Dans sa saison 1, on a réalisé les compétences de Reacher, dans cette saison 2, on apprend à le connaître personnellement via son passé qui revient. Pour rappel, Jack Reacher ? Non, juste Reacher, pas non plus major Reacher. Tom Cruise délaisse le personnage des romans de Lee Child pour laisser la place à Alan Richtson (vu dans Titans) dans cette série de Nick Santora. Cette adaptation d'Amazon Prime n'est pas une origin story, loin de là, le spectateur fait la connaissance de Reacher alors qu'il a un sacré historique derrière lui. De la bagarre, des muscles mais aussi une bonne dose d'humour ont rendez-vous dans cette adaptation en série. Pour ces nouveaux épisodes, Reacher est tiré de son errance par un message codé, l'avertissant qu'un membre de la 110ème - son groupe d'élite des Forces d'enquêtes spéciales - a été assassiné. Lui et une poignée d'anciens de ses camarades se réunissent pour enquêter, et comprennent vite que l'affaire est plus grande que ce qu'ils auraient pu imagine… La saison 2 est disponible dès le 15 décembre sur Prime Video. https://youtu.be/j09aNPYd6Fo?si=ORKyrwcZKtJxmZyY Toujours aussi efficace, la dynamique est différente dans cette saison maintenant que Reacher a retrouvé ses anciens co-équipiers de la 110e (en plus de Neagley campée par Maria Sten qui avait passé une tête dans la saison 1 déjà). Alors qu'il était toujours solo et parfois avec un partenaire pour de courts moments, cette fois-ci ce sont des gens qui le connaissent personnellement et avec qui il a des liens forts. Alors forcément quand il découvre que plusieurs de ses camarades ont été torturés et assassinés, il n'a plus qu'un seul objectif, découvrir la vérité et l'identité de qui se cache derrière toute cette affaire. De nouveaux visages viennent donc compléter le cast, Shaun Sipos et Serinda Swan parmi les plus connus, et Robert Patrick en méchant. Cette saison met en avant les talents d'enquêteurs de toute la bande sur fond de camaraderie et d'esprit de groupe malgré la violence toujours omniprésente. Eh oui, car Reacher reste une série d'action avec des gros bras qui n'ont pas peur d'en user. Donc oui, de la torture, des morts sur la route, et tout ce qu'on peut attendre. Ce qui est intéressant aussi, c'est qu'on n'est pas dans un programme hyper patriotique insipide non plus, même s'ils ont tous servi à un moment, c'est plus le groupe qu'ils ont formé pour qui chacun exprime de la loyauté plutôt qu'un message générique patriotique. Like every actor on every series these days, Serinda Swan, who plays Jenny Cooper on Coroner, wore masks, shields and "bunny suits" in order to safely shoot scenes through this pandemic. COVID is very much part of the storyline this season, which starts with an investigation of a Long Term Care facility. Did the fact all the actors had to gear up as a matter of course help her get into character? "The physical toll creates a special awareness and an empathy for people who are doing this for the rest of us every single day," says the East Vancouver native.Swan talks about having done her own share of "car crying" the past 10 or 11 months. "You can see it in people's eyes," she says. "There are a lot of emotions hidden behind masks."This podcast, therefore, leans into the funny where we can. Like the time she accidentally ate a chocolate or two spiked with a little something extra.That came up because Jenny Cooper unknowingly devours a Marijuana-laced brownie in one of the new season's lighter moments. Swan says she had to gobble down14 regular brownies in order to get the scene covered from six different set ups. She hasn't eaten a brownie since. Serinda actually gravitated to the arts and at three was personally chosen for the role in her first motion picture, Cousins with Ted Danson and Isabella Rossellini. Swan was introduced to the world in popular TV shows such as Smallville and Supernatural in Vancouver. She is most proud of her roles in Feud, Ballers, Marvels and Humans and Coroner. Swan recently wrapped Blood on Wheels, a feature produced by James Franco. Outside of her busy acting career, Swan’s true passion is activism. In 2011 she became an official ambassador of Friends to Mankind, an organization that partners with non-profits to raise awareness and funds through educational campaigns. Swan has cycled across Cambodia, installed nets in Africa, and skydived from 18,000 ft., the highest jump in North America, in hopes of encouraging others to take a stand and make a difference. She has helped raise over one million dollars to date for various charities and causes close to her heart. Swan is the CEO and Co-Founder of the education technology company, Deedly. Her belief is that education should be free, and through their specific month-long curriculum they educate students about world issues and the charities that strive to fix them. Fitz being the replaced the whole time should come out as a shock later. Now it comes out as one of the four. No need to him to be one since the beginning from a writers pov. On top of that we were told by radicliffe that at one point there were two LMD's in place. That turned out to be May and Radcliffe himself.  We also some him developing the framework with May the whole time, never Fitz. I was disappointed that Fitz was an LMD. I had hoped that he and Simmons would be fighting against four LMD's instead of Daisy. And it makes no sense to me that they never replaced her. She's always been the most dangrous one. Clark (Tom Welling) meets Zatanna (guest star Serinda Swan) at a comic book convention, where she tells him her father charmed a copy of the comic book "Warrior Angel" and it holds magical powers.
