, along with Rick Redbeard who I tip for next year's shortlist, is playing a show in Edinburgh this week.  David on Thursday with Rachael Dadd and Ichi, and Rick on Saturday with the awesome Ian Humberstone.  And again, I try and remind people not to get too worked up about this kind of thing, because, well, if no-one agrees with you that something is excellent, it should hardly make you love it any the less, should it. And equally, being told that yes, you are right, this album is good, shouldn't particularly improve your enjoyment of it should it. So these things are here to be bickered over and are good fun, as well as being fantastic for the artists who win them, but they aren't of course to be taken too seriously. 01. Meursault - Untitled (00.26)02. PAWS - Bird Inside Birddcage, Ribcage Inside Bird (06.40)03. Rick Redbeard - Any Way I Can (14.35)04. David Thomas Broughton - River Lay (20.10)05. The Toadcast - the weekly podcast from Song, by Toad

We are in St. Andrews this weekend for the Fence Collective's Eye of the Dug Festival.  Needless to say, The Dugcast or something to that effect might have been more suitable, but there are so many golf twats around town that I really couldn't ignore them, not after all the effort they make to look like complete prats. I get the impression that with golf, the costumes became so ludicrous that really the only way to look cool, instead of dressing like a normal person, was to try and look like an even bigger fuckwit than the rest of them.  Which, given the exceptionally high bar that has already been set, takes some doing. Anyhow, there is no danger of me ever taking up golf.  None at all.  I already find playing pool frustrating enough, and it strikes me as really quite similar in the following crucial way: you play what turns out to be a perfect shot, then the next time you do what feels like the exact same fucking thing, and yet somehow the shot you produce is dreadful.  With no clue what you've done differently.  It would drive me round the fucking bend.  Anyhow... erm, oh yes, the podcast: 01. Broncho - Try Me Out Sometime (00.09) 02. Silence at Sea - Gladiators on Repeat (05:13) 03. Fat Bicth - The Seagull (12.49) 04. Slowcoaches - 54 (15.57) 05. Ah, Tartan Shortbread, that most wonderful of sardonic Scottish put-downs.  For those unfamiliar with the term, this is the offhand dismissal used to describe the sort of mawkish, clichéd tourist tat which masquerades as Scottish heritage and culture for those with woefully little imagination.  Alternatively, I suppose you could say that Tartan Shortbread is a blanket term for Scottish heritage as a sort of motorway service station take on national identity. Anyhow, given I work very much at the coalface of the DIY music world in Scotland, I find that I have been oddly unsupportive of a large number of Scottish who have emerged in the last couple of years to considerable enthusiasm from the Scottish music press, both professional and amateur. For some reason, the recent bands who have shown some likelihood of cracking an audience wider than the relatively narrow confines of the five million or so people in Scotland itself just haven't appealed to me, with a few notable exceptions.  However, sitting down to assemble the playlist for this week I noticed that there were something like seven of the ten songs which happened to be by Scottish bands.  Oh, I thought to myself, I appear to be Scottish again.  How nice. 01.
